Dolphins at Osweiler pro day PLUS private workout coming

I'm not a big Brock Osweiler proponent. He reminds me of Dan McGwire who was a good college quarterback but never made it in the pros. I guess you can understand the comparison because Osweiler, at 6-foot-7 and 242 pounds, is built like McGwire.

The Dolphins, however, are doing their homework and that work includes the former Arizona State quarterback. Nothing against the kid, but I don't like his mechanics, I don't necessarily love his mobility and his accuracy is inconsistent.

Oswelier has been addressing his mechanics since the end of the college season.

"It's more over-the-top now," Osweiler said of a revamped throwing motion. "I was kind of always dragging my elbow when I was playing here at ASU, and we really wanted to utilize my full 6-7 frame, or whatever it is, and make sure the arm and delivery is over-the-top."

Osweiler, who seems like a third-round talent to me, will go on multiple private workouts for several NFL franchises including the Dolphins.

"I'm meeting with the Chiefs and the Broncos next week and I'm taking trips to Miami and Buffalo and a few other places," he said.

During his workout today -- attended by Dolphins brass, including general manager Jeff Ireland -- Osweiler competed 66 of 75 passes with seven overthrows and one dropped pass, according to ASUDevils.com.

REDSKY IS ONR IOF MY FAVORITE POSTERS HERE.................

ALOCO, I LUV U TOO MAN!

In my fantasy scenario I'm going straight up BPA in the 1st. I would hope for Blackmon or Coples. Then, if not, I would even consider Kuechley the middle linebacker at 8.

In the 2nd round I would **TRY** to get my Right Tackle.

To address the QB position I would pull an Ireland/Daniel Thomas type of trade up with my two 3rd rounders. I would try to package them, move up into the end of the 2nd round and Cousins.

Odin -- Why not just go ahead and take Cousin with the 2 round pick and take a guy like Schwartz, Potter or if Massie slips grab 1 of those guys in the third? Then we also grab best available WR like Toon with the other thrird.

I would hate to trade away both those thirds for Cousins when we could have already had him.

Ooops, the upper part of that post was from Odin.

I am getting ready to do a 3rd draft scenario on my site. If you click on my name it will link you to the site.

What I would like to do is get enough people together to do a consensus 2 round draft. Might take a couple hours but could be done. We could first list a few players that we think the team will take then do a vote and that will be the person they take for each team.

Will it be Sun Sentinel, Miami Herald or new to the Hard Core Bloggers Palm Beach Post?

Home how did your field trip to the beauty salon go?
Did you really get that facial you always talk about?
and you got your nails painted pink?

Good job Homette.

Homette reports that she wants to be called Hometta instead.

So be it!

Hi Hometta!

just sign michael floyd with the 1st.....lamar miller with the 2nd....and take tommy streeter with one of the 3rd picks....its time for miami to stop kicking field goals and score some "TOUCHDOWNS"....please !!

Philbin will learn more this year as a hc than sparano learned in four.
Posted by: Sammo | April 01, 2012 at 04:14 PM

.

That could be true because as of now he KNOWS NOTHING!

He watched mccarthy who is currently one of the best hc's around si philbin already has an idea of what to do while sparano was too stubborn to learn. Philbin can also talk to current dolphins about how to avoid sparano type failure.

Test

Test, again! Shyt!

Sammo, I think I agree with you re Sparano v Philbin!

That is true about Philbin, Sammo. Then again look who we are comparing him against(Sparano)

Osweiler has been invited to NY to sit in the green room at Radio City music hall on draft day?? They say his workout shot him that far up the charts. His old College OC put together a workout that included a variety of risky throws which apparently really impressed everybody. Good luck to him if he goes to NY for the draft with only 15 career starts he has less experience than Tannehill. These two were considered late 2nd to mid-round picks and now there talking Tannehill out of reach for Miami without a trade up from 8th overall and Osweiler is being invited to sit in the green room on draft day??

Sparano isn't an ideal comparison by any means but he is all I had to work with. I think philbin is already the better coach without even being on the miami sideline yet. Im excited that our offense is finally going to get halftime adjustments( if needed that is).

Where'e gigi's fat ass peach ?

These guys are being hyped up because qb's generate attention. After griffen and luck not really any attention grabers left. I remember quinn getting constant camera time till he finally got grabbed up by the brownies. Clausen was the worst tho. Every other pick kiper and co. kept predicting he was getting picked up just to get passed bye. When carolina finally came up they proclaimed it was jimmy clausen territory and look how that turned out. Its all about getting fans hyped up.

Sammo I guess you are right about the hype. Philbin seems better prepared and more articulate than Sparano. Anyways, I am outta here. Take care Sammo

He would be an asset for the team specially that he has a 6-7 frame that will be utilized by the team at its full potential. But, he still needs to do workouts to be pro and he needs to learn a lot for the game and the whole team and work with them in accord.
