The Dolphins offense had a nice opening drive and Ryan Tannehill got his first NFL TD on a 2 yard run.
Good.
The bad?
The Raiders just pieced together a 64-yard screen pass TD in which Reshad Jones was held, Chris Clemons took a bad angle to the ballcarrier, Koa Misi got pancaked and Karlos Dansby could only trail helplessly as he watched the score.
The game is tied, 7-7.

Why Bess?
Taking it from this game, neither team may win 5 games.
Sheesh, no answer to the pass rush against us.

Just get it together!
Easy back to basics......hey maybe even a screen Shermie?
My God, their in his face every play!

TANNE FIGHTING BRAVELY JUST LIKE HENNE DID LAST YEAR. 2 YEARS IN A ROW QB IS THE BEST PLAYER AND NO HELP
Posted by: the result | September 16, 2012 at 02:12 PM
Lane wouldn't have run out of bounds.
Posted by: IMAWriter | September 16, 2012 at 02:12 PM
Can't even get a 1st down. We suck so bad.
Posted by: Jersey Shore Dude | September 16, 2012 at 02:12 PM
Get him killed Shermie!
Posted by: Coalition To Get Coalition Out Of The Closet | September 16, 2012 at 02:12 PM
That's a great play by Tannehill. Our protection is terrible.
Posted by: We Have RB's | September 16, 2012 at 02:12 PM
Tanne puts that ON TARGET....we get a 1st down....
Posted by: Kris | September 16, 2012 at 02:12 PM
I guess Philbin didnt take your advice about home field advantage, Mando.
They should be trying to run the clock out right now instead of scoring. Not sure if they can straight up man handle the Raiders.
Posted by: JackSparrow | September 16, 2012 at 02:13 PM
PUNT GAME GREAT. NOW D MUST GET BALL BACK. 7-7 AT HALF TIME. COME ON D
Posted by: the result | September 16, 2012 at 02:13 PM
Come on Bess get past the first down line. You did that last week at the goal line too.
Posted by: Rob in MLB | September 16, 2012 at 02:13 PM
Lets go D!
Posted by: Liberal Heterosexual | September 16, 2012 at 02:13 PM
Nevermind.
Posted by: Liberal Heterosexual | September 16, 2012 at 02:13 PM
Are you kidding me??? Tannehill is running for his life out there!!!
Posted by: We Have RB's | September 16, 2012 at 02:14 PM
Terrible!! Too bad we have to play offense in the second quarter!!
Posted by: flyrodderbob | September 16, 2012 at 02:14 PM
I'll be curious to see what JJ Watt does this week.
We seem to making very good players look like the greatest of all time.
Shaughnessy?
Posted by: IMAWriter | September 16, 2012 at 02:14 PM
C'mon D get a sack!
Posted by: Sandoval | September 16, 2012 at 02:14 PM
Can anyone tell me why when we are running effectively did they abandon the run and start ducking and chucking?
Posted by: nyfinfan | September 16, 2012 at 02:14 PM
The unraveling has commenced.
Posted by: Jersey Shore Dude | September 16, 2012 at 02:14 PM
If Raiders score now, its over.
Posted by: JackSparrow | September 16, 2012 at 02:14 PM
We might be able to better judge Tannehill as a QB if he had some pass protection
Posted by: MiamiD20 | September 16, 2012 at 02:14 PM
The run game has disappeared completely. Raiders are making a "ROOKIE QB" have to beat them. Thats what we're seeing right now.
Posted by: Yesterday'sGone | September 16, 2012 at 02:14 PM
Run the clock our are u joking?
Posted by: inimounts | September 16, 2012 at 02:14 PM
TOTALLY ABANDONED THE RUNNING GAME THAT WAS WORKING.
CAM PHILBIN IS A DISASTER.
GIVE US A CHANCE COACH.
GET MILLER THE BALL. RUN THE CLOCK SOME.
Posted by: the result | September 16, 2012 at 02:14 PM
Only bad teams like the faiders give the dolphins hope to still be in this game....Miami is already due a meltdown on offense if they cant run the ball
Posted by: superPHIN | September 16, 2012 at 02:14 PM
Agreed, Jack.
Posted by: Jersey Shore Dude | September 16, 2012 at 02:14 PM
Look at the time Palmer has!!!
Posted by: We Have RB's | September 16, 2012 at 02:15 PM
So 2 top 15 picks and the O-line still sucks. Ireland is a beast!
Posted by: Jon | September 16, 2012 at 02:15 PM
Cam Philbin, lol, good stuff, sadly.
Posted by: Jersey Shore Dude | September 16, 2012 at 02:15 PM
Notice Sherman basically got rid of the 3 step drop//aka West Coast offense?
The tipped passes last week is why we suck this week.
Soon as the raiders knew they could bring the house on a 7 step drop, BAM!
Posted by: IMAWriter | September 16, 2012 at 02:15 PM
CAM PHILBIN MUST BE A GOD DAMNED RETARD. HE MUST HAVE A GOD DAMNED IQ OF 60
Posted by: the result | September 16, 2012 at 02:15 PM
Sooner or later the D will breakdown. Can not keep them on the field this long.
Posted by: The Biocentric | September 16, 2012 at 02:15 PM
Philbin looks like he lost something on the sidelines!
Posted by: Rut | September 16, 2012 at 02:15 PM
Lay off my brother!
Posted by: Regis | September 16, 2012 at 02:16 PM
why has sherman stopped running the ball?
Posted by: austin | September 16, 2012 at 02:16 PM
Burnett playing well too.
Posted by: We Have RB's | September 16, 2012 at 02:16 PM
Mr. Tannehill, you can stop being a rookie qb anytime now. If not, every dc in the league now has the blueprint to beat us.
Posted by: Yesterday'sGone | September 16, 2012 at 02:16 PM
RUT, HIS MANHOOD? HE'S A FAILURE
Posted by: the result | September 16, 2012 at 02:16 PM
What pisses me off bout Sean Smith the most is the way he talks trash, you'd swear he was a fits ballot HOF corner... He flat out suck!!!
Posted by: FED UP PHINS FAN | September 16, 2012 at 02:16 PM
These receivers are the most pathetic bunch ever assembled. Did u see the Vincent Jackson td? Pretty basic, but u watch it and KNOW we don't have a receiver that makes that catch. Same with aj green.
Posted by: inimounts | September 16, 2012 at 02:17 PM
Yeah beat up on the coach who has the talent of a 17th ranked college program. SMH
Posted by: Jon | September 16, 2012 at 02:17 PM
Philbin already learning from HUGE mistake of calling TO'S late in the game and before the 2 minute warning in 2nd half..*lmao*
Posted by: superPHIN | September 16, 2012 at 02:17 PM
naanee doesn't even act like he's interested in catching the ball.
Posted by: austin | September 16, 2012 at 02:17 PM
GET MILLER AND BUSH THE BALL. WE MUST DO IT. RUN IT. THEN PLAY ACTION AND ROLL OUT.
Posted by: CAM PHILBIN AND JAKE LONG SUCK | September 16, 2012 at 02:17 PM
We're starting to blow this thing.
Posted by: Amin NYC | September 16, 2012 at 02:17 PM
Our db's are playing so deep, that the LB's have to make tackles 5-7 yards deep into the secondary.
YES, Nolan's SCHEMES are missed, talent or not on our squad.
Bellicheat has made a living by game-planning better than the opposing team.
Even when the Patsies were average on D, they would come up withy the big game.
Posted by: IMAWriter | September 16, 2012 at 02:18 PM
O-Line is an abysmal joke.......pick after pick, FA after FA, & Parcells/Sparano/Ireland couldn't pick even an adequate lineman.
TanneTip is a sacrificial Lamb, a modern-day David Carr/Joey Harrington, being crucified by an utterly inept O-Line.
Posted by: e PLURIBUS EUNUCH | September 16, 2012 at 02:18 PM
With the chunks of yardage this team is giving up, it's a miracle the game's still tied.
Posted by: navydolfaninva | September 16, 2012 at 02:18 PM
GET THAT GUY # 40 FROM THE STANDS TO REPLACE LONG
Posted by: CAM PHILBIN AND JAKE LONG SUCK | September 16, 2012 at 02:18 PM
Agree with "the result". Philbin thinks that he has Brett Favre back there. They need to run the football and keep it close. This is ridiculous. Philbin needs to get in Sherman's face. This is a recipe for disaster.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | September 16, 2012 at 02:18 PM
Stopped running the ball? What game are you guys watching? The Raiders have stopped our run and forcing Tannehill and the wretched recievers to beat them.
Posted by: Yesterday'sGone | September 16, 2012 at 02:18 PM
Yep, i knew it. We suck.
Posted by: Amin NYC | September 16, 2012 at 02:18 PM
Yes, run the clock out tied with 5 minutes to go. That puts you in FG range at lease and keeps Palmer off the field for 3 damn minutes.
Then give him the ball back in the beginning of the 3rd.
They score here, means Miami should have run the clock out with medium to low range passed and runs. Take a look at the endzone but play for the 3 points.
Posted by: JackSparrow | September 16, 2012 at 02:18 PM
WAKE being held like a champ
Posted by: Marc | September 16, 2012 at 02:18 PM
And that's not holding?????
Posted by: The Biocentric | September 16, 2012 at 02:18 PM
"Sooner or later the D will breakdown. Can not keep them on the field this long."
True but we if can't protect Tannehill he's not going to pick up first downs. Sherman needs to make some serious adjustments at halftime b/c this looks like a jailbreak.
Posted by: We Have RB's | September 16, 2012 at 02:18 PM
HOW THE F can the ref miss that hold on Wake!!!!!! Wow!!!
Posted by: robbyhernz | September 16, 2012 at 02:18 PM
