Getting Flynn at right price as important as getting him

The question today is apparently not whether the Dolphins will try to sign Matt Flynn. It seems if the team gets a chance to sign the Green Bay free agent backup quarterback, that is exactly what will happen.

No, the question I believe more important is not whether the Dolphins will try to sign Flynn but how they'll try to sign Flynn. It's a completely different issue and definitely as important an issue.

Flynn, according to a reliable source, will be in town sometime late tonight. He'll be here, assuming he doesn't get blown away by the Seattle Seahawks and simply jumps at the opportunity. But once he arrives, then what?

What to do with Flynn?

Do the Dolphins commit to Flynn as their starter or do they commit to him as, ahem, a quarterback who will come to camp and compete with Matt Moore for the starting job. In other words, do the Dolphins commit starting quarterback money or do they commit the kind of money a player who has a chance to start but isn't certain of that typically gets?

If the Dolphins are committing to Flynn as their starter, they may have to spend between $7-$9 million per season. The deal would probably extend past two years and there would be a chunky bag of guaranteed money included.

The lesser commitment is obviously cheaper -- probably $4-$5 million per year with incentive clauses that would hike the deal's worth if Flynn wins the starting job, thus deserving more money. This kind of deal protects the team if he fails.

Me?

Flynn is worth one but definitely not the other. He is a value if signing a deal that protects the team in case he's more A.J. Feeley than Drew Brees. He still gets paid if he becomes a star. But he has to earn his money rather than getting it the minute he walks in the locker room.

Makes sense, right?

The problem is Flynn wants to maximize his earning. He will want the biggest deal he can get, certainly his agent will want that. And because he's got two quarterback-hungry teams talking to him, he might be able to leverage one versus the other to get what he wants.

(Personally, I don't see the Seahawks letting themselves be held up. They paid Travaris Jackson a two-year deal worth $8 million last season. I assume if they offer Flynn, it'll be a similar deal and ask him to fight for the starting job. I say this because you must remember Flynn was not Seattle's top QB choice this offseason. They actually scheduled Chad Henne to come to town before Flynn. Henne never made it because he signed with Jacksonville.)

Well, the Dolphins can similarly make the case that Flynn is not their top choice. At least I hope they make that case. Everyone knows they wanted Peyton Manning. And I assume they aren't going to use the money on Flynn that they would have used on Manning.

At least I hope not because that's just dumb.

I guess what I'm asking is for the Dolphins to hold their desperation in check. Getting Flynn simply isn't like getting Manning. We don't even know if he's any good.

With Flynn it's not just about getting him to come. As a relatively unproven player, he has to come at the right price -- for the team.

Ted,

If I'm on the wrong side of a person who believes Chad Henne (excuse me, BLAINE GABBERT'S BACKUP) will one day be a star in the NFL, then that's EXACTLY where I want to be.

Here the dolphins go again, going into a gunfight carrying a knife.

And what is this peyton manning is a band aid nonsense? He's a year older than Brady. Is Brady a band aid?

We lost out on manning purr and simply because Ross and Ireland are incompetent.

"We know we need a franchise qb, we are not stupid" Steve - o Ross, offseason 2012.

Instead of building from scratch with rg3 or making a push with a decent supporting cast with manning, we get a tiny noodle armed 7th round pick, two third round picks, and a nickel back. And we lose one of our few pro bowlers in his prime.

Miami dolphins, stupid perhaps, definitely incompetent.

Hey....let's give this thing a chance!

If the Jets can do a one year turnaround so can the Fins!

Jets sucked in 07'& 08', then they hire 'Fat Boy' and draft Sanchez then...wholly crap they make the playoffs and make it to the AFC Championship Game!

Here we are, coming off a crappy season with a new Head Coach and new QB...hmmmm.

Can't believe guys are still talking about Henne and how he would have been better than Moore last year. As a former backer of Henne, I say to some of these people, SEEK HELP!.....call somebody! Make inquirires in your local area. It wasn't working here....was never going to. Repeat ten times....break for 30 secs and then repeat again ten times.

As for Flynn, I guess I'm Ok with this AT THE RIGHT PRICE. But I have to say, I don't think this is the way to go. To me it reminds me of the competition between Fiedler and the other guy who ended up going to the Pats. We're doing the same thing here. People will say these guys will push each other etc....I don't see it. Ulimately one guy will start and the other will be unhappy and eventually one guy will be shipped out of town for a 5th or a 7th. The preferred plam, I think, would be to go with Moore and draft a QB. I'd go with Weeden myself. I think he's good value where we can get him. I know he's not a kid but I like that plan better. Going this way will just alienate Moore and I'm not convinced that Flynn will be a difference maker. WR should be the new priority.

Moore is a back up at best? Poppycock. IF it wasnt for Moore Maimi would be signing Luck. Moore is a good starting QB who NEEDs a good starting OLmen. Its very hard to throw TDs when concussed. Try it.,,,,

Advantage to Flynn since he alredy knows the system that Miami will run. Sign Flynn try to move down in the 1st round to pick up an additional 2nd rounder and draft a QB.

Good morning guys and Happy Friday,

I have said all along that Matt Flynn is the right fit for what Philbin is trying to build here. He knows the offense Philbin wants to run, he knows the play calls, check downs and has the quick release and accuracy for a WC QB. I assume is arm strength is so-so but go read Peter King's article on SI.com it is a very good write up in Flynn. Flynn makes a great point that you only take a few shots a game down field and that arm strength is no where near as valuable as accuracy.

I did also say just like Armando is saying now that it should be at the right price. I hope Flynn see's the value in playing for Philbin being that he has developed him thus far and has gotten him to play very well when given the chance. Flynn is ONLY 26 and a 4 year deal for around $20 million is about right for a guy like him. He has shown he is capable of playing at a high level but hasn't had the opportunity to show he can do it over an entire season. A 4 year deal also means he will be 30 and will still have the big pay day in his future while having the chance to be as successful as possible reuniting with Joe Philbin.

If Philbin thinks he can win with Flynn then I trust that he can. Philbin is a rookie Head Coach and would not risk his career on someone he thought was just ok. Philbin knows Flynn better then anyone and that gives Philbin an edge no other team has.

Let's go Flynn!

Mark,

I totally agree with your thinking. The only thing I don't agree on is you being against getting rid of Marshall. I'm fine with that. You don't want to get left 'holding the bag when the bomb goes off' (wasn't that a game we played as kids). That's Marshall. He's probably OK now for a year or two but the clock has reset again on this guy and it will go off again. Who knows how nad next time.

I'm fine with the move, AS LONG AS they ass quality in the draft. F*ck this idea of adding WR in the 3rd and 4th round. Go draft one of the studs....I'll be pissed if they go the acorn route again trying to find WRs. Tired of the Patrick Turner type moves. It's Blackmon or Moore or worst case Hill

Tony T., we may need to connect. You're in Md., I'm in DC, and our friend Kris is in Va. What this offseason so far has proven to me is we are in dire need, all over the country, of a Miami Dolphin fan support group. I imagine they'll be sprouting up all over. Soldiers (like the guy in Afghanistan) have PTSD and deal with stress in harmful and destructive ways. That war has gone on a decade. About as long as our battle actually. Our battle to enjoy watching our football team.

So that we don't end up doing something crazy and ruining our lives, I'm recommending to all fans that you round up a support group of your own. It looks like it will get worse before it gets better (if you can believe it can even get any worse).

Good luck to us all!

I'm kind of missing Fiedler. He went to what, 2-3 Playoffs. Back to back (or just a couple years apart). Ohhh, those were the days.

Top O the mornin' to you all!

Do find it the least bit coincidental that a lad with an Irish last name like "Flynn" who played for the GREEN Bay Packers will be coming to visit us on St. Patrick's Day? Perhaps a little Irish luck will pan out after all ...

I like this video of Flynn vs. Patriots: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_C8F0cWvAfo The lad shows promise!

Easy for you to say, pal, but few of us can resist the brilliance of a Peyton Manning on our Team.

Hey DC....

Cheer u...we re-signed STEVE SLATON to a one year deal...

You remember what a intergral part of the Offence he was last year right????

Score one for the FINS...

Cheer up...

Andy,

I'm sure this all making you very happy. Looks like you're getting your guy. I sent you a post yesterday saying Peter King is REALLY sold on Flynn. Had him as his FIFTH most attractive FA. If I was you I'd be scared because King is HORRIBLE when it comes to predictions. I remember when he highly touted the Florida QB who played in Washington when Spurrier was there. Touted him as 'the next star' and 'grab him in FF'. He was a HUGE flop and was out of the league in a couple of years.

You have to admit Andy, this smacks of a fallback and as a team that doesn't want to get stuck without a QB. I'm not real sold on it but I'll support Flynn all the same if he comes here.

Hate to be the pessimist (strange role for me), this team has a LOT of work to do. The Bills, with the Williams move, have passed us in the standings. They are the only team right now who can challenge Pats for the division. Long off season left but we are far behind the others.

Toronto,

What's up man? Im not bashing you but how do you know Flynn has a noodle arm? We all know that Pennington was a noodle arm or as that jackal Chris Carter calls him a water pistol arm.

Go youtube Flynn highlights he seems to have much more arm strenght then people are giving him credit for. He is not Big Ben or Vick but he has plenty velocity on his balls and all his balls are put where his receivers can catch and run. The receivers don't break stride once except on the under thrown Jordy Nelson ball but watch his 40 yards threw the air pass to James Jones it was perfect!

PFT is talking a bunch of crap about the Dolphins again.........I swear those idiots are Patriots fans, looking for whatever way they can make us look bad. Must be friends with Chris Berman

Has anybody thought that we've had so many different QB that maybe Matt Flynn can be that miracle one that can lead us to the Superbowl. Flynn may be the QB that will take the Dolphins back to the promiseland (superbowl) just maybe lady luck is on our side and we possibly have our Pro Bowl QB Anybody??

THE BEST QB IN THIS YEARS FREE AGENCY WENT TO JAX.

DC...

In all seriousness....

I think that Philbin will have a better grasp of how to use the talent he has....remember....Sporano didn't even know who the best QB was on his roster....or the best RB....or how to properly use that RB....we have some 3rd year WRs who NEVER got on the feild...and they haven't been cut YET...so perhaps JOE KNOWS best....

I think we will be OK.....

Craig, I can see the other side of the coin with Marshall too but I just don't see any value in two third round picks. Sure, clearing up cap space is fine too but for who? A nickel back and matt Flynn? Big whoop. And I just don't see them drafting a wide receiver in the first. We won't get blackmon or Floyd, probably not even Jeffrey. At best we can hope for Tommy streeter.

Its a colossal clusterfuck of an offseason, way more upsetting than the regular season. This team doesn't draft or sign players that impact the passing game significantly. We keep doing the same stupid things over and over.

Reading an above commentary, none of us should expect playoffs this year. Too many Coaching changes and therefore systems to be learned by the Players. Perhaps a better record, and considering our supposedly weak schedule, 10-6. How about that?

Guys, hate on me for liking Henne's talent. there are a lot more people in the league who think it also. I wish him well with the Jags, and I think he will win that starting job. the era with Miami is over, thank god for the sake of my sanity and this blog.

Now on to our current situation. Matt Moore. We are in trouble. You can put lipstick on a hippie, but they still smell like patchouli. Matt Moore is still nothing more than a good relief guy. could he be a starter? I guess. A hippie CAN become a BLACK METAL die hard. Just not likley to happen.

Matt Flynn... still brings some opportunity. However, again, not sure how compfortable I feel with that as a solution.

So the question is. what moves with the cap room we have are the smartest considering we probably are going to have a guy at QB that will need a lot of time and really good weapons to win 5 games... After all Flynn was playing with A LOT of weapons when in GB.

Andy...agree with you, go watch some youtube on Flynn, the guy hit Jordy in stride with a 40yrd rope!
I actually watched his entire 1st start against the Pats.
They obviously kept it relatively vanilla with a lot of underneath routes and quick dump offs to the RB out of the backfield.
But it was his "accuracy" and "footwork" that impressed me most.
I caught myself saying "if that was Henne, he would have been sacked", instead Flynn does a nice slide to the left and hits the WR for a 1st down.

He is not Brady or Rothlisbeger launching 60yd bombs, but that is not a big part of a West Coast Offense.

Duuuuuhhhhhh!!!!
Armando, do you think we are all in kindergarten?

Andy,

I hope you're right about this guy but I fear we'll be having a conversation this year where we're sitting at 3-5 and we've committed to this guy and we're going nowhere. Hope I'm wrong....it just seems like what's going to happen.

What do you do if this team struggles again this year and we're again staring at the need for QB in the draft next year. See my biggest fear (and I read it in Mark's post too) is I think Flynn gets to AVERAGE. AVERAGE doesn't get us anywhere. AVERAGE gets us to 7-9, 8-8, too far away from drafting a top tier QB AGAIN. To me nothing changes until we get that top tier QB and to me, FLynn's not that guy. So for me, it's more years of mediocrity and average seasons.

We'll talk more down the road Andy....

Who's Flynn going to throw to,please don't say Blackmon,he had a few good games in school and that alone does'nt make him worthy of a 1st rd pick.

Is Wallace still out there?
I still have questions about Flynn.

Poizen, I guess you believe a strong arm equate to "talented".

Remember that Cleaveland game were the Dolphins got a great return to maybe the 40 yard line and Henne had to just move us 20 or 25 yards down the field for a FG to win or tie, and he couldnt do it. The guy stinks man. 20 yards and he couldnt do it. As a matter of fact I remember no 4th quarter comebacks Henne led.

One game clue, I can give you one game to look at a Henne is a pro-bowler, keep it in perspective.

Andy, I hope Flynn is the guy that bucks the trend for this team. A lucky catch, lightning in a bottle.

Now over a year ago I typed on this blog a write up, followed by a similar one by mando a few months later on how most of the qbs in this league are first round talents. Sure there are a few that arent- about one third at the time. My frustration is this team keeps trying to do things the hard way, the one third route versus the overwhelming trend. When you fight the trend, you're bound to hit more failure than success. That's why we suck, that's why Seattle sucks. And that's why we are two of the last three teams in the league with no answer at qb. A team bound to stay in football pergatory. This team just doesn't learn.

You may say Flynn knows the system but so did cassel when he went to kc. And so far what has kc got for that pick in cassel, a qb who's case mirrors matt Flynn's very closely. One decent season of three and they wanted to replace him

I hate that signing Flynn will possibly keep this team from placing the proper investment in the position for another two or three years, just like fiddler and henne undeservedly did.

This approach just plain sucks man!!!

Mark,

You may well be right. The only thing I see the third round picks as being is extra bargaining chips for Ireland. I could be wrong and I could be giving the guy too much credit (maybe it's just hope) but I'm hoping he's going to use those picks as bargaining chips to get another first round pick or even another second. I agree that it's not the team's philosophy to draft first round game changers but that has to change. Hopefully he sees the need as the rest of us do. To me it's the biggest need we now have (besides franchise QB, of course) and he needs to address it. We probably need TWO WRs to be honest.

I for one am very happy that chump chad isn't on Our team anymore.
Matt Flynn is the best fit for Our current roster.Cause Matt Moore is a back-up.A back-up qb folks.Just like ineffectual henne will be for the rest of his NFL career.

The goal of the West Coast Offense is to get the ball off quickly into the hands of your playmakers.

It requires a QB with very fast decision-making abilities and a very accurate arm.

Flynn scored 38 on the Wonderlick test(very high) and has a 63% completion rate.

Bush, Clay, Thomas, Bess, Hartline & Fasano can all do damage after getting the ball off a quick seam route...Lets not forget we do have a deep threat in Gates and our other young stud WR, Wallace.

Flynn will thrive in this offense!

I agree...

HENNE SUCKS....I DON'T WISH HIM LUCK.....

As a matter of FACT.....I WISH HIM ALL THE BAD LUCK IN THE WORLD...BARRING AN INJURY OF COURSE....but I hope he continues to suck in his JOB...just like he did in MIAMI...

To hope that Henne succueeds now is pointless....and if your sole reason for someone wanting Henne to succeed is to say "I TOLD YOU SO"...on a blog....

well...i got to tell you....thats a pretty bad reason....

if you are a dolphan, right now you are as directionless as dolphins brass, what do we do, who do we sign? with greenbay or new england as the model(teams loaded with offensive talent), a MATT CASTLE can look as good as a tom brady, the chiefs paid a lot of money to sign castle only to find out how inept they were at reciever, an expensive lesson. likewise, in greenbay, MATT FLYNN can look as good as an aron rodgers, miami should NOT be dooped into this kansas city logic, there are two different paths to take, miami, today, is at a fork in the road and the path that would have taken us to a franchise QB that could impose his will upon the offense, making an average offense look great is now closed. the path HAS been decided by elimination, miami MUST accept the fact that they do NOT have a franchise QB, nor are any available to sign and thus must put all of it's resources into surrounding the QB position with as much premium talent as possible, and then hope that this offense is as good as a greenbay's, one that has the ability to pad a deficiency at QB. how does a GREAT team become GREAT?.. (answer)- by signing GREAT players, and now that a GREAT QB can NOT be signed ROSS should focus on signing GREAT players to improove the offense. if not now, then when???? can philbin put this type of offense together? can he assemble an offense that resembles greenbay, one that can make an aron rodgers look unbeatable and matt flynn look every bit the same? can we cut some AVERAGE players to sign GREAT ones? can a MIKE WALLACE actually play for miami, can we put an exclamation point on that and sign a michael floyd to boot, can we for once have a COMPLETE and dominating O-LINE that can hold the pocket for our mystery QB, by signing the top freeagent right-tackle? if not now, then when? as of today, miami has done nothing, in fact they went backwards(releasing brandon marshall), how tall is MATT FLYNN?, why are fans saying he has a weak arm?

It is true that we have a BIG hole in our WR corp. I wonder who they will pick to substitute for Marshall. Have to be 2 of them.

Guys I'm going to write down all the guys who are saying 'Flynn is the answer'. When it's week 5 and you've turned on this guy, we can look back and say 'what went wrong'?

Tomorrow is ST. Patrick's Day. I'm guessing Flynn's background os Irish. If the deal gets done tomorrow, hopefully it's lucky for us.

What up Kris.I don't wish chump chad good or bad.
My wish already became a reality.INEFFECTUAL HENNE IS OFF OUR ROSTER!

Guys...we will address our WR issue in the upcoming draft...which is LOADED with WR talent.

We'd better hope Manning goes to Tennessee because if he signs with Denver you just know this idiot will bring in Tebow. You can see this coming a mile high away.

Craig...can we also put down your name as a Flynn detractor so when we start 4-1 we can thumb you in the eye?

Craig,

I will believe it when I see it but if he signs then yes I got my way. This is absolutely a fallback plan but a there is no shame in being the second option behind Peyton Manning. Even Flynn is being realistic about that. Bringing in Flynn as a guy who knows the system and has been groomed by the same exact coach he had previously is a perfect set up for Miami.

Peyton gave all Miami fans false hope that ONCE again that we was only 1 player away and then could become instant Super Bowl contenders. Signing Peyton would have made us playoff contenders and that's it. Miami is still far from a Super Bowl contender with their lack of play makers. Peyton is not a band aid for say Tennessee or AZ because they have legitimate star players in Chris Johnson and Fitzgerald. All Miami could offer is an unreliable Marshall who is good but not great and Reggie who is good but not great.

Miami and Philbin are taking a new approach and I am in the complete minority I like the process so far. They didn't over pay to keep Soliai or sign Richard Marshall and both will contribute. Build through the draft and find FA that fit. There is no need to over pay just because other teams are foolishly doing so. Did New England, GB, Pittsburgh, Baltimore make a splash yet? No because they build the right way and sign the FA's when they do decide to sign them.

Buffalo did the right thing for them but it wouldn't be the right thing for Miami. Paying $100 M for Mario Williams a very good player but not a game changer like everyone is making him out to be. He has 2 seasons out of 6 where has over double digit sacks and he is not a game changer as in forcing fumbles, he has 11 in 6 seasons. For the Bills it sends the right signal to players on FA market that Buffalo takes care of players and will pay them. It says they are trying to win. For a team like Miami it says we just killed our cap space and over paid big time for a very good but not great player.

Poizen, Are you kidding me? There were plenty of games he stunk it up. What game did he look like a pro bowler? The padded stats he had against the weak Pats defense, who were playing so vanilla.

OK FANS WE MUST MOVE ON FROM THE PAST.

THE GOOD AND BAD.

WE MUST LEAVE IT ALL BEHIND.

IF YOU're LOOKING BACK YOU CAN'T LOOK FORWARD.

WE NEED TO STOP LOOKING AT DAN HE 's GONE.

HENNE IS GONE.

BRANDON IS GONE.

WHO ELSE IS OWN THE TEAM?

Kris,

It has nothing to do with what you're suggesting. Some of us think he was sunk before he ever got a chance in Miami. I'm not sure what the point is to wish him bad luck.....because he didn't play well here? I actually think he was misused and received some bad coaching here. I hope he goes on to have a good career. We can argue about it all day but I still think the kid has talent...it just was never going to work out here.....good luck to him!

Guys I'm going to write down all the guys who are saying 'Flynn is the answer'. When it's week 5 and you've turned on this guy, we can look back and say 'what went wrong'?

Posted by: Craig M | March 16, 2012 at 10:02 AM

Sure, that is your game, gloat when others are wrong. You are the one wrong more than anybody.

And you're right Kris.Just like Craig M wants to tell everyone "I told you so".Well here's one for you Craig M.WE F UCKING TOLD YOU THAT CHUMP CHAD WAS A FRAUD.So there.By the way did FedEx overnight your henne jag jersey? Cause I hear them knocking at door.Don't trip while running towards it!

Kris, honestly, I HOPE and PRAY you're right.

But, I think Craig is right here, if we don't get Winston, looks like we'll have a lineman 1st-rd pick FOUR out of FIVE years. Is that a winning recipe (doesn't seem to be if you use the past as prologue)?

This looks like Spring Cleaning to me. I think they want to dump all the excess off the team (not sure why Y. Bell is still here), and go through next Season and see what happens, and then re-tool next year. Not sure why'd they'd waste a perfectly good Season, but, I'm not in the FO.

I'll give them all the rope they need (just hope they don't hang themselves with it).

Thanks again Ross because this one is ALL YOU. It is becoming more and more apparent that you do not mind dragging this teams's pride to the ground at expense of your childlike stubbornness.

Out of the four teams in the Manning sweepstakes we were the ugly chick I guess, the least desirable one. We, and the entire world knew two or even three days ago we were out and could have saved some face and pull out of the race you POS and return some dignity to this franchise.

In the process we could have already signed Flynn at a bottom price before letting him going to Seattle where if things went great it will only drive the price up. I think I'm giving Ireland a pass here, I think both him and Philbin did not want Manning, this one is all Ross. We could too have signed Winston by now. Pathetic.

Craig M....

Add me to the FLYNN ROSTER....If he is signed...then he gets my FULL support until he proves he is underserving....

Just as Henne did...and all those before him....

So Marino had to be called in to have Manning at least meet with the coach. OK I have supported this FO, but they knew all along that they were not going to get manning, the only spin left is that they can drive down Flynn's price. No way does seattle spend 7-10 million on him.

Guys I'm going to write down all the guys who are saying 'Flynn is the answer'. When it's week 5 and you've turned on this guy, we can look back and say 'what went wrong'?

Posted by: Craig M | March 16, 2012 at 10:02 AM

Seriously? Write down names? Get a life!

NH, were you joking when you said Roberto Wallace is a stud WR? I hope so.

Put me down as a dolphin fan, I want them to win. Philbin is worth 2-3 more wins than Tony, so 8-8 would be nice this year.

Please add my name to john s. 8-8 would be a Playoff year with this "current" roster.

Guys I'm going to write down all the guys who are saying 'Flynn is the answer'. When it's week 5 and you've turned on this guy, we can look back and say 'what went wrong'?

Posted by: Craig M | March 16, 2012 at 10:02 AM

What a moron, get a hooker or something

ozkar,

Funny man!...you got somebody writing those lines for you? Listen, Henne got his time to show what he could do...no excuses. He couldn't cut it. I just wanted him to get a fair shake, minus Henne...so I'm satisfied.

NHFINSFAN, yep put me down as someone saying this isn't the way to go. Flynn won't lead us to the playoffs. It's just delaying the inevitable, which is, we NEED to draft a first round QB. Hope I'm wrong and I'll be the first to admit it when I am. Flynn's comes here,I'll cheer him like everyone else and hope it works out but this isn't the way I would have gone.

Guys I'm going to write down all the guys who are saying 'Flynn is the answer'. When it's week 5 and you've turned on this guy, we can look back and say 'what went wrong'?

You love when others are wrong, but just remember that never makes you right.

The going rate should be the 6.75 million for two years that our Chad got with the Jaguars.

I know the season hasn't even started yet....but here is s touch of good news....

Little mike...frome mike and MIKE (ESPN)....belives his jets are the 4th best team in the AFC EAST....and he is a die hard jets fan....

Do you think that Sporano as OC has anything to do with his low hopes for his team...
