Stephen Ross: I have not reached out to Cowher

There have been multiple reports of undercover and backroom wheeling and dealing by owner Stephen Ross as he tries to land a new coach for the Miami Dolphins.

The latest is an NFL.com report citing an unnamed league source that states Ross has been in contact with Bill Cowher's agent about making the former Pittsburgh Steelers coach the next Dolphins coach.

The report is not true, Ross is telling The Miami Herald.

"I have not reached out to him in any way and will not so long as Tony [Sparano] is the coach," Ross said in a statement tonight. "I will not reach out to anyone so long as Tony is the coach.

"And," the short statement concludes, "I hope Tony wins and stays the coach."

I also contacted Dolphins CEO Mike Dee and he was aware of the owner's statement to me. Dee highlighted that the Dolphins are not making contact with anyone through any back channel, removing speculation team intermediaries might be working on the matter.

"As Steve has expressed in recent weeks," Dee said, "we remain fully supportive and committed to Tony and there is no discussion under way, either formal or informal, to talk to anyone."

I do have advance knowledge of this team:

Rookies (some undrafted) will start at the following positions for us next season:

QB, RT, RG, NT, OLB, FS

We dont need to sign any players that upgrade our team unless we are gonna store them for next season. It's weird watching the games hoping to lose instead of win.Its alot less stressful lmfao. If we add players that were cut from other teams to our team we may win a few games .. I would rather be 0-16 or 1-15 and have the number 1 pick and at least get a real QB then be 3-13 and have the #2 or #3 pick. Looking at our remaining 10 games i only see possible chances for wins.. Indy has j-ville twice. I know J-ville beat the Ravens.

I know exactly who's career Chad Henne's will follow from here on out: Brian Greise QB/Scapegoat

Let's face it 4-6 QBs per season are needed to be scapegoats, Henne is perfect for the role. He shows up as the strong armed stupid guy that's going to throw deep to the #1 draft pick. He himself is the dream being sold.
Kind of like a McNabb, Tavaris, Hasselback.
From now on if Henne shows up on your team it means he's going start, the team is going to suck and he will take the blame for 1-2 seasons and move on.
Not bad work if you can get it, pays $5mil per season.

Basically the average person can't POSSIBLY know enough to make informed 'buy' decisions...and that's where you guys come in.

The problem, of course, is that you are more likely to give folks investment advice that helps you and your friends rather than your clients....(because basically your Clients are STUPID.)
.

Insider Trading is alive and well....and probably always will be. Because there can't possibly be enough cops to monitor what one person says to another.
.
.
Its OK though....I'll forgive you as long as you promise to stop using the phrase "BACK DOOR"!
.
.

If you are calling for Ross to sell, give up. Also, I doubt he will make any decisions from the front office down, before seasons end. I see Ross as a kid with a new game that he is trying to figure out. He is pushing the buttons, and watching the sparks. He is not a fool;nor is he the omnipotent football mogul. He will relieve us of our current management incompetence. I assume he will make more mistakes, but I think his highest priority will be to find a GM and coach that will produce a profitable product on the field. My job is to make money for my employer and their clients; that is plain and simple. Ross will not cling to falling branches. But in respect to the profit motif, sometimes less is more.

Ross is a Idiot........(Sorry if I insulted any Idiots on here)..........

IF WE CAN'T GET lUCK BECAUSE OF DRAFT POSSITION, TAKE A LOOK AT RUSSELL WILSON. NC State has a good QB and the team seems to miss the extra-element Wilson provided. We may even be able to trade down and sill get him. I'm not really impressed with Barkley and Jones. He doesn't have the prototypical NFL physique, but he brings a Vick-like component.

CM Ross does appear to be an idiot in NFL perspectives. But he is in a learning mode. The more he screws up, the more he learns. He is not going to go away. He is not an idiot in the business world, although he makes idiotic NFL decisions. These decisions will improve as he hires people more competent to make them for him.

Thats what was said about Wayne(Be kind and Rewind)(Or I'll charge you Five Dollars) Huizinger...., Well we know how that worked out.... SIGH...

More evidence of Odins Drug problems.

WH Got the team for a dime on the dollar compared to what Ross paid for it. Ross has had to recoup alot of operational capitol that was cashed in to buy the team. That is why the first year was spent selling minor shares for big bucks to celebrities with more money than sense. He will now concentrate on the team because he now sees the problem with the way the team is not as easy to fix as just offering money to a coach with prominence.

Where the hell did I write my commentaries about the Series yesterday night?

Parcells not only deceived all us fans with his subterfuge, but Ross as well. Parcells was a saboteur. He implanted Jeffy and TonyBoy as a time bomb knowing they had no possible chance to make a real team. This has been a hit and run. Parcell has planted a time bomb and today Miami is GROUND ZERO.

Why would he want to do that, Badger?

Don't be afraid to answer me, Badger. I just woke up, and although slightly hung over, I'm in a good mood. Thinking about your conspiracy theory, it's a nice theory, more than that, it might be true, but in reverse.

Well. It is well known that the League strives for parity among the Teams. Now, why would Parcells remain only 2-3 years in most of the Teams he has been? There is a possibility that the League is using him as an Equalizer, whether he knows it or not. He DID get better personnel for Miami, but not enough. Hmm..

Tony Larussa must be a good manager. He has consistently won with different Teams, in different places.

If our f'ing tax code didn't have an f'ing inheritance tax..then joe robbie's kids wouldn't have to have sold the team when he died..that's when this team started to decline..bad ownership..just my opinion

Is our Owner that dumb???????

New Post Please...

This team has more rumors than wins tells you a lot about how the organization is run.Ross should fire Sparano now get it over with he knows the end is near and he won't resign because of money. This team is never going to get better because they have a lame duck coach
who probably isn't putting any effort into this team anymore. I would like to know who heads the scouting department for the Fins because they also need to be fired this is the worst collection of non talented players I have watched.

Still laughing my as- off!!

You feel down after a long week of work? You feel down because of the poor economy? You feel down because all our politicians are self serving criminals?

Tune in Sunday and see the Moore get creamed, Sparano fist pumping after another field goal in the red zone and an after game press conference where the engligh language is twisted into nonsense.

The comedy show called the Miami Dolpins is the best entertainment in the world. .The laughing stock of the NFL

It's hilarious!

But...

When the 2011 Comedy Show ends the story will change.

We WILL get a new coach, new GM, new QB. It really doesn't matter which one is chosen because the will all be better than what we have now. Let's not get too caught up in the words and movements during week 7. It just doesn't matter. The season will crawl along, laughing all the way. Then we cut ties with these comedians called coaches and players. Then we get to business. But util then nothing will change.

Comedy at it's best. Enjoy the laughter. It can be contageous.

What's the difference? The only consistent thing with this franchise for the last 15 years is making the wrong decision. Based on that pattern how can anyone believe the right decision will be made this time? After the Falcons lucked out and Parcells backed out of the deal he had with them the Falcons went out and hired a proven, but not big name, talent evaluator as a GM. That proven talent evaluator then hired who he thought was the best coach possible and again not a big name. The Dolphins have consistently gone after a big name and it's failed every time. Next!

My sides hurt I'm laughing so hard at these morons called coaches, GM, and players.

When the show ends this season we will move on. I will only offer this....

If we want to turn this team around we absolutely need an elite QB. We will have a top 5 pick and we should be able to find one. Regardless of who it is they will be better than what we have on the squad now.

Will they thrive with this team? That is the real question we should be thinking about.

I think the best thing to do is to immediately fire the entire coaching squad at the end of the season. Then we need to bring on an offensive minded head coach. The top QB's in the draft will want to play for a top flight head coach with an offensive background.

Then we use our top 1-5 pick in round #2 to pick up the best TE or WR available. Then we use rounds 3 - 7 to pick up new S, ILB, OLB.

Free agency should focus on OT and WR/TE.

If we follow that plan we go 500 next year. That ends the comedy show and we start to get excited about FOOTBALL again.

I'm more concerned about who the next personnel guy is going to be more than next head coach.

And Then there's this:

fins 11-5
pats 11-5
jets 7-9
bills 7-9

assuming no major injury -henne,bush,marshall,long!!!

I agree with a post above, there were several very good players that could have been signed in the offseason, but are "genius"GM passed on all of them. Now,the results speak for themselves. Embarassing time 2 be a fan.

Coalition to ban Odineye,

odinseye's posts were a lot more amusing than yours!

HEY...

To all my fellow fin fans who keep pitching the mantra "we need a young head coach, bla, bla, bla.

Please enlighten me and tell me that your kidding right?

WE do NOT need another experiment Head Coach, collage coach, etc. Exactly what has that done for us?? It F&*^%d us all up beginning with the experiment Saban, Cameron, etc. Remember those winning days??? lol

Parcells was a fluke and should had never been hired. Just take a look at the YOUNG experiment we have now.

Sparano, Ireland, Sparano's son, the POS OC Dubailand all the assts that are YOUNG and a wealth of knowledge???

We NEED a disciplined leader who knows and has a winning history to back it up. We need COWHER. Cower will restore discipline and believe me folks.. If Cowher were the HC he would have had the team READY to play against the opening with the Pats. What did the "YOUNG coaches prepare the team for?? ZERO.

They were dehydrated, hams and the list goes on not to mention the embarrassment that Cameron Wake put us through. WAKE was tossed around like a rag Doll ALL DAY against a rookie Guard.

NO PREP and we are 0-6 and by Sunday 0-7.

Gruden, Fisher fans please stop. They accomplished what???

If you want a disciplined proven winning mentality Coach there is COWHER.

I'm drooling about the potential of the record accomplishments below and WE CAN WIN WITH COWHER.

Give him 2 -3 seasons to clean up the freaking mess left behind by Parcells, Sabin, Cameron, Ireland and we will hang a SB banner or 3.

BILL COWHER aka THE JAW record below:

Super Bowl XL victory (2005)

2 AFC Championship victories (1995, 2005)

AP NFL Coach of the Year (1992)

2× Sporting News NFL Coach of the Year (1992, 2004)

149–90–1 (regular season record)

12–9 (playoff record)

161–99–1 (overall record)

In Cowher’s 15 seasons, the Steelers captured eight division titles, earned ten postseason playoff berths, played in 21 playoff games, advanced to six AFC Championship games and made two Super Bowl appearances.

He is one of only six coaches in NFL history to claim at least seven division titles.

At the conclusion of the 2005 season, the Pittsburgh Steelers had the best record of any team in the National Football League since Cowher was hired as head coach.

Now folks... If you don't like COWHER that's fine BUT you can NOT argue that COWHER IS the best choice for the Dolphin's as he has a proven record and TODAY, Mike Tomlin reps from what COWHER built with the Rooney family backing him up.

This is a no brainier.. COWHER IS the first choice. Give him the tools and guaranteed the Fins will be turned around as one of the best Teams in the NFL since Shula.

Fisher and Gruden or whoever else is out there that you want to throu in and is availiable cant hold the apron strings for Cowher as there is just no comparison whatsoever..

The numbers don't lie.

I reference to my comment "remember those winning days, Cameron won 1 game which is better record then Sparano. lol

How come everybody blames Ireland and Sporano, but not Parcells? He is the one that created this disaster, then bailed on us when the job became difficult. I think Sporano would be winning with a quarterback, similar to Pennington.

The dolphins are the only team in history that have the end zone goal line and side lines reversed. If they get close to the goal line, the stop. If they get close to the sideline, they go towards it!

COWHER IN THE RIGHT MAN, FISHER IS TO LAID BACK AND GRUDEN ONLY WON WITH ANOTHER COACHES TEAM.

U gotta give Tony credit

He finds the most imaginative ways to lose

U r what ur record says u r ;)

A few things to take into account regarding this post:

1) This statement about not contacting any potential new Coaches comes from the same Ross who said he only wanted to talk to Harbaugh whom he advised to stay in College and that Sparano was always his Coach, don`t think if NFL.Com put this out that even Sparano wouldn`t believe it.

2) If Cowher even considers the job it would be with the condition Ross fire his beloved Ireland who I believe is more important in replacing than Sparano himself. We need a GM who knows what he`s doing and Cowher just might want total control something I consider unacceptable given he never wielded it in Pitt. that was Art Rooney Jr. and his scouting dept. building those teams it`s why they never miss a beat whithout Cowher.

3)I truely believe you structure the team from the FO down like the Steelers I just mentioned. Am I the only one who finds it interesting that the team has been mediocre to terrible ever since Huzienga hired Mike Dee as team Presdent because he supposedly came with this impressive resume. I know they seperate running the team from the business aspects but you can bet Dee has input in hiring Coaches and FO personnel.

4) I happen to think the much younger and just as tough Jeff Fisher is actually the better fit if given a Franchise Q.B. He always seemed to get alot from a blue collar Tenn. team which didn`t have a whole lot of elite talent either and again he`s younger and if not for the VY fiasco between him and owner Bud Adams he probably is still in Tenn. while Cowher willingly retired and given age I think would be a 5 year plan.

5) Am not high on Gruden because he would demand total control as well and when given the opportunity in Tampa ran that team into the ground.

6) At the end of the day it`s academic who the Coach is if the Ireland situation is not addressed. Good scout who finds hidden gems but knows nothing of building ball clubs from the ground up.

Just a few thoughts !!

Still think Toxic Chemtrails over South Florida have no effect on Miami Dolphins coaches and players?

1-7 @ HOME last season

0-7 so far this season after the Giants game

U were warned

U did nothing

have a HAARPy day :(

We need to have the OWNER fired, first and foremost! I'm about to put my Dolphins gear into a box...

It all starts with an EARTHQUAKE

The United States Air Force and Navy has provided a visual insight into what caused the 9.0 magnitude off of Japan on March 11, 2011 at 05:46:23 UTC. The image above was downloaded from the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) website. It is a time-frequency spectrogram, which shows the frequency content of signals recorded by the HAARP Induction Magnetometer. This instrument, provided by the University of Tokyo, measures temporal variations in the geomagnetic field (Earth’s magnetosphere) in the ULF (ultra-low frequency) range of 0-5 Hz. Notions have been added to the image to show you what was happening the day the Japan earthquake and tsunami struck.

By looking at the accompanying HAARP spectrum chart above you can see when the 9.0 magnitude earthquake struck – red line drawn vertically – and what was happening before and after the earthquake. What you can also see is a constant ULF frequency of 2.5 Hz being recorded by the magnetometer. The ULF 2.5 Hz frequency is evidence of an induced earthquake. The chart recorded this constant before, during and after the 9.0 magnitude earthquake struck. On March 11, 2011 the 2.5 Hz ULF frequency was being emitted and recorded from 0:00 hours to about 10:00 hours – or for 10 hours. We know for a fact that the Japan earthquake lasted only a few minutes so why was the earthquake signature frequency (2.5 Hz) being recorded for 10 hours on the morning of March 11, 2011? Because a HAARP phased array antenna system was broadcasting (transmitting) the 2.5Hz ULF frequency and it triggered the Japan earthquake and ensuing tsunami.

If you go to HAARP’s official website you can see for yourself that the 2.5 Hz ULF frequency wasn’t only being broadcated for 10 hours, it was constantly being broadcasted for 2 days prior to the earthquake. Broadcasting began on March 8, 2011, just before midnight as you can see on HAARP’s website page – http://maestro.haarp.alaska.edu/cgi-bin/scmag/disp-scmag.cgi?20110308. Click on the Next Day link to see that the earthquake inducing 2.5 Hz ULF frequency was being broadcasted for the entire days of March 9, 2011 and March 10, 2011. Even though the signature frequency of an earthquake was shown throughout March 9 and March 10 there were no constant earthquakes occurring off the east coast of Japan.

What is the significance of a 2.5 Hz ULF broadcast? The natural resonance of an earthquake is 2.5 Hz. Scientists working for the United States military discovered this using the phased array antennas at the HAARP facility in Alaska. HAARP’s own charts suggests that earthquakes occurred constantly for 3 days. We know for a fact that they haven’t.

The HAARP magnetometer data provides proof that the Japan earthquake was not a naturally occurring quake – it was triggered. This data shows us that a HAARP military installation was broadcasting the known earthquake signature frequency in order to trigger a major earthquake. The broadcast was most likely being transmitted from a floating HAARP system like the floating Sea-Based X-Band Radar platform that can be moved anywhere in the Pacific or Atlantic ocean under the protection of a carrier strike group – like the USS Ronald Regan. Where was the USS Ronald Reagan on the morning of March 11, 2011? According to a Stars & Stripes March 9, 2011 repor

Is this evidence or just a bunch of nonsense attached to a baseless conspiracy theory and recklessly made public by a crackpot? The above image is of the HAARP Sea-Based X-Band Radar (SBX) platform which does exist – not a conspiracy theory. The preceding link is to the United States Navy website. What is sitting on top of the deck of the SBX is a phased array antenna – a key component of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) GMD system – clearly not a conspiracy theory.

The military vessel includes power plant, a bridge, control rooms, living quarters, storage areas and the infrastructure necessary to support the massive X-band radar. The SBX radar is the most sophisticated phased array, electro-mechanically steered X-band radar in the world – according to Boeing claims. The phased array antenna consists of thousands of antennas driven by transmit/receive modules. The radar is designed and built by Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems for Boeing, the prime contractor on the project for the United States Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Boeing, Raytheon and MDA exists – also not a conspiracy theory.

HAARP does exists. The HAARP program is no secret. Their own website states that: The HAARP program is committed to developing a world class ionospheric research facility consisting of: The Ionospheric Research Instrument (IRI), a high power transmitter facility operating in the High Frequency (HF) range. The IRI will be used to temporarily excite a limited area of the ionosphere for scientific study. Even World renowned Stanford University knows about and publishes reports on the activities at the HAARP installations – Experiments with the HAARP Ionospheric Heater – http://vlf.stanford.edu/research/experiments-haarp-ionospheric-heater. According to Stanford -

The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) facility is located in Gakona, Alaska at 62.39º N, 145.15º W, near mile 11 of the Tok Cutoff Highway. The facility houses many diagnostic instruments for studying the ionosphere, but the highlight is the HF transmitter array. This array consists of 15×12 crossed dipole antennas, which together can transmit a total of 3600kW of RF power at frequencies from 2.8 – 10 MHz (HF, high frequency range). This power is partially absorbed by the ionosphere, and though only a tiny fraction of the power it naturally receives from the sun, can still produce subtle changes that can be detected with sensitive instruments.

The VLF group focuses on using HAARP to generate ELF and VLF waves through a process called modulated heating. Such experiments have been conducted since 1999.

have a HAARPy day :(

Most false statement in here today. "Fisher is too laid back". FALSE. Fisher is one second away from having a heart attack every time he's on the sideline. Apparently you have never watched him coach a game.

Cowher wants a ready made team, he's already said so. His handlers say he will only go to a team that gives him a chance to win. Do you people actually think that team will be the 0-16 Dolphins? And you still want a coach who's already accomplished more in his short career than some coaches that have been in the game for over 30 years? Where's his incentive? What's going to drive him to be the best again? Sounds like (FROM WHAT HE IS SAYING) he's not interested in rebuilding a team so why would you think he would be a good fit here?

Fisher is the man for this job. I will argue this until I die. There are so many factors that make Jeff Fisher the perfect coach for the Miami Dolphins and it would be stupid to ignore them. If not Fisher than Reid would be my second choice. Cowher a distant third. Just say no to Chucky. Dungy is too passive, we need toughness.

Home , no one reads your garbage posts that rival an X-files episode. They are nonsense. Go put your foil back on. How did Y2K work out for you. How many batteries did you waste your money on? How long did you stay in your basement before you realized the rest of us were laughing at you? I don't know why you waste your time in here when the end of the world is near in 2012. Don't you have to work on your bunker?

So once again the media lies and manipulates to help themselves and yet Reggie Bush is a monster for doing the same. Armando time to write a story about your media brethren who constantly report false stories sending the fans into a frenzy. I mean hell, did Reggie Bush ever even say any of that stuff? How do we know right, this could be just another time the media has cried wolf. Sheesh, can't believe anything we read anymore.

What's taking so long to fire Sparano ? Why does the media have concerns if Mr. Ross contacts Cowher...What's more important...continuing to lose or talking to Cowher ? At this point who cares...Pathetic !!!!

“HAARP is a project of which the public is almost completely unaware, and this needs to be remedied.”

Toronto, Canada – [ZNN] The daily lives of people seem blissfully unaffected by events about which they know little or nothing. Daily news reports unfold with no mention as to why and how the powerful operate behind the scenes. We pay our mortgages, book our vacations and school our children, as a corporate and government elite engage in projects beyond our wildest imaginations.

Conditioned to accept that ‘all is well’ or, that we are powerless to affect change in a world dis-integrating before our eyes – we conduct our lives until one day it affects us directly – unfortunately by then it’s far too late.

Ask the people of northern Japan how they feel about the last three sentences and the answers they now seek in the aftermath of unimaginable loss and yet another future generation desecrated and ravaged by nuclear radiation.

A European Parliament document may provide a few answers for the inquiring mind. This parliamentary document is not some conspiratorial rant but an official governmental perspective describing authentic concern that a terribly grave technology, which the document calls a weapon, has been unleashed over many years without any public knowledge.

The technology is called HAARP and the European Parliament has put NATO, the US Air Force and Navy on notice, demanding an explanation about their involvement.

One of the most damning statements in the document reveals an American refusal to account for itself regarding HAARP research:

“[The European Parliament]… regrets the repeated refusal of the United States Administration to send anyone in person to give evidence to the public hearing or any subsequent meeting held by its competent committee into the environmental and public risks connected with the high Frequency Active Auroral Research Project (HAARP) programme currently being funded in Alaska.”

Caveat – For those among you who feel all is ‘right and true’ with the world and everything you need to know about is in newspapers, or, that those in power have our best interests at heart – you’ve probably read enough by now. There is almost certainly a soap opera or celebrity awards program on TV that you are missing. Or, perhaps you simply do not want to be confused by the facts… You are excused.

However, for those among you who have an inquiring mind or the patience and concern to read about such furtive things as the demise of civilization and geo-political ethics, the document below is very instructive if not despotically frightening.

The document outlines why the strange frequency of bizarre global weather and geo-tectonic disasters appear to be on the rise and why NATO, the US Air Force and US Navy have been held accountable for their knowledge and shrouded use of HAARP technology.

High Frequency Active Auroral Research (HAARP) has been deliberated upon by world governments – but none of them – including the Canadian government have commented on what it is, what it does or how it affects life on the planet.

HAARP may well be the most silent and deadly weapon of all time – primarily because it is invisible to the naked eye and thus, its existence can be denied by government and readily dismissed by media. Those in the forefront of probing and exposing this kind of government behaviour have issued warnings about HAARP for many years. Few pay any heed. The question remains – will anyone listen now?

The European Parliament document

“The European Parliament:

- having regard to the hearing on HAARP and Non-lethal Weapons held by the Foreign Affairs Subcommitee on Security and Disarmament in Brussels on 5 February 1998,”

and

“T. whereas, despite the existing conventions, military research is ongoing on environmental manipulation as a weapon, as demonstrated for example by the Alaska-based HAARP system,”

and

“Legal aspects of military activities -

26. Calls on the European Union to seek to have the new ‘non-lethal’ weapons technology and the development of new arms strategies also covered and regulated by international conventions;

27. Considers HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Project) by virtue of its far-reaching impact on the environment to be a global concern and calls for its legal, ecological and ethical implications to be examined by an international independent body before any further research and testing; regrets the repeated refusal of the United States Administration to send anyone in person to give evidence to the public hearing or any subsequent meeting held by its competent committee into the environmental and public risks connected with the high Frequency Active Auroral Research Project (HAARP) programme currently being funded in Alaska;

28. Requests the Scientific and Technological Options Assessment (STOA) Panel to agree to examine the scientific and technical evidence provided in all existing research findings on HAARP to assess the exact nature and degree of risk that HAARP poses both to the local and global environment and to public health generally;

29. Calls on the Commission, in collaboration with the governments of Sweden, Finland, Norway and the Russian Federation, to examine the environmental and public health implications of the HAARP programme for Arctic Europe and to report back to Parliament with its findings;”

and

“HAARP – a weapons system which disrupts the climate

On 5 February 1998 Parliament’s Subcommittee on Security and Disarmament held a hearing the subject of which included HAARP. NATO and the US had been invited to send representatives, but chose not to do so. The Committee regrets the failure of the USA to send a representative to answer questions, or to use the opportunity to comment on the material submitted.(21)

HAARP (High Frequency Active Auroral Research Project) is run jointly by the US Air Force and Navy, in conjunction with the Geophysical Institute of the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Similar experiments are also being conducted in Norway, probably in the Antarctic, as well as in the former Soviet Union.(22) HAARP is a research project using a ground based apparatus, an array of antennae each powered by its own transmitter, to heat up portions of ionosphere with powerful radio beams.(23) The energy generated heats up parts of the ionosphere; this results in holes in the ionosphere and produces artificial ‘lenses’.

HAARP can be used for many purposes. Enormous quantities of energy can be controlled by manipulating the electrical characteristics of the atmosphere. If used as a military weapon this can have a devastating impact on an enemy. HAARP can deliver millions of times more energy to a given area than any other conventional transmitter. The energy can also be aimed at a moving target which should constitute a potential anti-missile system.

The project would also allow better communications with submarines and manipulation of global weather patterns, but it is also possible to do the reverse, to disrupt communications. By manipulating the ionosphere one could block global communications while transmitting one’s own. Another application is earth-penetrating, tomography, x-raying the earth several kilometres deep, to detect oil and gas fields, or underground military facilities. Over-the-horizon radar is another application, looking round the curvature of the earth for in-coming objects.

From the 1950s the USA conducted explosions of nuclear material in the Van Allen Belts(24) to investigate the effect of the electro-magnetic pulse generated by nuclear weapon explosions at these heights on radio communications and the operation of radar. This created new magnetic radiation belts which covered nearly the whole earth. The electrons travelled along magnetic lines of force and created an artificial Aurora Borealis above the North Pole. These military tests are liable to disrupt the Van Allen belt for a long period. The earth’s magnetic field could be disrupted over large areas, which would obstruct radio communications. According to US scientists it could take hundreds of years for the Van Allen belt to return to normal. HAARP could result in changes in weather patterns. It could also influence whole ecosystems, especially in the sensitive Antarctic regions.

Another damaging consequence of HAARP is the occurrence of holes in the ionosphere caused by the powerful radio beams. The ionosphere protects us from incoming cosmic radiation. The hope is that the holes will fill again, but our experience of change in the ozone layer points in the other direction. This means substantial holes in the ionosphere that protects us.

With its far-reaching impact on the environment HAARP is a matter of global concern and we have to ask whether its advantages really outweigh the risks. The environmental impact and the ethical aspect must be closely examined before any further research and testing takes place. HAARP is a project of which the public is almost completely unaware, and this needs to be remedied.

HAARP has links with 50 years of intensive space research for military purposes, including the Star Wars project, to control the upper atmosphere and communications. This kind of research has to be regarded as a serious threat to the environment, with an incalculable impact on human life. Even now nobody knows what impact HAARP may have. We have to beat down the wall of secrecy around military research, and set up the right to openness and democratic scrutiny of military research projects, and parliamentary control.

A series of international treaties and conventions (the Convention on the prohibition of military or any other hostile use of environmental modification techniques, the Antarctic Treaty, the Treaty on principles governing the activities of states in the exploration and use of outer space including the moon and other celestial bodies, and the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea) casts considerable doubt on HAARP on legal as well as humanitarian and political grounds. The Antarctic Treaty lays down that the Antarctic may be used exclusively for peaceful purposes.(25) This would mean that HAARP is a breach of international law. All the implications of the new weapons systems should be examined by independent international bodies. Further international agreements should be sought to protect the environment from unnecessary destruction in war.”

Although there seems to be no official or current governmental and scientific confirmation of the effects of HAARP technologies in your local newspaper or on the 11:00 o’clock news – the people of Japan might want an update.

have a HAARPy day :(

It wasn't our HAARP. But China's.

HAARP created & steered a pre Halloween October Snow Blizzard hitting the NE USA as we speak

have a HAARPy day :(

Ho hummm. As a Dolphin fan, I find it difficult to believe anything said or printed. Who really knows whats going on behind the scene? The topic of the day has to be the(so far) 0-6 season. Does anyone really care if a lacky in the NFL higher circle is mad a Ross for calling someone in regards to a head oaching job, while the "fist pumper" is still employed? I dont,,,do you? I will watch some, some of the NYG vs Mullet game for comic relief if nothing else. I would find a Dolphin victory against the NYG as rare as a Tewbow completion. Come on, that was a little funny.

A significant HAARP created & steered October snowstorm will plow through the Northeast USA Saturday through early Sunday morning effecting over 60 million dumbed downed oblivious American slaves.

have a HAARPy day :(

Dallas cut Tashard Choice today....

How long before he is a Dolphin?

What a sorry owner. The worst ONE ever.

Can't wait to watch the Okie St. vs Baylor game today. It will be interesting to see if RG III can shred the swiss cheese Okie St. defense. I love watching this guy play. He's an awesome talent.

In NFL history.

Tony Sparano....the Jerry Faust of NFL football.

I'm with my Dolphins for good or bad. You should be supportive. It's not our time. Period. There will be other people who can run the business. You all suck when you favor "SUCK FOR LUCK" . Indianapolis Colts have made a point when you shoudn't rely on one player and the Pittsburgh Steelers can win without Roethlisberger. So A.Luck is the same thing.

It's not our time. Hey Rumple Stiltskin, it's not been our time for nearly 30 years and we're getting tired of it. If you think people who have the "suck for Luck" mentality suck then you have not suffered long enough. I'm not for losing on purpose but this team getting the first pick in the upcoming draft is the "prize" that us Dolphin fans deserve for all of the years of misery we have suffered through. So, you may disagree with that but I can understand how so many disgruntled Miami fans can want the team to continue to lose to claim the "prize."

Teshard choice was just cut by dallas. How long until we pick him up? Another dallas reject couldn't hurt our andrew luck chances. More meat for the grinder!

RG3 will out play Wilson any day of the week. I hope he destroys Oklahoma St. And I wish he was a Miami Dolphin.
