HOUSTON -- Well, the Dolphins are killing themselves.
They have four turnovers, three of them on three consecutive plays. And what was a 3-0 lead after one quarter is now a 24-3 deficit here.
The Texans clicked off four turnovers in seven minutes, three on interceptions and one on a Daniel Thomas fumble. Ryan Tannehill is having major issues with deflected passes as his last two passes were deflected at the line of scrimmage and intercepted.
The live blog continues nonetheless in the comment section below.

Total self-destruction. Things couldnt have gone worse for the players, coaches, team, fans.

I tried to jump on the Tannehill bandwagon, but come on, seriously.
How is the Kid going to develop ANYTHING when he can't get the ball over the D-Line?
Oh God! That same feeling I got on draft day is coming back.
I saw Tannehill on the sideline talking to Moore: These guys are big. How do you get the ball over the top of them?

My God. Is this pathetic excuse for a franchise ever going to be watchable again. I cant remember the last time I was excited about the NFL.

God, houston gets the ball back in the 2nd half first...at this rate, this is gonna be 62 pts bad and devlin might get in there before long....

Well i don't agree with Raul's personal beliefs, but i'm with him on this. Obama. At least that's one black guy who robs me within the law.

You know what....Texans are a damn good team though.
I'd like to see how we play against teams of our own caliber.
Posted by: JackSparrow | September 09, 2012 at 02:40 PM
A world's record. Our season is over before the first half ends.

A Jew and a Cuban agreeing on something. Sounds like the beginning of a bar joke.

Well, I had a feeling this Defense was going to be good.
Not bad only giving up 24 points in the half. Huh? What?
Well, when you consider 4 turnovers!
Posted by: Coalition To Get Coalition Out Of The Closet | September 09, 2012 at 02:41 PM
Tipped passes WTF. The first int was on the wr. No seperation. The team knew Tannehill threw low and they still drafted him.
Maybe the Texans are that good but, it really hard to give them all the credit.
Posted by: long season | September 09, 2012 at 02:42 PM
I feel sorry for the defense. They were put in some bad positions..and made them worse.

PS...Jets and Pats looking good....again.
Bills and Miami looking bad...again.

Tannehill is an INT MACHINE! Put Moore IN!!!!!!
Posted by: Fin 77 | September 09, 2012 at 02:42 PM
Depressing thing about this game for Dolphins is Houston isn't playing great. It's just that Miami is imploding. about a minute ago
....Armando, thats what no offense will do to a team that doesnt strecth the field and only does quick snaps and out routes to receivers that have little to no seperation....You are what your level of talent shows and offensively, we are more than challenged....tannehill might throw 45 ints for the season at this rate
Posted by: superPHIN | September 09, 2012 at 02:42 PM
I actually started watching when we were up 3-0 - should have just gone back to the beach as nothing worth watching anymore
Posted by: DieHard | September 09, 2012 at 02:43 PM
Armando, how does Vegas look like now? Still freakin' out?
Posted by: #1 Dolphin Fan in Montreal | September 09, 2012 at 02:43 PM
please stop overreacting its really annoying.
i love how a Rookie QB has a few tipped passed for picks and people throw him under the bus and say hes a bust when people said he looked so good to start.
please shut up, the people on this blog are such cry babies

Im afraid we maybe witnessing Ireland's 8th overall pick qb going total bust right before our very eyes. Could it be 2nd coming of Ryan Leaf?
Posted by: Yesterday'sGone | September 09, 2012 at 02:43 PM
the defense is pretty good....other than the fact that marshall doesn't know how to play the ball
the offense is just as bad as advertised, though one has to say that if garrard was the qb, this could very well be a tied game.
Posted by: austin | September 09, 2012 at 02:43 PM
shut up tanne
Posted by: P.a yuengs-n-wings | September 09, 2012 at 02:43 PM
Little unfair for the rookie QB. Texan's adjusted pretty quickly to the total and very obvious lack of outside threats by sitting down on every route and by just having the dl read Tannehill's eyes. He just does'nt have the experience and no weapons at all.
Posted by: ld124 | September 09, 2012 at 02:44 PM
Well, we'll take our place in the cellar in week 1 and stay there all season. Can we please FIRE IRESCUM NOW?
Posted by: Jay | September 09, 2012 at 02:44 PM
“I didn’t see a huge separation between Griffin and Ryan at the time,” Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland told King last week. “I just didn’t see it.”
SEE IT NOW IDIOT??!?!?!?!
Posted by: JackSparrow | September 09, 2012 at 02:44 PM
The question is, can Tannehill be coached to get some arc on the ball?
Posted by: cocoajoe | September 09, 2012 at 02:44 PM
i DON'T THINK THE ACTUAL DC HAS A CLUE ABOUT WHAT TO DO IN ZONE COVERAGES

ARMANDO HAS A GREAT JOB WHICH MOST OF US WOULD LOVE TO HAVE, BUT I IMAGINE THE LOSING AND THE LOSING LOCKER ROOMS IS A DRAG.
HANG IN THERE MANDO.
PHINS WILL GET IT RIGHT ONE OF THESE YEARS.

Tannehill is WORSE then Henne!! YIKES!!

The game ain't over. We can still win.
Posted by: Pete | September 09, 2012 at 02:45 PM
Half the blame goes on play calling as well... All the WRs are running is 5 yard slants!!!!!... The DBs are sitting on every thing cause they know what's coming....

BENCH TANNEHILL!
Posted by: Gregg L | September 09, 2012 at 02:46 PM
Even more ironic, it isnt the tipped passes themselves, the same player tipped 4 passes. The one Fasano caught could easily have been a pick.
Same player has really picked up on Tannehill's delivery.
Posted by: Yesterday'sGone | September 09, 2012 at 02:46 PM
All the points were off turnovers. Ireland traded all of our assets and our "firepower" in return wasn't even worth it. Zero threats at receiver no one to double cover= pass rush city.

Posted by: cocoajoe | September 09, 2012 at 02:46 PM
this wasn't the ideal scenario to have tannehill start the season.....if only garrard could watch his kids without tearing cartiledge.
Posted by: austin | September 09, 2012 at 02:46 PM
This is on the coaches upstairs. They shouldn't be calling quick slants against this defense. Help the rookie out!

Different year same garbage.
Posted by: DISGUSTED | September 09, 2012 at 02:47 PM
The Dolphins have a good d-line, good linebackers and a good RB in Reggie Bush. That's it. The rest is crap. I don't care what anyone says. Rebuilding is an understatement. Problem is the guy rebuilding didn't know how to build in the first place.
Posted by: #1 Dolphin Fan in Montreal | September 09, 2012 at 02:47 PM
Ireland is a much bigger issue than Tannehill
Posted by: andyk | September 09, 2012 at 02:47 PM
WHY DON'T THEY PUT GARRARD IN?
OH WAIT...NEVER MIND.
MAYBE VONTAE WILL STEP UP IN THE SECOND HALF...OH WAIT...NEVER MIND.
MARSHALL IS A PRETTY GOOD SECOND HALF GUY...MAYBE HE MIGHT...OOPS, NEVER MIND.
Posted by: JackSparrow | September 09, 2012 at 02:47 PM
