Fisher search leads national pundits to question Fins

Even as Jeff Fisher continues to ponder what team he will coach and what team's owner will be his new boss, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross is taking it on the chin from national pundits that obviously don't hold him in high regard.

The latest to take a swipe at Ross is Foxsports.com and FOX-TV NFL insider Jay Glazer, who today held a live chat on the website he works for and was asked his thoughts on Ross.

"I think he is a great businessman but doesn't know what he doens't know when it comes to the NFL," Glazer said. "He has no idea the type of effect many of the things he does has. I wouldn't say he's a meddler and he definitely wants to win but he's done some things behind the scenes that has had many inside the league scratching their heads. Going to interview Jim Harbaugh last year while Sparano was still emplyed was ridiculous."

This comes only one day after Peter King of NBC's Sunday Night Football over America and the entire Earth not to mention the inner Planets, was asked on twitter what is the general perception of the Dolphins organization (Ross/Jeff Ireland) around the league?

"Proceed with caution," King answered.

Glazer and King obviously agree.

Kris, C'mon man, this is me you're talking too. I knew EXACTLY what you meant and I agree.

I was just saying, you're absolutely right and I don't think anyone is going to argue with you about it. At least they SHOULDN'T ;)

Kris, you said Fisher shouldn't be making as much as these other guys.

I meant to say, I agree and then this:

Another typo, I meant:

The C'mon Man WASN'T directed at you. It was directed at anyone trying to disagree.

Dusty....milk Tomlinson..... The steelers coach....

give fisher deadline. friday night midnight or offers of the table. period.

Fvck Fisher, Pvssy!

Mike

Get Chuckie!!!

Fisher sucks, Pvssy MoFo!

Tell Fisher to go f uck himself.
Better yet tell Fisher nothing...
tell a reporter other than Glazer and King that the Dolphins have told Fisher to go F uck themselves.
Then let Glazer and King pick it up from the wire like Mando does and pretend it is thier story.

Someone please remind me: what is Fisher's post season recod?

You have to remember with Fisher's decision to coach for either the Rams or Dolphins IS that he becomes President of Football Operations. Which means he gets final say over Ireland who get's picked up and who gets drafted. IF all you Ireland haters want Ireland pretty much out, you want Fisher in Miami. Ireland will merely be like a scout for Fisher telling Fisher "there's this guy in Free agency, do you want him?" or "with the 8th pick in the draft I want to draft an O-lineman, is that okay with you Fisher?" Fisher will basically be the Coach and the GM if he will have final say on players. So if that's the deal, let's hire Fisher and move forward. I'm sure Ross has told Fisher he would like to keep Nolan and probably DaBoll as well, but if Fisher is the coach, he'll bring people he knows and trusts to run the Offense and Defense. I'm guessing they are awaiting Fisher's decision before calling in other top coaches, but if he has chose Miami, I'm sure they Ironing out the part of what will be Ireland's role will be, now that Fisher is President of FB Operations. I'm guessing that's why a decision hasn't been announced yet. Just guessing because if the agents leaked out he has chosen Miami, maybe that's what Fisher's agent and the Dolphins are talking about.

WIN, LOOSE, OR TIE... DOLPHINS TILL' I DIE!!

CAD good point

Time To Throw is King...

Ask Brady, Brees, Peyton, Rivers, Rogers, etc

CA--that point seems to have been almost entirely ignored here.

If you want Ireland answering to someone higher up the food chain, you want Fisher.

If you want the next coach defering to him, then one of the assistants already interviewed is your man.

Some of you may not want to hear that, but that's how it is.

y....

Who gives a crap what ANYBODY wants to hear....you don't know ANY MORE than the next JOE posting.....

Yo might not have wanted to hear that.....BUT THATS HOW IT IS.....

that was for ty.....

i am with Fin4Life and stan from page 1 or 2 - BRING MARTY BALL TO MIAMI!! At least he'll get us to 14-2 w/a chance to clean up his reputation for being a playoff looser.

Failing that - keep Bowles and the current staff intact.

Maybe TY is Fischer, or Fisher, or Fizsure, or Fissure, or FizzShisher

fisher is really putting more pressure on himself to perform after this soap opera. if he isn't in the conference championship in two years he is going to catch plenty of heat to melt down his ego.

The Dolphins dont deserve Fisher. The Dolphins getting Fisher is like Rosie O'Donnell getting Brad Pitt!

Ross needs to open up the wallet and stop being so cheap if he wants to win.

I agree. If they try to keep the coaching staff together.

Marty should be the next coach leading the Phins out on the field.

Why would anyone want to keep the Dolphin coaching staff together? Its not like there's another Andrew Luck to suck for.

Because people do think Nolan is a good DC.
And Dabol hasn't had enough time to prove what he can do. Bowles is going to be a HC one day. He would benefit from studying under Marty. Until he decides to retire. Get this team great QB play and they will be in the playoffs next year. Marty is up to the task. I believe he is the perfect person to get us there.

Patience!!! EVERYTHING is negotiable until he signs with whichever team he goes to.

So Much For Keeping The Current Coaching Staff. Per Barry Jackson Column:

"Fisher already is assembling a coaching staff, which might include Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams and Titans linebackers coach and former Arizona head coach Dave McGinnis. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen said Brian Schottenheimer, dropped by the Jets this week, is on Fisher’s radar for his offensive coordinator job".

This suggests should Fisher become new Fins hc both Nolan and Daboll could possibly be out.

''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

Yeah, like I said , why keep the current coaches they're losers.

Get rid of all the coaches and the GM. CLEAN HOUSE not just one room.

Oh, how awful! Not only would Ireland's power be reduced but Fisher would ALSO bring in one of the most accomplished coaching staffs in the NFL?!?

Someone needs to stop this from happening! Please, Mr. Ross, listen to your highly intelligent fans and tell Fisher to go to hell so we can get a lesser guy that will answer to Ireland and lower-tier assistants!

Well Vicky I guess you swallow then...

It's Ross not wanting to part with Jeffy Boy

Not according to the information that's out there. Fisher is reported to have "no problem" with Ireland---he just wants to have the FINAL say in personnell, which Ross appears willing to give him.

There's been a lot of imaginary scenarios here, without ever considering that Fisher may not (and apparently doesn't) share the same views.

It wasnt that Ross went after Harbaugh. Clearly we would be better had he landed him. It was that SPARANO was still employed. It showed a bit of disrespect to Sparano. Could also be why Harbaugh turned him down. Ross has clearly learned from that situation, and has went about it the right way this time. IF Glazer and King want to hold grudges, let them, but Ross wont do it that way ever again. IF Fisher takes the job, and 3 years, Ross wants another coach, he will let Fisher GO first. King and Glazer can go suck chestnuts.

qb peices bowels same oc. dc. move on........catch the ball 7 not 3 will be fine.

An the know it all's continue to show their idiocy! Ross went after Harbaugh, he's willing to throw money to get talent! He tried to add celebrity status to the fish, which is a good thing. It works for the Knicks, Lakers. Many in football haven't tried it. So he gave it a shot. They will go after a QB! And if a coach will turn down a huge day because his feelings are hurt he was the second pick, then you don't want him!

Not to get ahead of ourselves here, but anyone else concerned about Brian Schottenheimer? I know that he had some personnel issues, but frankly, I think he is just a name and Daboll has shown that he has more upside. I thought he came across a little arrogant on Hard Knocks as well. That approach can mess with a young quarterback.

I thought Fisher should be the choice, but the more this thing drags on the more nervous I get about him being here. Its almost like he is asking himself which one of the lesser of the two evils. I say continue with the search. Now is the time to look at someone who may not have been on your initial list of candidates. Take a look at some of these hot assistants and listen to what they have to say they may just open your mind like Mike Tomlin did Pittsburg.

hey jeff ireland, is you mom still a prostitute?!
