The Dolphins are working this afternoon -- everyone except Reshad Jones, that is.
Jones, nursing a knee injury, did conditioning off to the side. Tyrone Culver is the next man up as the depth chart suggests.
Brandon Marshall (quad) and Reggie Bush (groin), both missed practice Wednesday but were back at work Thursday. It is impossible to know if Bush and Marshall were limited in practice or did everything. That will be clear when the injury report is published later today.
All the players who were limited in practice Wednesday -- Nolan Carroll, Chris Clemons, Daniel Thomas, Cameron Wake and Will Yeatman -- were all present and practicing today.

Wow, DA, I see what you're talking about. Sparano presser was just miserable. The guy is SO dejected.
Some of the jokers on here (oscar, finfaneurope) should go watch the Sparano press conference. Then come back and tell the rest of us how we should be supporting the team.
The HEAD COACH even admits (through his body language) that its over.
So why don't you jokers just come off it? FACE FACTS!!!
Posted by: DC Dolfan | October 20, 2011 at 01:32 PM
Seriously, I almost cried watching Sparano.
There was an article on nfl.com a couple of weeks ago, talking about how Coaches should react being 0-and-whatever. And the writer said to do EXACTLY OPPOSITE of what Sparano is doing. He said don't be droopy, don't look dejected, don't put your head down, have a miserable attitude, feel bad for yourself.
He had to be watching Sparano when he wrote that article. Now I see why Mando feels sorry for the guy.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | October 20, 2011 at 01:35 PM
DC, I'll actually say the down slide happened around 1995, I think thats when the Robbie family sold the team to Wayne(Be Kind Rewind)(Or I'll charge you 5 Dollars) Huizinger....
Posted by: Cuban Menace | October 20, 2011 at 01:37 PM
Is Mando YEAH?
Posted by: DC Dolfan | October 20, 2011 at 01:45 PM
this team actually practices? Hard to tell by watching the game.

Just read that the reason Jerome Harrison failed his physical is because he has a brain tumour. Fight the good fight Jerome. Godspeed.
His prognosis looks promising at least.
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | October 20, 2011 at 01:47 PM
Cuban Menace,
Robbie really wasn't such a great owner either. I would say the downslide started when the garbage man kicked Shula to the curb in favor of that pompous buffoon Johnson.
Posted by: ralph ortega | October 20, 2011 at 01:48 PM
Tony Sparano looks like he has a meeting with the grim reaper(Ross). Why should I feel sorry for someone who made 1.7 million a year for 3 or whatever years he's been working? Good riddance!
Posted by: DKM | October 20, 2011 at 01:48 PM
Agree Ralph, Just Wondering if a outbreak Of Zombies would to occur would the big three(Ireland,Sparono,Ross) Be safe???I think they would be.......
Posted by: Cuban Menace | October 20, 2011 at 01:52 PM
don't cry for sparano. He'll make 2 mil next year while sitting on a couch
Posted by: BoulderFinFan | October 20, 2011 at 01:53 PM
Tony Sparano should resign. He knows that he can't coach professional football players or bring out the best they have to offer. He is staying on as coach, as long as he can get away with it, just to be spiteful. He knows he will never coach on this level again, and that is a fact. Come on Mr. Ross, tell us you hired Bill Cowher.
Posted by: Blake | October 20, 2011 at 01:54 PM
What the hell kind of harebrained reporting is this? One minute half the team is out injured, the next it's one guy.
Posted by: Dave561 | October 20, 2011 at 01:54 PM
Boulder, I cry for YOU (having to hear all that Tebow-mania all week). Sorry bro, I'm here for you if you need me.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | October 20, 2011 at 01:55 PM
is game blacked out? I will not go to home game again
Posted by: Bo | October 20, 2011 at 01:57 PM
Also, Tebow is doing this team wrong. Here we are, like cockroaches, trying to get out of the light, hide in the dark somewhere, just got embarrassed for a SECOND time on national TV, and now, everyone will be watching our game just so they can see Tebow.
DAMN YOU NFL FANS, can't you leave us alone here in shame and misery. It's bad enough WE have to watch this mess, but we don't want our dirty laundry aired all over the television for everyone ELSE to see!!!
Blackouts might be the best thing for us.

How Sickning is it that Idiot Ross is Honoring The Gators this week-end????, This guy would sell his mother for a buck... Disgusting, Idiot Ross too must go.....

Its no Luck that we Suck...new saying
Posted by: Bo | October 20, 2011 at 02:03 PM
Cuban, I blame YOU for that. Ross lives in NY. All you have to do is follow him home one day (Giants game would be a good day, you'll know where he is) and give him one of your famous NY-searches: Cuff him, throw him up against the hood, put the fear of God into him, tell him if he says anything to the Mayor his kids will suffer...you know, what you guys did to me about 10 years ago. LOL!!!
It's in your hands Cuban. Force him to sell the team! Blackmail, just happen to find coke in his car, whatever. JUST GET HIM OUT OF THERE!

Sorry to steal your saying bro, but that is really too perfect. Love it!

Ginn Jr. was not utilized correctly as well. Why would Sporano not use him every time atleast as a PR/KR guy? Nobody can argue that he wasn't the fastest guy on the team. He had success too as a KR guy here as well when given opportunity. I believe he would've helped Marshall as well giving us a legit deep threat. Hartline is good but he isn't a deep threat. Ginn could have atleast been a good decoy at #2. I like Hartline and Bess in the slot but we need another true threat on the outside to help Marshall with double teams. Letting guys go for under their worth or for nothing is another huge mistake Ireland keeps making.

Sparano's wife was getting worried about him, he's been so depressed lately. So she decides to "spice up" his life a little after work yesterday. She dressed up in black latex and thigh-high black boots and a black whip.
When Tony got home, she was waiting for him in the kitchen. When he walked in and saw her, he started swinging.
"Honey, what's wrong," she said, stunned? "You always used to love it when I played a little rough."
Sparano rubbed is arse with his hands. "Honey, please be gentle with me. This Miami tenure has been more masochistic than I EVER wanted to experience. No more." Tony heads upstairs balling like a child.
THE END

Most of you People don't know the story of 640AM Radio, the first station you encounter on your dial. Back in the early 60's, it was all music, songs by Brenda Lee, Bobby Vinton, which I'm sure all of you remember. Then, upon the advent of a professional Football Team in in Miami, it started changing, gradually, until they reached our present state of affairs. Yes?
Posted by: oscar canosa | October 20, 2011 at 02:25 PM
...Armando. Last night on NFL Live. Mangini denied having any contact with the Dolphins, or Ross. Mangini said the last contact he had with Ross was a good luck call before the season started. He said the reports in Miami were false.
I know that you stand behind your sources, and wouldn't write anything you didn't believe was true. So what gives? Not that this is a big deal. But it was posted yesterday, and denied by one of the accused.
Posted by: Darryl Dunphy | October 20, 2011 at 02:25 PM
DD, Mangini lied to his wife about being at their wedding. I wouldn't believe anything that came out of his mouth.

OSCAR, WHO IS THE BEST PERSON THAT HAS THE BUFFET OF KNOWLEDGE BACK IN THE 20S?
Posted by: ALoco | October 20, 2011 at 02:42 PM
Ross doesn't live in New York. He keeps an office and apartment there but his primary residence is in South Florida. He also grew up in Miami---graduate of Miami Beach High School.
Not a fan of the guy, but I am a fan of facts.
Posted by: bf goodrich | October 20, 2011 at 02:43 PM
DC...I definitley believe Armando, over anything a coach says or denies on a television show. I was just hoping Armando was around so I could get his take on Mangini.
To Sundays game. This one may get ugly. How many points do you guys think will be scored between the 2 teams? Under 35 for sure, right?
I thought we had the right game plan in the first half last week. It was just the same old story about the redzone(Groundhogs Day). Perhaps the injury to Reggie Bush will limit his carries, and the Phins will use him for what he is..A reciever out of the backfield. No excuses for the lack of receptions, even targets.
Hopefully, when we do pass. The other recievers can get open. As many drops, and mistakes Marshall makes. He has been able to beat coverages. Bess was a non-factor, and Hartline is....Hartline. I wonder why the other recievers have not been incorperated into the offense? Why keep them on the roster if they will not give them a chance. Finally, it seems like once a game, they have an opportuiniy to hit Gates on a long pass. But only once per game. He has been rendered useless in this offense, and has been poor on returns. The Cleveland game he had a nice return. But he looks like he isn't comfortable back there returning kicks.

Posted by: scott from delaware | October 20, 2011 at 02:50 PM
Dear Mr. Darryl Dunphy
"Hopefully, when we do pass. The other recievers can get open"
Should read as follows
Hopefully, when we do ass, the other teams defensive backs don't get open.
Soiled :)

Oscar, why all the animosity? Can't we be friends buddy?
Posted by: DC Dolfan | October 20, 2011 at 03:03 PM
DC, Its not that we dont realize our team is sucking..we have eyes, we watch the games. But promoting a team to continue sucking is the point here..we are not hiding. see my answer to your last post..
