Don't count your Chads yet; Ross to chat with season ticket holders

David Neal standing in for Armando Salguero, who will return from vacation, I promise.

As the rumors fly about that Liberty City native Chad Ochocinco will sign with the Dolphins -- helped by a pseudo-Adam Schefter Twitter account tweeting that and Ochocinco's fiancee allegedly on TV saying he'll sign here -- an assessment from an NFL scout questions whether he'll be signing with anybody.

The scout said Ochocinco seems to have lost his explosiveness and, without that, doesn't bring enough to the table to justify the veteran minimum he'll make.

Obviously, that assessment gets changed if there's something seriously wrong with wide receiver Brian Hartline, who isn't at today's OTA, and Ochocinco shows decently at his workout for the Dolphins. But I'm hearing Hartline has just a minor injury.

Second round draft pick Jonathan Martin is at his first OTA today.

ROSS ON CONFERENCE CALL

Dolphins owner Stephen Ross will have a conference call with season ticket holders tonight at 7 p.m. And that's all I'm going to say about that for now.

So OchoCinco couldnt even make the Pats roster but he’ll be the #1 receiver on the crap Dolphins! LMFAO!!

Yo Ross/Ireland, you cant build a winner on other teams castoffs. And a bad diva receiver? Should never have dumped Da Beast.

The Dolphins didnt want a pro bowl diva receiver in Marshall but they’re looking at a crap diva receiver in Ochocinco? WTF? Ross is just being a CHEAP SOB and will never produce a winner…

The Dolphins should take a lesson from the Heat and stop being so darn cheap.

You same d@ckwads who are complaining about 58 would be the same ones complaining if the Fins did not check him out.

Have an interesting life!

"Dolphins owner Stephen Ross will have a conference call with season ticket holders tonight at 7 p.m" - This is good stuff - talk about listening to the fans. I'm impressed.

"Obviously, that assessment gets changed if there's something seriously wrong with wide receiver Brian Hartline, who isn't at today's OTA, and Ochocinco shows decently at his workout for the Dolphins. But I'm hearing Hartline has just a minor injury."

Heaven forbid something should happen to Hartline right??? I mean where would this team be without a guy who caught 35 passes & 1 TD last year???

Even if Hartline's injury IS serious the idea to even consider Chad is ridiculous. The guy is done & he's a nuisance.

Relax, It's just a workout. Ocho wont make the team, He isn't explosive any more.

Ireland is leaving every stone unturned, looking for acorns.

Any interest I had in 8-5 has everything to do with him being a physical threat to defenses. If he doesn't have the speed, explosiveness, or whatever that made him special anymore, then he won't draw coverage, and won't open the field for anyone else. He'll be just another guy in receiver pads lining up who brings nothing to game-plan for.

PASS.

Yawn!

Come on Man look you are a Cubans or from Boston , but not from MIAMI Florida,Whom The F WR NOW CHEAP and STILL GOOD MIAMI can GET,you!, I dont THINK SO ,The besr DECOY and BECAUSE HE has a BIG mouse, not make HIM like Others BUCH REjected WRs that are real criminals and got LAW problems, BUT OCHO CINCO can BRING MORE to A Young TEAM That he not scare to get HIT, MAY BE MIAMI GOT a LOT of HATERS that come from NY or BOSTON and retired in MIAMI, GIVE a BREAK I see 10-6 and Maybe TIED or Win With the Jet and BOSTON not this year , they are going down and BAD, everything going up will go DOWN also < But Not be hater How and Where you can get a 2005 Cadillact for FREE. and use for you luxury. Chad is good invest.

Camilo is right I see 10-6 season with our schedule too!!! This team needs to SWEEP the junk jets, sweep the jills & at least beat the patsies once but we have a favorable schedule with or with out ochostinko!!! We don't need the diva headache!!! GO FINS!!!

Lets bring in Brian Bosworth while we're at it.

How about taking a deep breath and relax, its way to early to worry about this guy Ocho, he will do good are they won't sign him, relax and watch the Heat tomorrow night. Bill

If the dullfins can get him at the wright price why not. The dullfins are too cheap to sign anyone that hasn't been cut by another team and in their mid 30's. They are a disgrace to even be in the NFL,they need to move to the CFL, thats where they get most of their players anyway. They are a JOKE!!!!

U guys that say we are Cheap are so fing stupid if we are so cheap how cone we have salary cap problems? Do you bozos realize this isn't the NBA where all you get for going over is luxury tax? It's a hard cap which means you can't exceed it. (go above for you morons how don't know the meaning of it)... To those of u that can't understand that... You only have five dollars on you no credit cards or anything else like that... You want gas a pack of gum and a soda... The soda and the gas clean pretty much clean you out... You only have a buck and change left... (what the dolphins have in a smaller scale all be it...) you want this excellent new gum out but it costs 2 bucks... So you have to settle for the lesser gum...

Cause you can't spend any more than what you actually have... Math .000001

I can't even call that remedial math... So please stop with all this BS that the PHINS are cheap! Its ludicrous (not just a rapper but an actual word... Look it up in a dictionary ((if you actually know what one of those are ((( which by the way can't hate on that this new generation probably has never seen a dictionary. Hell I haven't used one in about 10 years cause of the Internet.)))))) but I digress hope you all that keep on saying something about the PHINS being cheap learned something from my dumbed down explanation... If not may what ever you do or don't believe in help you...
