GLENDALE, Ariz. -- The Dolphins are getting great performances from a handful of individuals and the result is they are outplaying the favored Cardinals.
It starts with the quarterback and Ryan Tannehill is throwing the football more accurately than I've seen all season. He has completed 15 of 21 passes for 219 yards and led a shiny 95-yard TD drive just before halftime that put the Dolphins first TD on the board.
Brian Hartline has already had a great game and it's only halftime. He has six catches for 110 yards, including a 57-yard catch on that TD drive.
Davone Bess is also having a fine day with five catches for 86 yards.
Defensively, Cameron Wake has also awoken. He had no sacks the first three games of the season. He has three in the first half today.
Sean Smith also picked off his first pass of the year and has done a good job marking Larry Fitzgerald.
So far so good for the Dolphins. Join me in the comments section for the continuation of the live blog.

Tannehill looks like a stud out there. Have we found our franchise QB?

The Dolphins are getting better as the year goes on. I tip my hat to them and the coaching staff. Second half still to go!

obvious answer. think a few years from now this team will be built around him as the franchise. It's already in the books. Looks like he has more potential than anyone in this draft.

Nice to have a coach with saavy for a change.

Points on the board with the opening 3rd qrt drive would be great.
Posted by: dbmfins | September 30, 2012 at 05:38 PM
Well, we just cannot sit asnd watch how Arizona advances the ball.
Posted by: oscar canosa | September 30, 2012 at 05:38 PM
Daniel, you beat me at saying the same thing. Very impressive offense against a stout AZ defense so far. And our D is showing they are just as formidable. Game planning looks quite good so far.

I posted last week, even during our losses, I saw improvement in certain areas. If you're going to lose, thats the way to do. Improving not declining.
When this happens, eventually you will begin to win. But there cant be decline in your play even as you win, or eventually you begin to lose again.

Still too early foe definitive judgement, but it looks like this team actually corrects weakness from prior weeks, so we don't see the same mistakes repeated. I think that speaks to coaching. Here's hoping...

Tannehill is doing a great job of moving in the pocket.

Hartline is awesome. 146 yards receiving.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | September 30, 2012 at 05:43 PM
I admit it. I'm shocked that we're dominating this game. Not shocked at Tannehill. He gets better every week.
Posted by: We Have RB's | September 30, 2012 at 05:43 PM
Earlier I said Fiztgerald would have 200yds recieving. Looks like I was wrong. It going to be Brian Hartline.
Go figure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

That was PASS INTERFERENCE!
Posted by: dbmfins | September 30, 2012 at 05:44 PM
That Gay guy had his hands all over Bess.
Posted by: Angry Elf | September 30, 2012 at 05:44 PM
No matter who wins today I'm pretty DAMN sure we finally found a HC who knows what he's doing.
Posted by: We Have RB's | September 30, 2012 at 05:44 PM

Posted by: Okizzle | September 30, 2012 at 05:45 PM
Hartline & Bess in BEAST mode today.
Posted by: We Have RB's | September 30, 2012 at 05:45 PM
Hartline has 146yds receiving against PATRICK PETERSON. He keeps playing like this, I'll have to eat my "we still need a #1 wr" crap! LOL

The MAN is Dropping F-Bombs and we are Up 13!!

Specially at these Ref's!!!
Posted by: Dashi | September 30, 2012 at 05:46 PM
I love how Tasker said there was contact but not enough for a penalty. WHAT? he jammed him the facemask!!!
Posted by: nyfinfan | September 30, 2012 at 05:46 PM
That was a hand on the grill; c'mon refs were in vegas yesterday.
Posted by: Spillmar | September 30, 2012 at 05:46 PM
Seems lioke Bess wasnt where Tanne expected him to be.
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone | September 30, 2012 at 05:47 PM
Wow we were lucky there. How did he not intercept that.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | September 30, 2012 at 05:47 PM
i hate that we always have burn a time out early in the half. Oh, and was definitely pass interference, or at least illegal contact. He straight mushed bess in his facemask.
Posted by: Okizzle | September 30, 2012 at 05:47 PM
Where's bill connors, telling everyone that every rookie QB has looked better than Tannehill so far. bill, Russell Wilson, 165 yards passing and 3 picks today, against a soft St. Louis defence. Yeah, OK bill....I'll make sure to listen closely to what you say.
Come on Tannehill!

Not Carpenter's year...He's been so good. :(
Posted by: We Have RB's | September 30, 2012 at 05:48 PM
Its official, Carpenter doesnt have any long kick leg left after the Sparano era. Same as Bum Phillips did to Earl Campbell.
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone | September 30, 2012 at 05:48 PM
Is anyone watching on the tube? Did Philbin drop a few F-bombs?
Posted by: Armando Salguero | September 30, 2012 at 05:48 PM
Maybe it's time to bring in a little competition for Carpenter this week.
Posted by: nyfinfan | September 30, 2012 at 05:49 PM
Carpenter is killing us this year. He cost us the game last week, let's hope that kick does not come back to hunt us.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | September 30, 2012 at 05:49 PM
Guys, you do realize it was a 51 yard field goal, right? Not exactly a gimme.
Posted by: Craig M | September 30, 2012 at 05:49 PM

3 and out is needed now
Posted by: Reg | September 30, 2012 at 05:49 PM
Gotta love it - freaking carpenter - Knows he's hooking it and hits it right to compensate. As ugly as my hits off the tee. Carpenter sit down.
Better to have punted in hind sight and pinned the birds.
Posted by: Spillmar | September 30, 2012 at 05:49 PM
Wr and a kicker and we are up 20-0 right now. Cut him tomorrow he has one fu($ing job!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Ziggy | September 30, 2012 at 05:49 PM
If Hartline gets 200yds Recieving
WE WILL ALL HAVE TO EAT OUR WORDS!
JUST IMAGINE IF THE SECRET WEAPON DID HAVE TRAINING CAMP INSTEAD OF HOLDING OUT!!!
Don't give me that he was injured!
Posted by: Dashi | September 30, 2012 at 05:49 PM
