SAN DIEGO -- Two teams will limp into this contest. One will limp out with a victory.
That's how it looks from this vantage point as the Dolphins and Chargers both have significant injuries that are affecting their lineups.
For the Dolphins, linebacker Koa Misi is out and Jason Taylor starts in his place. Nolan Carroll starts for Vontae Davis. Reggie Bush starts at running back and Steve Slaton is active for the game while Daniel Thomas is inactive. Slaton was claimed off waivers Wednesday and didn't arrive to the team until Thursday.
The rest of Miami's inactives are: Roberto Wallace, Ryan Cook, Tony McDaniel and Will Yeatman.
For San Diego, starting tight end Antonio Gates is out with a foot injury. He will be replaced by former Dolphins TE Randy McMichael. Starting cornerback Quentin Jammer is also out. He is replaced by Marcus Gilchrist. And defensive tackle Luis Castillo remains out as well. Strong safety Rob Sanders was placed on IR earlier this week.
There will be a live blog here today. You know there will.
I'll be in the comments section for the live blog. Join me there.

Would like to see them unleash this team instead of holding onto everything and hiding it. If we're going to be 0-4 at least show us something that makes us think twice during the bye week. Time to show your hand, jobs are at stake

Translation: I've been exposed AGAIN. Got to change my sign in name again and start asking people for a link to the game, OVER and Over again.
That routine is so old it stinks. Do the foreigner just in from out of town, that needs transportation to the stadium.
That one sucks too, but it's probably your best stick.
What a pathetic Loser!

..What up fellas??? Game Day Baby!
I made the point earlier this year(before week 1) that we wouldn't have a clear idea of who, and what sort of team we have until after week 4. Well judgement week is upon us. I'm sure most of you have a pretty clear cut idea in your heads as to what we are. I do as well. But lets see if we can finally execute in the red zone. If we can, our fortunes will start to change. Now there has been nothing this team has done in 2 seasons to think that a miracle will happen, and this team will figure out it's woes...
We are going to have to score some points. I can't see the defense holding this team to less then 24 points..This said, we are scoring challenged..Can we figure out a way to score TD's?

Posted by: DyingBreed | October 02, 2011 at 03:39 PM
..Kellen Moore is very good. Not in the same breath as Andrew Luck..Right now, this team is as bas as any in the NFL. This is a tough pill to swallow. Will we get better? Should we get better? At this point, what is the best option? Seriuosly?
Professinal pride comes into play, and the guys putting on the uniform will play hard, and continue to work. But at what point in the season does the regime"mail it in"..what good does 6-10 do if we can be 2-14? Really, what is the difference?

Come on! You guys know the Colts are sucking in order to draft Luck and get Peyton to mentor him in his last years, and you know the Fins always screw up by winning a couple games, so why not take a shot with me? I'll make sure to bring a plane full of Idaho potatoes with me.

i am a dolpins fan and have been since i have been just a kid but i am sick of sporano, henne, jason taylor leaving and coming back, field goals, celebrity owners i have had nfl sunday ticket since the first season avaiable since the dam houston oilers moved here but after 0-3 i'm canceling it. reggie bush a feature back who in the hell is calling the shots down there, no qb since 99 and marino over 50 would still be the best player on the team. the winning franchise ever has become a damn joke i'm so disscusted i could puk. and the corner back that got beat for 2 td's last week is from montana you can't tell me we can't find a damn corner back better than someone from montana.

Come on man. Judging by most of yortired, stupid old routines, it's just about time for you to make up a brand new name.
It's so sneaky and tricky when a supposedly "NEW" poster name shows up and yet he knows everything about all the posters here for the past three years.
You so TRICKY!
Do a new one, do a new ONE!

...So many of the games in the NFL come down to the last quarter, even last possession. Does this team have it in them to find away to make plays when the game is in the balance?
If we get emmbarassed today I could see this as curtains for Sparano. It may force the hand of Ross to get on his plane and fly around for awhile to find a coach..If Ross is really looked upon as a chucklehead amongst his peers. How will that affect prospective future coaches? Say you are Bill Cowher(like him, hate him..whatever) would you want to come here and work for a guy who in the industry is whispered about as clueless?
Posted by: Darryl Dunphy | October 02, 2011 at 04:02 PM
Cuban, I am not likely to ever win the Pulitzer. That's not my life goal.
My life goal is to give folks like you all the best coverage of your team possible. And whoever wins the Pulitzer this year won't be able to do that better than I would.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | October 02, 2011 at 04:03 PM
even if we were to get a shot at a qb in the draft we would pass as always. marino ain't you tired of the booth
Posted by: yohdoe | October 02, 2011 at 04:04 PM
Daniels out. Can we beat the Chargers with Henne at quarterback? He's going to have to pass a lot. I see Armando picked the Chargers!
Posted by: Ironside | October 02, 2011 at 04:04 PM
Our only chance: we must pass 50-60 times.
Go Henne!
Go Phins!
