The Dolphins want you at Sun Life Stadium on Sunday.
But if you can't make it, you'll still be able to watch them on television even if you're a South Florida resident and subject to NFL blackout restrictions.
The team, along with help from WSVN Channel 7 in South Florida, are again guaranteeing the sellout of Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins. The club previously guaranteed sellout versus Houston and Denver.
That means Sunday's game will be televised and the streak of consecutive sellouts, which dates back to October 1998, will continue despite a 1-7 record.
Tickets for the game, meanwhile, remain on sale.
Sunday's game will honor the military and their families. Unused tickets will be used for the military and to reward season ticket holders. The Dolphins will distribute the allotment of unused tickets on a complimentary basis to the military and members of the Disabled American Veterans.

I'm back.

Wow the stadium is going to be half empty but it a sellout?
I hope we stick it to Beck for sucking while he was here!

That's it, a win without a conservative play calling and the tickets is selling again.

Will the 49ers vs. Giants be on TV?
Posted by: RJ | November 10, 2011 at 05:00 PM
The sad thing is this team is going to win more games in the second half. Owner Ross will think that maybe this team has finally turned the corner. He will let Sparano & Ireland stay. Ireland sees Moore as the answer at QB. He will draft with the first pick an O-Lineman from Idaho. Then Sept. 2012 Deja-Vu all over again.
Posted by: octavio de armas | November 10, 2011 at 05:02 PM
Octavious,
Not to worry man. The true 2nd best qb in the entire draft will still be available anywhere from mid 1st rd to early 2nd rd. His name?
Kellen Moore. Lots of teams are going to wish they hadnt passed on this kid. If we pick bottom top 10 I hope one of those teams isnt us!
Posted by: yesterday's gone | November 10, 2011 at 05:11 PM
@RJ Yes, Fox will air Giants-49ers in Miami and West Palm Beach, according to http://www.the506.com/nflmaps/2011/wk10.html

Wow, the Game is on TV. Now I'm excited.

(from the last entry). The closest to Dan Marino that I've seen was Joe Namath, same quick release and accuracy but with worse knees and smaller, used to stand in the pocket until the last second before getting whammed, time and again, with very mediocre Teams most of his career. Shula feared him. Highly respected throughout the League.
Posted by: oscar canosa | November 10, 2011 at 05:28 PM
Well, at least they are helping a good cuase with supporting vets across south beach....the sad part is, why expose more people to this fiasco of an organization....expect an UGLY back and forth type game with field position status all day long...10-6 skins, or 9-7 fins
Surely enough to keep anyone watching dis-interested in the results...*lol* Just Sayin

This feels like the game that will finally break the home losing streak.
Disclosure: I said the very same thing about the Denver game.
Posted by: DevilsAdvocate | November 10, 2011 at 05:41 PM
it seems like the only good bet is for miami to find a way to lose @ home....it hasnt changed the last 13 games...maybe sparano feels this is GOOD LUCK
Makes Sense!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | November 10, 2011 at 05:45 PM
NOBODY should bet a cent on this Team. They are highly unstable, and they might just beat Green Bay now and lose to Indianapolis next week.
Posted by: oscar canosa | November 10, 2011 at 05:49 PM
S#@T Oscar,
more likely we would beat Indy one week , and lose to Le Salle high school the following week...Now that would IS unstable...but very possible!!!

For my part, I'm going simple tonight. A pan-grilled 11/2 " rib eye steak along with a baked Russet with plenty of butter.
Posted by: oscar canosa | November 10, 2011 at 06:07 PM
I also believe that sobriety tests should be 100% MANDATORY for certian miami sports journalists that will remain unnamed who start off articles "Fins gettin' better but why'd it take this long?" without the names ireland and sparano with the word "DISMISSED" printed next to it...

Yesterday's Gone - Seriously....Kellen Moore? Don't get me wrong, I'm a MWC guy and regularly get to watch Moore pummull my Lobos and other quite inferior MWC teams....but seriously, he's Flutie 2.0.
You really think a 5'11" 185 QB is going to be a franchise NFL QB? Not to mention, he has the mobility of a fence post layed in concrete. You think Henne is immobile, you haven't seen anything. Our local rag at the University posted a story (can't tell you absolutely if it's true)...but they posted a story that he's so slow that one of his linemen actually has a faster 40 (think it's the LG).
At anyrate, I've seen him up close and personal, and this guy can't move worth a damn....and again, he's 5'11"....how the hell is he going to throw over NFL linemen? And at 185 LBS....he's just going to get crushed back there.

That's the right thing to do especially Sandusky!! and Joe deserve to get fire for not call authority's and allowing this scum bag to continue being involved with children!!
It makes UM faults look like a misdemeanor
And now it takes all the scrutiny off UM and shifts it to PSU..

If Miami plays to their full potential, and... barring any major injuries, they should be able to keep it within 6 points
Posted by: phins n' skins | November 10, 2011 at 10:32 PM
Logan Thomas will be bigger than Luck in a year or less.
Jarrett Boykin is more talented than anyone on Phins roster. Boykin will be a mid-teen first rounder. And better than Dez Bryant.
Posted by: TheSMF | November 10, 2011 at 10:35 PM
I see it 9 to 6, a redskin win. There just to bad to win 2 in a row, and when was the last time they won more then 2 in a row? 2008?
Posted by: Just The Facts. | November 10, 2011 at 10:35 PM
Washington and Seattle are 2 places Henne could end up. And if he ends up there, even as a backup, he'll start at some point.
Shanahan signed another Michigan QB and rode him for 3 years until the D gave out in Denver. Then he turned his back on Brien Greise. He'll do the same with Henne. But he'll ride for as far as it takes him if Henne gets on a roll.
Same for Pete Carroll. Henne played against Carrol and Bush and Leinart and those USC guys for the Nat'l Chamionship. Henne put up like 38 points in that game.

Anyone who is happy with joepa being fired is an idiot. Anyone who doesn't want a big name like Ocho or haynesworth or any other big name on this team because they don't understand the words 'improvement at position'...also, bigger idiot. Superbowl is filled with superstars.
Posted by: inimounts | November 10, 2011 at 10:58 PM
Paterno covered up or should I say turned a blind eye to a sexual assault on a kid/student...he should have been fired...what if that was your kid or brother, or cousin, or best friend, etc....? Then how would you react?
Posted by: C63-AMG | November 10, 2011 at 11:12 PM
Paterno reported the allegations he heard to his superiors, School Officials.
Should he have made sure it was reported to Police?
I don't know. But I do know, if it was me, when I didn't hear anything about it, I would have followed up with questions of school officials and then a call to the local police.
It's one thing to mind your own business, but when it comes to innocent children, we all have to step up and do our part in protecting them.
Paterno did the right thing. He could have and should have done MORE though! It's a sad, sad situation all the way around.
America should borrow a page from the ancient Romans when it comes to criminals like Jerry Sandusky!
Posted by: odinseye | November 10, 2011 at 11:15 PM
Henne to Skins after season? Anyone else see that coming down the pike?
There will be no compensation to the Phins.
Posted by: TheSMF | November 10, 2011 at 11:31 PM
The top 2 available QB's this offseason will be Henne and Orton. They're both free agents.
Who else?
Posted by: TheSMF | November 10, 2011 at 11:34 PM
Just read the Grand Jury testimony!
It's sickening the way Penn State Officials handled things. Penn State Officials and The Second Mile Organization knew of MULTIPLE allegations against Sandusky as far back as 1999!
Paterno should have done more, but at least he reported it to his superiors. He was the least of the offenders in my opinion.
Sandusky, athletic director Tim Curley, and vice president Gary Schultz should ALL serve PRISON TIME!
Posted by: odinseye | November 10, 2011 at 11:35 PM
Do you mean they knew of allegations of behavior in 1999 or do allege that they knew about it in 1999?
Posted by: TheSMF | November 10, 2011 at 11:38 PM
..I'm not sure there are too many people happy that Paterno got fired. But, it was the right thing to do. As the face of the University you have the ultimate responsibilty to do the right thing. You cannot "pass the buck" in a scenario like this. By not alerting the authorites he in essance was ignoring the problem. This is bigger then football, or a coaches legacy. This is about kids, and the violation trust by adults. There is no excuse.
About Ocho, and Haynesworth. How would they make our team better? We already have a guy that we pay a ton of money. That plays maybe half of the defensive snaps. So we are going to add another guy that plays at half effort on about the same amount of plays. A guy that doesn't like to play the role of "occupier" in the middle of the 3-4. How does he make any sense here? And Ocho, I don't care that he has seen limited time in NE. This is more Ocho not undestanding their system. But he is not the guy he was 3-4 years ago. We have recievers that can't get open now. No need to add another.
