He cried in thanking his wife. He cried in thanking his mom. He cried in talking about one of his sisters, and his brother. He also cried while talking about his brother-in-law Zach Thomas. Jason Taylor let the eyes leak plenty late Sunday afternoon at his retirement press conference.
I'm not making fun here. I don't mind sharing that it was emotional for everyone in the room.
Anyway, my words could never do justice to his words.
So let him tell you what he felt. Yes, this required I break up the video in two parts because JT talked for half an hour before he took his first question.
So here's Part I:
And here is Part II:

Jim Mandich once said of this of Dan Marino and I think it fits JT as well.
"What a privilege it's been to watch this man play football"
Thanks for everything JT. You're a class act on and off the field. We'll miss you.

all day long i read so many dolphin fans say we were killing our draft position by losing. well at the start of todays games we had the 8th pick of the draft. after beating the hated jets we have the 8th pick of the draft. sounds like a good day to me.

JT: You personified what a Dolphin player should be. You are a man of character, integrity, and class. You were a great competitor, and you never took a play off. But you were also one of the best who ever played. You came to the organization at a time when we hadn't had a great defense for 2 decades. You changed our culture. We are now known as a great defensive team. You are one of the principle reasons for that change. You led by example and we have been blessed to watch you play. I will miss you as much as I did Marino. Fair winds Jason. Many blessings to you and your family.

Fireman Ed,
You must have been balling after the hosing the Fins gave your Jets yesterday afternoon. No surprises here about your choice of hand play, we have always known that you were not playing with a full deck. Remember to always wash your hands, best way to keep from getting sick, as if you were not already.
No playoff for us this year, but most importantly, no play off for the Fat Man!
