The Dolphins snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
God, they are terrible.
They allowed Tim Tebow, who was sacked seven times and didn't seem to have a clue for 3 1/2 quarters to author a comeback victory. He helped the Broncos score two touchdowns and then get the winning field goal in overtime.
Owner Stephen Ross spent the entire final 5 minutes and overtime standing next to former Gators coach Urban Meyer. That doesn't mean anything short-term because Meyer isn't a coaching candidate today. But add him to the eventual list that will interest Ross. No doubt.
Also, the future of current coach Tony Sparano hangs in the balance tonight. Check back later for updates.

Paging Andrew Luck....
Paging Andrew Luck....
You have the Miami Dolphins holding on line one.

Tebow performs miracle....but Jesus loves the Dolphins
Posted by: SoiledBottom | October 23, 2011 at 04:35 PM
Look on the bright side at least we lost.
Posted by: DKM | October 23, 2011 at 04:35 PM
The only thing missing was Tom Olivadotti standing on the sideline.
Posted by: Downtrodden | October 23, 2011 at 04:36 PM
If Ross wasnt talking to Meyer about coaching this team then he should be run out of town also. How do you yuk it up, on the sideline, on national TV while your team is choking away there ONLY shot that they will have at victory this year? Completely unbelievable!! We are without a doubt the absolute laughing stock of the league. And I wander if Solomon Willcots asked Tebow out on a date after the game. He was mancrushing way out of control

Snagged defeat from the jaws of victory...AWESOME. I turned off TV up 15-0 with 6 minutes left and just found out they did it. My day is looking up!

We're the Miami Frockers, the Miami Frockers, Miami Frockers Number 1.
Starring...Daddy Frocker (Ross), Coach Frocker (TS), and P. Frocker (Ireland)
:-)
Amazing
Posted by: veritas | October 23, 2011 at 04:37 PM
That was just pathetic. I am not the type to want Miami to lose so it kills me every week. How could they lose this game? Ohhh wait they suck, that's right I forgot for a moment.
Posted by: Alan | October 23, 2011 at 04:37 PM
What else does ross need to behead Tony the Useless?
Posted by: IlDux | October 23, 2011 at 04:38 PM
really, ireland should be fired tonight, too.
Posted by: austin | October 23, 2011 at 04:38 PM
The fins are the worst team in the NFL right now......
Posted by: Cuban Menace | October 23, 2011 at 04:38 PM
They're going to screw this up and start making changes. I'm telling you if you put Nolan in there the team will get all inspired and start winning games, as the Cowboys and Vikings did last year. DO NOT change a thing. Let's not get clever. It's working out JUST fine....
Posted by: Craig M | October 23, 2011 at 04:38 PM
I knew we were done when we went into our prevent offense with over five minutes left. Tony strikes again!.
Posted by: Barry | October 23, 2011 at 04:38 PM
I am ready...just call Stephen.
Posted by: Don Shula | October 23, 2011 at 04:39 PM
For any haters out there.....this loss is just what the Dolphins needed..
Posted by: SoiledBottom | October 23, 2011 at 04:39 PM
That 4th quarter collapse and once again Sparano playing conserative on two straight drives should put the nail in his coffin. Amen
Posted by: Joey | October 23, 2011 at 04:39 PM
Finally, I don't care what this team does. It took a long while, but it is official. If they get good, or if they stay losers, I really don't care. I offer a sarcastic thank you to all of the people running this team for ruining my love for the Dolphins.
Posted by: Jebediah Gonzalez-Cohen | October 23, 2011 at 04:39 PM
I TOLD YOU SO...ALL PRESEASON!! :SMH:

Posted by: Gator Nation | October 23, 2011 at 04:40 PM
Tim Tebow, you suck as a QB, but, really, I have never seen a competitor such as you. My hat is off, to you.
Posted by: oscar canosa | October 23, 2011 at 04:40 PM
well, there is probably some contractual issue we don't know about that is keeping ross from firing sparano.
Posted by: austin | October 23, 2011 at 04:40 PM
Even this epic loss does not assure Luck in any way.
The Seahawks lost today, the Rams will too. The Rams may not win a single game. Minnesota is bad.
And when Tony is shown the door the next coach may inspire a couple of wins out of this Dolphin team.
Posted by: Oregon Dolphin fan | October 23, 2011 at 04:40 PM
Well, I don't like it but we are a step closer to a first overall pick. That game was unbelievable. The Phins really really suck.
Posted by: klndry | October 23, 2011 at 04:41 PM
How sad, this tem that does not take pride of how great this team once was. They are going to be 0-16. I love this team, and i can not teach my son to be proud of it. Really sad today and we are the worst team of the NFL.
Posted by: Canuel | October 23, 2011 at 04:41 PM
This one is definitely on Sparano. Bad decision making.
Posted by: WFSLC | October 23, 2011 at 04:41 PM
Tebow just thanked his Lord and savior in the post-game...which dolphin would that be?
Posted by: Don Shula | October 23, 2011 at 04:41 PM
They are cursed...
Posted by: jarhead | October 23, 2011 at 04:41 PM
Man, this loss kills me but there is something magical about Tebow and what he does. Maybe Jesus *does* love him
Posted by: Inept | October 23, 2011 at 04:41 PM
Dont fire Sparano....steady as she goes Captain, full steam ahead, dont worry about the icebergs
Posted by: SoiledBottom | October 23, 2011 at 04:41 PM
Bhwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaa!!!!
VERY FITTING!
I was wrong about T-Bow, he's an All Pro future Hall Of Famer!
PS: Tony, great strategy. Why even try to win with 17 seconds on the clock when you can just blow chunks in OVERTIME! It's your own fault GOOFBALL. They scored 15 unanswered points, converted an onside kick and the refs were letting them hold Taylor and Wake. It's probably a new term for you Tony, it's called MOMENTUM. Much like KARMA, it's a be-atch-ROTFLMAO!
PSS: I think Olshansky and McDaniels are our two best defensive lineman. Neither were drafted by Jeffy and both are better than all his drafted defensiv lineman-DOOH!
I'm a hardcore Dolphin Fan, I can't stand losing and I hat the term, "lets Suck for Luck". Having said all THAT! I do believe, for the first time ever of being a 30+ year Dolphin fan, FOR THE FIRST TIME! I actually ENJOYED this defeat.
One last PSSS for Mr. Ross! Fire the WHOLE crew right NOW! If not for principle, do it for MORALE!
Allow me to end this the way I started:
Bhwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaaa!!!!
VERY FITTING ;P

Posted by: ctphinsfan | October 23, 2011 at 04:42 PM
You guys are NUTS if you want change. Getting rid of Sporano now does NOTHING to help this team. Do what's best for the organization and DO NOT change a thing.
Posted by: Craig M | October 23, 2011 at 04:42 PM
THIS IS WHERE ROSS MUST SHOW FORESIGHT AND LEAVE SPARANO AND IRELAND IN PLACE FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON.
DON'T BE A TOOL, ROSS!
Posted by: Seminole Sam | October 23, 2011 at 04:43 PM
First eight words outta Lil Timmy Tebows Mouth was " I Want to thank my lord and Savior", Makes me want to a Devil worshipper... Incredable defeat even for a spornoteam..........
