Ochocinco gets 85; Mahaffey gets a spot; Moye gets cut

Any questions?

The Dolphins announced this morning that Chad Ochocinco will wear No. 85, which had been worn by rookie Rishard Matthews previously this spring. I don't know if there was any money, goods or services exchanged, but I think you kind of get buffalo'ed out of your number when you're a seventh-round pick who hasn't made an NFL roster yet.

The Dolphins also signed fullback Ryan Mahaffey, roster filler for Indianapolis last season after they got him off Baltimore's practice squad. The franchise waived undrafted rookie free agent wide receiver Derek Moye. Save your money, guys.

If ya cant make the Patriots roster ya can always start for the Dullfins.

1. What do Dolphins players think of being on "Hard Knocks?" “I wasn’t too thrilled to tell you the truth,” tight end Anthony Fasano said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. ”I think we were informed at a team meeting, and there were a lot of groans when it was announced"

Coalition,

Please stop faking me at 11:31 - 2:30 and above at 3:16.

You "SAY" you don't want me here, but your "ACTIONS" tell the true story.

We can see your "MAIN" problem. It's called "Self Acceptance".

You know the FIRST STEP you need to take.

Come out, Come out where ever you are ;)

So, the Dolphins held a free melanoma screening day
today at Sun Life but why dont they move into the new Marlins Park(domed) so their fans dont get melanoma from sitting in that hot sun?

Coalition,

You don't have to fake me dude(again above at 3:31).

You can "Come Out" and be YOURSELF ;)

Just think about it Coalition. Wouldn't it just be ALL PEACHY KEEN?

He wants the expensive surgery.

He works his butt(and knee caps)off.

Then spends all the money on Meth.

What a conundrum the poor sissy has gotten himself into.

Forget the surgeries Blog Hit Troll and Come on Out!

Odinseye (the person who doesn't post here anymore aside frome when he's constantly posting here):

Just how many years (and/or decades) has it been since you had any semblance of an actual life? Are you a shut in or something?

Only cause you keep faking me closet boy.

This is about you and your "Prison Cell" more commonly known as **THE CLOSET**.

JUST WONDER your way on out ;)

If you cant make the dolphins roster, at least you can make the jets pitiful roster... Hell you can take a 6-10 coach that cant coach and doesn't know how to win a game too ..LOL

PS: FORGET the surgery Bro.

Just wondering your way out of that closet will be so much cheaper.

CHRIST! Think of all the Meth you can smoke!

How can someone not see the positives about the dolphins ... 6-3 to close out the season. We beat the jets and made them not make the playoffs that was positive wasnt it? .. heck at least we are a better team than them .. we should at least be the second best team in the AFC east .. wild card team ... the Jets have gotten worse ..Tony Sparano knows how to lose games , we should beat them twice this year, the schedule is a cake walk .. we shouldn't have a problem making the playoffs this year.

Nothing positive about losing our best player off a 6-10 team. YIKES!

The only thing positive is we're gonna stink again.

Ross/Ireland/Philbin are the least respected FO in the NFL for good reason. None of them have done chit at their current jobs.

Hey, I got an idea!!!

Let's keep posting the worst things we can possibly say about the team all day and all night until we find some sucker to get all angry about it! Yes! A wise use of our time.

Here's a shoutout to Derek Moye, who Im surprised wasnt even drafted and had to be signed as a free agent off the street. Im in Penn State country and a fan, and Moye always found a way to get open for whoever his QB was. My understanding is that Moye, along with some of the other rookies in camp, was not exhibiting great hands. That was not a problem of his in college. I was psyched actually that the Dolphins gave him a look. Its a shame he couldnt hold on to a spot with the team. Good luck Derek!

Uhh, maybe they didnt overdose on kool aid.

Odin is DA BOMB! Really Odin HATERS, you don't know the man.

I dont believe Vince Lombardi could win if he had an

Ireland as a GM, so what chance does a Sparano or

Philbin have?

I doubt this team could beat any college team. It is really a disgrace. Worst players, coaches and owner in all of pro sports.

Odin,Odin,Odin..., Please leave.
PLEASE.

PLEASE somebody ask me what I think of the Boy Wonder.

PS: If you do ask, please be clear about which opinion you prefer.

A. The Homer-ized Fan opinion?

OR

B. The objective sane and sober opinion?

LOL, Odinstank, When would you ever be able to do a "SOBER" Opinion?
Your Drunk 24/7,365 days a year, I mean COME ON MAN.

Armando your article just keep getting worse....this was poorly written. My 12 year old son could have written a better article.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY WE ARE NOT AFTER BRAYLON EDWARDS

Sure Sam, a guy with all that potential, couldn't be a #1 in Cleveland, couldn't be a #2 with the Jets and couldn't be a #3 in San Fran. How many more chances do you want to give the guy? And why US? At this point in his career (and where the team is) he's a bad fit. We need young guys that can develop with the system, and that's why I was against the Ochocinco signing as well.

Wanted to respond to inimounts yesterday. While I agree Moore won't ever get this team to where it needs to be (SB), I do think he's got SOME potential, and might be the best choice for this year. Starting Tannehill on a rebuild year to me is a waste. We're in no rush here (we haven't won a Playoff game in over a decade, so what's another year or 2. I don't want to GET to the Playoffs, I want to WIN Playoff games. That will take time). So there's Moore and Garrard. I think they should have an honest competition, and the best player should start.

But, secondly, I think you dismissed a lot of what Moore did last year. Sure, he went 6-6, but he went 6-3 down the stretch (and came in cold, in a Season he just got to the team, with no camp, etc.). So I give him a pass on at least 1-2 of those first games he lost. When he got in, he turned the offense into something I haven't seen in Miami in a long time (exciting at times). He took chances, had big plays, and was aggressive. And this was in a SPARANO offense, which does NONE OF THOSE THINGS. I blame Sparano much more than Moore as far as the offense's woes. Also, you said the oline was good (helped Bush have his best year of his career). Dude, absolutely 100% WRONG way to view things. Check the stats, that was one of the worst olines in the league. They were like 4 or 5 in giving up sacks (and pressures). Moore was running for his life. Bush had his best year because he came to a RUNNING team, from a PASSING team. Are you kidding me, why run with Bush when you have Brees and all those Saints weapons?

And that's the rub. Moore really hasn't been given much of a chance in the NFL to date (besides last year). No team loved him enough to really groom him. Really, THIS will probably be his best chance of his career. That might motivate the guy to make the most of it. I don't think he can get MUCH better, but I've been wrong about him before. Maybe he can, in a more aggressive offense (if he can be more accurate in his throws). Also, I don't think we need to see Tannehill this year to grab a QB next year if we're in position to get a potential great one. Good teams take what comes to them. If we're that bad this year, and in position to get one of the top QBs next year, there's nothing saying we shoudln't do that. All it takes is the GM having balls, and understanding QB is the most important position in football, and that having 2 elite QBs on your team is a good problem to have.

So, to wrap up, I think Moore deserves a chance. And I hope he makes the most of it (otherwise, he'll be on a downward trajectory in his career).

All i am saying if if we are going to take a chance i would take a chance on Braylon not Chad , Braylon is closer to his best year ( 2007 16 touchdowns ) and having something to prove is more realistic to Edwards than Chad , chad's entertainment value is higher than his football abilities in my opinion I have been a fan since I was 8 I just want us to do good this year and ross and ireland are making our success optional

We should never have traded Marshall. Ireland thought he was getting suspended and panicked.

There we agree sam, I'd rather have seen us sign Braylon than Chad.

Don Shula would never have OK'd Hard Knocks. He was all about winning where Ross is all about the money!!!!!!

LV has posted the over/under at 30 days until Coalition is found face down/butt up in Meth Alley.

Don't know about the rest of you, but I'm cashing in on the UNDER!

Cha-CHING!!!!

Well, Ross isnt doing too good with the money. Dolphin ticket sales are at a 44 year low.

Howdy. My name is oscar canosa and if you don't impersonate me I will be glad to join the live-blog commentaries for tonight's Game.

btw, odin, I have been reading your posts here and you should be careful. I'm pretty sure there are plenty of pretty rough guys here that have done 100x the things you have claimed to have done and don't believe shyt of what you write. I know those guys are mad at you and if you ever come to Miami keep your back to the wall.

So Oscar, what you're saying is that many down there are just like my impostor above at 4:33. Fvcking Big Time Fee-AGGS - LOL!

It's funny he mentions Freud while impostoring me and then attacks in the same way he says a Closet Queen would. We don't need Freud to see where his lips get buttered, heh, heh ;)

Now go get yo Knee Pads and get dat Meth Money!

You GO........Bu-oy!!!!

BTW Oscar,

Can't live blog the game with you tonight.

I'm hosting a Party.

We're putting the game on one TV and PPV-ing SmackDown on the other.

I'm not really a Smackdown fan, but one of my Buddies is. He's got a smoking hot Daughter and she likes to come over and Party we do this.

What can I say? I play the odds. I don't care what it takes to get her here, as long as she gets here ;)

OK.

I like to teach.

John Jerry is another Irescum bust.

again we beat the Jets and stopped them from going to the playoffs ... POSITIVE... no kool-aid there!.. we got rid of Mr. "lets kick a field goal everytime" POSITIVE THERE! We have a better coach with a proven record ... POSITIVE! All you Jet fan HATERS can go screw a duck .. we will whoop you again this year :)

LOL At Odinstink, Dude, you could;'nt get laid in a 5 dollar Ho House with a fistful of fiftys.
What a Dolt.

It seems to me that Chad Ochocinco is the best available free agent wide receiver to beef up a not extraordinarily good receiving corps in Miami... so I dont like the alternative to sign Ochocinco, at the present time. Whether or not Moss should have been signed 4-5 months ago is really irrelevant at this point. Right now I just hope they will get Ryan Tannehill signed soon, so that he is ready for trainingcamp.

We have a better coach with a proven record ... POSITIVE!

A proven record? REALLY? Just like Cam Cameron? YIKES YOU ARE SO STUPID!

I see Coalition was still alive at 3:39 this morning.

He thought he won the over/under because he had one guy over him and another under him at the same time. Now THAT is TRULY "Dolt-Worthy".

HEY? After you Die and win me my money, maybe they'll have an episode for you on the ID Channel.

Wait, what am I thinking? Nobody cares about the Meth Alley Drag Queens.

Whatever, if you decide suicide is best, just make sure you go out the way you lived: Face Down and Butt Up!

Get Me My Money Ho!

Philbin has already proved at the 1st rookie tryouts and practices he is NOTHING like Cameron. Totally different personality, with a complete different offensive mindset.

Some fans are as excited about Philbin as they were about Cameron.

Ok wait, let me think of some new way to trash the team. I'm just trying so hard to get somebody mad.

Dont feed the kool aid homers.

Why wouldn't peopel be excited, we wanted an offensive exciting team, that is what you think a o-coord would bring. Cameron however came from a very bland offensive philosophy, philbin is coming from the record setting GB offense. And they had no running back... So the only comparison of Cameron and Philbin is they were both o-coords, that is about the only similarity you can make.

Not getting Fisher was a disasterous blow to the franchise. Settling for a 4th novice NFL HC in a row is very depressing to Fin fans.

Odin, that is true, but that does not mean we are doomed with Philbin. All good head coaches we know today were once a O or D coordinator at one time. Keep that in mind.

I am not sure we can say disasterous blow, it is not like we are going from contender to pretender because we did not get Fisher. It just means we still have uncertainty. things can still work out though... We are in wait and see mode on Philbin.

Poizen

Man you bite on everything! That ain't odin. That is one of the few bloggers with 19 names that intentionally trash the team all day looking to get someone riled up.

You keep biting on their bait!

The QB situation could be worse. I think the 3 guys battling will play some good football.

We have a better coach with a proven record ... POSITIVE!
