The Dolphins will be nursing starting QB Matt Moore this week because he's taken a beating and has sore ribs and could be limited in practice.
So they figured Sage Rosenfels might have to take more reps and might even get a chance to play against the New York Giants. Except, Rosenfels wasn't ready to play against the New York Giants or anyone else because he apparently was still suffering from the affects of the blood infection and strep throat that landed him on injured reserve earlier this season with the New York Giants.
So the Dolphins today placed Rosenfels on the non-football injury list and added J.P. Losman to the roster.
"I am thankful for the opportunity the Dolphins gave me to come here and play, and I was looking forward to contributing to the team when I signed," Rosenfels said in a statement released through his agent Rick Smith.
"When I first joined the Dolphins, all tests showed that I was healthy and ready to go. But after practicing for a few weeks, especially in the heat, some new indications made it obvious that I need to rest and allow my body to regain all requisite strength.
"I want to thank the Dolphins for their understanding and wish them the best of luck the rest of the season."
One hopes the best for Rosenfels ... while the Dolphins continue to struggle with, well, the worst possible circumstances.
Losman, 30, has seven years of experience with Buffalo, Oakland and Seattle. He's not exactly a star. He has thrown 33 career TDs and 34 career INTs. The only season in which he threw more TDs than INTs was 2006 with the Bills.
His career has been on the slide ever since.
Yup, the hits just keep on coming.

But, as somebody I know says, that's what that Boat brought us. And probability lies, that he will plug us in the as-hole.

So we are just finding out our back up quarterback - Rosenfels (that we signed recently) isn't healthy enough to play? Man, the hits just keep on coming with this front office.

NYG - It's based on how the schedules panned out this season, so it's determined postseason.

I don't care who Ross brings in. After Sunday's clusterfuk with that Gator Celebration, there will be a significant amount of non-renewals from Canes fans. For a short term gain of selling out the Denver game, their will be a long term loss. What a slap in the face to Miami football fans. F the Gators

Cowher was indignant last Sunday about our lack of execution, and Marino looked amusingly at him. Bill Cowher will be our next Head Coach.

DevilsAdvocate,
Thanks for the info, very helpful.
Also, I tried to post what is being reported that the Dolphins have contacted Bill Cowher for the HC position but the Fins say no comment.

M. Anthony...
I read the article..... I almost feel sorry for sporano.....but after i think about my 0-6 Dolphins....all that pity disappears.....
Take tour millions sporano...and buy yourself some dignity and a pair of balls...
then go screw yourself worse than you screwd us us fans.....

It might just pan out. Unfortunately for many, Ross won't let Ireland go anywhere, as he is his closest advisor and might give him free rein with his $. Ross....I believe he is learning how to be an owner(and hopefully, restraining his as-holeness).

Great, now they're going to can the SmellVision addition to the FanVision gagdet at the stadium.

Silly Ireland. Passing on Jimmy Graham, Shockey & Olsen for the likes of a Fasano. U can't even name the other tight ends on this team.
Then the Patriots come to our House, Monday night and there Tight ends put on a clinic. How ironic!
U refused Plaxico and all BM does is drop TD's. He beat up all his girl freinds, which leads to drops.
U traded up for a fumbler who continues to fumble.
John Jerry, Murphy dude. Bust!
Marc Colombo made us the laughing stock of the league.
And u are worried about prostitutes when Vonte cant stay out the booty club.
Shame on u Ireland!

I was looking forward to SmellVision, especially the feature where the FanVision unit makes a burping noise and out comes the smell of pizza, stromboli and beer when Miami makes a field goal and Sparano gives a fist pump. Just another disappointment in a long line of disappointments this season.

Its amazing to see how fast these back-up QB's are picking up the offensive game plans.
It shows how complex the playbook is...
Smart move by Sage to give up. Colombo would have killed him, like Henne, and Moore.

LOL! I wonder if the conversation went something like this, "Doc, you have to give me an excuse for work. Otherwise, I'm gonna get killed. Those linemen can't block for $hit."

DEAD FISH WALKING for a DEAD MAN COACHING...
COWHER, COWHER, COWHER. LUCK, LUCK, LUCK.
Posted by: NY "G" | October 25, 2011 at 09:05 PM
Every Game, I get more impressed by Daniel Thomas. Last Sunday, they gave him one crack and he went for 14 yards. Then, there were no more cracks and he was bullying over people. For me, the one hopeful note of all this Season.
Posted by: oscar canosa | October 25, 2011 at 09:05 PM
You know i was watching Patten on the sideline last night and for some reason i think he can play.
He looks like he's one pissed off QB which makes me wounder if the Colts are sucking for luck on purpose as compared to the DEAD FISH WALKING by a DEAD MAN COACHIG.
Perhaps the League should take a closer look at Manning's injury. Perhaps the Fins can drop a dime on this also.
Hey, if we are going to go 0-16 I want to say it was legitimate as we suck.

Lucifer: "Stephen, it is time for you to go."
S. Ross: "Not yet. Please. I haven't finished destroying every last bit of this team yet. Can't I please have more time?"
Lucifer: "No, Stephen. What's done is done. We had a deal. Your soul is mine. Remember?"
S. Ross: "It isn't fair. I swore vengence to the end for not being crowned queen of the Miami BeachGayPride Fest. They must pay!"
Lucifer: "Give it up Stephen. If you haven't completed the task by now you're never going to make it happen. Face it. You're weak."

I'm pretty sure JP Losman won Nat'l C'ship at LSU.
What if we drafted Khalil T USC first and then took another tackle with the first pick of 2nd round.
JP Losman + Thomas + Marshall + Bess + Hartline
With dudes that can actually block.
Between the SEC, Big-10 and Big-12 there have to be someone that can f u c k i n g block.
BAM

Henne's walking. So be it. Good Luck.
We got Losman + Moore + Devlin. All of these guys can produce big if given the weapons.
Weapons: Marlon Moore, Roberto Wallace, Brian Hartline, Clyde Gates, Bess, Marshall, Thomas, Bush.

Tom Brady stands flatfooted in the pocket waiting for someone to come open - no wonder he's so good.
We need linemen that can block. If Matt Moore could stand in there and wait for someone to come open he'd be a super bowl winner also!

As soon as Stanford plays a ranked opponent Luck is going to fold like Matt Ryan.
Matt Ryan plays on a team with 12 pro bowlers and can't win a playoff game. What's up with that?
Posted by: Dingle Berries | October 25, 2011 at 10:09 PM
I'm just hoping that this team contacts me for the GM position if they bring in Bill Cowher as the head coach. Mark May is getting under my skin and I can't stand Lee Corso with his nonsense at ESPN.
Posted by: Professor Lou | October 25, 2011 at 10:10 PM
Marino couldn't win a playoff game either but at least he wasn't holding back 12 pro bowlers like Matt Ryan.

Matt Ryan has about 2 seasons to do something before the fans in Atlanta become restless. There draft strategy (going after Julio Jones in the first) was questioned by more that one person and they may have put themselves in a bit of a bind giving up so much for the chance to pick him.
Posted by: Professor Lou | October 25, 2011 at 10:16 PM
I would be happy to come to Miami as their new GM. With my years of experience in the NFL I could help rebuild this team. Remember, I drafted Mario Williams. I know it was the only good pick I had in my career but I can do it again. Just give me the chance.

Listen to me. Mario Williams was a home run. I hit that one out of the park. Does it make up for all of the bad draft picks I made over the years? Hell no! But, I know I could do it again. I've got my mojo working. Give me a call.
Posted by: Charlie Casserly | October 25, 2011 at 10:34 PM
Charlie, I always say, "A lifetime contract for a coach means if you're ahead in the third quarter and moving the ball, they can't fire you." Take it for what it's worth. Your career in the NFL can be summed up in one statement. "When all is said and done, more was said than done." Go home Charlie and watch some college football. Maybe you'll understand what the game is supposed to be all about.
Posted by: Professor Lou | October 25, 2011 at 10:40 PM
Ben Volin of The Palm Beach Post brings up some very interesting names for the new GM. Among them are some guys from the Packers. It would make sense to try and emulate a team that has a strong front office. I wonder if it could work with this dysfunctional family.
