Very frustrating in the first quarter for the Dolphins. They've had opportunities. And they've refused to take those opportunities.
Matt Moore has missed wide open recievers -- including Charles Clay in the end zone for a TD. Then he threw an interception returned 100 yard for a TD.
The Dolphins, trailing 7-3, have been otherwise up to the task of playing even against the Jets.
The live blog continues as the Dolphins are inside the 10-yard line to start the quarter. Join me in the comments section.

Why do we even bother watching this garbage. I seriously need my head examined. Go Bucs!!!! Have to admit I've been watching them more and more and they are a fun team, except that San Fran game.

Posted by: VENOM | October 17, 2011 at 09:53 PM
Why are we running?
Posted by: inimounts | October 17, 2011 at 09:53 PM
Guys, see that TD by Sanchez? Why the F*** don't the Dolphins ever try that?? They did in week 1 vs the Patriots and Henne actually scored. We haven't seen it once since. Why?? That's why this coaching staff sucks. They don't figure things out. Look what Jim Harbaugh is doing with Alex Smith. Is he much better than Henne? Not before this year he wasn't. Look at him now. He also has some coaches who know what the hell they're doing. Wish I could say the same for my Fins. These guys are clueless.

Posted by: new coach please | October 17, 2011 at 09:56 PM
A realization that this team
Is inept
Posted by: kmo859 | October 17, 2011 at 09:56 PM
You get the ball back with 1:12 left and you rund out the clock? Are they aware they are down 14-6?
Posted by: LC1516 | October 17, 2011 at 09:56 PM
Sparano just bent over.
Posted by: another year wasted | October 17, 2011 at 09:56 PM
This team is broken top to bottom. And now we know why Our D coordinaor is unemployable as a HC.
And one more thing--I'd like to say Tony Sparano is a pig-of-a- human LOSER...but that would be grossly unfair to pigs.
Posted by: Angry Elf | October 17, 2011 at 09:56 PM
Nuts totally nuts, time on the clock and we just give up.
Posted by: d-dense | October 17, 2011 at 09:56 PM

Posted by: yesterday's gone | October 17, 2011 at 09:56 PM
Wow TS I am cheering for your team and you act like your job isn't on the line. I'm a fan till I die but come on.
Posted by: VENOM | October 17, 2011 at 09:57 PM
armando, would you agree with this statement: ever since about, say, 1993 miami has been, except for a couple years, a mentally and physically soft team.
Posted by: cota13 | October 17, 2011 at 09:57 PM
Man we suck!
Posted by: DKM | October 17, 2011 at 09:57 PM
That was Sparano saying, "I'm gone next year anyway. Screw you guys."
Posted by: Dolphins Suck | October 17, 2011 at 09:57 PM
Where is Brian Hartline? Where is Bess? Fasano anybody? Man know i now they are throwing the game, welcome to Miami Luke.
Posted by: Anthony | October 17, 2011 at 09:57 PM
GROW A SET OF BALLS
Posted by: TONY SPARANO LOVES FIELD GOALS | October 17, 2011 at 09:57 PM
Henne sucks, g. Get over your crush on that loser.
Posted by: Angry Elf | October 17, 2011 at 09:57 PM
How do I call every single play Miami runs. If it's that easy for me, other teams are eating this up. I'm starting to HATE Miami!
Posted by: Dolphan | October 17, 2011 at 09:57 PM
How long before the defense realizes no matter how well they play in the 2nd half we can't score more than 14 points?
Posted by: Chris in the 623 | October 17, 2011 at 09:57 PM
Can sparano just resign right now. A minute to go and we just run the ball and run out the clock. We are 0-4, dominating the jets defense and just waste a posession at the end of the half. I can accept a loss, but when the team doesnt even try im sorry but thats just pathetic. I hope sparano and ireland are run out of town so we dolphin faithful can have something to hang our hat on. Who cares who's the interm coach. I say promote the peanut vendor. Cant be any worse
Posted by: Andrew Luck | October 17, 2011 at 09:58 PM
Hey Mando,
Is it still Henne's fault?
Posted by: PriceMaster | October 17, 2011 at 09:58 PM
This is the worst Monday night football game so far! And its the Dolphins playing
Posted by: DKM | October 17, 2011 at 09:58 PM
Marshall = Bust
Posted by: Mr.Bing | October 17, 2011 at 09:58 PM
Dolphins are in a very, very sad state and it really starts with the head coach. How can a team not allow a first down, gain 187 yards of offense and STILL BE LOSING the game...
LOL - no need to try to "suck for luck", we just might pull it off on our own by trying to win. Dang dolphins...how bad is our pass rush? BAD.
Posted by: mattyd | October 17, 2011 at 09:59 PM
Let's see where to start, we moved Carey, we use Reggie as a premier back. If Ross doesn't see this miserable group of coaches, he's a moron.
Posted by: d-dense | October 17, 2011 at 09:59 PM
SPARANO GETS ALL OF CONTRACT MONEY FIRED OR NOT.
SPARANO JUST CASHED IT IN GUYS! HE'LL BE GOLFING WITH PARCELLS IN JUST A FEW DAYS. hE JUST BASICALLY TOLD ROSS TO FIRE AND PAY HIM!
Posted by: yesterday's gone | October 17, 2011 at 09:59 PM
What the heck is with the RED ZONE AGAIN! Different QB, same result!
Posted by: dbmfins | October 17, 2011 at 09:59 PM
Fire this oaf at halftime!!! Over a minute on the clock, and we do not even try to drive for a FG? NO FREAKING heart. Great, let the Jets go in with momentum without even TRYING to get some points. I am done with this idiotic head coach. He has no on-field coaching skills.
Posted by: john | October 17, 2011 at 09:59 PM
Glad I'm up at 3am to watch this team quit.... Looks like Sparano wants out.
Posted by: UK fin fan | October 17, 2011 at 10:00 PM
shouldnt have gave up on me i know how to hug the sideline very well just dont tackle me and im fine!! lol
Posted by: ted sideline jr | October 17, 2011 at 10:00 PM
How pathetic a loser is Sparano for conceding at half with 1:10 left and a TO in his pocket. Same as not electing to go for it on 4th down at the 40 on the first drive of the game. He is pathetic.
Posted by: Bobby | October 17, 2011 at 10:00 PM
Should be 21-7 fins. Missed PI call that revis scored on. Missed TD catch by Marshall. Missed first down catch my Marshall. Run out of bounds by Marshall. Can't score on 2nd and 1. There's a reason were 0-4 I guess.
