CINCINNATI -- Last time they were on the road, the Dolphins blew an 11-point lead. They have a 13-point lead now.
But the Bengals have the ball at the Miami 3 to start the fourth quarter and are threatening.
Can Miami hold on to win?
We'll find out as the live blog continues in the comments section. Join me there.

Great game. I can't beleive it. Great days are ahead for the Dolphins. We have a great defense, a great young QB, and deep at RB.
The missery is over.

INT!!!
hey now!
beautiful coverage.
We should have won this game by 2 TD's, and I STILL feel Philbin needs to 'splain the FG call.
FINS WIN .
As they deserved to.

This is NOT the same team as we've become accustomed to seeing lose in EXACT spots like this one.
Credit the players & the coaching staff. Nice to win one of these.

Posted by: FinFan in CT | October 07, 2012 at 04:11 PM
overall, Tanny's best game.
4 drops, or he'd have a QB rating over 100.
Looks like we need to make a TE out of Gaffney.
Enjoyed the hang folks.
be safe and happy.
Thanks Mando.

The beginning of a winning streak?
Are we learning to close out a game?
Yes! Silent week for the trolls coming up!
Way to go all around!
The Defense finally stopped somebody!

It looks like Ireland's draft picks are coming through for him now. Smith, Carroll, Jones, Misi, Vernon, Odrick. Great picks! The defense is top notch.

3 of 11 games won decided by 7 points last 2 yrs!! That's a crazy stat and it has taken at least 5 years from my life!!

Impressive!! This team's playing some GREAT football! We're WAY ahead of where we should be this year at this stage of the season. With ANY luck we're sitting at 4-1 right now. I LOVE the heart and hussle this team shows every week out.
Stick it HATERS! I'm guessing it'll be crickets in here tonight. You can think of your hateful comments for the week. Your 'fire Ireland', 'cut Thomas', 'Tannehill major reach at 8'. Keep it coming haters....you're hilarious!

Carrol stepped up when needed.

What a foolish, stupid comment.
What, you saved that for the end of the game?
Posted by: IMAWriter | October 07, 2012 at 04:12 PM
just shows sometimes you play well and lose(last week), other times you play hard, never give in and can pull out a win without stting records on offence.
great win for the TEAM

Mando,
So much for Tannehill's turnover 'problems.' Credit the O-line for protecting him. When they do that he makes good decisions with the football.
Posted by: We Have RB's | October 07, 2012 at 04:13 PM
Finally the dolphins finish a game by making plays. Great road win for a young team. 2 plays away from being 4-1. Another solid game from tannehill. Can't say enough about this draft class. Let's get miller more involved

We WON guys. A win in October no less. Feels sooooo good.
Posted by: The Biocentric | October 07, 2012 at 04:13 PM
No turnovers by T-Hill!!! Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought he would progress this much so fast!
Posted by: robbyhernz | October 07, 2012 at 04:14 PM
Cincy let us off the hook, as Miami tried valiantly to blow it. Should be 4-1. Too bad, could have been a fun surprise year. Mike Sherman needs his head examined. His 4th quarter play calling is awful. That shovel pass on 3rd and 12 was a nightmare.

Tanny playin CLEAN football...
You said it Dan!
Posted by: Powhitetrash | October 07, 2012 at 04:14 PM
B33RCA,
We are exactly what our record say we are. 2-3 not 4-1 One game at a time we can improve upon what our record says we are.
Right now our record says we're now 2-3. That far better than 1-4.

Robby,
Me neither. This kid is legit. Coach Sherman did well.
Posted by: We Have RB's | October 07, 2012 at 04:16 PM
Andrew,
How do you figure Cincy let us off the hook?
We spotted them a 6-0 lead with 17 unanswered points. To the sane in thinking, we nearly let Cincy off the hook.

T-hill was more of a game manager today. Played well enough to move the ball despite below average running game and just average passing game.
He played better than Dalton today. see below.
T-hill
0 Tds, 0 INTs
223 yds
65.4 compl pct.
92.3 qb rating
Dalton
1 Td, 2 INTs
234 yds
60.5 compl. pct.
63.5 qb rating

When Sean Smith does not melt down in two games running, we are on our way to better days ahead ladies and gentlemen.
You feeling better, Mando?

YG,
Team keeps getting better but I agree with you. Sure we COULD have been 4-1 but we're not. We also made a LOT of mistakes in those games against the Cardinals & the Jets. Other than two early turnovers we made far fewer mistakes.
Posted by: We Have RB's | October 07, 2012 at 04:20 PM
O-Line, for the most part played an excellent game.
No tipped passes.
We can beat the Rams, if we can run. Cortland Finnegan is an assassin for them. We must stay away from his side of the field. After watching him here with the Titans for years, the key is to not let him bait you into retaliating when he hits late and such.
later!

I am still bummed. We should be 4-1 and on top of the division. Period.

Here's to Sean Smith and our defensive backs for keeping this game under control!! Another step forward for TanneHill to.
Posted by: bobbyd12 | October 07, 2012 at 04:22 PM
Mando either our coach or the media has to address this officiating we`ve been dealing with , yeah we luckily won today dispite them trying to keep us from it , I know the players can be fined for bringing it up , but its definitely a problem , they whole momentum shift in the cardinals game hinged ion the no interference call on our first drive after the half , that gave the cardinals life that had the right call been made we`d of scored and prolly kept them off the board at all
