ORCHARD PARK, NY -- The Dolphins have been in the red zone three times today and have failed to score a touchdown in any of those trips.
Brandon Marshall has dropped two potential TD passes to hurt Miami's chances of getting more points. Nonetheless, the Dolphins defense is playing well enough to make up for the issues.
The Bills have only 7 first downs and QB Ryan Fitzpatrick has a 57.3 NFL passer rating so far.
So Miami leads 13-7 to start the third quarter. And the live blog continues in the comments section. See you there.

I can't wait for the suck up articles the Herald is going to print giving accolades to Ross and Ireland. The only thing the Herald criticized was casino gambling in S. Fla. now they sold there beautifully located building to a casino. Oh, the irony!

What a play by Wake...How the fuc is that not holding????

Washington has a good chance of going up 5-9 today.
Posted by: cosmodo | December 18, 2011 at 03:16 PM
Kris - At 5-11, we're still gonna have to trade up to get a QB in this year's draft.
And don't rule out the Fins beating the Jets at home.

Fitzpatrick, looks more a Taliban that QB
Posted by: tony in miami | December 18, 2011 at 03:17 PM
Dusty....I agree.....
Posted by: kris | December 18, 2011 at 03:17 PM
Wouldn't that be something if the Chiefs would beat the Packers???
Posted by: #1 Dolphin Fan in Montreal | December 18, 2011 at 03:17 PM
Ryan Fitzpatricks beard has a Harvard degree
Posted by: SoiledBottom | December 18, 2011 at 03:17 PM
The Dolphins defense has had at least one interception in six consecutive games.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 18, 2011 at 03:18 PM
Im all for a KC win over the Pack. It also happens they compete for draft position with us in the upcoming draft.
That's far more important than them stopping a Pack undefeated season, IMO.
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone | December 18, 2011 at 03:18 PM
miami cant afford to trade up.
Posted by: dusty bottoms | December 18, 2011 at 03:18 PM
Rand....I think you are right.....
Posted by: kris | December 18, 2011 at 03:18 PM
Hats off to Moore, Bush, Davis and Wake today.
Posted by: cosmodo | December 18, 2011 at 03:19 PM
Rodgers goes for it on 4th and 8 and they turn the ball over to the Chiefs at the Chiefs 39 followed by a 16 yd pass.
The Chiefs are driving.

be interesting to see which team is dumb enough to pay soliai next year
Posted by: dusty bottoms | December 18, 2011 at 03:20 PM

Hats off to brandon marshall......he knows miami needs a high draft pick and is doing his part....DAM U DEFENSE!!!*LMAO*
Posted by: superPHIN | December 18, 2011 at 03:21 PM
dustybottoms,
Shouldnt it be the Dolphins cant afford not to trade up? We still suck if we dont trade up. At least our future chances get better with a great qb.
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone | December 18, 2011 at 03:21 PM
Correction Dusty, Miami can't afford not to trade up for a QB
Posted by: Husketeer | December 18, 2011 at 03:21 PM
Armando,
Do you keep either coordinator if you're the new HC coming in ?
Posted by: nyfinfan | December 18, 2011 at 03:22 PM
packers just laughing on sideline, could care less. 100 percent different than when the pats were going for it
Posted by: dusty bottoms | December 18, 2011 at 03:22 PM
Incognito...Again. We need a new LG, RG and RT.
Posted by: #1 Dolphin Fan in Montreal | December 18, 2011 at 03:22 PM
Holding penalty on John Jerry. he's been better this week than Nate Garner was at RT last week, IMO.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 18, 2011 at 03:22 PM
Chiefs were 1st and goal but not looking good now ...
Posted by: rand_the_fin | December 18, 2011 at 03:23 PM
Um, now false start against Jerry. Still better than giving up three sacks as Garner did.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 18, 2011 at 03:23 PM
yesterday we need a qb so badly, thats why we need to lose. but we have alot of holes, would kill us to have to give up a 1st next year or another 2nd rd pick to move up. but hey ill do anything to least get our franchise qb in here. but that would suck to lose more picks
Posted by: dusty bottoms | December 18, 2011 at 03:24 PM
It's amazing to see how well Matt Moore is playing DESPITE the fact this o-line is mediocre at best...I remember all the Henne fans blaming the o-line for all of Henne's struggles...Moore is DOING IT with the same guys...That's what a good QB does...
Posted by: #1 Dolphin Fan in Montreal | December 18, 2011 at 03:24 PM
FG KC!!!!!!!!
KC 12
PACK 7

Posted by: kris | December 18, 2011 at 03:25 PM
Reggie Bush has 20 carries for 104 yards today.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 18, 2011 at 03:25 PM
Jimmy Wilson...Another good rookie contributing...

What the nfl doesnt undestand is that the motive for the 72 Dolphins going undefeated is entirely different from the Pats or Pack.
The 72 Fins had the bitter taste of a SWB loss in thier belly. The more games they won, the more they could absolutely afford not to loose.
Losing the prior SB was thier only motivation for being undefeated. They were trying for perfection, they were trying to win a SB. It just "so happened" they went undefeated alomnmg the way.

Good play by Bell...
Posted by: #1 Dolphin Fan in Montreal | December 18, 2011 at 03:27 PM
Defense is having an excellent game so far.
Posted by: cosmodo | December 18, 2011 at 03:28 PM
72 fins should of had the shut out in sb
Posted by: dusty bottoms | December 18, 2011 at 03:28 PM
no blazing speed by Bess but the last few games he's managed to squirt through a few holes.
Posted by: nyfinfan | December 18, 2011 at 03:28 PM
If Bess would have breakaway speed, he's be another DeShaun Jackson...
Posted by: #1 Dolphin Fan in Montreal | December 18, 2011 at 03:28 PM
YG and DB,
you got that right on both.
Posted by: NY "G" | December 18, 2011 at 03:29 PM
The best thing that can happen to the Packers is that they lose before the playoffs. At any point in the playoffs they can become the Pats.
It would be a "GIANT" loss!
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone | December 18, 2011 at 03:29 PM
How about a first win for Indy and a first loss for the Pack?? That would be nice...
Posted by: #1 Dolphin Fan in Montreal | December 18, 2011 at 03:29 PM
We'll guest we will have to trade up to get a QB.

Posted by: dusty bottoms | December 18, 2011 at 03:31 PM
9 minutes in the GB -KC and Rodgers is just too cool. This guy is GREAT and we are fortunate to be able to say that along with the Class of 83, we were able to watch Rodgers rip everyone up like butter.
