The kind folks at The Miami Herald love their readers -- you. They want you happy and clicking on this blog early and often -- kind of like a Miami-Dade County election. And for that reason they have decided that every Friday one of the Herald's star sportswriters will come to this blog and answer all your questions and attend to all your comments about ...
Everything!
This week's star sportswriter is me. Next week's star sportswriter is ... me.
Seriously, every Friday there will be a live chat on this site at exactly 3 p.m. I'll stick around for at least 30 minutes, longer if the response merits. You can suffer me that long, right?
Everything on the table. Like the blog promo says, nothing is taboo.
So I'll be here at 3 p.m. See you in the comments section.

Any chance this team keeps who I view as the leaders on this team ... Long, Bush, and to a lesser extent Sean Smith?

Remember this time last week when everyone was saying Hartline was a bust and Tannehill was a bust and Philbin was a bust as an HC? My how things chance in one week

Fair enough, Armando, I'll start it off. You said it's open discussion on EVERYTHING.
There are many of us here who would like to do know just how many aliases Yesterday's Gone/Dying Breed has. I'll put the over/under at EIGHT and I'll take the OVER.
Great bunch of guys that come here to blog but it's the trolls and insults that drag things down. What can be done about and what is the Herald prepared to do about it.
I can't be here at 3 but would appreciate hearing what you have to say about it.
Posted by: Craig M | September 21, 2012 at 02:14 PM
CraigM,
I pray Armando answers you about how many screen names I have. Again your STUPIDITY will be put to shame.
ARMANDO PLEASE TELL CRAIG STUPID HOW MANY SCREEN NAMES I HAVE. HE'S ALREADY USED TO BEING STUPID. SO HE WONT BE EMBARRASSED. IF THE CRAP HE POSTS DOESNT EMBARRASS HIM, THIS WONT HAVE A CHANCE. LOL!!!!!!!!!!

...Dashi.We play a lot of cover 2??? Not quite. Go watch the Texans game again. We were in single high almost exclusivley. The long td to the running back last week.....Yup single high. clemons took a bad angle on that play. If we were in cover 2 no way do we give up that play. There was a little more last week then week one. But to say we play a lot of cover 2 is not true..

CRAIG GOOFY,
ONCE ARMANDO TELLS YOU IVE ONLY BEEN YG UP UNTIL I JUST CHANGED IT. YOU MAKE A PUBLIC APOLOGY AND CONFESS HOW STUPID YOU REALLY ARE. DEAL? LOL
Posted by: OSCAR(TROLL 1001) | September 21, 2012 at 02:28 PM
Mando, how did you like my poem that I wrote in honor of J Lane?
Posted by: Skoob | September 21, 2012 at 02:29 PM
IF all things remain status quo more or less, about how much space are we gonna have salary cap wise for 2013?
Posted by: Flipper13 | September 21, 2012 at 02:30 PM
OH BOY, I CANT WAIT UNTIL ARMANDO GETS HERE. AGAIN CRAIGM'S STUPIDITY WILL BE PUT TO SHAME FOR ALL TO SEE. LOL...
Posted by: OSCAR(TROLL 1001) | September 21, 2012 at 02:30 PM
MANDO, ISN'T IT TRUE THAT J LANE COULD HAVE THE EXACT SAME ROLE AND STATS AND IMPACT THAT MIKE ALSTOTT HAD FOR THE BUCS DURING THEIR SUPER BOWL RUN IF WE CHOSE TO USE HIM THAT WAY?
Posted by: Skoob | September 21, 2012 at 02:31 PM
Armando, Do you know what Jonathon Martin's opinion on Ryan Tannehill is comparatively to Andrew Luck? Whether he sees any positives in Tannehill over Luck... I'm curious to see if he thinks Tannehill is more an athlete and has a stronger arm.

Posted by: Mindless Homer MiamiD20 | September 21, 2012 at 02:14 PM
No Oscar, I call it as I see it: in my opinion. I'm down on this entire secondary, the LBs, and am not sold on the WR unit since we have good #2s and #3s with Hartline and Bess but nothing more which is unacceptable. Because I defend this team from being the 0-16 team you believe we are (defending them in that I think they're a 6-10, 7-9 team lol) I must be a homer.
By the way: I'd rather be called a homer than a troll. Trolls are stereotypically ugly
Posted by: MiamiD20 | September 21, 2012 at 02:33 PM
Why is everybody writing in ALL CAPS....
can you answer that one Armando....huh...
:)
Posted by: Kris | September 21, 2012 at 02:35 PM
MANDO, isn't it true that no team can stop REGGIE BUSH; rather they can only hope to contain him?
Posted by: Skoob | September 21, 2012 at 02:35 PM
..So some of us were throwing names around as far as guys we would like to see at reciever in the next draft..I'll add Cal reciever Keenan Allen. 6'2 215. I like him becuase he produces with a quarterback that will not play at the next level. He plays physical, is not afraid to catch the ball in traffic. Returns punts. Cal plays USC this week. I'm curious to see who has the bigger day between the 3 NFL caliber recievers in this game.
Posted by: Darryl Dunphy | September 21, 2012 at 02:36 PM
Mando, isn't it true that one cannot stop Reggie Bush; one can only hope to contain him?
Posted by: Danny Whuerfel | September 21, 2012 at 02:37 PM
Ricky Williams almost went to the super bowl last year, and would have had the stupid team given him the rock.
Posted by: Danny Whuerfel | September 21, 2012 at 02:37 PM
CRAIGM,
DONT WORRY, WHEN ARMANDO GETS HERE IM GOING TO ASK HIM TO TELL YOU MY SCREEN NAMES. YG AND AFTER THE OSCAR ATTACK, "OSCAR(1001)".
ARMANDO'S GOING TO PROVE YOU STUPID WHICH ISNT DIFFICULT TO DO. LOL
Posted by: OSCAR(TROLL 1001) | September 21, 2012 at 02:38 PM
...Also. It is debateable who the best reciever on the Trojans is. Marquise Lee, or Robert Woods. This weekends game should be a good watch.
Posted by: Darryl Dunphy | September 21, 2012 at 02:39 PM
Mando, do you get to come to work every day in jeans or even shorts?

Armando, Do you know of any WRs that may be on the trade block? What player would you trade for to help this team if you could play GM?
Posted by: B33RCA53 | September 21, 2012 at 02:42 PM
ARMANDO,
HOW MUCH DO YOU GET PAID FROM THE HERALD EVERY MONTH ?
Posted by: ALoco | September 21, 2012 at 02:42 PM
I just want to thank you guys for making my blog reading experience today thoroughly entertaining. Funny, funny stuff, and I learned something new:
Frog = slur for a French Canadian.
Not sure why that's so or the derivation of it, but at least now I know next time I want to insult a French Canadian (which will be never, since I love the French and the Canadians).
Posted by: DC Dolfan | September 21, 2012 at 02:43 PM
Hahaha, ALoco, that was great!

((HERALD'S STAR SPORTSWRITERS ))............
FUNNY WRITING ............
Posted by: ALoco | September 21, 2012 at 02:45 PM
Philbin already stated what kind of wr's he likes for the wco system. So while you guys are considering what wr's Miami should draft. You may also consider if that guy can play "ALL 3" wr positions too.
Isnt that what Philbin himself said? LOL
Posted by: OSCAR(TROLL 1001) | September 21, 2012 at 02:45 PM
Now for my question to you Armando:
I read that you said they (I'm assuming the Coaches) want Legadu "Only Bad Things Happen When I'm Involved" Naanee to be more involved in the offense.
What pray tell do they think he can contribute? Better yet Mando, as our eyes and ears at practice/training camp/etc., what have YOU ever seen Naanee do on the practice field that made YOU think he can offer a contribution on game days?
I mean, everyone knows I'm a faithful, longtime fan of this team. Yet I can't even imagine what positives this guy brings to the offensive side of the ball (not special teams, I'm talking offense).
Please help me understand!
Posted by: DC Dolfan | September 21, 2012 at 02:47 PM
what could possibly be funny about that...
Posted by: Kris | September 21, 2012 at 02:47 PM
ALoco,
Oscar hijacked my screen name so I(YG) highjacked his.
Are you beginning to take a liking to Philbin yet?
Posted by: OSCAR(TROLL 1001) | September 21, 2012 at 02:48 PM
MARK...... I REALLY WANT TO KNOW HOW MUCH ARMANDO GET PAID FOR HIS BEING A (( HERALD WRITER )) ,OR HE PAYS THE HERALD FOR GIVING HIM THE FOURM ..........
Posted by: ALoco | September 21, 2012 at 02:48 PM
Second question:
Has Miami done any extra practicing this week against the Wildcat (that will be shown via Tim Tebow on Sunday)? And who played Tebow on the offense?
Posted by: DC Dolfan | September 21, 2012 at 02:49 PM
KRIS... IN A TIME WHERE EVERY BELOW AVERAGE PERSON BECOMES THE SO CALLED (( HERALD STAR SPORT WRITER )) FOR WRITING CRAP IS INDEED FUNNY ..........
Posted by: ALoco | September 21, 2012 at 02:50 PM
Good afternoon everyone. I'm here early to dispel the ongoing stereotype that Cubans are always late.
So let's go!!!!
Posted by: Armando Salguero | September 21, 2012 at 02:50 PM
When did ALOCO ask that question.....
I don't see were he did.....
Posted by: Kris | September 21, 2012 at 02:51 PM
The wildcat is done. Everyone now knows you just blitz hell out of it. Tebow isnt much more accurate than Ronnie Brown throwing out of it.
Tebow will throw us a pick 6 out of the wildcat this Sunday.

Sad that Craig M and YG/Oscar (troll 1001) have beef.
Craig, YG doesn't use any other name but Ocsar whatever whatever. So there's that.
YG, kindly go back to your usual handle.
And both you guys need to simply respect each other and move on. Please!

Posted by: mikeoliver1313 | September 21, 2012 at 02:53 PM

Posted by: fsdabus | September 21, 2012 at 02:54 PM

Posted by: Craig M | September 21, 2012 at 02:57 PM
Hi Armando,
Why does Mike Florio hate the Dolphins so much. My guess is that
he is a Minnesota Vikings fan, and resents the super bowl.
Posted by: austin | September 21, 2012 at 02:57 PM
Armando, forget these children, let's discuss the only thing that matters, the Miami Dolphins. Please address my question @ 2:47 if you would kind Sir!
Posted by: DC Dolfan | September 21, 2012 at 02:57 PM
Mike, assuming both are healthy, I believe the Dolphins will keep BOTH Bush and Long.
I believe the Bush camp will be understanding that he has value but not Top 5 RB value. I believe Bush likes it here. I believe he thinks this team is going in the right direction. So I think they can reach an understanding ... if he's healthy. If not, everything is out the window and we'll have to play by ear.
On Jake Long, I believe his agent will want him to be paid the highest salary of any LT. I don't think he's worth that anymore, at least not based on his play so far this year which hasn't been dominant. The Dolphins will want to keep him. They can use the franchise tag on him which will pay him the average of the top 5 Tackles.
If he's injured, however, we'll have to play it by ear.

ALOCO....
read MY COMMENT @ 2:54....and then decide how much stock I put in that answer....
Posted by: Kris | September 21, 2012 at 02:57 PM
Armando,
Indications are that S. Ross may fire Jeff Ireland if this season goes very bad, but that Ross obviously would still keep Philbin around in that scenario. My question is: Doesn't Ross realize that a new GM would probably want his own coach and want to pick his own type of players? So essentially firing Ireland means blowing the whole thing up (AGAIN). Does Ross understand that?
Thanks
