The Miami Dolphins today named Blue Adams as assistant defensive backs coach, Charlie Bullen as defensive assistant, Ben Johnson as offensive assistant, Chris Mosley as assistant offensive line coach and also retained running backs coach Jeff Nixon, thus completing coach Joe Philbin’s staff for the upcoming season.
None of the new hires today were coaching in the NFL last year and only Mosely has experience coaching in the NFL at all. My favorite of today's new hires? Adams, of course. He graduated from Miami High in 1997. I graduated from Miami High in 1980.
Seriously, a quick glance at the Dolphins entire coaching staff suggests very little NFL experience is on staff. Eleven of the coaches are NFL rookie coaches in the jobs they are currently charged with doing with the Dolphins, including Philbin, who is a first-time NFL head coach.

Seriously, I wasn't questioning your expertise.
I was just curious if you had any insight and/or an opinion on my situation.
I've seen my Family Doctor, a Nuerologist and now a Pain Management Specialist and they are all recommending the surgeries.
The reason I asked specifically about the Tramadol and it's POSSIBLE other uses is because it apparently has pyschoanalytic(?) properties as well.
Anywhoo, it's addictive, gives me no buzz and makes me feel like a Zombie.
Or, as I suspect one of your patients might say, "It evens me out Man".
NO THANKS, I'll take CRAZY with a side of Buzzed any day!

The six-foot-three, 245-pound Messam was third in the CFL with 1,057 rushing yards in 2011. He has undeniable talent, although he has had a string of off-field problems and once broke a teammate’s jaw in a fistfight. If he can stay out of trouble, he’d appear to have a good chance of making the Dolphins’ roster and becoming a contributor to their offense, which could use a big inside runner to complement Reggie Bush.

Thanks, that's the kind of feedback I was looking for.
I thought it might just be me. They(my family Doctor) had me on the Toradol which was cool because of the non addictiveness. But it really didn't help much at all(it just made me want to drink more-LOL).
So the Pain Management guy prescribes Tramadol. I've tried taking it exactly like he said twice now. No pain relief, and it makes me feel like a Zombie! Add to that, it's addictive! No thanks.
Let me ask you another question about the Tramadol. Both times I tried taking it, by the 2nd and 3rd day it made my heart race and chest feel tight.
This ever happen to you?

If the doc tried to prescribe Tramadol..I would have lost it as the opiate fix is a joke..This comes from a guy that would rip 80 mg's of off green glory the first second he awoke to get his day going. I can take this medicine in a responsible, adult manner...But it is no joke. Trying to quit a wave of opiate abuse that lasted 9 years make strying to find a quarterback trival.. Anyway..my 2 cents.

Messam is the first running back in the CFL to eclipse the thousand yard single season mark in 12 years.
I suspect Lex Hilliard is a goner.
One source of concern - he suffered a torn meniscus in one of his knees that required surgery.

Tim in Tampa...I have to disagree with you on Lex Hilliard. This is difficult because my opinion is obviously biased. I am trying to look at his roster spot objectivley. He will come at a very cheap price. He is versitile enough to play 2 positions, and is one of our best special teams players..One of those guys that you have to have to fill out an entire team. His production is not in yards or TD's but the unsung "dirty work" coaches appreciate.
This said..I wouldn't be shocked if Lex was not re-signed. It is a tough year for free-agent running backs. Lex isn't a top tier-even second tier player. So IMO his best opportunity to stay on a roster may be with Miami. Philbins system uses a fullback a little differently then the Phins did last year. And Lex is a good pass catcher. Something that may be a bonus for him sticking around.
