You already know the Jets are flappin' gums about how they have Reggie Bush intimidated and worried about getting hurt based on the last meeting in which the Dolphins running back suffered a knee injury.
You know LaRon Landry said incidiary things and referenced head-hunting. Well, so did Aaron Maybin.
"We want to knock him out but we want to do it legally," Maybin told ESPNNewYork.
I predicted that kind of stuff would be answered today by the Dolphins. Well, the Dolphins are answering.
Enter Dolphins center Mike Pouncey.
"He won't even play enough to hurt Reggie," Pouncey said of the reserve Jets linebacker. "I don't even want to talk about talk about him. He's a joke."
Game on.
Pouncey also made the point that if he wants to get at Maybin it'll have to be on special teams.
Ziiing.
By the way, the Jets have made 469 tackles this season. Maybin has accounted for one of those.
Mild mannered Richie Incognito (sarcasm), meanwhile, was more cryptic in his commentary.
"We hear all the talking going on," Incognito said. "We understand it's part of Jets week and all that. But all the talking stops on Sunday."
As Randy Starks chimed in, "We do our talking on the field."
Coach Joe Philbin, predictably, wants nothing to do with the trash talking. In his typically calm manner he said, "It's a free country. They can say what they want."

Why we talking about HENNE? He gone bye bye

The miami defensive line is made of some dudes I really wouldn't want to be stuck in alley with. Gotta love this team, they're going to plant Sanchez and fertilize his ass

jets have no players that scare the Dolphins or their fans. They are weak. Come to grips Lageman. You have no talent. Beating us a few weeks back was lucky. Fins dominated for most of the game. The team has grown significantly since then. Get the Kleenex ready

That Stephen Ross is a cheap SOB.

Can anyone tell me why we are not using Lamar Miller. The kid shows a lot of promise and he never ran the ball last week
Posted by: Finfan66 | October 26, 2012 at 09:22 AM
Maybin is still in the NFL?? Who knew...
Posted by: Semi in your backside | October 26, 2012 at 09:23 AM
Man, too bad I will be in NY next week for the Giants Steelers for a family outing instead of this week. Stupid organizer is a Steelers die hard.
Dolphins make their statement this week and announce their arrival.
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | October 26, 2012 at 09:27 AM
Finfan66,
They only ran the ball 17 times, hardly enough to gas Bush. If they game plan getting Bush the ball 20+ times and then only run it 17 times then he didnt fit into the plan. From what i have read him not getting into the game more is based on his pass blocking not being up to par.
Posted by: mattybfromNC | October 26, 2012 at 09:30 AM
DC...
No 3 point game here...
Philbin is one of the BETTER minds in the NFL....you will find out along with the rest of the NFL...you can't give Philbin 2 weeks to prepare for you....AND...he has on game on film already....lol...
FINS WIN BIG...

mattybfromNC, thank you I just thought that with Bush being slowed with a brides knee and Thomas out they would have and maybe should have given the kid a chance.
Posted by: Finfan66 | October 26, 2012 at 09:39 AM
so oscar...are you putting $$ down on the Fins & taking the points?
Posted by: NHFINSFAN | October 26, 2012 at 09:39 AM
That should have been bad knee
Posted by: Finfan66 | October 26, 2012 at 09:40 AM
General rule of thumb is that the home field advantage is worth 3 points so if this game was on neutral turf, Dolphins would actually be only slight favourites. Seems like taking the Dolphins and the points is pretty solid value.
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | October 26, 2012 at 09:43 AM
With hurricane Sandy moving up the coast I predict that wind will be a factor in Sunday's game.
While the storm is not forecasted to hit NJ/NY until Monday...its effects will be felt across a wide area.
Ground & Pound Baby !!!!
PS - Hey Dan Carpenter, start practicing windy kicks today while the storm is in South Florida.
Posted by: NHFINSFAN | October 26, 2012 at 09:49 AM
I don't bet on Dolphins Games. I'm very partisan.
Posted by: oscar canosa | October 26, 2012 at 09:56 AM

Posted by: Mark in Toronto | October 26, 2012 at 11:07 AM
Yes one of my favorite teams to watch the Jets beat up on is coming to town and bringing a storm with them. The Murderlands will be rainy and windy on Sunday with winds 20-25 gusting to 40 and a highly motivated Jets team in a must win game before their bye will be primed to mangle the Dolphins. The storm will keep it close and low scoring though with the Jets overpowering the "Guppies" 20-13. Your Pro Bowl Candidate (giggle giggle) Brandon Fields will have fits kicking into the treacherous winds at Met Life Stadium. I hope the Dolphin fans in attendance are treated as rudely as Jets fans are treated at Miami's fish tank.

Posted by: Lego My Lageman | October 26, 2012 at 11:22 AM
lol Sammy Jets.. you mean Giants stadium that they let you play on? Since your jets team is obsolete they wont let the wets have their own stadium. Just a reminder, Miami is used to playing in hurricane type weather. Sanchez will be scared his make up will run since its raining. Your Rex Ryan D ranks 30th against the run.. pathetic and the ground and pound offense that Sparano brought up from Miami is worse than it was last year in Miami. Green will have fun getting through an actual Dline that is ranked 5th against the rush... expect sanchez laying on his back most of the game with atleast 2 picks and before you say Tannehill will be under pressure or whatever hot air is to come.. hes top in the league when it comes to pass % against pressure.. The rookie QB is already better through 6 games than Sanchez and Tebow..

NY JETS = S FLA'S TEAM
Posted by: ITS TRUE | October 26, 2012 at 11:23 AM
ITS TRUE.. ofcourse when all of your old people get tired of that trashhole they live in and go to retire in Sunny S. Florida where theres no state tax
Posted by: mattybfromNC | October 26, 2012 at 11:25 AM
Most overrated players in the NFl as voted on by the players....
1. Tim Tebow
2. Mark Sanchez
That is all. I heard this Sunday the Jets will be inducting Mark Gastineau into the Jets ring of Honor. Is that true?
I hear mark and Fireman Ed will be doing their very own Sack Exchange in the locker room after the game. Teabags galore.
Posted by: Mark in Toronto | October 26, 2012 at 11:33 AM
The Jets organization is pure garbage from top to bottom, and always has been.
Posted by: The Fan Base, all of us | October 26, 2012 at 11:39 AM
The thing that makes that worse Mark in Toronto is that its voted on my the players.. so their own colleagues that go to battle against them say they are overrated. And yet the jets fans think they have their franchise QB, and what makes it even better so does the HC, GM, and Owner. lol garbage franchise.. The Fins may have been on a bad skid due to bad desicion making personel wise in the past but at the very least we are not the skum of the NFL like the jets.. Borrowing another teams field to play, trading for a player thats a gimmeck and then no using him, being over on their salary cap and having nothing to show for it
Posted by: mattybfromNC | October 26, 2012 at 11:41 AM
yadda, yadda, yadda,
Posted by: DragonFly34 | October 26, 2012 at 11:44 AM
I dunno. Mark Sanchez has accomplished a lot in his short time in the league.
Posted by: oscar | October 26, 2012 at 11:48 AM
You mean the getting to the two acf chamionship games that he got there because of their defense those two years?
Posted by: mattybfromNC | October 26, 2012 at 11:53 AM
Mark in Toronto...
I saw that this morning during my work out....
That could be a HUGE motivting factor (not for Sanchez...but for Ryan and Tebow)....
Ryan has a HUGE EGO...and he may want to show the "players"...what Tebow can do....
I don't like throwing meat to a hungry lion....
Our player's and coaches have done an EXCELLENT job or taking the high road...and not engaging in the jets sophmoric trash talking...
and now this...
I don't like it...
Posted by: Kris | October 26, 2012 at 11:56 AM
matty, the jets are a joke and their fans are sacks of shite. Add to that, the northeast media is a joke giving this team so much attention. No coincidence that ESPN is in the northeast, is there???
Sparano belongs with the rest of those clowns. FUKK em all

Lego, that was a list of the Top 100 from last year and this year his own colleagues voted him most overrated. Pathetic organization always looking up to their big brother the Giants. Your team isnt even headquartered in NY but NJ.. So you share a stadium with a team that actually matters and you are actually located in NJ.. Pathetic
