Dolphins beat Bengals 17-13

CINCINNATI -- The Dolphins had blown fourth-quarter leads in each of the past two weeks. Not this time!

Miami held on despite giving up a touchdown in the final stanza. The fact Cincinnati missed a 40-yard field goal and then Reshad Jones ended the Bengals final grasp at victory with an interception balanced this one in Miami's favor.

The Dolphins needed this one.

It is a lesson how to win on the road, or at least it can be used that way.

Ryan Tannehill did a good job keeping away from the turnover today. He completed 17 of 26 passes for 223 yards with neither a TD nor INT.

The Dolphins are 2-3 and go home next week against the Rams.

it takes me 2-3 hours to dial down the angst every time the Dolphins play.
That stat about 8-10 games lost when 3 points or less has caused me great circulatory distress, besides driving me 9and i suspect most everyone here) CRAZY!! LOL

YG---seeing how the most questioned play being critcised is a 53yd FG it is rather questionable just how Tannehille could have changed the call.

Nice win. We're all on the same side. But, questioning such as this is how you improve week to week.

YG
I agree Tannehill did change some plays. But HENNE also dud remember captain check down! But Tannehill is going to be a great QB. I believe in Tannehill

Brady is still Brady, and their OC (the former Denver HC?) has constructed a beautiful game plan.
Peyton misses those Colts receivers.
Sheesh, Woodhead looks like Barry Sanders in their offense.

Dashi, of course defense has to stop somebody for a win. Brilliant analysis. I think NFLN might need a new analyst.

I think the Pats woke up they will probably score 45 on denver again as last year!
Can't wait for the PHINS to play them that to me is a great measuring stick! After that beat down they got from ARZ. They have awaken from that nightmare! But we will see how our defense play against Brady bunch!

I meant the Pats beat down by ARZ

i HAVE ASSIDUOUSLY REFRAINED FROM SAYING "i TOLD YOU SO," BUT AFTER REFRAINING i MUST SAY "hAH!!" aLL YOU NEG-HEADS & HATERZ OUGHTA HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME.....wE GOT A qb y'ALL!!!

gO fINS!

Fins had about 2.5 yd/ave in 1st half and Bush didn't seem to be headed to a 100/yd or greater game.

It was a 7-6 game at the half.

That's why I thought the Fins needed to bring in Miller to shake things up.

RAY---
DONT DARE MENTION hENNE IN SAME SENTENCE AS tANNY.............AIN'T EVEN CLOSE, EVEN NOW!

This could be Irelands week to shine can the cheap sunglasses get yourself designer frames(next big contract closer now)They won today now get rid of the cheapos and lets see if they can win tommorrow(Rams)

Great win but Carpenter has got to go.

charles clay sucks. except for that one hard catch. he ran out of bounds. wtf?

Not comparing HENNE at all to Tannehill
If you would continue reading the rest of my post, you see HENNE wS captain check down, did produce anything with his check down, Tannehill produces on the changing the calls at the line if scrimmage.. HENNE is a backup always will be Tannehill is a starter he always will be and a future probowler. Ok
Let's move on!

Good win Dolphins. I think the refs blew three calls that should have been in the Phins favor, but we still won. Rock on Miami

T-hill was a great game manager today. He was able to move the ball even though he had ZERO TDs (not having any INTs or fumbles also helped).

Fins proved they can win when their QB doesn't turn it over OR pass for a score.

It will be interesting to watch and see at what point this season he reaches the 300 yds/game average.

He's 15th now at 261 yds/game ave. There are only four at 300+ yds/game.

He still needs to start connecting for TDs.

gOTCHA rAY.......i'M JUST SO STOKED ABOUT tANNY'S TALENT & POTENTIAL THAT i GOT TWISTED.....PLUS i haTED THOSE HENNE CHECKDOWNS & I LOVE TANNY CHANGING AT THE LINE W/ A CONTEMPORANEOUS CALL!!

WE COOL?

I feel like there's a bomb-throwing Tannehill who will come out when he's got more confidence.

I don't follow the team as closely as most of y'all, so I don't know how he's done on deep passes in practice, but when he's less anxious about interceptions, I think we're going to see some amazing throws from him.

Ryan Tannehill is going to be terrific.

They hit the jackpot with this kid.

SCREW FISHER, HOPE WE DESTROY THEM

This team is very competitive nice win after 2 tough losses. They play hard that is a reflection of the coach. The defense is playing well getting turnovers.
I will be the first to admit thought this season was a trainwreck but Philbin is getting them to play hard and that says a lot.

marshall having monster game

We win!!!

I actually have faith in Scrambled Egnew becoming a player to be reckoned with... Jimmy Graham barely saw the field in 2010 until about week 15... Same could hold true for Egnew...

Wearing there drap all white uniforms.I guess they ditched the aqua pants. Are uniforms need a make over.

i been watching the ne game and i do not understand denver they know what play is coming and still can not stop. when brady is under center they run when he is in shotgun they throw, you would think denver would stop that. if anything else get ne out of sync

imawriter, Jimmy Graham wasn't used until midway through his rookie season also... Then when he finally got into the game the coaches noticed he could get open. It's not too late for him to be called upon. Also yes the Clay drop hurts. But the 40+ yrd catch he made in w 3 or 4 defenders around him on 3rd down negates that bad play. He had some good yardage. I believe there were 3 or 4 other dropped balls too.

Still no #3 WR... sigh... when will we see Moore or Marshall?

LOL scrambled Egnew

And I came accross this exchange from OdinStank, Now lets see, Odin Stank Swears he "Jammed" With Duane Allmen who passed away back in 1968.HUMMMM, Odin claims he's only 45 but "JAMMED" with a guy that died 44 years ago??, Odin, Your a eather a great guitar player who at age 2 "Jammed" With duane allmen or your just passing more B.S like when you post about your "HOTTIES"...
Which one is it?
I'll bet the latter.

Dude, NOBODY here want you here. You obviously don't get how dumb and despised youare. Do you seriously think anybody wants to hear about your **FABRICATED** bullshyt at a time like this? Another TESTAMENT to how utterly dumb you are.

We won today, NOBODY wants to here yopur crap. You can't troll about how bad we are, so you're posting stuff you've made up about mr(we ALL know and we ALL despise you-Go Away-lol).

PS: I was hoping you got picked up in that prostitution sweep they did this weekend(sigh....). Fvcking FeeAgg-Tard, GO AWAY-ROTFLMFAO!

LAST WEEK EVERYONE WAS CRITIZICING THIS TEAM. NOW EVERYONE IS ON THE BAND WAGON. LAST WEEK I CAME EVEN THIS WEEK THE DOLPHINS WON, I BEAT THE ODDS I ROUTE TO THE CAYMAN,ISL"...........I WROTE FROM THE BEGUINNING OF THE SEASON THIS TEAM IS GOOOOOOOD. DEFENSE IS ONE OF THE BEST IN THE NFL..........
TANNEHILL HELL OF QB WITHOUT ANY SUPPORT.
COACHES NOT THE BEST BUT YOU CAN SEE THEY HAVE A PLAN IN PLACE, IS UP TO THE PLAYERS TO EXECUTE.........

Question: On the play Cincinnati punted to Miama and the ball was ruled settled on the 3 yd line there was mush discussion on whether the Cinci player was standing on the goal line when he touched the ball. Fine, forget that. The ball clearly was above the line when it was touched.

going the other way that would have been called a TD. Shouldn't it also have been ruled a TB?

If you can help...thx...JackK

The player who **ATTEMPTED** to down it, was clearly in the end zone. There was CLEARKY indisputable Proof that his Heel was on the Line.

The NFL's bias against the ONLY Perfect Team ever doesn't stop at the Desks of ESPN or at the articles from NFL . COM. This NOTORIOUS bias continues right on down to the field and most of it's officiating crews.

But much like I always taught my Pop Warner Teams, GODD Teams overcome BAD officiating.

Reshad Jones put the exclamation point on it today. He showed his Teammates how to **FINISH** a Freaking Game!

A truly GREAT **TEAM** Win today. Undoubtedly, the BEST 2-3 in the NFL put the rest of the league on notice today. Don't look past the Dolphins if they're on the Schedule!

ValHalla!!!!

(PS: How pitifully pathetic, Mando's Trained Monkey can't condemn the team today, so he's posting crap he MADE UP from months ago-LOL. Way to show your TRUE COLORS FeeAgg Tard!)

(PSS: Gigs up, Mando warned you during the last 3:00 Live Blog. Everybody knows it and NOBODY can stand you nor do they want you here. The Living Breathing Definition of **NOT WANTED**-ROTFLMFAO!)

Still in the cellar.

Still in the cellar.

Well......try being a GOOD BU-OY!

Then MAYBE Mommy will let you out!

It could be worse.

At least you not "In The Closet" like Mando's Good Thang!

the defense finally held own to one. this team plays hard and proud to be dolphin fan. secondary is thin but they matched our front four play. hope that continues regardless of who they start ans sit. tannehill had a solid game and no turnovers. my applause!!

I still can't get my head wrapped around this one. The Team stepped up today. It was far from perfect, but we all saw tons of Heart. The Heart exceeded talent levels across the roster. Thats what makes this so impressive to me.

Even when BACK Up Carroll(who played a great game) went down. Everybody was expecting RJ Stanford to be targetted and exploited.

On his FIRST Play off the bench he got credited with the Tackle(or the assist). Either way, he came in the game and made a good play right off the bat!

Philbin and Crew have this thing MOVING!!!!

Coyle needs alot of credit for shutting the Bengals down without one of his starting corners. Great job by him. Pay Starks already!

So far I've picked 1 loser, Broncos lost to Pats, last week I picked 2 losers. Ray, you're keeping score, keep me honest, I can't remember, I've imbibed too much!

i wish i could go into all the old blog posts and put it in the face of some of the haters. of course most have either shut up, toned it down, or completely disappeared.

i've not see much of jacksparrow, home, odineye, are the all cap aloco? it's so nice without them!!

the draft class from last year and this year is absolutely going to keep ireland around for next season. since parcells left the drafts have improved. hopefully we will have enough cap space to make better FA moves. ireland has had to bargain shop the last 2 season do to parcells overspending. i think jeffy has done a fine job the last two years. added a lot of talent in the draft and should have the pick and cap space to really jump up next season. a new team in new uniforms. i still think we can make a run this year. we have a favorable schedule with only 4 really tough gems left. pats twice, 49ers and seahawks. the rest are winnable. if we can get a win in one of those other 4 we are gold.

Yeah, it is pretty interesting.

We basically held Andre Johnson in check. Then Fitzgerald and now AJ Green.

Arian who? Darren Mc-What? Don't even mention any Running Backs!

The Tight Ends have had some success, but not anything near who they dogged us out in recent years. Granted we haven't faced the BEST, but we've faced some pretty good ones so far.

The biggest surprise of all(for me and my Dinner of Crow Stew)? Tannehill's getting "it" and "it" doesn't look like flashes in the pan either. Just steadily getting better from one week to the next. Anything and everything he's been criticized for since the seasons start, he's come out and promptly corrected.

I'm still holding my breath, but one thing I love......you don't see him making the same mistake twice!

Think about how this team looked during the pre-season. Would you have EVER suspected?

I'm gonna have another GREAT Bourbon on the Rocks and try to calm the Fvck DOWN!

Val-Fvcking-Hall-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

BOYCOTT THE FINS UNTIL IRELAND IS FIRED! WE'RE TIRED OF THE LOSING! HELP MAKE A CHANGE!

the refs sucked

Jaison, you need to keep notes, or just make it up. No one remembers if you make it up and throw it in their face!! It's all been said, done and regurgitated!!!

Listen you KNOW NOTHING DWEEB, I haven't seen shyt from you Pixie Sticls and I wish I didn't have to see your dumbshyt right now.

You're a Freaking Troll and you know it.

Including my name with your buddies above?

Pfsssssssssssssssspt! You impeach your own credibility right there.

SKIPPED and **TO BE** IGNORED.

I've tried to be cool with you Jaison, on MANY-MANY occasions. All anyone gets from you is the same old Know Nothing condescending BS.

The only time you post anything it's stating the obvious(Duh) and/or trying to start shyt(and then run)with someone.

Usually both. So, No Thanks Dip Shyt, take a Flying Fvcking Leap why don't you?

Jaison condescendingly refers to the Haters and looking up their posts.

Then he goes on to Praise Ireland and lay all blame on Parcells.

Which is all well and good. Except all summer, Jaison was one of the biggest haters calling for Ireland to be fired almost daily!

Pot Meet Kettle ;)

Your Trite Condescending Gibberish isn't fooling anyone.

Nice catch Redsky-LOL.

He's trying the old 22 Skiddo ;)

Trying to hide his stripes mid stream-ROTFLMFAO!

Just like Home did. Home hing himself here. At least he had the decency to start using a new sign in name.

"SOMEBOY", I won't mention any names(I'll spell it though J-A-I-S-O-N - LOL), is trying to re-write History.

Dolphins play a complete game and are rewarded with a much deserved victory
http://phinsnews.com/complete-game/

Shula,

Save for a couple of field goals and were 4-1!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.............CARPENTER(Still vigorously shaking my fist!).

Ireland needs to bring in competition for Carpenter,,,,,that jackass almost cost us another game.
the refs suck.......that was a horrible called game.

our D-FENZ is hott.....great win fellows. the rams and fisher are in our sights.......

Glad to see gaffney getting involved in the offense! He will be releasd next week.

I THINK MIAMI HAS A LETHAL DEFENSE. WE ARE IN THE NFL TOP 5 DEFENSES AND THE CRAZY THING IS WE ARE GETTING BETTER.. CINCY RADIO SAYS CAMERON WAKE IS THE BEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER IN THE NFL! MIAMI CRUSHES THE RAMS NEXT WEEK 34-10

Sweet Victory. Probably the sweetest for me in the past 20 yrs. Because YG and I know now that we will win at least 6 more Games this year and might threaten NE for the Division Crown.

Brees sets a record, 48 TDs, in straight games, notable, for a guy with longer NFL seasons, more games and playoff games per season. Should be an asterisk. Credit where credit is due. I don't care if Johnny U's son was there.....

Armando you hate on the dolphins a lot! why don't you go write for the jets it the pats. Geez Louise can't you appreciate a win! Sour ass!

You were saying what made me think Philbin was a better Coach than Sparano, Armando? I replied, Aristocracy. Now after this Game you might have a more concrete answer.

LV is on to Us now, also.

f Jeff Fisher! I don't understand why we went after him! he had only six wining seasons in 17 yrs! he was gonna do the same crap he did Tennessee and Houston mediocrity
