Dolphins sign Shayne Graham to fill in for Carpenter

The Dolphins will announce in the coming minutes that they have signed former Cinncinati kicker
Shayne Graham.

Graham will fill in on Sunday for Dan Carpenter, who is battling a groin injury that will prevent him from playing against the Buffalo Bills. Graham is in his 11th NFL season. He kicked seven seasons with Cincinnati and most recently was with the New England Patriots.

Graham was 12 of 12 on field goals and 35 if 37 on extra points for the Patriots last season. He is, by the way, a field goal kicker of high regard. His kickoffs?

Not exactly a boomer. But you must remember he'll be kicking from 5 yards closer than he has previously in his career so the issue is mitigated.

RGIII is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

yesterday,

You can make a case for Barkley as well with 332 yds. and 4 TD`s, I believe both will succeed at the next level. The one thing is one (Barkley) plays a Pro set while the other is a spread formation QB but I won`t knock him. I was watching both games and the 69 yarder was nice because he had to put some touch on it and drop it in the bread basket from about 35 to 40 yds. out and he hit the WR in stride

LOOKS LIKE WE'LL BE DRAFTING LUCK AFTER ALL. RGIII SHOULD BE CONSIDERED 1ST OVERALL AFTER TONIGHT!

yesterday,

He really has, looks lathargic tonight, we`ll see how he responds in the 2nd half.

Fin4,

IMO, RGIII showing he's the real deal as a passer. What now puts him off the charts now is he's a great passer who also has world class sprinter's speed.

He's the bigger version of Michael Vick that's a great passer two. He'll drive nfl dc's crazy!

Fin4,

RGIII is looking like Dan Marino with the speed of Michael Vick!

Whatever questions were left concerning RGIII were blown away tonight. He's my new best college qb in America.

How can he not be? He only led #22 Baylor to the hugest upset of the collegiate season over #5 and Landry-led Sooners. Also doing it in grand style with a giant exclamation mark at the end!

Dolfans,

After tonight's performance we may can cross RGIII off of our list. He may just surpass Andrew Luck as 1st overall pick. Barring meltdown over his last couple games left.

yesterday,

Like I sad I won`t knock him for a minute, seems this will be the next great QB class.

yesterday,

Did you see the game to me Landry Jones is carring Joey Harrington type hype. Gonna go watch the 2nd half.

Coalition,

How is it you have such quick access to a POST I made so far back?

Hmmmmmmmmmmm............exposing yourself.......wait for it.........wait for it..........AGAIN-LOL!

I posted this and I have NO PROBLEM with it. I've had severe problems with Drugs in the past. Worse than most "NORMAL" people.

I made a positive out of a negative and am VERY PROUD of the fact that I made it through. I went to hell and beatch slapped the Devil. Most people that went the route I traveled never made it back.

I have friends, family and even do voluntary work for elderly shut in's. In short, I perservered and have a very productive and fullfilling life.

I'm making the best of the time I have left!

Yeah, yeah, YEAH!

It's a good day to be a Dolphins Fan!

School starts tommorrow, so I'm taking my 15 year old out for some last minute target shooting.

Taking him on his first Goose Hunting Outing next weekend!

Shooting the shyt out of something should off set the Morphine quite well!

I have 2-1/2 baths in this 2500 square foot house I call home. The showers get used regularly.

The last post above is the one you impostered, twisted and took out of context. I've explained it many times and it's quite obvious to even the most casual of bloggers here how you "operate".

You are a joke and if it wasn't you that posted the garbage about my sons, it was your better half.

The Blog Hit Brothers Strike........wait for it........wait.........AGAIN-ROTFLMAO!

PATHETIC!!!!

Tell you guys one thing Luck can do, he can throw just about the prettiest fade pass in the endzone I ever saw, seen it plenty and he just threw another one.

Fin4,

As long as RGIII could continue throwing the long ball for the Dolphins as well as he has in college. He wont have opportunity to throw very many endzone fade routes.

The guy looked like Marino to Duper-Clayton tonight!

RGIII could very well be the 2nd coming of Marino with Vick calibre speed. Can you guys fvcking imagine that?

Luck seems to have gotten his feet back under him in the 3rd.Qrt. 9/10 157 yds. 2 TD`s

PS: Blog Hit Brothers,

Tell Armando I was just joking when I made the "Bland and Passe" post.

Mine was the first post he responded too during last weeks live blog.

He'll know what your talking about, as I'm SURE you "talk" to him on a regular basis.

The Blog Hit Brothers Strike..........AGAIN!

Bhwaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Haaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!

PS: Gotta Go! Unlike your Princess of Pineapples(the one with the leaky valve stem), I have a REAL, LIVING, BREATHING BRUNETTE too tend too!

ValHalla!!!!

Ha Ha!

Everybody was going ON and ON about sucking for Luck and IRONICALLY, RG III and Barkley both have been playing LIGHTS OUT!

I LOVE playing Armchair GM and I LOVE the draft, but it just goes to show, it's one GIGANTIC, glorified - Crap Shoot!

God Help Us - ALL!!!!

odin,

In the 2nd half Luck has been lights out seems somebody reminded him that there were NFL scouts in the stands. Same thing with RG111 he was a different ball player in the 3rd although yesterday`s gone failed to mention that RG111 threw one in the flat that went for six the other way.

Fin4,

I'm not taking anything away from Luck, even if he had a little mini- slump going for a second there.

I'm just pointing out how the Suck for Luck crew made it sound like it was the end of the world when we won one game and then two.

I suspect their just might be more than one franchise QB coming out this year.

Shades of "83"!!!!

Odineye,

Should we pick around 5th-6th and RGIII is still there. It should be absolute no brainer to take him. No question.

The last nfl qb who could equally threeaten with his arm and legs was Steve Young.

I say Young because Im still not sold on Vick as a franchise passer. He's gotten a lot better, but, still not franchise calibre.

Of the top 4 college qb's(Luck, Barkley, Landry, RGII) Landry scares me most. Still, with Landry as the greatest worry, life's very good!

Miami 24 Buffalo 21

;)

Idk why u guys don't ever include Russell wilson but he is a four year starter and he is better than Landry jones and barkeley.
As for Graham, i watched his entire career a a cincy fan as well and i can tell u this: about as accurate as carpenter, but cannot kick a fifty yard fg. His limit is probably 45.

Karlos Dansby, go F*CK YOURSELF!!! "We're playing like we should have all along!" That's what you said.

Well, if you were the best, guess what genius, YOU WOULD HAVE PLAYED LIKE THAT ALL ALONG! If you were a true professional, you wouldn't have reported to camp 24 lbs overweight. If you could actually run the table and STILL get in the Playoffs, then history would back up your moronic idea that a team from the AFC East can make the Playoffs with 9 wins.

JUST GO PLAY!! No one CARES if you win or lose, you're a side story. The Dolphins sit at the kids table at Thanksgiving dinner, letting the adults (Pittsburgh, NE, Baltimore, Green Bay) talk amongst themselves.

Being the best would have meant you could have beaten Houston for the FIRST TIME EVER! Being the best meant you wouldn't have let Brady look like he was a man among boys in Week 1. It meant you would have beaten Cleveland, and TIM...I throw 2 passes a game...TEBOW!!

It's over Karlos. You're a joke, you don't scare anyone with a record better than .500. Yeah, keep thinking your the king of the short bus, and maybe you are. But all the action goes on in the BIG BUS.

Come prepared next Season and maybe we can talk about you in Dec/Jan.

one of MY FAVORITE LONG POSTS OF DC DOLFAN ............

RGIII could very well be the 2nd coming of Marino with Vick calibre speed. Can you guys fvcking imagine that?

If he had Colombo at RT he would need that speed to keep from getting murdered.

I BELIEVE IT'S A RECORD ;;;;;;;200 LINES WRITTEN @ 6;06 AM

ALoco, I know you like to read in the morning drinking warm milk, so, I'm here to oblige.

kris disappears every time he is asked -> How many names do you have here?

Plus, I'm sick of players on loser teams acting like they're important. Dansby WON'T be playing in the Playoffs, AND he won't be in the ProBowl.

So what the effe is there to boast about (do you know)?

DC, it feels like Monday seeing you post so many words. I guess you are at the office today.

Hmmmmm,

PLEASE,LEAVE KRIS ALONE..... WE NEED MORE OF HIM AND DC dolfan...PLEASE DON'T ANNOY OUR BEST BLOGGERS FOR DUMB REASONS .

Hmmm, get a life loser. You have anything to say about the Dolphins, or do you just have a hard-on for kris?

PCB, you're about as useful as an *sshole on my elbow. How's that make you feel? LOSER!

I,too, were watching the USC vs Oregon and Oklahoma vs Baylor games simultaneously and I have to say that RGIII definitely looked really good, especially on the last drive.
Here's two other names to throw into the pot for the upcoming draft:

Tyler Wilson, QB, Arkansas
Fletcher Cox, DT, Mississippi State

Saw both in the game earlier in the day and Cox is a guy that can play inside or outside. He's extremely strong and just bull rushes through an offensive lineman to get to the qb.

Wilson was extremely impressive with the way he carved up Mississipi State for 356 yds. Wilson will probably not come out this year because he's only had one year to hone his skills with Mallet being at the helm the last two seasons but the guy has a cannon and is unbelievable accurate in his placement of the ball.

Look out for these two. Cox is probably going to come out this year and he will be a force on the d-line. Right now is he rated as a high 2nd round pick if he declares. Take a gander.

judy, who won the USC/Oregon game? How'd Barkley look?

Hostile crowd this morning. Nobody get any last night?

judy............. don't over use the big words like ,;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

(( HE WILL BE A FORCE 0N THE D-LINE ))........

HOW DO YOU KNOW HE WILL BE A FORCE ?

WE SAID THE SAME FORCE CRAP ABOUT;;;;;;;;;;;

GATES
ODRICK
DANSBY

Barkley was actually pretty impressive, I thought. He did a nice job. The game was quite entertaining with Oregon moving down the field into fielgoal range with just a few seconds left on the clock and their kicker missed a little to the left.
At first, I thought it was going to go thru but I was wrong. I'm rooting for Arkansas against LSU in Friday's game and the way they have been playing I was glad to see so many teams ahead of them lose so they could move up. They got ripped off a couple of weeks ago when they had an impressive win and DROPPED one spot in the BCS. What a bunch of bull.
Anyway, keep an eye on Tyler Wilson, Joe Adams and Jarius Wright in the upcoming draft.

cool. thanks for the info.

judy............. don't over use the big words like ,;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;

So, to you, they are big words?

DC

Last weeks economic report said productivity in the USA has been going steadily down. Maybe you can shed some light on that? Too many people blogging on the job perhaps?

Survey: How many people here besides DC blog more than 70% of there work day?

JUDY,

NOT TO PICK A FIGHT,I RESPECT EVERY THING YOU WRITE BUT NO ONE IS PERFECT.............

THE WORD (( FORCE )) HERE MEANS ,HE WILL BE WAY ABOVE AVARGE PLAYER LIKE LEWIS OR WAKE .

I AND FAKE ALOCO BLOG 90% OF THE DAY ,...FUNNY BUT TRUE .....

Wake had one good season. He is a nobody now. NE's rookie LT handled Wake with ease. Trade him while you can still get something for him.

That is exactly what Parcells would do if he were still running the show.

PARCELLS.................. WAKE IS THE REAL THING,HE' dong the right thing by not playing hard to avoid injury under the pizza regime ............

JUDY,

NOT TO PICK A FIGHT,I RESPECT EVERY THING YOU WRITE BUT NO ONE IS PERFECT.............

THE WORD (( FORCE )) HERE MEANS ,HE WILL BE WAY ABOVE AVARGE PLAYER LIKE LEWIS OR WAKE .

Cox is a unique player on the defensive line in that he can play either tackle or end. Mississippi State moves him around all game so depending on the down. Cox would probably have a lot more sacks this year than he does but teams double him on passing downs.
South Carolina, for instance, doubled and sometimes even tripled him up on passing downs so he couldn't get to the qb. The last guy I ever saw play who could do what he does from the end position was Bruce Smith. Although Cox doesn't make a lot of tackles on his own he occupies offensive lineman which allows his teammates to make plays. He runs a 4.85 which is impressive for someone 295 lbs and he is very strong. Unlike Odrick, Cox is extremely quick.

PCB, nobody here cares about you. On the other hand, I am beloved on this blog.

Go cry contemplating that all day. Later loser!

The Cowboys playing the Dolphins is like Me playing Mini Me!

DC DOLFAN your are not beloved here somebody lied to you

The two qbs miami needs to draft, rg3 and barkley, both shined last night. Lets hope the dolphins dont fu#k their chances up!

J.Finkle,

I noticed you also caught both the USC Vs. Oregon and Baylor Vs. Okla. match ups as well. I guess you were commenting on what I wrote last night remember I wrote that at the half of both games without the end game settled. I agree with you that in the 2nd half RG111 was a different player after an uninspired 1st half and Barkley had a 4th qrt. to forget even though that late pck was more on his WR ball hit him in the hands and when he got the ball back it was his Fr. RB who blew the hand off while the pick six on RG111 was on him.

That said there is no doubting RG111 has what you want in terms of being able to bounce back from that type of play late because he more than made up for it and drilled the Sooners between the eyes without him I don`t think Baylor has a shot really. In contrast I think the USC team up by 24 with less than 12 minutes to go got comfortable against a danderous team, that has a Coach called Chip, how funny is that. I will tell you one thing I`ve seen Landry Jones now 3 times this Season and don`t get the hype he maybe this years version of all time hype machine Joey Harrington. After watching everbodies big 3 after Luck I`d have to say you go either RG111 or Barkley and you know what I think this draft has the potential to produce 3 or 4 Franchise QB`s because we still haven`t discussed the best of the rest.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Dan Carpenter.... and beat the Bills... my neighbor across the street has an annoyingly large Bills flag above his garage.

DC DOLFAN your are not beloved here somebody lied to you

Classic!

"If we are sure of anything, it is that this Global recession will be chronic", Wang Quichu-China's Vice Premier.

I'm pretty sure we can stop that very smooth runner they have, but, we have to mantain the lanes and have containment outside.
