The Dolphins open a three-day rookie mini-camp today along with eight other teams. Practice is at 2:30 p.m. and I'd expect approximately 40 rookie draft picks, signed undrafted free agents and tryout players to be on the field.
The Dolphins have not yet released their list of signed UDFAs and definitely haven't confirmed their tryouts, such as former University of Miami quarterback Jacory Harris, who is expected to attend.
But below is a rudimentary working list of some of the players Miami is expected to host today through Sunday. The signees and some tryouts:
Signee Trenton Hughes, DL, Maryland
Signee Shelly Lyons, OLB, Arizona State
Signee Jarrell Root, DE, Boise St
Signee Josh Samuda, OL, UMass
Signee Jacquies Smith, DE, Missouri
Signee Jonas Gray, RB, Notre Dame
Signee Derrick Shelby, DE, Utah
Signee Derek Moye, WR, Penn State
Signee Kelcie McCray, S, Arkansas State
Signee Kevyn Scott, CB, Syracuse
Signee Jeff Fuller, WR, Texas A&M
Signee Alex Alecxih, DT, Pittsburgh
Signee Derrick Dennis, OG, Temple
Signee Terence Brown, C, BYU
Signee Dustin Waldron, OT, Portland State
Signee Cameron Collins, ILB, Oregon State
Tryout Myron Johnson, S, Arkansas Tech
Tryout Jacory Harris, QB, Miami
I'll have updates before and after practice so come back throughout the day.

I don't have a blog, it is a forum. :)

Jacory Harris over throws the sh** outta of a go route to I believe Derrick Moye by about 20 yards. Terrible!
Harris throws low and Lamar Miller does his best to get low and make the catch but traps it on a 10 yard in rt.
Harris holy crap throws ball over white guy 88 head on a 10 yard out to the sideline. Ball hits the fence.
Harris completes his first ball to Fuller on a 10 yard curl right in the numbers.
Harris completes nice post to #8 small black guy with braids.

Troll,
My tax bracket probably places me somewhere in the middle class, not low class.......just an FYI :)

Basically the only difference between a forum and a blog is that registered users in a forum can write their own topics and let other registered users comment on it. On a blog generally the owner writes and people comment about the topic.
So as of Bee's last comment Tannehill is 3 for 2.
Posted by: Texas_Dolfan | May 04, 2012 at 03:24 PM
Just playin around Ohio. Not sure why you're attacked so much.
Posted by: Texas_Dolfan | May 04, 2012 at 03:25 PM
Tannehill was not a real #8 pick. He would've been a 4th rder last year and a 3rd rder this year if Barkley and Landry Jones came out. I agree the Fins had to draft him but he lost 6 games as a senior. If he started NFL this year we lose 13-14 games and would be in line for Barkley. Plus it could ruin his confidence and career. No reason to rush him the way Moore has performed.

I guess Ryan is too good to workout immediately. They already hiding his mediocrity.
Posted by: I'm Sick of this team | May 04, 2012 at 03:27 PM
With that logic Burger then John Elway should have been a 4th rounder. He lost 7 games as a sr.
Posted by: Texas_Dolfan | May 04, 2012 at 03:28 PM
If I were Ryan, I would be at every practice just to show leadership.
I guess that's a skill he hasn't learned yet.
Posted by: I'm Sick of this team | May 04, 2012 at 03:29 PM
I mean really, how would it look if UNDRAFTED players are pick sixing Ryan's mediocre butt?
Posted by: I'm Sick of this team | May 04, 2012 at 03:30 PM
It's all pretty much the same guy Texas......he's just extremely infatuated with me and my site.
Posted by: Ohio Dolfan | May 04, 2012 at 03:31 PM
and now he'll post under several names attacking me to make himself look like a "mob" lol
It's a sad reenactment over and over again
Posted by: Ohio Dolfan | May 04, 2012 at 03:32 PM
Why not put your #8 pick up against UNDRAFTED players? He should look like a superstar compared to them right?
Point being this...
Even the undrafted players aren't getting a fair shot under Ireland's system. He should be evaluating Tannehill against UNDRAFTED players.
How in the heck can UNDRAFTED players compete if they are not up against the #8 pick in the draft?
They already HIDING Tannehill.

Yeah, that's why you are here every day. So I guess you are sick of yourself too, like us.
Posted by: orb | May 04, 2012 at 03:37 PM
Ohio,
Its Oscar attacking you. Remember, the same guy you admited toyour site and promptly began attacking me?
Oscar will use a screen name to praise you, then use another to incessantly attack you. But you dont have to believe me. LOL
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone | May 04, 2012 at 03:37 PM
...I can't say if Tannehill will be ready to go or not. We just never know. My gut instinct says that he isn't close today. I can only go by what I have seen. This is by addmitance limited, and at this point irrelevant to his status as a starter week 1. Nothing he did at A&M matters now.
But since this is the only information any of us has to go off. I find it hard to believe that in a real compitition that Tannehill will win the starting job. Even if a "draw" between competitors gives the tie to the runner. All of the question marks I had before the draft haven't changed much. The only real advantage I see is his familirity with the playbook..
I don't care that he was the 8th pick. I just want to see the Phins get this one right. If he has to sit for a year we should be understanding. To me Tannehill was the 8th pick because of his potential. If it was because of his acomplishments alone..He would have been buried in the mid rounds..

YG,
What are your thoughts on Jonathan Martin?
Posted by: Ohio Dolfan | May 04, 2012 at 03:38 PM
I have complete confidence that both Philbin & Sherman will place talent on the depth chart at the WR position.
Posted by: NHFINSFAN | May 04, 2012 at 08:40 AM
=======================================================
LOL!!! Complete confidence? Work with me on this one. Are you saying you would risk your own "significant other's life" on Philbin and Sherman doing the right thing?
You sir, are naive. Any fan who puts complete confidence in an unknown commodity and proven failed commodity is naive.
Posted by: I'm Sick of this team | May 04, 2012 at 03:39 PM
PS: I love how i was the one that posed the Tannehill starting question earlier that developed into this hour long FOOTBALL talk on this blog........but the trolls trys to claim I hurt this blog, lol
I get football convos started all the time in here....I digress

..@3:34...That was the most confusing post I have ever read..Not sure where you are going there?
Posted by: Darryl Dunphy | May 04, 2012 at 03:42 PM
I'm sure most of you folks are old enough to appreciate this.
What 23 year old is a leader of anything?
Maybe Ireland can mentor Ryan on leadership while he takes the day off from rookie mini camp. You know, things like asking grown men if their mother turns tricks.
Posted by: I'm Sick of this team | May 04, 2012 at 03:44 PM
FYI...no one gets fired because they are good at what they do.
Posted by: I'm Sick of this team | May 04, 2012 at 03:46 PM
The only way Tannehill starts is if the coaches are complete idiots.
Posted by: TGH | May 04, 2012 at 03:47 PM
@3:44... Sorry guys, that was my two year old playing around with the computer again. Won't happen again.

Its a lot easier to fing a RT than great RG. But we couldnt get Tannehill and DeCastro too.
2nd rd, I believe may have come down to Cordy Glen(2nd best OG in the draft) vs Jonathan Martin. I believe Martin won out for several reasons:
1. He had a 1st rd grade, plus would have still been a great selection even if we needed him to play LT.
2. RT was still a need position. So with Martin available I believe Ireland saw no harm in "overdrafting our RT needs".
3. Cordy Glenn was just what he was labeled, 2nd best OG in the draft. There was still a substantial drop off between he and DeCastro.
So as far as our oline needs, Martin was clearly bpa over Cordy Glenn(OG). Martin's also great insurance if Long goes down to injury. He's now the best LT option on the team, not named Jake Long.

Ohio,
2 things.
First, go pat yourself on the back & feed your ego somewhere else. Your arrogance is nauseating.
Second, have your head examined if you think only 1 person is trolling you.
If one was to look up Naive in the dictionary, your picture would be the definition with no text required.
Sincerly,
Not Fyi, JFYI, Verdad or anyone else
Posted by: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SHUT UP! | May 04, 2012 at 03:52 PM
Cordy was picked right before us by Buffalo.
Posted by: orb | May 04, 2012 at 03:53 PM
The only way Tannehill starts is if the coaches don't have a say in the matter.
Which is what I suspected from draft day.
Posted by: Ross makes me sick | May 04, 2012 at 03:54 PM
orb,
Guess that just cemented Martin as bpa for our oline needs.
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone | May 04, 2012 at 03:55 PM
This just in. Ryan's wife intercepted the controller while he was playing Madden 2012 instead of working out with his team mates.
Posted by: Ryan will bust....100% sure | May 04, 2012 at 03:57 PM
..@3:50...That is great. But since you are the omnipotent one. Please explain the nonesense scribbled @ 3:34.
Posted by: Darryl Dunphy | May 04, 2012 at 03:58 PM
Fact is, whether some dolfans liked it or not, oline had to be addressed within the 1st 2 picks of our draft to ensure us to have a day one starter. The need was far too great to risk another Jerry, Donald Thomas, or Sean Murphy type pick.
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone | May 04, 2012 at 03:58 PM
my post disaapeared.

Guess not, now its uo @ 3:58 PM. LOL
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone | May 04, 2012 at 04:00 PM
@3:58
Please explain why Ryan is too good to attend rookie mini camp and lead this team from day one?
Posted by: Ryan is HOF because he is a Bust | May 04, 2012 at 04:01 PM
Kind of sucks when another poster asks your opinion on something, then you go thru the trouble to reply, and they never have a further comment about it. How 'bout that Ohio? LOL
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone | May 04, 2012 at 04:05 PM
This just in. Ross builds the first ever NFL Hall of Shame. First inductee will be Ryan Timothy Tannehill.
His number will be retired along the likes of Chad Henne.
Posted by: Ryan is HOF because he is a Bust | May 04, 2012 at 04:06 PM
IMO, if you dont have time to answer a poster, you also didnt have time to ask a question of him. Guess you live and learn. I just learned. LOL
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone | May 04, 2012 at 04:06 PM
LOL!!! You folks telling me some of these guys won't make the team? And that Ryan shouldn't be there establishing relationships from day one?
LOL!!! Excellent front office we have in Miami.

Im begining to believe like the troll attacking you. Except, I dont believe youre any longer coming here to recruit bloggers, you're coming here to recruit and steal ideas for your blog. I will no longer be contributing in direct responses to you.

...RIHBHIB.. Do you know for fact that Tannehill will be absent for the whole period of this camp? Where was it reported he was absent today(I hadn't heard this).

I can read. Can you read? Scroll up and read those names.

tannehill wife is just blonde,,,but not hot,,,look closer, big forehead,,long skinny feet, and no body definition what so ever, but maybe after a pay check or two,,,all of that will change.

Ryan won't practice until Ross pays him. That's insurance because even Ryan knows he sucks.

If you'd say something interesting and engaging, YG, I might respond more often. I don't live on here, but check in several times a day. "Signee Alex Alecxih, DT, Pittsburgh"
Mando, that last name has to be a misprint!
Unpronounceable.
