You know Ryan Tannehill will start at quarterback tonight. You know we have a live blog starting at the 8:07 kickoff. Do you know the inactives? Do you know Tannehill is not the only significant rookie starting his first game for Miami?
Let's get caught up:
Cameron Wake (back), Karlos Dansby (knee), Kevin Burnett (back), Eric Steinbach (knee), David Garrard (knee), Tony McDaniel (leg), Jonas Gray (knee), Brian Hartline (calf), and Kelcie McCray (foot) are out.
Rookie Olivier Vernon starts for Wake. Gary Guyton and Jason Trusnik start for Dansby and Burnett.
Interestingly, Artis Hicks is scheduled to play. He missed a couple of days of practice with an unknown injury. So much for the much expected competition between him and Steinbach.

Nice Throw to Wallace from Tannehill. 12 YDS.

It's like they said, learn on the field now.
Posted by: inimounts | August 17, 2012 at 08:59 PM
U said it kwazy
Posted by: inimounts | August 17, 2012 at 09:00 PM
Tannehill playing well, O-Line sucks, can't create a lane for the run at all. Defense can't defend the run after a solid year in 2011.
Posted by: Bob | August 17, 2012 at 09:00 PM
That was Marion Moore.
Posted by: kwazy | August 17, 2012 at 09:00 PM
Tanneman making his case now. Moore? Hahaha
Posted by: kwazy | August 17, 2012 at 09:00 PM
nice pass tanny
Posted by: dslong | August 17, 2012 at 09:00 PM
Lane interests me. When he was on he was a beast at a and m
Posted by: inimounts | August 17, 2012 at 09:00 PM
Why all these pissant comments. support the team while it is rebuilding. The team is young and its the second preseason. Get off the whining.
Posted by: Spillmar | August 17, 2012 at 09:00 PM
Nice long drive, nice clutch throws.
Posted by: kwazy | August 17, 2012 at 09:01 PM
1-15 if Tannehill starts
Posted by: jeff | August 17, 2012 at 09:01 PM
What?!?! Fasano is not a good tight end! He may have played for bad teams but high octane off
Posted by: inimounts | August 17, 2012 at 09:01 PM
YEAH!!! Pat White.
Posted by: Miami Joisey | August 17, 2012 at 09:01 PM
Daniel Thomas bruises in for a TD
Posted by: kwazy | August 17, 2012 at 09:01 PM
Tannehill can throw for 9,000 yards and we'll still suck with this defense.
Posted by: Dolph | August 17, 2012 at 09:01 PM
Javorski lane could be a better polite and that's saying something
Posted by: inimounts | August 17, 2012 at 09:01 PM
Line coach and WR coach need to motivate. Sherman needs to be more creative. Touchdown !!!
Posted by: Spillmar | August 17, 2012 at 09:02 PM
And you were not ready for radio Armando.
Posted by: ltcdolphin | August 17, 2012 at 09:02 PM
I couldn't disagree with that play more. Td? So what, it's preseason. Nfl is all about stats, and tannehill deserved to get a td, he needed it, the team needed it, and to not give it to him is sickening.
Posted by: inimounts | August 17, 2012 at 09:02 PM
After a poor start, Ryan Tannehill gets the team in the end zone. Good job.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 17, 2012 at 09:02 PM
WAAAAAAAA!!!
LETS PUT MOORE IN!!
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
TROLLS!!!
Posted by: PoWhitetrash | August 17, 2012 at 09:03 PM
Nice drive by Tanny
Posted by: Jason | August 17, 2012 at 09:03 PM
Bootleg should score here.

Officials REALLY do make a difference huh?!
Posted by: Dolph | August 17, 2012 at 09:03 PM
1-15 if Tannehill starts
Posted by: jeff | August 17, 2012 at 09:01 PM
0-16 if he doesn't.
Posted by: Carlos | August 17, 2012 at 09:03 PM
Defense is young and missing captains and ts leading pass rusher. Criticism is out of context.
Posted by: Spillmar | August 17, 2012 at 09:03 PM
But when it's all said and done, it will not show in his stats like it should, and everyone will forget this was ryan's drive. I bet he hated making that playcall.
Posted by: inimounts | August 17, 2012 at 09:03 PM
Tanneman looks so much more promising than Moore. They are fools not to just start him and get him experience. He can handle it.
Posted by: kwazy | August 17, 2012 at 09:03 PM
Geeze-a-mighty!! Freakin effing JET fans have infiltrated this blog again!! Dang I hate y'all!! And for the few true fans with this much negativity, y the hell don't u leave the team? Please please please!! Y subject yourselves to this?!?!?
Posted by: robbyhernz | August 17, 2012 at 09:04 PM
he rook looked pretty good. very much in control and you can't teach that arm. he throws tight spiraling bullets. is it me or does thomas look a lot bigger this season??
Posted by: jaison | August 17, 2012 at 09:04 PM
Jeff is a troll. Or Matt moores wife. Just ignore him.
Posted by: inimounts | August 17, 2012 at 09:04 PM
T-Hill needs a FAST receiver to throw to with that cannon of an arm. It'd be ideal if Gates could Develop some what. I think Hartline will thrive in this offense once he gets healthy. But they def need another guy in there
Posted by: Jon | August 17, 2012 at 09:04 PM
Tanne with a nice drive
He'll be fine
Now we need to upgrade the right side of the O line, the receivers, tight ends, linebackers, safeties and defensive line
Posted by: 72perfectstill | August 17, 2012 at 09:04 PM
itczdolphin, when I want your opinion I'll give it to you.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | August 17, 2012 at 09:04 PM
It shouldn't be Ankleweights Wallace. It should be Stonehands Wallace.
Bess wasn't Down.
T-$izzle completed a couple of them 3rd down throws. Give him Time. The one thing u can't say is T-hill doesn't get better everytime on the field.
Moore should lead a Comeback in the 2nd half if he wants to be in the Conversation. He will be going against 2nd and 3rd string. Plus it's his old Team.
Posted by: Dashi | August 17, 2012 at 09:05 PM
We've come close in the past, but this is the year the Fins go 0-16, folks. Truly sad.
Posted by: Soothsayer123 | August 17, 2012 at 09:05 PM
Well, if we only play 2nd stringers, this team is good for a Super Bowl!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | August 17, 2012 at 09:05 PM
Is there a place online to watch the game, can anyone help please?
Posted by: chino | August 17, 2012 at 09:05 PM
And on the rollouts, I knew tannehill was fast, but damn.
Any chance we will look at Jordan Shipley? Word is cincy is just too stacked at WR so that's why and he's efficient when healthy
Posted by: inimounts | August 17, 2012 at 09:05 PM
Hi PoWhite Trash; been a while. As last year I am with you brother. Bunch of whining trolls who expect to see the whole package in a preseason game. True, depth ain't there, but this is a better team than last year, except for WR corp, but the verdict is still out on the young ones.
Posted by: Spillmar | August 17, 2012 at 09:06 PM
I think its safe to say Tannehill aint ready.
Posted by: Marino 13 | August 17, 2012 at 09:06 PM
Why are they always showing the Panthers Coach and not the Joe philbin ???
Posted by: victor newman | August 17, 2012 at 09:06 PM
I don't know what the future holds here for Ryan Tannehill, but this is one thing I do know, he is much better than Chad Henne.
Posted by: bigtrav1 | August 17, 2012 at 09:06 PM
1-15 if Tannehill starts
Posted by: jeff | August 17, 2012 at 09:01 PM

You Tannehill haters are total idiots. I love it that you are so freakin miserable. You'll be the first ones jumping on the bandwagon when he's a winner. Get used to it. He's the future..... morons.

Shipleys coming off a torn ACL. If I were Ireland, I'd slit my wrist. Just kidding. But no, I'd claim him and put him on the pub list, see how he comes along.
