Jason Taylor cries at retirement (a lot)

He cried in thanking his wife. He cried in thanking his mom. He cried in talking about one of his sisters, and his brother. He also cried while talking about his brother-in-law Zach Thomas. Jason Taylor let the eyes leak plenty late Sunday afternoon at his retirement press conference.

I'm not making fun here. I don't mind sharing that it was emotional for everyone in the room.

Anyway, my words could never do justice to his words.

So let him tell you what he felt. Yes, this required I break up the video in two parts because JT talked for half an hour before he took his first question.

So here's Part I:

And here is Part II:

Jim Mandich once said of this of Dan Marino and I think it fits JT as well.

"What a privilege it's been to watch this man play football"

Thanks for everything JT. You're a class act on and off the field. We'll miss you.

Thanks for the memories JT!!!

all day long i read so many dolphin fans say we were killing our draft position by losing. well at the start of todays games we had the 8th pick of the draft. after beating the hated jets we have the 8th pick of the draft. sounds like a good day to me.

Mando Mando Mando!!!!!! Pls update me on Bess's knee injury!!!!

Class Act, Wish the best to JT and his family. Thanks JT for the memories.

JT, thank you for carrying my Miami Dolphins on your back for all these years! I always say that I am proud that I had the priveledge of watching every single Marino home game, and now I can add you to that statement. You are a true Dolphin great in the same esteem as #13. You will be sorely missed!

I cried once after my rectum tore during a series of fistings.

I'll be the first to say it... let the number retire with the man. Retire #99.

Jason was my favorite Dolphin ever because he always gave it his all. Love You Jason!!

Always been a JT fan albeit I'll admit I was angry when he went to the Jets, but now I'll admit I cried today when I watched the video of the locker room speech he gave to the other players. JT you are a class act and I will always be thankful for the chance to watch you play, thanks for the memories and the best of luck in your career, whatever you decide to do, I'm sure you'll be great.

That just a MEAN name

Armando, What's this like your 8th Jason Taylor post in 4 days?, Your Hetro-credentals are being investagated bro.

JT: You personified what a Dolphin player should be. You are a man of character, integrity, and class. You were a great competitor, and you never took a play off. But you were also one of the best who ever played. You came to the organization at a time when we hadn't had a great defense for 2 decades. You changed our culture. We are now known as a great defensive team. You are one of the principle reasons for that change. You led by example and we have been blessed to watch you play. I will miss you as much as I did Marino. Fair winds Jason. Many blessings to you and your family.

Fireman Ed,

You must have been balling after the hosing the Fins gave your Jets yesterday afternoon. No surprises here about your choice of hand play, we have always known that you were not playing with a full deck. Remember to always wash your hands, best way to keep from getting sick, as if you were not already.

No playoff for us this year, but most importantly, no play off for the Fat Man!

Jason, I cried with you. You have been one of my favorite players of all time. I am so glad you won your last game with the Jets. You will be greatly missed and I have a Dolphin Jersey that I will wear always. Thank you Jason for being there for the Dolphins and your fans. God Bless you.

Thank You from the bottom of my Heart for ALL the Memories as 1 of my Favorite ALL TIME PLAYER whom Grace with Fields with your Talent and Aggresivements!! I WILL wear your #99 Jersey on my Back Forever with Love in My Heart for You, ALWAYS!! You will be sorely MISSED in the Miami Dolphin's Organisation.I Love You, JT!!

In my 48 years of life, I have only shed tears for two retirement speeches... JT and Marino. Damn. Cheers.

A first class act indeed, heart and spirit. I hope they retire this future hall of fame's number.

I would L-O-V-E to have seen Dan Marino, Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas win a Super Bowl(s).

God Bless and Good Luck Jason!!!!!!

FinFan 4 ever:D
