Live blog of Dolphins @ Patriots right here

FOXBORO -- The Patriots have something to play for today. If they beat the Dolphins, they clinch home field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. That's a big deal for a team that dosen't lose at home very often.

The Dolphins have something to play for today also. They're playing for jobs. They're playing for pride. They're playing for a win.

I cannot tell you which, if either, really matters more. I assume as professionals, a certain amount of pride will kick in once the game begins.

It'll be interesting to see what Charles Clay does today, as he's the team's only legitimate receiving tight end option for Miami. I believe the Dolphins will be using multiple receiver sets most of the day. That's the best way to attack a New England's secondary that is low on numbers due to injuries. It also makes more sense to use Davone Bess, Brian Hartline and Brandon Marshall than Will Yeatman or Jeron Mastrud.

It'll be interesting to see how the Dolphins deal with New England tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, who arguably are the best pair of tight ends in the NFL.

And then there's this: It'll be interesting to see how you react to today's game. You know the stakes. You know what a win means, both positve and negative, assuming you've been keeping up with the college quarterback situation. You also know that a loss has certain meaning, both positive and negative, relative to players who want to stay, relative to draft draft position, etc ...

The inactives today are Ray Feinga, Steve Slaton, Ryan Baker, Ryan Cook, Anthony Fasano, Will Barker and Pat Devlin.

There will be a live blog today. It begins in the comments section at kickoff. Meet me there.

Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukka!

Game day.

Armando, have you ever considered proof reading your blogs before you post them? Or maybe have someone else do it?

I count at least 3 egregious errors. How many can you find?

i found 2 myself, that how bad armando need spell check
(buffet of acorns)

Enough of the college quarterbacks talk.

Do people really think a rookie QB will be better then matt moore ? Miami will have to trade up, so it'll be multiple picks. so is a rookie QB better then Matt Moore and 2-3 other players from the picks given up ? just asking.

1. That's a big deal that dosen't lose at home very often.

3. Happy Hanukka!

Writing Happy Hanukka is like writing Merry Kristmus. Embarrassing for a national publication or for any publication. The Jewish bloggers may even be offended you didn't even take the time to get the spelling correct. It doesn't show much sincerity.

I found two, but this is a blog, not an article in the Herald. Well, off to the sports bar to watch the game in Sunny So Cal!

CHINA MAN COWER SPORTING A FUMANCHU MUSTACHE, HE WILL LOOK TANNED COACHING THE APE CITY DONKYS.

Armando, Merry Christmas and Happy New year for you and your Family.

Good Morning Fellow Phin fans

Merry Christmas to those in the know and Happy Holidays to the rest of ya's

lets pretend the game is over AND THE RESULT IS ;

BRADY 120
MIAMI... 3

......... no team comes to OUR NICE CITY BOSTON AND LEAVES WITHOUT A GOOD BEATING........

Personally, I would rather find out today the team has found a coach.

If Tom Brady and Matt Moore traded places then Matt Moore would stand flat footed in the pocket until his receivers eventually came open and the Pats would still be playing for home field advantage and Matt Moore would be one of the most successful QBs ever.
Brady on the other hand would spend his time handing off, getting sacked, knocked down, intercepted, underpaid, blamed and insulted by Mando.
No wonder Barkley is staying at USC he wants no part of this.
Merry Christmas

Boston women are stuck up. They dress up and go out waiting for James Bond to appear but they don't realize he won't choose them because they are not that special.

What's up losers?

Year 10 of rebuilding?, Is this a goverment owned team or what?

Dear Mr. Salguero

My friend says Tom Brady is a Metro-sexual...we should be able to beat him up right ?

Metro-curious

Soiled :)

florida's WOMEN ARE ALL AT WAL-MART FOR EARLY BIRD .........

(( BUFFET OF K NOWLEDGE )).........

Todd Bowles has the opportunity of a lifetime today and has his chance to put his stamp on this team.
It will be interesting to see how he approaches the game. Will he allow Dabol and Nolan to call an agressive offense and defense or will he play it conservative and pull back the reigns on these guys?
How prepared will he have the team to play compared to Sparano?

soiled,

merry CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR NICE CHURCH FAMILY..........

Need a huge game from JT today if we expect to slow Brady. Wake has to be his usual self too.

If not, Nolan has to use arrays of disguised blitzes. Problem with that is there arent many blitzes Brady hasnt seen. Sooner or later he'll hit a huge play against it. It could be even worse if those blitzes cant get there.

JT and Wake have to wreak havoc. Doesnt have to always result in sacks, but, does have to be enough to disrupt Brady's focus.

If the pressure isnt prevalent, expect Brady's 500yd repeat performance og game 1 in Miami.

Dear English: Can you splain me meaning of egregious?

Do you mean outrageous in some negative way or are you going with the archaic meaning, which is distinguished or eminent?

Soiled,

Curiousity killed the metro.

Merry Christmas to you Mr. Aloco

ALoco,

The dumb Florida women are Boston women disguising themselves as Florida women to get the early bird Walmart specials.

Dear English: Can you splain me meaning of egregious

LOL At Mando, Great "I Love lucy" Saying..

ARMANDO THE KING OF THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE AS DB IS THE KING OF THE FLIP-FLOP............

(( BUFFET OF KNOWLEDGE ))...

MIAMI WILL LOSE ABOUT 120-3 IN THE FREEZING COLD OF BOSTON ...........

Go Redskins!

LOL @ Armando!

Without qb pressure Tom Brady surpasses Dan Marino's 5,084yd single season passing yardage total today. Right now he's in the 400-500yd neighborhood away.

I've decided not to challenge YEAH! to posting first for the rest of the year....this is not the time of year for guns and knifes

Armando are you going to take heat with the bullshitero of English, she should be a Taliban... she said that to create attention

Sorry Armando, I had mistaken you for someone with pride and maybe appreciate constructive criticism.

You can keep publishing bad English all you want, but just know it is a disservice to the community.

ALoco,

I met your mother at Walmarts lastnight. She was purchasing a book called "Learning, Speaking, and Writing English For Dummies".

Someone's getting one helluva great Christmas present this year!

Man I'm going to watch our game but must admit I'll be going back and forth also watching the HATE FEST they will be playing at the New Meadowlands between G-Men and Jets.

Dear Mr. Salguero

I just read...

"Sorry Armando, I had mistaken you for someone with pride and maybe appreciate constructive criticism."

You wants me too's help you correct this mans back sass;s you Mr. Salguero

Allllrrrrright boys, let's do it! http://bit.ly/qugtWI

Nobody is going to spoil my great mood today. I love being here covering the Dolphins and the weather is wonderful and tomorrow is Christmas.

Awesome!!!

I'd rather have Tannehill than Barkley

Much thanks for the attention Soiled, that was meant as a taste of his own medicine...but only you caught it. Gold star for you.

Hilliard for Clay in the starting lineup. Yeatman for Fasano on the first play before the Dolphins come back with normal multiple receiver set on second down.

link?

GO DOLPHINS!!!

Happy holidays everybody!

Working link

that's the way Armando, send to hell those mo*** f***

So much for the Pats not being able to pressure the QB. Ellis beat Clay because Carey and Colombo were doubling Wilfork.

Anybody have a quality link to watch this game streaming??

Who was the genius who decided to set that play?

IM not roud saying it but......we should beat up these metro sexuals....just saying

Thanks Soiled!

armando,

HAPPY HANAKA TO YOU AND the dolpfins .....

welcome to BOSTON , I HOPE YOU GUYS CAN LEARN SOME CLASS WHILE HERE .

Looks like Bush will need to run for 500yds today to match Brady's 500yds passing.

Merry Grinchmas everyone!

Murry Kwistmas to all the Krustaceon bloggers.

Hartline's been having big play-itis lately!

what a throw and what a catch with the sun in your face

Yeatman was wide open down the seam and Moore didn't see him.

Hartline looks like a legit receiver when there is a QB who can throw it deep.

Patriots gonna give the Fins a beating for Christmas.

Ho Ho Ho
