Naanee remains on the Dolphins at this hour

Throughout the day many of my twitter followers were asking me when the Dolphins would get rid of Legedu Naanee. They were also asking the same about Dan Carpenter.

Carpenter missed a kick against Arizona Sunday, his third in two weeks, while Naanee had a memorable fumble that was scooped up by Patrick Peterson and returned to the Dolphins one yard line. The mistake was erased when Arizona quarterback Kevin Kolb threw an interception in the end zone two plays later.

Nonetheless, this evening the questions about Naanee's future took on a different approach. My followers were claiming a report said Naanee had been cut.

Well, that was a fake twitter report from a bogus account. And as of this evening, Naanee remains on the team.

"The Miami Dolphins front office has not had any discussions with me nor any of my six clients on the team today about any roster moves," agent David Canter texted me.

So move along.

Nothing to see here as of this moment.

if any of ya'll tink that marino wants the phins 2 win an sb with out him at qb,
then i gotz some oregano to sell ya'll.
lmao !

You're post is typical for you Dashi, it lacks clarity or common sense!

I'm not the one posting page long ASSumptions trying to convince the simpletons here that I know something. THAT'S ALL YOU!

I'm calling you out for your error. In that regard, that is a fact.

Don't H8 cause I'm calling you out for being as useful as a snapple cap. In other words, useless.

Stop whining you crybaby. Take your lumps like a man!

JMMEISTER,

Agreed. Firing and Cutting Naanee Might Not be the Way to go.

BUT HE SHOULDN'T PLAY 1 MORE DOWN ON THE FINS!!

And to the IReland Haters!! Yep, ur stuck every game we play like this is just cementing his position!

Ross is a Business Man! If Ireland Shows him a Proper Plan that will fix this thing in a Couple of Seasons! Ross will Listen!

It started with Hiring Philbin!
Then Drafting a QB in the 1st!
Fixing the Line!
Getting rid of The Bad Team Players and Getting Value in return!
At the End of the Year Ireland will have fixed the Cap!

Why Hire another GM? When Ireland has already fixed The Error of Parcells and Him! And This team is Trending UP!!

T-Sizzle Saved Irelands Dolphin Career!!!

Dashi claims Irescum is better without Parcells?? TOO FRIGGIN FUNNY!! Dashi = Biggest moron on the blog

Ireland has fixed the Error of Parcells?? ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

use him on st'a only.
rt = yoyo. up down up down.
bush will have 2 have another bux 60 4 the phins 2 have a chance at cincy since it will be a down week for the qb.
just like in college.

So, Dashi.....why does the team get worse every day since Parcells left? LOL

DASHI = MORON

2 td's + 6 int's 4 rt.
if rt can switch that around the next 5 games the phinz can be 6-3.
tooooooooooooooooooooooooooooking... !

homer homer homer.
lol

The get rid of Carpenter people really need to stop and take a deep breath. He has been one of our only really consistent players over the last 3 years. Kickers are going to miss sometimes.

But Naanee, who knows. We have other wr's that can make plays. Why not just allow some playing time for the other wr's. Let Naanee see if he can improve enough to get playing time, if not then let him go.

With Marshall and Davis we are 3-1 right now without a doubt.

ziggy gotz a point.

stupid fuging ireland.
stupid stupid stupid...

Tannehiil is not a choker like Marino was.

Maybe even 4-0.

Again Corny one-linerS!!!

Yep, Keep acting like a Punk!!

hmmm. does houston stack the los with marsh on the o.?.
no.

4-0 and irecorn is queen of the mensas'.
lol

Hartline has looked great, but I'd love to see Marshall Hartline and Bess in the slot. This offense would be pretty stout. Plus factor in Bush and that's a scary offense for most defenses. 1-3 sucks and moral victories do not exist but if we can somehow pick up a win in Cincy and a win at home against the Rams, I'd be very happy and confident going into the bye week 3-3. Hell if you told me before the season we'd be 3-3 at the bye I'd be ecstatic. This team and its young qb are improving and with a clear #1 wr his improvement would excel even quicker. Another TE would be great too, perhaps take a look at Winslow? He is a better receiver than Fasano but a mediocre blocker, which is fine because Fasano is the opposite.

Blog down the Drain today!!

Someone must be decompressing!

Tick Tock

any day Now that old Clock Stops!

Yeah, Dashi's a Poet and U Blow it!

Dashi out until Mando posts something New!

It's UR BLOG FOR THE REST OF THE DAY TROLL!

Shoulda woulda coulda. Anyways, it's time to move on from Armstrong and Nanee, and either give some young practice squad guys a chance or look for a trade or free agent. Plaxico Burress anyone? Solves red zone target problem for sure.

i'm sure j. phil will make changes.

Dashi thinks Philbin will surpass Shula as the

greatest coach ever!

Even though the Phins are 1-3, a closer look at the numbers, shows plenty to be excited about, Check out Jimmy Bourbon's analysis at phinsnews.com

Get D Thomas off my team.

Dashi, has Tannehill fixed the errors of Marino?

T-Sizzle Saved Irelands Dolphin Career!!!
=====================================================
You make a good point; The Dolphins have fixed the salary cap issue for 2013 acquisitions. The problem;
Free agents do not want to play for Ireland. He is infamous around the NFL. The Dolphins want to correctly rely on the draft but still will have to acquire one or two good F.A. for experience. Moreover do you really trust him to make the final decision on the number of skill players that the Dolphins need to draft in 2013. Ireland and Parcells are clueless when it comes to skill players. You are correct though the drafting of Tannehill makes him look better but the mistakes were so profound that the Dolphins should not take the risk on trusting Ireland. Pat White, Patrick Turner, Chad Henne, Gates etc...Drafting is an imperfect science but Jeff has made to many mistakes to be trusted. There is no expertise when Ireland makes a decision, just a gamble that sometimes works.

promichael,

They don't? How do you know that? Are you in the business? Works as agent for one of these guys? Or are you just making shyte up that you might have heard through the media.

Ryan Clark goes back to Pittsburgh and now all of a sudden no FAs on the face of the planet want to 'play for Ireland'. Yeah OK, bud. I'll buy that. The reality is the Dolphins will have money to spend and guys will be exciting about a hot young QB and HC, should things continue the way they are going.

Although obviously no Mike Nolan, I have no beef with Coyle either. Up to now.

promichael,

One of other point. You asked the question about 'do you trust Ireland?'. Yeah I do. I trust him in combination with Philbin and Sherman and the scouting staff to get it right. Everyone wants to blame Ireland but what is it your blaming him for? Pat White and Henne? Ehmm, wasn't Parcells onside with those moves? Wasn't the scouting staff?

What I trust him with is the wisdom to stay away from clowns like Dez Bryant (more drops last night btw), Carson Palmer, Kyle Orton, Kenny Britt and others and to jetison guys that typcially come up small when needed in Davis and Marshall.

I cringe to think what this offense would look like if Bess, Hartline, or Fasano got dinged up & had to miss any time. We have ZERO depth at both positions & this is where Ireland will fall on his own sword;

1) Drafted Gates & Clay in 2011
2) Signed Naanee
3) Drafted Egnew in the 3rd round & then drafted Cunningham & Matthews.
4) Instead of making a trade or signing a vet he brought back Armstrong who showed us why the Redskins cut him.

Just based on that alone I'm not sure how ANYONE can defend this GM. Not to mention that this will be our 4th consecutive losing season & outside of Pouncey the 2011 draft has been a bunch of non-contributors &/or disappointments

What has bothered the trolls most here most is RT. First, because Ireland was right in selecting him at #8. Second, because they still have visions of Marino and RT is threatening those.

Tool of the month:

CRAIG M.

WHRBs,

I agree depth at WR is a problem. No question. But there are options. Burress, Gaffney, Stallworth, T.O., dare I say Ohco. None great options perhaps but they could be pretty in if there were injuries.

I think you have to think about what this year was about. Was it about getting a playoff spot and winning the division or was it about seeing what we've got before making decisions? This coaching staff didn't know these players very well and guys like Gates, Wallace and Moore were given a chance to step up. None to date have and two are gone. So now we wait. I'm totally fine getting rid of Marshall because keeping him here would have hurt Tannehill. That's what Philbin and Ireland decided and I think we have to respect that. The reality is it was highly unlikely we were going to make the playoffs this season with a rookie QB, new HC and new coaching staff and systems. Yes we did it before but was it likely? No. At the end of this season I think everyone will have a much better idea of what we have and don't have.

Better days are ahead.

THE BLOG,

Craig,

I have to respectfully disagree with you. I trust Philbin & Sherman not Ireland. You honestly believe that Ireland would have made the call w/o Sherman on Tannehill??? My guess is that Ireland would have taken Coples. Plus credit Philbin & Sherman for Tannehill's meteoric improvement/development.

Take the Matt Flynn situation. Whose evaluation would you trust??? Philbin's or Ireland & his super scouts....This team has started to show signs of life in spite of Ireland being the GM not b/c of him.

Listen, Fidel, you and I go back a long time. Just by drafting RT Ireland has solidified his position for at least 2 years. Verdad?

Marino will have to move from South Florida if Tannehill wins a SB.Lmao

Dashi had something real pretty for the troll to read but it must've got denied by the powers at be for using the N word.

Don't worry SweetHeart is was short and Sweet!

On Troll impersonating Dashi. No Caoch will ever Surpass Shula!! Philbin is a Good Coach just as long as he becomes the 2nd best Coach in Fin History Dashi is OK!

U need to win over 380+ Wins, a Real Perfect Season! Multiple SuperBowl Rings!

And Monte To some T-Hill just needs to win a Superbowl to pass Marino! He Doesn't have to be the Most Prolific Passer of All-Time!

Dashi is even Simpler! Who got Drafted Higher? Yes, that means nothing. But it's a Start.

It's the Lebron James/ MJ Debate.

MJ is the Greatest, But if Lebron wins 5 More titles the Opinion Changes. And It starts at the Beginning. Lebron got Drafted #1 Overall as a 18 yr old HS Senior. MJ Was a 21yr old Junior when he got Drafted #3 Overall.

The Reason Dashi feels Marino is ok with T-Hill. He feels the Fins Finally haven't disrespected him with some Scrub or Old Veteran and GOT A REAL REPLACEMENT! A 1st Rd QB!

If U are Going to Replace a Marino or a Peyton Manning U do it with a 1st rd pick!

Out of Respect. Else Karma's a Bit$h. Dolphin Fans Know!

Craig, shut your tool mouve.

dashi, james has taken the 1st few steps towrds mj's crown btw.

Craig,

Other than Gaffney I wouldn't even consider the names you threw out & forget making the playoffs--I'm talking about Ireland's failure to help Tannehill develop this season with the personnel decisions at both WR & TE. It's just pathetic & unacceptable.

I believe better days are ahead but it's not b/c of Ireland. I believe we need a GM that has either been developed from a winning organization (not the Cowgirls) or has already demonstrated (like a Bill Polian) how to assemble talent.

Bottom line---You can't look at the 2011 draft & say that it was a success b/c it wasn't. I don't believe a GM has ever survived four straight losing seasons so something has to give.

people, get it in your heads. Marshall was not traded because he was a bad receiver, he was traded because he was a bad Miami Dolphin and had no patience for anybody not named Jay Cutler and publicly voiced that opinion during the Pro Bowl. Was I the only one that heard it??? This is not how a pro operates. The only problem with marshall not being here is I wish they got more than two thirds in return but the problem is when you get stabbed by your wife, punch a girl out at a club, speak publicly about how bad your teammates are, other teams hear this too and don't trip over themselves over throwing over value.

In short you couldn't bring in another young Qb while this virus was still on the team. And as far as I see the team is operating even better on offense without him so I'm not sure what the fuss is about this piece of garbage.

Its the reason why Ireland could squeeze Indy for a 2nd. Vontae for all his unprofessionalism did at least not become a huge disruption to the defense. he was just too inconsistent as a pro to merit the big contract in the opinion of this team. And best to move him for something of significant value today than get nothing tomorrow.

Listen, don't fuc- around with that Guy. He's crazy. He might not like being involved with these dip-shi-s here and might order TMH to shut down or change this Blog. Truly. It wouldn't be the 1st time it has happened.

Free agents don't want to play for Ireland? Hmmm, karlos Dansby, Kevin burnett, Cam Wake, Randy Starks, Richard Marshall, Paul Soliai at minimum all had options but deceided to sign with Miami ....

Next ....

oscar, and if RT throes 10 TD and 22 picks. Feel the same way?

Mark,

All very valid points BUT Marshall on top of all of his baggage also dropped too many passes. He looked great last night & he looks more comfortable with Cutler & the Bears offense.

I don't begrudge Ireland for trading Marsahll or Vontae for that matter. I begrudge Ireland for not finding ANY new WR's or TE's that can catch the football.

It's not me, Fidel, it's the People that decides.

Here is an even crazier question!

How have the Jets not signed Burress?

Makes you wonder!!!

blink I agree the changes that will probably be made are internal not external like if Moore is ready I think he plays special teams also he will be activated this week and possibly Naanee on inactive list. But remember they have an investment in Naanee in terms of his salary cap number so unless they are very SURE they can get someone that will fit in HERE better than Naanee I think this blog is to get people to post Their opinions, because things just dont happen in that way at least I dont think they do.I am on the outside looking in like the rest of you on here.

WHRBS, when your biggest criticisms of a GM are his 3rd - 7th round picks not turning out, that's pretty good. As discussed here many times, 3rd picks have a 10% chance of becoming a 3 year starter in this league since 1999. They are crapshoots. In drafting, you ahve to be good on your first and second round picks.

Ireland had a hand in ...

Jake Long, Sean Smith, Jared Odrick, Koa Misi, Mike Pouncey, Daniel thomas, Ryan Tannehill, and Johnathan Martin.

The use he's got in the first two rounds versus the rest of the NFL is awesome - top 5 in the NFl during that time. Show me someone who's turned up more. The list will be very short ...

In addition, he found Brian hartline in the fourth, Fasano for a fourth, Bess undrafted, Wake undrafted, Incognito free agent. The guy has done well.

And don't look now but we have been making explosive plays this year. Reggie Bush, Brian hartline, Davone bess all have made big plays.

he is nowhere near as bad as most of you write. Not even close.

WHRB at 12:36, valid argument ... but if the draft was today, I wouldn't even be looking at WR in the first round. Not with the defense in the shape it is ....

"Here is an even crazier question!

How have the Jets not signed Burress?

Makes you wonder!!!"

Clipboard,

Not really. Burress was a MAJOR pain in the a@@ when he played for the Giants.

It's funny almost EVERY single WR guys have wanted this team to sign, the time has been wise to stay away from.

Shall we count the ones together?

Dez Bryant. Great game last night, Dez. Cost your team a few points. Good work on the drops! He has a full time babysitter and he beats his Mom up. Yeah he would have been a GREAT add. Did I mention the Cowboys record is NO better with him in the lineup than when he was there before. Tell me again how it was a mistake, how Ireland should have been fired for not picking him? How he was classless to ask about his Mom. BOZOs!

Santonio Holmes. Oh yeah, wish we had this guy on the team. Quit on his team, last year and had more fire in the locker room than on the field. Another good call.

Braylon Edwards. Yeah he's really eating it up with everyone's favourite 3rd roound QB.

Kenny Britt. Can't stay out of trouble off the field, can't stay healthy to get on the field.

Justin Blackmon. MIA so far.

Brandon Marshall. Always steps up when his team is crusising to victory but can't be counted on when it really matter. Adios.

Who else you got?

BTW Mr Sal knows which buttons to push on this blog to get a lot of on here riled up and ready to throw out the baby with the bathwater. Some of you are hoping to impeach both Carpenter and Naanee.

promichael,

Another day, another pro ireland rant from Craig M. LAUGHABLE!

WHY DO YOU ONLY EVER MENTION WHITE & HENNE?

Cause they are the only mistakes you can pin back on Tuna? How Convenient!

2W,

Yep, James Took that 1st Major Step. T-Hill took a Step against AZ also. He Broke a Marino Rookie Record. Now, no one is expecting for T-Sizzle to throw for 5,000+ Yds. But T-hill looks like he's a reason to watch this Season.

Yes, we have no Wr's. Bess is never Hurt and Hartline Plays when the Real Money Counts! Heck the other Teams in the Division only have 1 WR! The Jets(And Holmes is Hurt), The Pats w/Welker, The Bills w/S.Johnson.

We need more weapons but T-Hill is showing that old adage Qb's Make Wr's! Not the other Way around Jay Cutler!

U DON'T WANT UR QB TO FALL IN LOVE WITH ONE WR! Sherman is smart he puts Hartline on 1 side and Bess on the Other. T-hill will be forced to look at both sides of the field. T-Hill's Progressions have gotten better throughout the Season.

he is nowhere near as bad as most of you write. Not even close.

Mark,

This will be his 4th straight losing season as GM okay??? If he isn't replaced at the end of this season than Steven Ross needs an intervention...
