What is it with the Dolphins and all this dancing?

I think dancing is great. Really. I admire dancers. I was a pretty good dancer once. (It's in the blood).

But the Dolphins are seriously into dancing lately. I mean, seriously.

You saw Jared Odrick do the curious Pee Wee Herman dance after he made a play against Washington on Sunday. Today, during warmups before practice, linebacker Kevin Burnett put on some interesting moves that caught the entire team's attention. It was like, everyone is stretching and Burnett is going off to Atomic Dog.

Burnett was apparently celebrating the 100 year anniversary  of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity.

And in the Dolphins locker room there is picture of Jason Taylor in all his Dancing with the Stars splendor with a funny caption that I don't believe I can repeat here but you get the drift.

My God, this is a happy 2-7 team!

Not only is there dancing, but then there are jokes about the dancing. Leading the charge as the butt of the jokes is the Pee Wee dance from Odrick. No question.

"I'm voting that the top worst celebrations I've every seen," linebacker Cameron Wake said of the Odrick dance. "I've told him, and he doesn't even care. I thought it was a one time thing, you know,  But that's his thing now. So I thought, 'Ha ha that's good,'  when I first saw it. But now it's like, "Dang, he's doing that again?' Next time he does it I'm going to push him out of the way."

Taylor was right there with the ripping of Odrick initially, but he dialed back Thursday.

"He got his feelings hurt when we said he didn't like it," Taylor said. "So we just left it alone. Whatever, just keep making plays he can do whatever dance he wants."

One player who definitely is not on the Dolphins top dance competition this week (or maybe any week for that matter, unless I miss my guess) is tight end Anthony Fasano. Fasano is nursing a tender ankle. He returned to practice Thursday on a limited basis after missing practice altogether Wednesday.

The Dolphins hope by Sunday he'll be ready to bust a move or do whatever dance it is that moves him.

Is anybody else out there drinking Beam out the Bottle while watching King Of The Hill and Blogging?

tebo = worst qb in nfl ever. prolly 4ever too. idgo as far to say every practice squader would be a vast improvement

C'mon MAN!

Didn't anybody else take the week off for Deer Hunting Season?

PS: My Brother in law is turning some of my 6 pointer into Jerky.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!!

(Eat your Heart out Daniel Boone!)

BeerPhin,

T-Bow has been working the magik, but I have to agree with you.

I think Ronnie Brown could run Denvers Offense better :)

I have to agree with Odin and Geronimo, we stick with the 3-4.

Our defensive lineman aren't a good fit for being 4-3 tackles and our OLB's are undersized as ends.

3-4 - 2

4-4 - 0

(PS: This is NOT odinseye trying to get his poll going)

yesterday's gone,

To quote an old friend of mine:

"Hey Dad, who do we have here, Bill Shakespeare?" "You like rolling doobies? Well, you're gonna' have plenty of time to roll doobies when..............YOU'RE LIVING IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!!!!!!!!!! "Do me a favor Dad....SHUT THAT BIG FLAPPIN' PIEHOLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you're a psychic? Please, help me out, I'm a manic daytrader, let's pick up some money?????!!!!! Jeeeeeezzzzzzz!!!!!

odinseye:

For the record, I AM NOT a UF fan, but if your one of the ones that thinks that Tebow is "just lucky", then thank God you are not an NFL talent evaluator! The factor that scouts like Ireland ("Is your mother a prostitute?") neglect all too often is heart and makin' plays. That big, goofy, religious SOB makes plays! Period. Only wish we had one guy on our team like him. Don't give a sh.t if it was our long-snapper!

odinseye:

Deer jerky good, goofball football observations bad!

Still Hard,

Don't mean to burst any bubbles, but it took NFL defenses a minute to figure out Mike Vick.

T-Bow will be a quicker and easier fix.

I don't care how much heart you got. You just can't get by in todays pass happy NFL throwing 2 - 8 passes a game.

T-Bow's "LUCK" is running out fast. His NFL days are numbered.

Nothing personal, just my opinion.

Next, take that crushed up nylon/net baseball cap off, then bend over, tuck your face between your legs and kiss your non-football knowledge ass goodbye! Another fu.kin' sssssssstuuuuuuupid-ass redneck who can't accept a winner, because he doesn't come in the "REDMAN" package they understand and are used to! Open your eyes and mind and accept winners come in all sorts of packages. Jeeeezzzz! Look at our team?! Where would you rather be right now?

????????? I don`t get it or any other part of that winded gas bag post. odin, who is this idot??????????

Yea, DC, I see what your saying.

Its just I want Miami to have an elite QB, so freackin bad.

I'm convinced 100%, thats what this team needs.

I was just like everyone else on Tebow. But in higndsight I was wrong. He may not be an elite QB. But he is what Miami needed. Someone that can come in and change the way this team thinks about football.

Miami should make Indy an offer that they can't refuse. I'm sure they don't want two high salaries. And they don't want to give up Mannings royalties. So a deal could happen.

Tebow? What are you seeing? 50 yards in first half, 2 completions last week. Tebow its Terrible.

Posted by: bondy | November 17, 2011 at 10:13 PM

His team believes he can win.

TRADE UP FOR LUCK!!!!!!

phinsfan78 | November 18, 2011 at 02:05 AM

I`d trade every pick for Luck except our 3-4 Rds. and in those Rds. go find me some T.E.`s and call it a day while adding some stop gap players via FA for other holes till 2013 draft.

See thats what I'm talking about.

Miami has to try. It's a gamble. But the odds are good.

11. Buff we win (not by much but we win)
12. Dal we could win this one too - they are not that overpowering this year and we should match up good against them. I predict we intercept Romo twice this game.
13. Oak Palmer still rusty we could win this one and it could be a runaway maybe by 10 points
14. PHI I don't think we can but hey they blew one they were supposed to win running away. If we have the mmomentum !!!!!!!!!! (yes we could) Ok Ok stop, realistically this could be another loss for us.
15. Buf we could win this too and sweep them
16. NE we will loose by 21 points
17. NYJ we will loose their defense will stop us
So that means that we have a good chance at winning 4 and maybe even a fifth game - Moore is looking better every game - our defense is starting to perform as we had expected them to. Gates might surprise and return a unt or kickoff all the way and we win ..... hey who knows it could happen and it is not that far fetxched either.
so if we win 4 more (bufalo twice Oakland and Dallas). So at 6-10 where are we in the draft - I think somehere between 10th to 12th place. Still a good place to be for a team that is not looking for a QB.

With that ranking it would take us giving up our first and second round picks, plus either a fourth or fifth round draft pick so that we could trade up to second or third position. That would make it extremely difficult for a team to pass up if they already have a decent QB, and especially isf they were not planning to draft one.

So now we need a GM with balls to do that - so is Ireland our man ?? I don't think so.

Hey we can also cut Solai's contract to half as much money before the draft (at least try) and go for 2 more quality free agents before the draft.

Plus is Bush worth what he is getting paid (not in my book)

So there you have it. Is it plausible ?- well we will see.......... but I predict we will win at least 3 more games and maybe 4

We will not trade for Payton if the colts get the first pick they will select Luck. They will not trade Payton for 2 more years, so that Luck is not thrown in immediately. Payton will tutor him.

So we must get one of the other 2 top QB's in the draft no matter what draft picks we have to give up. It means the future of our franchise. It means the next 12 to 14 years we would have a good QB. a cannot miss QB. The rest of those picks we will make up for them in free agency. We should draft a safety with the third pick (second if we do not trade up)
The rest we could get in free agency.

We have lots of needs, but none as pressing as our franchise QB.

He's a leader, his teammates believe in him. I will take that anyday. I still believe you don't need 300 yds. passing every game to win in the NFL. A good defense with a QB like Tebow can win, without a doubt.

Odinseye,
Please tell me what "ROTFLMAO"? I see it used all the time and I get the "LMAO", but I can't figure out the ROTF part of the acronym..... I'm not assuming it's complimentary to me, but I took a shot at you, so it's all good :)

MANDO, IF YOU TOLD ME THAT I WOULD LEARN A NEW DANCE STEP TODAY BEFORE 11:00 AM, I WOULD HAVE NOT BELIEVED YOU. I'VE DONE A LOT OF THINGS WHILE READING YOUR BLOG, BUT I NEVER THOUGHT I'DE BE DANCING TO IT. I WISH I KNEW THIS STEP LAST WEEKEND. SO HERE'S MY QUESTION, WHO'S PARTY WAS THAT, AND WHO'S THE ATOMIC DOG ON THE FINS ROSTER, AND WILL WE SEE IT ON SUNDAY?

HIRE MIKE MAYOCK AS A GM. HE'S THE MOST KNOWLED
GABLE TALENT EVALUATOR AVAILABLE. AND ALSO GET
MOOCH (STEVE MARIUCCI) AS OUR HC. THAT WILL GI
VE THE FRANCHISE A LOT OF FOOTBALL SAVY, & IT
WILL TEACH THE PLAYERS WHAT TO DO & HOW TO DO
IT. TONY IS REALLY A VERY NICE MAN BUT AS HC HE
DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE.WE NEED AT LEAST 6 DIFFE -
RENT POSITIONS THAT HAVE TO GET BETTER, NOT JUST THE QB. LANDRY, GRIFFITH, OR THE KID FROM
USC WE'LL DO FINE. GET QB,OL,LB,CB,SS & DL REIN
FORCED. DUMP MARSHALL, HILLIARD, LOSMAN,MERLING
MISI, BELL, SMITH,CARROLL, ALLEN AND GET NEW
BLOOD. LET ALL ROOKIES PLAY THE REST OF THE WAY
AS WELL AS DEVLIN. MOORE IS A BACKUP, WE KNOW
THAT, SO PLAYING DEVLIN AT LEAST WE'LL GET AN
INKLING OF WHAT WE HAVE IN HIM.ALSO FIRE NOLAN
AS DC, HE HAS BEEN REALLY DISSAPOINTING.

Dolphins Win No More Than Two More Games. Here's Why:

Weeeks 11-17

11. Buff
12. Dal
13. Oak
14. PHI
15. Buf
16. NE
17. NYJ

We lose to DAL, OAK, PHI, NE simply wont hold those offenses to below 24pts or lower nor score 24pts or higher with Matt Moore as qb.

We lose to NYJ because Matt Moore doesnt lead us to 14pts or higher against thier D.

Best chances for two victories are against the Bills. I believe our minus crucial turnovers can score at least 24pts on thier D. It will be a matter of if our D is able to hold thier offense to 24pts or lower.

I see us finishing 4-11 at best. Dont let the glitter of the present fool's gold(2 straight victories) fool you.

Good post and I totally agree. People are going way off their rockers thinking we're going to run the table or something.

Also, when you look at the competition we have for a 1st Rd QB in the draft....it's pretty much the Redskins and Seahawks. If all QBs declare for the draft, It is probably that both the Redskins and Seahawks, as well as the Dolphins will get Barkley, RG3, or Jones.

A lot of the bottom feeders this season are already invested in 1st round QBs, so they'll be looking for supporting cast.

Poser, let them dance and have fun. It's an F-ing sport. all you do is make everyone uptight and angry. F-off Mondo go be a JET reporter it's obvious you hate your beat and we all hate you!
