Well, I never thought I'd see the day, but unlike the mantra of this blog, there are some taboo subject here after all.
Look, if there is a trade rumor, I surely will follow it and tell you all I can about it. If there is a coaching rumor, I surely will follow it and tell you all I can about it. If there is a lineup change, this is the place to be. If there's a cross exchange among teammates media or opponents, you'll read about it here. If there is a movement in contract talks I will give you all I can. If there is a domestic issue that truly affects a player's status with the team or league, then yes, it will be written about here.
But a player's dating life? Rumors about who he's having dinner with?
Nope. I'm not going to do it. I'm not going to go there unless he brings it up and makes it public and even then I will address here only it if it affects on-field matters.
Period.
So if you want to know the latest Dolphins dating gossip in general and one player's deal in particular, then you're in the wrong place. This blog has its goofy moments, yes. But for the most part we do big-boy journalism over here.
So off you go if you wish to discuss the dating escapades of any player -- much less the escapades as chronicled by a website whose reporting I cannot account for or trust.
I know you know what and who I'm talking about. I hope you can understand me drawing the line.
If it costs readers or page views, that's fine.
Anyway, I just wanted to give you a heads up on the ground rules relative to the matter. I've never had to address them before because it was never an issue before.
Now it apparently is an issue. And now you know where I stand.

For Halloween the Dolphin's players dressed up as a winning team, sadly Halloween is over now.

Not only are we Sucking for Luck, but now we will have someone who will Suck Luck and everyone else on the team! Great addition!

Gotta be a Kardashian Bit@h involved, Mando, What say you?
Posted by: Coalition that HAD Odin Banned | November 01, 2011 at 07:58 PM
If it makes a player motivated maybe the whole team can take her out for dinner...they really can use some motivation!!

I appreciate your stance, Mando. Write football. That's the reason we come here.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Much respect.

Mando,
I sometimes hate when you trash the team but I respect you man and your work.
I respect your stance man, You're not in the "click generating and page views" business. I cannot say the same about some of your colleagues at the Herald. But much RESPECT bro for taking this stance!

Thank you! If I read one more thing about some big-assed "celebutard" it's killing spree time for me. Let's stick with the real story in Dolphins-land, which is: why is Ross letting Sparano & Co. dangle in the wind like this? Is he really trying to lose and get that #1 draft pick, is he really as inept an NFL owner as he appears to be, is he just a jerk who has trouble dealing with people or is it some other weird reason? The way he's dealt with Sparano has already scared off most (if not all) of the big-time candidates, no one wants to work for a guy who publicly humiliates his HC. Cowher's not coming to Miami, neither is Gruden and even if they won't say so, Ross is why.
"Suck for Luck" is real funny and all, but what makes anyone think that the Dolphins will automatically select a QB with their (certain to be very high if not #1) first round pick? Sure, they obviously, glaringly NEED a real QB, but that's been the case for many, many years now. Would any fan really be surprised if they had, say, the third pick and not only didn't try desperately to move up, but instead picked some DL or OL there (or God help me, traded down) and then snagged some low-rent, low-ceiling QB in the second or third round? You know what I mean, it's the "he's good enough" approach that landed the Fins all those Culpeppers, Harringtons, Lemons and Hennes through the years. If I had a dollar for every time I've heard about how next year's draft was going to be the one that solved all of Miami's issues I'd have like twenty-five bucks right now. Don't think they can't Bosa, Kumerow or Ginn up the 2012 draft, regardless of who's running it or where they pick, they have and they most certainly can again. So I wouldn't get myself all jazzed up about the Dolphins draft position in 2012 unless you're sure you're capable of handling massive disappointment.

Rumor has it that Steven Ross dates Donkeys.

Armando, I'm with you 100% period. You are a professional, a good one, very good path to following for the pretenders

As much as I appreciate the sentiment, Mando, and would normally agree, after 7 weeks of the Big L's, I'm almost thinking the dating habits and partners of the Dolphins would be better news than the same old analysis of yet another loss. Unless of course, a Kardashian is involved. Ooops!

Stormn, Now you let the cat outta the bag.....LOL
Posted by: Cuban Menace | November 01, 2011 at 09:13 PM
This is a pretty poor way to gain respect dude. You didnt have to announce to the world that you werent going to announce any dating rumors. All you had to do was not do it. Not announce that you were not gonna do it. So basically your just like everybody else.
Posted by: FUarmando | November 01, 2011 at 09:13 PM
What is that all about?
Posted by: klndry | November 01, 2011 at 09:16 PM
Would Pat Devlin have to clear waivers if the Fins want to add him to the active roster to see what he can do?
Everyone expects a QB in next year's draft.
Why not see what Devlin can do since this season is already a lost cause?
Posted by: Swamy | November 01, 2011 at 09:38 PM
Well Mando, Reggie did have a huge game against the Giants after having lunch with Ms. Kardashian, isn't that somewhat on the field related? Like, maybe he should do that everyday before gameday? Jk of course, but I think most male football fans would rather watch Kim on the sideline then the team on the field this year.
Posted by: Jon | November 01, 2011 at 09:40 PM
have seen nothing from Cam Newton that would make me want to draft him. MAYBE if I was a GM for a different team, I MIGHT feel SLIGHTLY different.
As the Dolphins GM I wouldn't even consider it.
He's a great athlete no doubt and has good wheels. Other than that, nothing but question marks. Can he read NFL defenses? Can he make ANY of the throws against NFL level cornerbacks?
I just haven't seen anything ARMwise that would make me spend a pick on the guy.
So again, is it just me, or has the Pat White pick severely jaded me?
I'm saying NO to Cam Newton. Way to big of a reach, stretch, gamble, project. Whatever you want to call it, JUST SAY -NO-!!!!

You went way back into the archives to dig this one up! I think you just set TWO records. One for going back into the blog and another for not having a LIFE-SHEESH! For REAL Bro-ROTFLMAO!

GuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuFFaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaW!!!!
---------------------------------------------
For real man, they say money can't buy happiness, but DAMN DUDE, AT LEAST "RENT you SOME"! You obviously NEED IT ;P
PS: I admit it(I was also the first to do so)I was way wrong about NEWTON. Can you imagine him on a team surrounded with talent? I never claimed to be infalliable, so sue me.
I still stand by my assertion that AT THE TIME and if I were the Dolphings GM, there were just too many question marks surrounding Newton for me to pull the trigger. I was wrong, I can admit, but those are the facts. At least I have the courage of my convictions. Like it or lump it, right or wrong, I post my opinions and stick with it.
PSS: Just for the record, I was NOT, nor was I ever banned at ANY TIME. It's more like a "Self-Imposed Exile" if you will.

PSSS: February 20? ROTFLMAO-you seriously need a life my MAN, Bhwaaaaaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

Reggie von Stoyanovich,
I agree this owner has done some goofy things in the last 12 months, but I believe he will make a sane move at the end of the season. No need to fire Sparano now, it would only be detrimental to the team (everyone knows what I'm talking about). So in closing, this post of yours is as goofy as Sparano's game-day decisions!

Everyone that knows me knows that I'm a hopeless romantic! I love with all of my heart and soul. I believed in love and the dream of what I wanted so badly. I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn't get off when now I know I probably should have. I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn't know how to and didn't want to disappoint a lot of people.

One rumour that's actually true is that Ross is dating Ireland, which is why he's not getting fired and is not required to address the media. This week they're shacked up in the Keys till sunday.

Mando, are you drunk? this is the most useless article i have ever seen from you! if you dont have anything to say, better not say anything at all.
Posted by: DK | November 02, 2011 at 02:22 AM
It would have been better had you simply ignored any requests for info on who is dating whom and not written an article about it.....How about your opinion on the Colts saying that Manning is NOT going on IR with this statement sprinkled in"I'm not sure we would necessarily play him in ballgames with our offensive line as beaten up as it is right now," Polian said.?
Posted by: 6bucks7games | November 02, 2011 at 07:37 AM
"BIG BOY JOURNALISM", That is the perfect description for what you do Armando. It sums it up with panache and also very well describes the majority of your target audience. Good work, now you are being honest!

He might be talking about Colt McCoy and Jordan Shipley.
Colt McCoy: [Laughs] Jordan makes a great roommate because I’m the quarterback, so obviously I’m the leader, so he has to do what I say on the field and when we get home.

Posted by: DragonFly13 | November 02, 2011 at 02:48 PM
Ok if Armando wont break the news, then I will...
Armando and Sparano have been dating for 2 seasons now...
And Armando is expecting!
That's why Sparano is selling his house, they need to make room for one more!
