Dolphins coach Joe Philbin said he didn't know what Reggie Bush's status is and the running back had already left the locker room when the media was allowed in following today's 23-20 overtime loss to the Jets.
But a source tells me the injury to Bush's left knee is not season-threatening.
In fact, Bush initially expected to go back into today's game but then the knee stiffened on him. Bush will go for a re-check Monday to make sure nothing is wrong beyond the minor damage that caused the stiffness.
He should be OK.
[UPDATE: Bush had an MRI Monday morning. He has no major issues. He may miss some practice time but he could be available as early as Sunday's game at Arizona. He should be 100 percent within a week.]

Good news on a bad day

whew....
cause we looked HORRIBLE when he left the game....you can tell who the leader of our "O" is...
Posted by: Kris | September 23, 2012 at 06:08 PM
Every highlight I see of a kicker making an FG over 40 yards is depressing :( just saw the Eagles make a 46 yarder down the middle, and moments earlier saw Prater (DEN) make a 53 yarder down the middle...sucks man

yeah carpenter is garbage along with sherman

Now, For some real insight.
Who was the Leading Rusher Today? D. Thomas(69yds)
2nd? Bush(61yds)
Oh and 3rd? J.Lane (48 yds)
We got 185 yds on the Ground on 43 carries!!!
The Jets didn't have 1 player over 45 yds and only got 88 yds as a Team.
T-hill was going against a Better Secondary and he Still completed a higher Pct% than the JETS.
Also, Where do U get T-hill is inaccurate. For a guy to only have 19 college starts. He completed a High PCT% in College. 61% and it goes as high as 67% if u take away the Drops in College. Right Now as a Rookie he is completing 58%. Not Bad for a Rookie!!!
Weeden is at 52%
Luck is at 56%
RG3 is at 66%
and Wilson is at 61%
Compared to a 4 year starter like sanchez(53%)
-------------------------------------------------------
And to the Clown still comparing Long and M.RYan 5 years later!!!!!! Give it up!!!!
Ur telling Dashi u would rather have M.Ryan than T-Hill. Honestly!!!
Give T-Hill some Weapons. Or 4 ProBowlers like M.Ryan!!!

--------------------------------------------------------
Dashi....
were are you getting theses stats.....
the jets had one play that went 70 yards...the one were Clemons got frozen like a statue....
and in 2 of the 3 FAMES Tanne completed less than 50% of his passes...TEXANS and jets.....and he might have been hovering around 50% for the raiders game....
LINK PLEASE.....

How happy is Mike Nolan he left this cespool? LOL

http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/14876/ryan-tannehill
The above LINK has Tanne @ 57% BEFORE the jets game...i HIGHLY doubt it went up after this game...
not with a 16 of 36 performance...
Posted by: Kris | September 23, 2012 at 06:16 PM
Ryan Tannehill runs the "Prevent" offense LOL
Posted by: Dink% | September 23, 2012 at 06:16 PM
Was Tannehills QB rating higher then his age?
Posted by: Just Wondering | September 23, 2012 at 06:18 PM
OH...
and Dashi.....
there is no such thing as "Taking away the drops".....
Posted by: Kris | September 23, 2012 at 06:18 PM
Armando, please do us a favor and go write for the Jets. Philbin has no explaining to do. This is how you media think: hey that Ryan guy is a genius by calling a TO and 'icing' the kicker and that Philbin has some explaining to do for doing the same in the exact situation, He called it before the snap, TV showed how he even turned around and didnt even see the next 5 secs. this loss can be explained as simple as our stupid kicker having not one but 2 chances to make a fg and missed both...

Kris those are the rushing Stats look at the Box Score.
And I don't know how U Count but Tell me if Dashi is Wrong.
Vs. Houston 20 of 36 (55%)
Vs. Raiders 18 of 30 (60%)
vs. Jets 16 of 36 (44%)
so that's twice over 55%
Get ur facts straight.
Dashi doesn't talk to just talk like Most People.

KRIS,,,,,,,,
DO YOU STILL BELIEVE WE WILL WIN 11 GAMES THIS SEASON AS YOU PROMISED ALL OF US 2 WEEKS AGO ?
Posted by: ALoco | September 23, 2012 at 06:25 PM
JETS WON THE GAME B/C THEY HAVE A BETTER COACHING STAFF ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Posted by: ALoco | September 23, 2012 at 06:26 PM
Hey As*Clown,
DASHI SAID IT FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE SEASON
"THIS IS AN EVALUATION SEASON"
Wins and Losses are not that Important
Dashi knows it's hard for ur simple mind to understand. But Mr.3000 is right. Great Game and then look at the positive. We will get a higher Pick.
Isn't that what U fans want??
The Fins to go 4-12 and FIRE IRELAND????
Don't get U guys.
SORRY FOR DASHI BEING THE MOST OPTIMISTIC FIN FAN!!!!!!!
(OH YEAH COALITION DASHI WENT THERE)
Posted by: Dashi (MHM I BE) | September 23, 2012 at 06:27 PM
@aloco Jets won because they have a better kicker
Posted by: Arturo | September 23, 2012 at 06:27 PM
We just got some bad breaks today, we should ask just move on just like the team should do, we will beat them next time, don't satisfy the wets by dwelling on it

COST
Posted by: ALoco | September 23, 2012 at 06:32 PM
I didnt know the Dolphins signed Ray Finkle mid week. Im never comfortable when Carp comes on for 40+ yards. I hope the calls are already out for a new kicker
Posted by: dolfan29 | September 23, 2012 at 06:33 PM
15 losses.
Posted by: We Can Do It | September 23, 2012 at 06:33 PM
I liked the play on that Hartline pass interference when Tannehill knew the guy encroached and he took a free shot down the field cause he knew he had one, 5 yard penalty led to a 30+ yard penalty. Nice to see a rookie QB notice that.
Posted by: MiamiD20 | September 23, 2012 at 06:34 PM
Sorry chief you know who you are your bold 24-3 prediction in favor of the Dolphins turned out to be ludicrous.Fans the 3rd down play right before the punt will be overlooked but led to Bushs departure from the game.
Posted by: jose mesa | September 23, 2012 at 06:35 PM
Kris,
Dashi doesn't want to sound like a Prick.
But UR COMPARING A 70 yd Slant to RUSHING STATS!!!!
WHAT DID THE JETS DO RUNNING THE BALL!!!!!
33 carries for 88 YDS!!!!! 2.7Yds avg.
Now what happen to Armando's pregame that the JETS run D will hold the DOlphins run game down!!!! U know the #2 Rushing Attack, Probably #1 after this Week!!!
Hmm, anyone say anything about that how Both our Running Game and Passing Game are ranked a lot Higher this Year. Even with Marsha Gone. We have the Top Ground Game in the NFL. And T-hill moves the Football enough that we can be at least a Top 15 Offense this Year.
Even the Defense is Playing Statistically better. Even the Horrendous Pass D. Weren't we 32nd Last Year? Now We are in the Mid 20's with No Vontae. and Our Rush D is #2.
Posted by: Dashi (MHM I BE) | September 23, 2012 at 06:35 PM
If Im alowed to talk about wagering on here $250 that the Dolphins will not win not 11 but not even 10 games.

Posted by: ALoco | September 23, 2012 at 06:39 PM
@miamid20 i liked the play action in OT with the double move by hartline...cromartie still has no idea what happened there
the loss hurts but there are some really good positives. RT seems to keep improving while showing flashes that make me think he could be the one; Bush is having a break out year, Martin is solid in RT giving us a top 5 line, the D looks ok although still needs work in the secondary.
Posted by: Arturo | September 23, 2012 at 06:39 PM
Im mad because I said they would win 11 games. Now I dont think they will so Im gonna blame Tannehill. Its his fault Im an idiot.
Posted by: Kris | September 23, 2012 at 06:40 PM
Its amazing the diFferece betwen making and missing a field goal can make..... Miami really should of won this game... Carpenter is finished in my book... This as a very painful loss ......... How can Carpenter miss that I could of made it and I havent kicked in years......

Sparano got his revenge. Should've fired Ireland and kept Sparano.
Posted by: Ross is Clueless | September 23, 2012 at 06:44 PM
Dashi will admit 24-3.
OK and UR POINT BEING. That Was DASHI'S OPINION.
ALSO READ ABOVE CLOWN.
WHO IS THE MOST OPTIMISTIC HOMER? Dashi!!!!
Also it Should've been 24-3!!!!!!!
Take away the Pick 6(Which Fasano Slips) and Carpenter MAkes his FG's? And What's the Score.
Yes Kris, Dashi knows this is all hypothetical. But we Should've Won 24-3!!!
OK next week Dashi will be More Realistic. Just don't expect The Dashi to Say we will lose a Game until it happens.
Even thoug Dashi has the Fins going 9-7. I will not bet for DASHI'S TEAM TO LOSE BEFORE A GAME!!!!
Dashi just won't bet on my Team that Week!
Dashi's like Trick Daddy(Those Who know the line know What Dashi is talking About)!!
P.S. Next Week 17-14 Dolphins!!!
Yes, Arizona looks for real, but we have a Shot!!!

Maybe is very optimistic!
Posted by: redsky | September 23, 2012 at 06:45 PM
ALOCO....
I stick will my 11 wins....until we lose 6 games....
by my count we haven't yet....
Posted by: Kris | September 23, 2012 at 06:45 PM
Cheapo Ross doesnt deserve to win. We could've used Brandon Marshall today.
Posted by: Harmel | September 23, 2012 at 06:47 PM
11 losses is more realistic!
Posted by: redsky | September 23, 2012 at 06:47 PM
Can we PLEASE fire Ireland now?
Posted by: Zonk | September 23, 2012 at 06:48 PM
Miami Dolphins without Reggie Bush is like the Miami Heat without James,Wade and Bosh.
Where is the depth and draft picks?
Posted by: JackSparrow | September 23, 2012 at 06:48 PM
Ireland has bad Karma. What goes around comes around.
Posted by: Zonk | September 23, 2012 at 06:49 PM
Can't believe I haven't read one person blaming this loss on Ireland. After all, isn't he the guy who added Carpenter and wasn't Carpenter a FA? Why are we spending our first round pick on a kicker? I'm mean come on!!....
What's that?.....you only get one first round pick a year and it's not wise to use a first on a kicker? Oh, OK.....forget what I said.
But somehow it still must have been Ireland's fault Carpenter missed the kick, no? What about the Philbin timeout? Can we blame that on Ireland?
Posted by: Craig M | September 23, 2012 at 06:49 PM
Same Website Kris
Or if u want u can go to NFL.com
Ur taking 1 stat? Ok My bad they all aren't 100% Accurate. Will add the other guys stats also.
But Didn't Dashi Give u the Pass Breakdown for the Season. Didn't Thill complete over 55% of his passes in 2 out of 3 Games?
Just Saying.

Craig M = Jet fan
Posted by: Zonk | September 23, 2012 at 06:51 PM
PS...Sherman lost that game. WTF was he thinking in OT? Why not run the ball to get Carpenter closer? Instead, Tanne throws deep (twice) to the Great White Hope Hartline.
Posted by: JackSparrow | September 23, 2012 at 06:51 PM
hey Kris im with you...with our schedule 11 wins is reachable. i think we'll compete in all games, but cannot afford to throw them away like today
Posted by: Arturo | September 23, 2012 at 06:51 PM
Ireland= loser. 1-15
Posted by: amsmith965 | September 23, 2012 at 06:51 PM
They are going to lose these next 4, so there is your 6. Arz. Is going to beat the snot out of the dilphins. They won't be able to stop fitzgerald at all.
Posted by: Dolphin 77 | September 23, 2012 at 06:51 PM
why didn't ireland tell the colts that he wanted a player too with the vontae davis trade..how about this guy...TY. Hilton caught four balls for 113 yards..no he wants another acorn.
