The Dolphins are leading the New York Giants 7-3 to start the second quarter.
No, this is not April Fools. It is not a misprint.
The Fins held New York on fourth down to end its first series of the game and held again on third down to force a field goal on the second drive.
The Dolphins have a TD run by Steve Slaton.

As bad as I would like to see us get Andrew Luck. I much rather see our team play hard and lose. Than tank it out like wusses.
I would feel much better if we play as hard as we can with the little talent we have and go 0-16. Than to see the girl scout troops go ho' housing it!

It's really a completely retarded idea

Anyone saying "Suck for luck" has never played sports I'm sure
And I'm sure... that anyone not saying suck for luck hasn't been a fan of this once noble franchise since the mid 1970s.

Top college qb's:
1. Luck
2. Barkley
3. Landry
4. Russel Wilson
5. Kellen Moore
6. RGIII
Guys, we will end up with one of them. They're all upgrades over Chad Henne.

It's not that I don't want Miami to win. I've bled aqua and orange for 25 + years.
But to win you need a "franchise" QB... you get those by drafting high...
I don't get excited when a scrub like Matt Moore has a hot day. Jay Fiedler had moments too...

Marc-
No one is suggesting that the players should intentionally tank. That IS ridiculous.
This is strictly a fan-based movement. No cooperation is being requested from the team in any way.
I played football, basketball and baseball from 6th grade through high school and I would never expect a coach or player to Suck on purpose for any reason.
But as a fan, I recognize that the team will be better off if we manage to get the 1st pick in the draft so we can select the best QB prospect in 20 years.
Posted by: finsfan72 | October 30, 2011 at 02:16 PM
Don't forget Brandon Weeden on the list of QB prospects.
If I was a GM, I'd pick my guy in the first round and double down with Weeden in the second round if he's there.
So you have insurance against the first rounder busting. Or you can turn around and deal Weeden for a possible high rounder later.
I'm a genius!

Posted by: Angry Elf | October 30, 2011 at 02:17 PM
QB in both 1st and 2nd rounds. Interesting idea especially if we do not draft Luck.
Posted by: Chris in the 623 | October 30, 2011 at 02:18 PM
This is overall the best football the Dolphins have played this year! Let's see how they handle the last minute.
