Sparano house is for sale but he's not quitting

Coach Tony Sparano has a perfectly plausible explanation for putting his Davie, Fl. home on the real estate market.

"We're empty nesters," he said of he and his wife Jeanette. "When we moved into the house we had seven people living there. No it's only us two."

Understandable since his daughter Ryan Leigh, the youngest of the clan, moved away to college.

Sparano also says he and his wife love the water so, they're "moving to the beach."

But ...

Obviously the fact his home was put up for sale early this year, taken off the market, and then recently put back on the market suggests something deeper and more obvious than a desire to get closer to the water.

Tony Sparano isn't dumb. He knows his days as the Dolphins head coach are numbered. He's moving all right. He knows it. We know it.

It is starting to show more often. Remember his words to the game official during the overtime meeting with the Broncos on Sunday? A local CBS4 cameraman captured Sparano telling the game official he needed a replay on a touchdown and that if he didn't get one or an overturn of the call, "I'm getting fired."

So the writing is on the wall. Sparano has read it. And all that awaits is apparently when, not if, the shoe will drop.

Sad in many respects.

There has got to be another way. And there is. Look, Sparano has an agent. His name is Jimmy Sexton. He was at Sunday's game against Denver. He should be on the phone with the Dolphins, like, yesterday, trying to negotiate a buy-out for coach.

The fact is Sparano cannot quit because he would forfeit his salary due in 2012 and 2013 -- an estimated $4 million-plus. The truth is the Dolphins are going to be on the hook for that money regardless once owner Stephen Ross fires the coach -- be it during or after the season.

Why not try to negotiate an end to the charade and the embarrassment of a proud coach by doing a buy-out now? Why don't the Dolphins agree to pay most or all of Sparano's salary in exchange for the coach agreeing to step aside?

It would give Sparano a reprieve from the daily reports of which coach is next and when he's coming. It would give the Dolphins a chance to turn the page to someone and something new.

It probably will not happen. I know Sparano and he sees this idea as quitting. And he has no intention of quitting on his team. He has no intention of quitting on those he calls his "kids."

So into the next few weeks we will go -- no matter how painful they get.

How about Mike Shula? He's done a terrific job with Cam Newton in Carolina with a crappy OL. Their OC is a future HC also. They will be inclined to stay to oversee Newton's development but with enough $$$ on the table and the possibility to coach Luck who knows. Plus bringing Shula in will be a huge PR boost for this franchise.

Yeah, let's go after the son of the genius that couldn't win a SuperBowl with the services of one Dan Marino. Marino was done a disservice by that man by not having a running game and a defense. Shula rode on the backs of great players like Marino most of his career. If you think back to the period between the Csonkas and Marinos you'll recall the period where he SUCKED as a head coach that nobody seems to remember.
Shula got lucky when he picked Marino in the first round. Plain and simple. He had no idea Marino was going to be as good as he was. If he hadn't picked Marino his career would have ended long before it did. He was 2-4 in Super Bowls and 17-14 in the playoffs (including SB's).
Think about these seasons:

'86 8-8
'87 8-7
'88 6-10
'89 8-8
'90 8-8

That's not a good stretch, especially when your starting quarterback was Dan Marino. How is it that your team goes thru a stretch like that with Marino as the quarterback. Because you're an OVERRATED BACK OF $HIT! THAT'S HOW!
And, you can't tell me that you thought this team had a chance to beat either Washington or San Francisco in the Super Bowl. They got smoked! Never had a chance. Why? Because of Donny Windbag.
Face it. If you're a Dolphins fan you've had your testacles smacked around and beat against the side of a tree long enough. Dolphins fans deserve more than another 8-8 or 9-7 season.

ARMANDO, THE LAST POST HAS MOVED YOU FROM DONKY BRIGAE TO FULL FLEDGE GANG OF DEFEAT., OF COURSE THE PIZZA MAKER WANTS TO SELL HOUSE, HE'LL BEW BACK IN CONNITCUT IN FEBURARARY, ALONG WITH THE GARAGE MACHACIACH NOLAN, I ALSO SEA THAT YOUR TRYING TO SELL CHINA MAN COWER TO THE DONKYS ON HERE. SHOULDNT BE THAT HARD TO CONVINCE A GROUP OF HIGH SCHOOL DROP OUTS TO SEE YOUR WAY.

Diabetes?

I'm off to see the Wizard to see if he can help me find a new head coach and general manager for my team. I have no courage, heart or brain and I'm hoping he can help me with that also. Otherwise, I haven't got a clue as to what I should do with this team.

Miami Dolphin Fan Instruction Manual

One: Tape testacles to car front bumper.

Two: Drive car into wall, crushing testacles.

Three: Repeat until end of season.

WANTED

NEW HEAD COACH

Head coach needs to have a strong jaw, spit while he talks and speak like his tongue is too big for his mouth.
If you possess these attributes, the job is yours.

I really like TS first year. I started to question his abilities in the second year. This year it is painfully obvious that he doesn't care or he is in over his head.
His agent should be fired. While TS still had value as a coach his agent allowed him to sign as a Dolphin head coach. The ship was sinking and his boss took away the life jackets last year. It is not a team, it is a business in Ross's eyes. And Tony should be old and wise enough to see it that way. Loyalty is a 2 way street.
Ireland should have his donkey's butt kicked out of Miami before Tony's because Ireland is in charge of getting winners into the business and has failed 9 out of 10 times. Colombo is so bad that any good players that Ireland has brought to Miami have looked bad because of a lot of his picks/signing/acorns.
New definition of acorn. A position filled on the Miami Dolphins where the GM is too stupid/incompetent to fill with a proven player.

ALL WE NEED IS SOME MORE PLAYERS THAT CAN'T MAKE THE COWBOYS TEAM

Craig M.

Just for you, pertinent to yesterdays discussion where you said you never heard any players step up and say they miss Crowders smarts (which I found odd anyway since it was widely posted in the Herald and SS at the time he was cut) - from todays Herald:

"Crowder, who was replaced on the roster by Kevin Burnett, still has support inside the Dolphins locker room. Several players said he is missed because of his ability to stop the run, communication skills and knack for anticipating plays."

It's difficult to assess the talent on this team. Guys like Colombo stand out in a crowd but the whole team isn't playing well this year. There is NOBODY that has stood out in the crowd that you point to and say, "at least he's playing to his potential."

instead of players being upset about tim tebow day, how bout going out and making a statement by winning BIG??????? these so called "players" need to grow a set.

finkle

Burnett had one good season in his entire career. He, just like Crowder, has a long history of being injury prone. It was wishful thinking paired with blindness on the FO, just like with Grove and Smiley, they went out and invested in injury prone players that soon got injured. Gee, what a surprise.

I can accept mistakes, they get made. But when you keep repeating the same mistakes over and over, you end up with what we got.

diick knows, the Dolphins were 12-4 in 1990.

note to ross: please sell the team at a loss(not worth much). in the interim you need to replace all the teams doctors and talent evaluators/scouts.

KRIS:

I TOOK YOUR ADVICE AND LOOKED SOME THINGS UP AND NOW I WOULD REPEAT THEM LIKE YOU DID.

SINCE 1976 THE BUCS HAD TWO WINNING SEASONS
1979
1981

TONY DUNGY TOOK OVER IN 1996 AND THAT WAS HIS ONLY LOSING RECORD.

THEY MADE THE PLAYOFFS IN
97. 99. 00. 01.

HE GET'S FIRED AFTER MAKING THE PLAYOFFS AND GRUDEN CAME IN AND WINS THE SUPERBOWL WITH THE SAME TEAM DUNGY PUT TOGETHER.

BUT WAIT.

I ALREADY KNOW WHERE YOU MIGHT TAKE IT SO I WILL BEAT YOU TO THE PUNCH.

AFTER HE WON THE SUPER BOWL GRUDEN WENT
7-9 5-11 11-5 4-12 9-7 9-7 3-13.
I GUESS HE WASN'T SO SUPER.

WOW DOING IT YOUR WAY MAKES ME FEEL THAT MUCH SMARTER.

THANX KRIS I CAN'T STOP I'M GOING TO LOOK UP MORE STUFF AFTER I GET OFF WORK.

WHY REMEMBER THINGS IF THE COMPUTER CAN REMEMBER THINGS FOR ME.

I ASSUME THAT'S WHAT KRIS IS SAYING.

DUMBER IS SMARTER.

I BET YOU ALL HAVE SPELL CHECK TOO.

WOW.

DO YOU REMEMBER YOU'RE PARENTS AND KIDS NUMBERS OR DO YOU HAVE TO GO TO CONTACTS.

KRIS:

I'M SORRY BABY YOU'RE SO BENETH ME IT'S A SHAME.

LOOK LITTLE LADY.

I DON'T NEED SUPPORT FROM PEOPLE UP HERE LIKE YOU DO I STAND ON MY ON TWO FEET.

NOR DO I HAVE TO TRY TO CALL PEOPLE NAMES TO TRY TO GET A POINT ACROSS.

BUT IF THAT'S WHAT YOU NEED.

Just incase anyone missed this part of Dolphins Notebook by Barry Jackson, here it is.

SPARANO DEFENDS CALL

Two days after several players said coaches used the wrong personnel on Tim Tebow’s two-point conversion Sunday, Sparano insisted the right players were in the game.

“One hundred percent agree with the call,” Sparano said. “They were in 11 personnel, which is three wide receivers and a tight end. Then they shifted the formation and put the back out there, too. There’s no back in the backfield, three skill players and a skilled tight end who just caught one down the middle of the field on us. We matched up properly and had numbers at the point of attack.”

This is the reason Sparano IS A BAD COACH! Anyone defending Sparano (MANDO) please pay attention!

Sparano is a numbers guy. THAT'S IT! HE HAS NO INTUITION! NO GUTS! NO SENSE OF WHAT THE OTHER TEAM MAY TRICK HIM INTO! Defending a call that didn't work two weeks in a row? Really? This clearly shows why he is overmatched.
But, he will make a great statistician in his next job.

We have a beautiful house up for sale in an elegant area of Davie. Open house is between 9:00 am to 7:00 pm We would like to invite all to come and see this spacious mansion where all the magic happens the bad coaching where the first fist pump took place. If you act quickly we will personally throw in a franchise QB Luck,
Jones, Griffith, and Foles. So stop by and we will throw in an autograph Bill Parcells aka Big Tuna photo.

My god, I did not know he tried to defend that call.

complete idiot to have that D on the field.

I can accept mistakes, they get made. But when you keep repeating the same mistakes over and over, you end up with what we got.

Anyone who wants to know my view of this WHOLE EFFING CHARADE, see above!

Do you guys remember a couple of years ago when he tried to call a TO on a change of possession and his LB had to grab home to stop him???

All the players said, they were in the wrong defense end of story. He still makes millions after getting fired for not doing a good job. I get fired with no compensation if I do a lousy job.Why in the hell should anyone feel sorry for him.

Poizen,

That's the history of Sparano. First, hats off to DA for actually being able to translate from mob-speak to English.

Secondly, Sparano defends his players to the media, to the point of being a complete joke (i.e. "Reshad Jones has done some good things this year," or "I'm sure Matt (Moore) would like some of those throws back, but overall I think he did a good job there today."). But if you listen close, Sparano ALWAYS defends his Coaches more. If you believe Sparano, NO COACH in the last 4 years ever did ANYTHING wrong. NEVER! Every call, practice, all right. Always.

If they were in the right defense, then WHY THE H*LL did Tebow look like Moses parting the Red Sea? Why did the closest defender have his BACK TO TEBOW? And how did it even GET TO THAT? No mention of the 2pt DOLPHINS failed conversion, which was a bigger blunder.

I've said it, but I'll say it again, Sparano deserves no love, no pity, he only deserves scorn and derision.

The 2 point thing was such a joke that my WIFE was screaming at the TV while they were setting up.

I mean, if we were going to lose that game, we had to make Tebow pass on us for EVERYTHING.

My wife screamed where is that Fat Somoan dude!

F'n disaster.

Robert, some feel sorry for Sparano for what I call the Feminization of the American Male. Years and years of men in this country turning into women. Everything manly has been watered down. We're now supposed to help with household chores, we're supposed to be romantic, we're supposed to compromise, we're supposed to communicate more and be more sensitive.

All these celebrities and magazines, men are being brain-washed. Look at politics. I don't care what side of the aisle you're on. The WOMEN are the ones with the balls. The men are just whiny b*tches.

Football was supposed to be the last domain for men to be men. They're even changing that. In order to attract more women, football needs to be less violent. The hits are way too hard they say. It's dangerous they say. SO WHAT, IT'S FOOTBALL!!

Anyway, that's why you hear people caring about Sparano's feelings. Or his family. Anyone EVER HEAR about Lombardi's family? Did he even HAVE a family?

Sometimes, I think I was born a few decades too late. You guys better watch out. Pretty soon they'll want to replace the suit with a tutu. I suggest we fight back to keep the last vestiges of manhood in the country, before they take those too.

The fat Somoan dude, lol!

Sparano is the head man, it is his JOB to defend his players and his assistants. He already gets most of the blame from everyone but imagine how quickly he would lose the support of his players and assistants if every time he spoke he told it like it really was..."I knew Tebow was gonna run it but dic--ead Nolan called the wrong defense"...."We would win a few games if Ireland would go get me a QB instead of the piece of $#!^ rejects he keeps bringing in"...so on and so force....he may suck as a coach but he handles the press like a leader....

JUSTIN INCREDIBLE....

STOP IT MAN....JUST STOP IT.....

tHE Orginal post you made was that DUNGY was more importanr than PEYTON....

The FACT that you think we are arguing about DUNGY VS. GRUDEN....lol....

I can't stop laughing.....

Not only are you on the wrong street....your not even in the right STATE (of mind)....

Oh Lord....it takes all kinds....

I will trade places with sparano in a second. He's 3 months away from retirement and cash for life. Enough for a lavish lifestyle including a big house, fine cars, designer clothes, and probably a nice little mistress on the side to spice life up. Yeah, poor tony.

Tony needs no support....he needs to go, but the entire team structure needs blown up right down to the waterboys....

All I can say to Tony is Shut that BS up! Ross must of told him your getting canned after the season and he decided to put his house up for sale.

Anyone who feels sorry for him oh please dude made enough money doing nothing. 4 million dollars! Me and my wife combined income is $85,000 for a year.

Egreen, disagree. I've seen all kinds of Head Coaches, and Sparano is by far the biggest B*LLSH*TER of them all. I understand you need to defend your people. But there's no REASON to deny the obvious. It was OBVIOUS Henning's offense was boring and slow and impotent. Yet Sparano acts as if it's 1-2 plays away from being like Green Bay's. PLEASE!

It was OBVIOUS they should have kicked the extra point after the TD Sunday. All Sparano had to say was, "look, we took a chance. The way the Season has been going, we can't sit on a lead, no matter how big. So I just wanted to extend it some and give us a little more distance from them." FINE! I would have said, "Cool. He tried, didn't work out, can't blame him for not trusting his defense could hold 'em."

But NO! He sticks with his cockamamie story about in that position the chart says go for it and everyone would have gone for it and blah blah. COMPLETE B*LLSH*T!

Not only is it blatant crap, but it makes him sound LIKE AN IDIOT! And HC's should sound like idiots. I hear Shanahan all the time, doesn't say ANYTHING to the press, yet always sounds like he's in control and has a plan and knows the deal. Same with Belichick. Heck, same with Rex Ryan.

Problem with Sparano is he spends so much time trying to be evasive with the press, he's obviously not using his time wisely to construct a WINNING GAME PLAN!!! He'd do better to tell the press everything, and then run back and figure out how to WIN A GAME!

Anyway, no need to get the blood pressure up. This is a short-term problem. In 10 short weeks, this nightmare will be all over, and Sparano will be back whacking kneecaps or holding court at the social club or whatever it is he does when he's not ruining a football team.

DC 10 weeks is a long time my friend. This nightmare is just begining it's only going to get worse.

For all of sparanos mistakes, I can't blame him for going for 2. It was the right call. The actual play call they chose hasn't worked once this season though.

A 2 point conversion puts the game out of reach. It was the 4th quarter. Right decision, no doubt.

I am gonna lay off of JUSTIN INCREDIBLE...I swear I am....but I just have to post one more of HIS post....when I read the below post...all I think of is that Dave Chappele skit...."Cocaine is a HELL of a drug"...

KRIS:

I swear thats why I keep comming here....You can't buy this kind of entertainment....

The only thing missing is...."I'm RICK JAMES bi@ch"......

Mark, I actually disagree. Normally, I don't have a problem with aggressive play-calling. On any other team, I would have said yes, go for 2. But this was against Tim Tebow. He wasn't throwing more than 5 yards. AND, we were winning the field position battle.

You got Matt Moore, an offense with more drops than a Visine factory, with the worst red zone efficiency in the league.

Does that give you confidence we were making a 2pt conversion?

Actually, I was stunned we scored a TD (so were the players, go back and see their reactions). It hadn't happened in so long no one was sure what to do.

I would have kicked the extra point, that made it 13-0, and keep playing like you were. Defense was playing ok, so keep doing what you were doing.

If Henne were in there, then maybe I would have agreed with the 2pt, but with Moore, and COLOMBO, too risky. Bad, bad decision by Sparano IMHO.

Also Mark, Sparano is so half-*ssed with everything he does. IF you are willing to take chances (like the 2pt), then take EVERY chance. Who cares? You're 0-5 (at that point). Go for every short 4th-down. Throw downfield. Take all the shots you can.

But that's not Tony. He's the guy who's on a hill, no other cars in front of him, but rides the brakes because he's going 5 miles over the speed limit. The guy is so d*mned conservative, he doesn't know HOW TO open it up and take chances. That's why they rarely work.

logic says take the sure point, not go for 2. with the later 16-0 lead the opponent has to get 2 TD's and convert both 2 pt conversions just to tie. no other coach in the NFL goes for 2 in that situation.

Hey, Stephen Ross...while you're in OZ, see if you can pick up an HC with a BRAIN, a defense with some HEART, and some COURAGE for any poor bass turd that has to step in under center.

And remember, there's no place like home...except that we haven't won there in almost a year.

Sparano is a good man but usually those types don't make good coaches. This year he became to passive. Football players only respond to force and yelling.

sparano is hard-headed and has a hard time telling the truth to the media. if he really knew tebow was going to run it,why weren't his "big bodies"(soliai, starks, langford) on the field??????????? and why was he in the "nickel"? media should be asking those questions.

Going for 2 was a moot point anyway. Anyone here have any doubt that Denver would've made the 2 2 point coverts anyway? That's not why they lost. They lost because they have a losers mentality.

It was the right call based on when you are supposed to go for it. Imagine they didn't go for it and Miami doesn't score a later field goal?

2 touchdowns would've won it in regulation. I would've done the same but would've called a different play. This team hasn't converted a fade pass in a generation.

If Miami doesn't go for 2 loses 14 13 in regulation then we crucify sparano for not going for it. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

I wouldn't mind having an agent show me around Tony Sparano's house.

AGENT: "Here is the film-room that the seller uses to break down tape of opponents like Tom Brady and Tim Tebow"

ME: "The room looks unusued"

AGENT: " "Come to think of it, you are right."

AGENT: "Here is the table where the previous owner and his colleagues signed Jake Grove, Benny Sapp, Pat White, Patrick Turner and Marc Columbo to a long-term deal."

ME: "Can I get this table burned and the room fumigated?"

AGENT: "Of course."

AGENT: "You will find this room cute -- the seller decorated this room in the colours of team."

ME: "Those are Dallas Cowboy colours."

AGENT: "Oh yeah."

ME: "Agent -- I have a final question -- what's with all the framed pictures of Dan Carpenter Field Goals."

AGENT: "I'm not sure, must be a fetish."

AGENT: "Finally -- you're going to love the house-wide soundsystem. As a previewe we have looped audio from all of the current seller's press conferences..."

ME: "AHHHHH...make it stop! The House is haunted...make it stop!"

I would've done the same but would've called a different play. This team hasn't converted a fade pass in a generation.

If Miami doesn't go for 2 loses 14 13 in regulation then we crucify sparano for not going for it. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.

Mark....well said....

Channing Crowder should be our next head coach. I'm dead serious. I guarantee you we'd go 12-4 NEXT YEAR (forget long rebuilding project) if Channing were the head coach. I guarantee it.

DC....

Your arguments are well constructed...as always...

But it was lose/lose/lose for Sporano....and it will be for the rest of the season....

WHY....

Lose 1. if he kicked the extra point and Denver came back to win 14-13 everone would have said he should have gone for 2....

Lose 2. If Sporano goes for 2....and doesn't make it (high probability).....and Denver comes back and wins...and thats what happened....

Lose 3. Sporano goes for 2...makes it and wins the game....Fans are even more pissed than a loss because they have moved 1 step further from the #1 draft pick....

Sporano can't WIN....not under these conditions...or any other number of scenarious we could come up with....

How is this sad again? Nice guy? I'll take your word for it. Smart guy? Sure, I guess. But he's not a good head coach. The No. 1 job of a head coach: Have your team ready to play. He fails at that consistently, on both a conditioning and a strategic level. Good riddance.

The article today about Crowder's latest comments is interesting. Why does it seem that everyone on the outside who cares about the Dolphins can see the problems yet the people on the inside with the power to do something about them cannot?

Who cares about the 2 pt conversion? Can we discuss something else?

For goodness sake the word is 'LOSER' not 'LOOSER'....umless you have a screw loose.

Sorry,meant to say 'unless' duh!!!!

Mark, you said it, damned if he does, damned if he doesn't, and that's why his *ss needs to get the h*ll out of Dodge.

You are what your record says you are:

....and Sparano currently has the longest losing streak in the NFL.

I'm torn...does Ross remove Tony and replace him with an interim coach who may ignite some fire and win 4-3 games.

...then we LOSE the LUCK Sweepstakes and have to settle for Landry, or maybe Griffin from Baylor who seems raw but has great mobility.

Question is: how important is it to win the Luck sweepstakes?

kris, that's why bobbyd12 thinks it's worse keeping Sparano hanging in the wind.

Us fans won't like ANYTHING he does at this point. Just too far gone. His face, his voice, his entire being grates on us.

He just needs to go. Put Dorrell or the Asst. Coach in there and the tension will instantly go down (whether we win or lose). Sparano has lost the situation and now it's spiraling out of control. Get rid of this guy (before something bad happens to him walking home from the facility one day).

Chris623, Those on the inside see the issues, don't kid yourself. The difference is they are still getting PAID!!! DC, the only point I was trying to make is that a leader protects his people and takes the blame is all. In no way am I supporting Sporano or anyone in the organization. But 10 weeks is a long time as was stated and it will take a lot of malox to prevent the ulcers that can occur under stress, which all of us fans feel watching this team. They flat out suck and I believe have given up despite their protests....I have no passion for the NFL this year at all. Thank god for the NHL

NH, I get rid of Tony. He's a cancer at this point. And this team isn't going to miraculously start winning. Like you said, this losing goes back to last Season. They're losing because they have Matt Moore and Colombo and no pressure on the defense and Tyrone Culver as Safety. None of that changes if Sparano leaves, and these guys don't suddenly become ProBowlers.

Unlike others, I believe there's little to no talent here, so replacing the HC will do little to end the losing IMO.

I hope nobody buys this house. I hope this salary-stealing son of a ***** loses millions. Screw him.

If we put all our money together, every single person on this blog. We prob could buy 0.5 percent of the Dolphins and demand Ross fire Sparano as being minority owners. Whos with me?

Devil,

Thanks for the post about Crowder. I'm sure he was a popular teammate, outspoken and good for keep the mood light. But wasn't our original argument that Dansby came out and said great things about him? I'm not disputing it, I'm just saying I've never seen those comments directly from Dansby. Dansby and the defence are having a lousy year but I feel perfectly comfortable having Dansby in charge of the defence, despite the screw ups and misplays this year. The truth of the matter is Crowder had become a liability and had outlived his usefulness. I still don't consider Burnett a downgrade. I think it's too easy to say when everyone is playing poorly and out of position and not doing their jobs to say he's a downgrade. He's probably trying to do too much out there right now and looks all the worse for doing it. There is NOBODY on the defence who is playing well right now, so it's kind of hard to judge a guy who's been with the team for 3 months on whether he's any better or worse than Crowder. As I said yesterday I KNOW what Crowder had to offer and I'm happy to see someone else in there.

Incidentally, I thought it was interesting to read Crowder say the team quit on Cameron back in 2007 but they won't quit on Sparano. If you remember yesterday, you said you thought the team in 2007 played with more heart than the team this year. I think you need to look back at 2007's team. They were WOEFUL and they were beat before the game even started. While I can't stand the effort or the team this year, I for one don't believe they are quite as bad as the Cleo Lemon team of 2007. Others will disagree with this and that's fine. There's probably not much between the two to be perfect honest.

Egreen, all good man. Unfortunately, the hatred runs so deep with fans now, that ANY tiny show of support for any Coach or player in this organization gets an avalanche of anger coming at you.

Sometimes we don't even know we're doing it, it just comes out when someone says something nice about anyone in a Dolphins uniform. I don't even feel comfortable saying good things about the kicker, lol.
