This was a complete victory as the 35-8 score suggests.
The defense extended its streak of quarters without allowing a touchdown to 12. The offense rolled up four TDs in the first half to make this a walk before the second half was played. Matt Moore threw three touchdown passes and had a 133.3 rating.
And the special teams got a blocked punt and touchdown when Lex Hilliard recoverd a block in the end zone.
Complete.
Total.
Stampede of Buffalo.
The Dolphins have won three consecutive game. They are 3-7. They travel to Dallas to play the Cowboys on Thanksgiving.

Odin, How Many Hotties have you had his past month?, Iam counting 6., Correct me if Iam wrong.
-Actually, I had a slow month. It's been just three(the Brunette/two Blondes). Multiple times apiece :)
And Also, How can a 60 year old can score 6 "Hotties", Iam 56 and need to know how to "SCORE" with "HOTIES" when I Reach sixty.
Posted by: Coalition "NOT" To ban Odin. | November 27,
Though I'm not sixty, I have a good strategy worked out for the over 40 crowd. It should work till you're dead and buried.
First-and FOREMOST, you have to find the dim ones or the sympathetic ones. You'd be surprised how many young beautiful girls are out there trying to "make up" for how they mistreated their Dads and for how they let Dadday down(pyschology is a good tool).
Secondly-Whatever strategy you employ, Always, and I do mean ALWAYS include LOTS OF ALCHOHOL! It enhances any and all strategies.
Thirdly-If nothing else, dazzle them with generosity and MONEY! Money of course being the key word.
Stay fit, excercise and ALWAYS carry a nice wad of cash. Something about this combination, it's like Magik!
Works for me ;)

The same guys that were telling us that VY would transform this team are also the same guys that are saying RGIII is 'can't miss'. Is he?....I have no idea. But there are two things that make me stop and think when it comes to RGIII. Is he that good or is part of it the teams he's playing against? And why is it his backup comes in and lights up the competition and the team doesn't miss a beat? So is RGIII that good or is it the system he plays in or the competition he plays against? I don't know but it should be reason to stop and think.....
Posted by: Craig M | November 27, 2011 at 08:17 PM
Carson Palmer...after a rough 1st game....has gotten his feet under him in Raider land....
The AFC West has to belong to the Raiders...since SD went down hill in a hurry....I think Phillip Rivers is injured....he doesn't seem to have any zip on his passes....
Posted by: kris | November 27, 2011 at 08:19 PM
kris,
Is it too early to collect on that bet?....LOL. 4-7 now. How bad does it have to be before they can him? I would have thought it was 'playoffs or bust for him' after the money they spent in the offseason. I honestly feel it would be in the team's best interests to have a change.
Posted by: Craig M | November 27, 2011 at 08:20 PM
Craig M.....i'm gonna go down with the ship and say he is still with the Eagles come draft day.....
but I will say I made a bet without all the pertinet information.....maybe I should have reseached just a bit....
But....
In the end...Reid survives....they finish 2nd in the NFC EAST next year....lose the 1st play-off game....then he gets fired....
Thats how I see it playing out....

Craig M....
One thing we did agree on was the VY thing....I hate his throwing motion....and if you take away CJ2K that year...no way they run off 9 staight wins...
VY=Tim Tebow in my opinion.....and I say NO THANKS....
Posted by: kris | November 27, 2011 at 08:28 PM
I don't think I would have taken either side of that bet.
Looks like it could just as easily go either way in Reid's case.
Eagles seemed poised to take a Solid Step into being routine contenders.
POOF!!!!
Posted by: odinseye | November 27, 2011 at 08:29 PM
Wow!!....brave man. We'll see how it plays out kris but I think his time is just about up. If the win out the team finishes 9-7 and I don't see that being good enough to make the playoffs. I think Loria will pull the plug but we can talk about this in January.
Posted by: Craig M | November 27, 2011 at 08:30 PM
kris,
I think after us giving up a 4th round pick for Orton I has VY as the next best option. What I HATED was all this BS that VY was head and shoulders above everybody else and was the automatic answer to all our problems, the 'franchise' QB, as some people were saying. He's not and we've seen that play out.
Posted by: Craig M | November 27, 2011 at 08:33 PM
Craig M...I was saying Reid is safe no matter what this year...and gets fired after NEXT season's play-off loss....
I was on the Orton wagon hard...thank GOD Ireland didn't pull the trigger on that one....the real BIGGEST LOSER in all of that was ORTON...his pride cost him MILLIONS...IF NOT 10'S OF MILLIONS....
His value will NEVER be that high again.....
Posted by: kris | November 27, 2011 at 08:38 PM
Agreed kris, on Orton.
Posted by: Craig M | November 27, 2011 at 08:39 PM
Odin....they have been routine "contenders for the past decade....
Thats why I think Reid gets a pass this year....
Posted by: kris | November 27, 2011 at 08:40 PM
I didn't like the idea of VY from the start.
I would still take Orton first.
In the end though, I think we did the right thing in sticking with Henne/Moore and our draft picks.
I don't have a complete handle on the QB's coming out, but I'm sure there will be some good ones worthy of a high pick.
Posted by: odinseye | November 27, 2011 at 08:44 PM
I believe the argument was If Orton was better than Henne. And if he gave Miami a better chance to win this year.
That's the way I remember it.

Phinsfan78....
i believe you are right....and that puts thing into perspective....
Posted by: kris | November 27, 2011 at 08:47 PM
...I like what I see from Robert Griffen. What I will say is that the advantage these multi-threat quarterbacks have in college that they do not have in the pros are. 1. They are usually the best 1 or 2 players-atheletes on the field. And 2, and IMO this is the most under appreciated aspect of college to pro football. The amount of preperation time a team has in a week between the 2. In college the practices, and film study with coaches is mandated to so many hours a week. In the NFL, this is unlimited(except for bye weeks). Defenses are at tremndous disadvantages each week as far as installing new schemes for defending these offenses, just because the practice time is so limited. Advantage to the offense.
This is why a majority of rookie quarterbacks struggle coming out of college reading defenses. They just do not see that many different looks over a 12-23 game sample. This is why a guy like Andrew Luck is so drooled over as he plays in a system that is exactly like the one San Francisco runs. Now the same rules apply to him as far as seeing the same stuff each week. But his system, unlike say Baylors. Has Luck making the same BASIC reads, and progressions he will see in base NFL defenses. His audibles, and progressions are the similar if not even more complex then teams like..Us.

Posted by: kris | November 27, 2011 at 08:40 PM
Kris, I thought of that as I was posting.
What I meant though, is that I expected them to take another big step and be even better.
I expected them to challenge for the NFC title.
Posted by: odinseye | November 27, 2011 at 08:50 PM

Posted by: Darryl Dunphy | November 27, 2011 at 08:52 PM

Posted by: phinsfan78 | November 27, 2011 at 08:53 PM
Odin...
Perhaps I mis-understood....
but let me tell you this.....
If there ever was a team that was HURT by the lock-out....i would say its Philly....
Boat load of new FA....
Mike Vick Over paid...
VY and his dumb "dream team" comment...
and just a silly amout of pressure....
To me they are like the HEAT....and will be MUCH better after a year to gel....
Posted by: kris | November 27, 2011 at 08:54 PM
I know Reid isn't gonna come to Miami....but he is exactly the type of coach we need in the AFC EAST....
Someone who immediatly will have Belicheat and Footy's respect....
A coach they would have to truely game plan for....
a coach who KNOWS how to win...but is still HUNGRY for that SB....
Reid plays 21st style football...and turns 3rd tier QBs into 2nd1st and 2nd round draft picks...
Reid without a doubt would be my #1 choice for HC....or some type or Reid clone....
Posted by: kris | November 27, 2011 at 09:03 PM
Agree Kris.
The Heat comparison and the year to gel especially.
That is, IF Loria "Stays the Course".
When you need to make changes, you need to make changes. To often though, people makes changes just for the sake of change.
I don't know what happens, but I'll bet Reid is starting to feel like he's walking a tight rope!

..Odin. Doing well. I just got my playoff tickets today for the game Saturday in Missoula, and because of the unseasonable weather..Fishing dry flies on the Yellowstone today... Avalanche danger killed opening week of snowmobile season, and we got tankered up and burned the turkies..Life is good.
I like all of them. Of course I would take Luck first. But I think all of them have "upside"(I hate that term, wtf does it really mean?) They all could be garbage as well. I just hope we get one, and he works out in our favor. If I has to pick one after Luck. It would be Griffen, just because of his mobility. I think this is a huge advantage for young guys while learning to play the position. They can take off and make plays until they get comfortable reading defenses, and becoming a passer.
Dying Breed...There is Ricki Stanzi..getting ready to come in perhaps.
Posted by: Darryl Dunphy | November 27, 2011 at 09:32 PM
To those of you who blamed all of Henne's woes on the OL....POIZEN....among others...
Turn on the Steelers game...want to see a crappy OL...there it is.....
But still the QB makes plays.....and that what you have to expect from your QB.....
We fell all ouver ourselves when Henne finnally broke the pocket and ran for a 1st down...and we dam near crapped our pants when he dodged a defender....and then completed a pass....
I got news for you guys....TOP TIER QBs make plays CONSISTENTLY...
and thats what we will need to have to be competitive year in and year out....
and BTW....Ben is doing this with a broken Thumb...

Kris--Yeah, I get the sense a lot of folks had no idea how how unpopular Reid is here in Philly but I guess they do now. You would find VERY few who want him back.
The criticism is focused on specifics, too, not just on general anger about the team. Reid is seen as a horrendous clock manager and far too friendly with the players---leading to a team that is considered 'soft' by many.
I'm not saying I find that entirely fair, or agree with all of it (although the 'soft team' argument has some merit, I believe) but the man has few fans left here regardless.
And again, I don't think there's any discounting the serious family issues Reid is struggling with. If he's let go (which I would say is a 50/50 or better likelihood) I just don;t think he would want to immediately jump into another pressure cooker in Miami or elsewhere. Reid looks and acts like a man who desperately needs some time off---at least to me.

Dr. Roberts,
You sound like you're in the Philly area, so you might know about this.
Wasn't it true that Reid actually got caught smuggling in some narcotics(Dilaudid/Oxy-Contin)to one of his kids in the Prison Visiting Area?
That's what I remember hearing at one time anyways, his kid supposedly snitched him out after he was later caught with the drugs.
Anyways, just wondering if that was true and whatever happened to Reid for it?
