The Miami Dolphins today named Blue Adams as assistant defensive backs coach, Charlie Bullen as defensive assistant, Ben Johnson as offensive assistant, Chris Mosley as assistant offensive line coach and also retained running backs coach Jeff Nixon, thus completing coach Joe Philbin’s staff for the upcoming season.
None of the new hires today were coaching in the NFL last year and only Mosely has experience coaching in the NFL at all. My favorite of today's new hires? Adams, of course. He graduated from Miami High in 1997. I graduated from Miami High in 1980.
Seriously, a quick glance at the Dolphins entire coaching staff suggests very little NFL experience is on staff. Eleven of the coaches are NFL rookie coaches in the jobs they are currently charged with doing with the Dolphins, including Philbin, who is a first-time NFL head coach.

LOL at Big Bambu, I used the large album sized paper a few times, though with no stick-um at the end the paper burned uneven, a real bummer at the time when it was 3 am in the morning.

I understand your points....and I see why you choose to look @ the staff the way you do.....
I...however.....choose to see the glass as half full....these are guys TARGETED by Philbin.....not last ditch attempts.....
Philbin has been doing this a while.....20+ years I believe......his coaching circle extends beyond LSU, AL, AU......and many other of th defacto schools.....
Philbin is thinking outside of the box....while @ the same time giving himself the opportunity to start his own coaching tree....
Philbin went secure on offense....with the proven Sherman....he went younger on D.....with the hungry Coyle.......another tenured position coach who was CHOMPING @THE BIT....for a promotion......
Sherman has already made it know that he wants to be a HC again....soon.....so unlike HENNING.....he will be ready to show the league what he is capable of...
Conversely....if Ben Johnson....wants the position in a year or 2 when Sherman leaves....he will need to be on his stuff.....it's a WIN-WIN......
Last thing Fin4Life......we need FUNDAMENTALS guys on our staff......that is a +.....not a minus...when is the last time we had a fundamentally sound football team......
Linebackers always taking bad angles...
DBs.....always out of position...or dropping the easy pick....
If these lesser know coaches get us back to the fundamentals....then I'm all for it....

Who would you rather have and why.....
What would the Fin4Life staff look like.....
And if you can't hire all Div 1A coaches....would you just tell Mr. Ross that you can't do the job....then resign......
My point is....bashing this staff for ANY REASON..... at this stage in the games ludicrous......the next Belicheat or parcels may be on this staff....as much as people LOVE to bash Cam Cameron.....he has left us....and went to the PLAYOFFS every year since as part of the ravens staff.....so even if we have the nextCam Cameron hidden away.....and that would be fine too.....
WE ALL thought Parcells was bringing us chicken salad.....we NOW know it was chicken_______.........
Let's give these guys a shot.....maybe a year or two before we proclaim them omnipotent.....or incompetent......

Lets be real, a whole new coaching staff with very little nfl experience. They have to learn to work together still. On top of that a whole new offense and defense and what can we realistically expect in 2012? Not a winning season.

9'ers did it in a crap division. we did it without Brady. The Raiders did it with the same staff, only oc promoted to coach, and bucs did it with Dungy's D. And those teams all went straight down the toilet after. Those were exceptions, rare at that. Also those teams had qb's, we don't and probably won't. Flynn is a joke. The best we can do is Moore and Henne would be a better back up that junk Losman.
