The Miami Dolphins today named Blue Adams as assistant defensive backs coach, Charlie Bullen as defensive assistant, Ben Johnson as offensive assistant, Chris Mosley as assistant offensive line coach and also retained running backs coach Jeff Nixon, thus completing coach Joe Philbin’s staff for the upcoming season.
None of the new hires today were coaching in the NFL last year and only Mosely has experience coaching in the NFL at all. My favorite of today's new hires? Adams, of course. He graduated from Miami High in 1997. I graduated from Miami High in 1980.
Seriously, a quick glance at the Dolphins entire coaching staff suggests very little NFL experience is on staff. Eleven of the coaches are NFL rookie coaches in the jobs they are currently charged with doing with the Dolphins, including Philbin, who is a first-time NFL head coach.

Feb 27th - Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder record "Ebony & Ivory"
SoiledBottom | February 12, 2012 at 12:29 PM
Dear Mr. Soiled,
I believe this track was recorded by Ringo Starr and Tito Jackson also the latin guitar player from Hall & Oats did the instrumental. He would of course be lost here given there are no light brown keys on a piano.

It’ll take a year for these new coaches just to learn the personnel……the opponents and their own. They dont know the tendencies of the opponents or what works and what doesnt. The Dolphins are now like an expansion team feeling their way around.

Dear Mr. Bottom's,
Events from 1980
Feb 6th - Beatles McCartney, Starr & Harrison record a tribute to John Lennon
Aug 25th - Mark Chapman, John Lennon's murd-erer, is sentenced to 20 years
These dates do bring back some memories. Not to mention a certain amount of confusion.
On Dec. 8 of 1980 I remember using a potato, Jack Daniels, and a large safety pin in aquiring my first piercing ever.
I wore a Gold Cross in Honor of my Fallen Hero!
I drank a lot that night. I sang alot too. I even cried a little.
(PS: It was a Viking Warrior tear. Not some blubbering sissy stuff!)
ValHalla!!!

Dolphins franchise is corpse that gets found by drifter and sodomized. Everyone that chooses to come here is the drifter. Those that get drafted and can't leave are part of the corpse.

Good NFL coaching experience at the top positions - Philbin, Sherman, Coyle and Rizzi. That's what matters. And key holdovers (Rizzi), Rogers, Nixon, and Campbell will help. I like the idea of younger college coaches being worked into things.

odin off topic here!
Been listening to this Whitney Houston thing and they say she hadn't changed and apparently not slept in a couple of days.
Was last seen popping them back in the Bar were Security was complaining about her bizarre behavior.
Hmmmmm????????
When found Dead she was underwater in the tub with a bottle of Xanax next to her.
As someone who went around the block a few times in my life it sounds to me like.
She was wired and up a couple of days.
Was looking to slow Her heart rate (anybody who's been there knows Xanax is endgame GOLD)
Probably given it hangs around your system for 36 Hours took to many and fell asleep either stopping her heart or drowning her by accident.

Xanax does NOT last 36 hrs. in the body, more like 12. She was probably taking another CNS depressant, like pain-killers, heroin, and her lungs would't move. If she actually was in the bathtub, worse.

Well... At least Sparano had a reason for his coaching selection... Ross and Ireland made him a lame duck coach with the Harbaugh stunt.
But this? I thought we were told there wasn't going to be yet ANOTHER rebuild? Almost all new coach's, no NFL experiance, all new philosophy, new offence???
Maybe some of the core players are still gonna be on the team. But it sure looks like another one is coming to me. I also like the no QB coach. That's not a strength we're lacking in or anything.
Tell the truth Mr Ross... You're really a Jets fan. You used your money to buy this team to watch it implode, because you were tired of Miami kicking your NY team around.

OC is only position that got more experienced.
All other positions the same or less experience.
The new HC was an OC.
The new DC was a backfield coach for Cincy.
The new OL coach is from Dartmouth.
Neither the WR or Asst WR coach have NFL experience as a player or coach. I guess Brandon will dictating the pace of the WR practices.

oscar,
I know your a Doctor but as someone who has taken it and has a parent who takes it will tell you the effect that particular muscle relaxer has on you can last up to well over 24 Hrs. I can tell you in the long term you'll start passing the 1 Milligram blue pills and jumping to the 2 Milligram white ones then upping the dose as your body assimilates.
I always read about people letting on to much about their personal demons here and have never done so but believe me I went around the block on many an occasion myself and understand going to HELL and back. I never picked up a rig or hung out at any shooting galleries but outside of that grew up fast and hard in Miami, by the grace of God came out the other end and NO I never bought the "It works if you work it" crap or any other dogma the Nazi anonymous community shovels just finally hit the bottom floor and walked away.

Interesting news regarding Dolphins running back position -
Dolphins may sign Canada’s top running back
Posted by Michael David Smith on February 12, 2012, 12:58 PM EST
Jerome Messam, the Edmonton Eskimos running back who was voted the CFL’s best Canadian player last year, may be heading 3,000 miles to the southeast.
The Edmonton Journal reported that Messam is taking his talents to South Beach to sign with the Dolphins, although a subsequent report said Messam hasn’t signed with the Dolphins yet and is still weighing Miami’s offer.
The six-foot-three, 245-pound Messam was third in the CFL with 1,057 rushing yards in 2011. He has undeniable talent, although he has had a string of off-field problems and once broke a teammate’s jaw in a fistfight. If he can stay out of trouble, he’d appear to have a good chance of making the Dolphins’ roster and becoming a contributor to their offense, which could use a big inside runner to complement Reggie Bush.

Don't understand all your commmentary, f4l, specially the end of it. I can tell you, though, I have never had a patient die of a pure Xanax overdose. I have had some patients that never woke up because of abuse of pain-killers(CNS depressants). Like, odin mentioned, Jimi and Janis. They probably died because of a combination of alcohol/barbiturates-qualudes. All long lasting CNS depressants also.

oscar,
I wont go further into specifics but after your up for 48 Hrs. and the party is done you still have your heart rate to deal with and Xanax and Propoponal are the best for slowing the heart rate enough to let you get some sleep. If you've done this for sometime then taking up to as many as 4 Milligrams to slow your roll isn't a big deal. Here you take your heart rate and slow it danderously, trust me here.
Posted by: fin4life | February 12, 2012 at 02:12 PM
It is more definite with guns, ALoco.

Humans don't make music. They tap into it.
Music is eternal. The closer you get to it's true source, the hairy-er and scary-er the ride gets.
From Robert Johnson to Jimi and Janis. Michael and now Whitney. Like Moths to the Flame!

Dear Mr. Odinseye
Ozzy Osbourne decided to sleep in when this occurred :
Randy Rhoads' last show was played on Thursday, March 18, 1982 at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The next day, the band was headed to a festival in Orlando, Florida.
After driving much of the night, they stopped on the property belonging to Jerry Calhoun, owner of "Florida Coach", in Leesburg, Florida.
On it, there was a small airstrip lined with small helicopters and planes, and two houses. One belonged to the tour bus driver, Andrew Aycock, and the other was owned by Calhoun.
Aycock - a licensed pilot - talked the band's keyboardist, Don Airey, into taking a test flight with him in a '55 Beechcraft Bonanza. By some accounts the manager, Jake Duncan, was also on this first flight.
The joyride ended, and the plane landed safely. Then Aycock took Rhoads and hairdresser/seamstress Rachel Youngblood on another flight.
Rhoads was persuaded to go on the second flight, despite his fear of flying.
Rhoads apparently agreed to go for two reasons: the seamstress had a heart condition so Aycock agreed to do nothing risky; also, Rhoads wanted to take an aerial photo as one of his hobbies was photography.
During the second flight, attempts were made to "buzz" the tour bus where the other band members were sleeping.
They succeeded twice, but the third attempt was botched.
The left wing clipped the back side of the tour bus, tore the fiberglass roof then sent the plane spiraling.
The plane severed the top of a pine tree and crashed into the garage of a nearby mansion, bursting into flames.
Rhoads was killed instantly, as were Aycock and Youngblood. All three bodies were burned beyond recognition, and were identified by dental records and Rhoads' jewelry.
It was later revealed in an autopsy that Aycock's system showed traces of cocaine at the time; Rhoads' toxicology test revealed only nicotine.
The NTSB investigation also determined that Aycock's medical certificate had expired and that his biennial flight review, required for all pilots, was overdue.
Rock history

I go on the 15th for a consultation and to decide on neck and shoulder surgery.
I've been suffering through on Toredol and Nuerontin(for sleep), mainly because their non addictive(from what I understand).
My pain specialist wants me to switch to Tramadol. From what I've read it's addictive with "No Buzz".
If I'm going to screw around with the addictive crap, I at least want a buzz out of the deal. WTF is wrong with Doctors today?
