« Miami Dolphins lose to the Browns, 17-16, and still winless | Main | Dolphins' Ross may be one who needs to 'stop quitting' »

Source: Dolphins '100 percent' not firing Sparano now

The Dolphins are 0-3 and they're in disbelief.

They cannot believe they are 0-3. They cannot believe they got there by losing to the Cleveland Browns today, 17-16.

But despite being in last place in the AFC East and one of only two teams standing at 0-3 as of this moment, the club is not planning on firing coach Tony Sparano right now.

I asked a source if there are changes planned in that regard this week. "No, nothing," was the response.

I asked for clarification. Are you 100 percent, I asked.

"One hundred percent," was the emphatic answer.

Sparano, for his part, told me he also has not been told of any change or planned change.

Obviously, folks can sleep on their thoughts overnight. Obviously, we are operating in the span of one hour after a loss and people can change their mind. But that's how things are at the moment as the Dolphins just left Cleveland Browns Stadium.

you obviously dont mean chuck a pick Henne!!!

Posted by: ctfinsphan | September 25, 2011 at 10:51 PM

Yeah, duh! Chuck a pick is better than a Miamian quitter!

Henne and Long both should be released............from their misery

Henne threw ANOTHER pick, CUT HIM NOW!

If you guys had been sacked 5 times and hit many more. Your words would become jumbled in your sentences too.

long stays Henne I agree, he is not the solution to this problem. W-L proves same, start the backup matt or mike or fred or whomever.

PEOPLE IN FL HAVE NO SHAME;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

ARMANDO HAS NO SHAME ,(( BUFFET OF KNOWLEDGE ))\\

MIKE NOLAN HAS NO SHAME FOR HAVNG 1-9 LAST 10 GAMES AND RESIGNING .

TS HAS NO SHAME ,FOR SAYING YEAS FOR EXTRA 3 YEARS AFTER THE FAMOUS ROSS TRIP TO CA .

HENNING WAS BETTER THAN DABOLL THE MEATBALL GUY .

dont stop believing... I mean quitting. Henne says it all. in the toilet we are with him. we go 2-14 and you all still think it is not his fault. Priceless.

Dying B, that was a Freudian slip on Henne's part, he thought what he said, he didn't mean to say it....but it's in the back of his mind. The question is, was he including himself? Oscar, your thoughts?

IF HENNING WAS HERE .WE NEVER BE 0-3 ,NEVER

Bring back Henning!

Ok, I admit I was wrong. We were better last year with WC and all.

Valhalla!

I still say Henne would be an excellent backup qb. Redzone is where the qb earns his money.

Even if a qb throws for 5,000yds but his team finishes dead last in points scored. It all went for nil!

Henne meant to say they wont stop trying!

Posted by: DyingBreed | September 25, 2011 at 10:53 PM

No, he meant Miami has a bunch of quitters. He didn't stutter.

The stutterer would be the Coach of the QUITTERS!

Cut Henne/Trade Long. By the time Miami rebuilds AGAIN, neither will still be playing anyways. Henne is already no help and Long will have LONG since been retired. Trade them now while you can still get something for them/Ala Bellicheat.

Load up for Luck, Miami needs it!

Henne will make a fine backup for a good team. Maybe he can back up Beck (if he ever gets a start)

Dont get me wrong, Henne plays well enough to get a team to a playoffs and SB. But that team has to have the 2002 Ravens defense.

This team doesnt even have the Dolphins 2007 defense!

L O V E L Y \/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\//\//\/\///\/\/\/\//\/\ !!!!!!

Holy God I just got back from the Cleveland game, and things were not good. I sat 4th row in the corner where Thomas got his rushing TD and where Smith got crazy lit up. Smith is waaay cocky. He was joking around all warmup with 1st row dawg pound dolfans about catching a pick 6 and lambeau leaping into them. Maybe he should have been working on his coverage skills.
Daboll was running around all positive and clapping, and acting like a schmuck. Wake was invisible, Taylor has no gas in the tank. the D handed Cleveland more 1st downs than they earned. WHAT A MESS!

JT...MY A SSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

R.BUSH//MY A SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

DANSBY............. MY A SSSSSSSSSSS

SMITH..................... MY A SSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

VALLLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

who is our backup qb? Time to give it a try.. cant do any worse!!!

Posted by: ctfinsphan | September 25, 2011 at 10:54 PM

Wow, you don't even know who our back up is and you expect people to actually consider your opinion?

Duh, alrighty then-ROTFLMAO!

Get a life-PUNK!

It was a touchdown Catch there partner!

Henne should be used on non-clutch downs. On critical downs, or final 2 minute drives, bring in Moore.

Don Strock???

You guys kill me!!!! I love the tragic comedy on this blog!!! LOL

No, redsky, he(Henne) is performing well and should not be ashamed of it at all. Yes, he meant the other guys.

roger Moore?
roger rabbit?
tyler pigthen---- he has a good shot at starting .

MiKE NOLAN AND HIS SO CALLED (( LAYERS )) Ar a joke ........................

How much of this year's 0-3 start is the result of stupid personnel decisions made by the Front Office?

I don't blame Channing Crowder for leaving. It must get frustrating to keep playing for a franchise that's lost its desire to win.

This isn't a Shula Football Team!

redsky,
you are a tool. that is my opinion

I saw it today. That Dline has quit and are only going thru the motions.

Toronto RY, thanks for the on scene report, that explains a lot!!!

Time to hit the hay. You people (odin et al) disgust me.

someone is copying me...fakers

So have the LB's.

ross should cut the salary of all the personal on this team to 5 dollars a month and a loaf of bread .

So has Henne. As he said he is quitting

I agree! It's all Henne, cut him now, please.

All Super Bowl teams have o-lines that give up 5 sack, 6 knockdowns and constant pressure TO TEAMS LIKE THE BROWNS-ROTFLMAO!

Not to mention 50 million dollar no.1 receivers that consistently drop passes in the end zone-Bhwaaaaaaa Haaaaaa Haaaaaaaaa!

Please cut Henne now! Start the back up, you know, what's his name(snicker, snicker)!

Burnett 2 tackles. No ints, no QB hits, no forced fumbles, no highlights.

Who said this guy was an upgrade???

odinseye,

Did Henne play good enough to win today?

ALoco,

During the offseason you were saying Ross should hide his money from the heyena Cowher.

What he should have really been doing his hiding his money from these clowns now running the show!

OK Odin you know it all. Wow I am so much the wiser. He still throws a junk ball inside the 20. Marshall is a top 5 reeceiver, when a decent qb throws him the ball. So yes its time to cut henne, if you think they are going to re-sign him you have got to be kidding?

My point with the backup is the same with the starter... who? who? is running this team????

Why, redsky? I don't know exactly but there is a Mal de Fondeu in this Team. Obviously.

The defense was better with Crowder. That is the main change. Same DC, same line, same corners, same safeties, same hot dog salesmen.

no henne did not play well enough to win.... bottom line... he lost the game.

Crowder led the D. The D has no leader now. I know, everyone hated Crowder and won't admit the D was better with him.

Buffalo Bills played the game we should have played against Brady and the Pats.

They came from 21pts down, scored the game winning fg, and picked Brady 4 times.

Isnt that the script we hoped would be written for us?

db,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, VERY GOOD POST @ 11.12 PM ...THAT'S A PROOF THAT YOU DO HAVE THE SMART WHEN IT COMES TO FOOBALL ,,,,THAT'S WHY I LOVE TO SEE YOU AS THE FINS NEXT GM .....'''

PS... I AM 24 YEARS AND I LEARN EVERY DAY FROM YOU DB ................

HIRE;

COWER And fire all these clownS INCLUDING IRELAND THE AUTO SHOP MANAGER ..................

its on the qb... 5 seconds 10-15 yards... throw a pick Henne shows his true self.

What! DB you know better bro...you said Henne plays well enough to take a team to the playoffs and SB???
No way brutha... Henne can't even throw a red zone TD man...how the heck do you see playoffs and SB? Unless of course you are being sarcastic

sorry 35 seconds

There is a high probability that the Miami Dolphins will disintegrate in the near Future.

Sparano has lost the team, only not even the team realizes it yet.

Are you partially dysfunctionally illiterate? Next time try reading the entire post.

Guess you skipped over the part that says, "if that team has the 2002 Ravens defense."

Geesh, are you stupid or something? LOL...

OSCAR,

WHY I FEEL YOU THRIVE WHEN THE DOLPHINS GO THROUGH MISERY ??????????????

IS IT ,B/C YOU R 89 YEARS OLD ?

They couldn't stop Cleveland when it mattered. Cleveland, with a 2nd yr QB and without their top RB, they still couldn't stop them. They can't stop anybody.

This defense couldn't stop a brick wall.

I was born to state the Truth, for everybody.

DevilsAdvocate,

The team knows Sparano has lost them. Its just that no one's willing tom publically admit it yet.

If I were a player on this team, both Ireland and Sparano would have lost me with their offseason moves.

Every practice I would have saw Columbo turn into a public turnstile and Sparano continue to defend him. As a player I would be thinking to myself:

"Oh boy, its going to be a very long season"!

DB,]]]

WHAT WOULD YOU DO TOMORROW IF YOU WERE THE FINS GM ???????????

CTfinsphan...you see Henne as I do... Has he improved from the last three years, yes. Is he the answer NO, he mostly sucks, throws a crap ball, can't decide quickly enough, etc..etc..etc... Bottom line..he sucks...I would take Luck and/or any other QB that can actually win us some games..you know, finish the games and throw TD's

DB...I can't see that part on my iPhone...it must be cutoff...my bad

I would steer clear of mirrors ALoco. Reason being everytime I saw my refletion in the mirror I couldnt resist temptation to punch myself in the face!

odinseye,

Did Henne play good enough to win today?

Obviously! But, so I don't offend the challanged Armando fans, NO! Cut him NOW! PLEASE! SERIOUSLY!

Dude, I don't want to be rude, but did you see our Defense convert third downs for the Browns all day?

Didn't you watch the game? For being sacked 5 times, knocked down 6 times and pressured constantly, Henne was outstanding!

The Cleveland fans were laughing and cheering on OUR DEFENSE! It was absurd!

The last 44 seconds of the game? That's what Henne meant by the reast of this Miami team being quitters. Bad play calling and the receivers were so gassed they couldn't get a bit of separation.

It's all fun and games and you can say want you want, but ah, I don't have to wait for Armando to give me my opinion.

I WATCHED THE GAME!

To put it bluntly, Henne's the biggest problem, he should be released immediately. The Dolphins simply have no chance of being relevent before Long retires, so they don't need him either.

To start the rebuild all over again, Long and Henne should be packaged off right now to ensure the landing of Luck in Miami.

Guys, I really don't know that Marshall was a wise move. He is too inconsistent. I think, mentally, he is too preoccupied to give his total attention on the field. Two second round picks? Too much.
