Well, the Dolphins offense came to life toward the end of the first half and went on an impressive TD march, culminated by Reggie Bush's 21-yard TD.
On that score, center Mike Pouncey led the run with a sweep while tight end Charles Clay also got a great cut block at the line of scrimmage. The Dolphins led, 7-0.
But then something went wrong with a defense that had been outstanding.
The Seahawks went 80 yards on the ensuing kickoff and tied the game at 7-7 on a 3-yard touchdown pass from Russell Wilson to Anthony McCoy.
The drive included an interesting non-call against Golden Tate on a 32-yard completion. Looked to me like Tate pushed off defender R.J. Stanford.
Oh well.
The second half is coming up. The live blog continues in the comments section.

How does Ireland still have a job? Sorry, don't mean to beat a dead horse, but this is laughable. Look at his drafts, outside of Pouncey and remove T-Hill from the discussion, what has he done? What player would you absolutely keep if you became GM tomorrow? It's embarrassing
Posted by: Jon | November 25, 2012 at 02:27 PM
Aside from that last drive the D has been playing good and the Offense took awhile to get started but seems to be coming alive... positive plays
Posted by: mattybfromnc | November 25, 2012 at 02:27 PM
I agree totally Armando...horrible non-call but what ya gonna do? once it's done it's done...We HAVE to address the passing game in the draft and free agency...need a deep threat and a secondary...
Posted by: AisleBBach | November 25, 2012 at 02:27 PM
Matt Ryan 15/17 for 200 at the half. Again.
Posted by: Joe | November 25, 2012 at 02:28 PM
Golden Tate is a lying piece of trash, as we all saw after the Packers game. Sorry the refs are letting him get away with anything.
I'm saying 7-7 instead of down 21-3 is a happy surprise. Obviously we can win this one: will we?
Posted by: Anderson | November 25, 2012 at 02:28 PM
I think if we could get one dominant corner the rest of the secondary could step up...
Posted by: AisleBBach | November 25, 2012 at 02:29 PM
Henne 10/14 for 140. Jax leading at half.
Posted by: Joe | November 25, 2012 at 02:29 PM
Hene winning
Posted by: dolphan capt | November 25, 2012 at 02:29 PM
Mando what's up with Dansby? Never seems to make any game changing plays and looks like just jogging around going through the motions. Every week same thing...
Posted by: PhinsFan4Life | November 25, 2012 at 02:29 PM
The touchdown they gave up was exactly why they need to improve the pass rush. They were CLOSE to getting to the QB but they never actually got it done. Smith looked bad on the play but it's not realistic to expect your secondary to cover the WRs for as long as they had to. That play never should have lasted as long as it didn.

"Matt Ryan 15/17 for 200 at the half. Again."
Joe,
So become a Falcons fan. No one here will mind.

Philbin needs to make the bold move and start Moore in the 3rd quarter.
Posted by: Dan | November 25, 2012 at 02:30 PM
Dolphins have 88 rushing yards so far, which is more than they've gained in six of the past seven games. So there's some progress.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | November 25, 2012 at 02:31 PM
Free agents in 2013, secondary.
Safties:
Dashon Goldson
Jairus Byrd
William Moore
Brent Grimes
Cornerbacks:
Tracy Porter
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
Aqib Talib

Dan,
Are you serious??? It's 7-7!!!
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | November 25, 2012 at 02:32 PM
Probably wrong here, but could it be Philbin's "better not mess up or I'll bench you" coaching style that makes our db's tentative? I've always heard that playing back there is as much instinct as think. Our guys are either the lest instinctive group in the AFC East, or playing scared. Don't know why, as there is no one to replace them.

Bold move and start Moore? Right when Tannehill is showing promise on the last drive, doing what he was doing at the beginning of the season?
Oh you must mean start Marlon Moore, bc starting the back up QB Moore would be a dumb move
Posted by: mattybfromnc | November 25, 2012 at 02:33 PM
You can run on these People, Guys. Just execute as you did in that Sweep.(after mainly running up their Gut).

"Dolphins have 88 rushing yards so far, which is more than they've gained in six of the past seven games. So there's some progress."
If we keep running the ball like this & don't turn it over then I like our chances.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | November 25, 2012 at 02:33 PM
As long as we come out and put together a TD drive, we should be OK
Posted by: TNfinfan | November 25, 2012 at 02:34 PM
Yes, the running game is looking sharp...I personally hope that we'll keep Reggie for next year and groom Thomas some more...Thomas has been very streaky...runs hard and makes you think he might get it then he pulls a shrinking violet routine...he's good when he runs hard and with purpose
Posted by: AisleBBach | November 25, 2012 at 02:34 PM
yeah fans like dan are legally retarded in state of fla
Posted by: bill connors | November 25, 2012 at 02:34 PM
Besides the Dolphins, I'm really enjoying watching the train wreck known as the Jets.
Posted by: 48-Go | November 25, 2012 at 02:34 PM
nice job by D giving up 14 min drive
Posted by: Tim | November 25, 2012 at 02:34 PM
Totally beatable team. Offence needs to step it up in the second half. I've said all week and I'll say it again, they're not that good!
Posted by: Craig M | November 25, 2012 at 02:35 PM
Dolphins always close halves like crap, same old same old.
Jake long should be allowed to walk in the offseason. Waste of money at this point.
Posted by: Andrew | November 25, 2012 at 02:35 PM
Ryan, the announcer is wrong. We've done best up the middle. Reggie's TD run was the only really successful run tot the edge.
She looks like a college student.

Anybody want to tell me gagin how refs don't affect the outcome of games?
The NFL is becoming another World Wrestling Federation and thats no joke. It's pitiful what my beloved sport has become uder Goodell.
Wold any of our DB's get away with what Tate did?
Fvck No! Wilson and Tate are LAUGHABLE and THATS no joke either. Just like the infamous replacement refs game, Tate gets to push off, trip people, hold and pretty much tackle!
Let Nolan Carroll ty any ofd that. Remember what they were calling on Carroll last week?
Thanks for the new World Wrestlin.........ah, The "New" World Footbll Federation Mr. Goodell.

Chad Henne: 10-14 for 136 yards and a pick against the Titans. 'Flourishing' away from Miami....LOL....
Posted by: Craig M | November 25, 2012 at 02:37 PM
Give Hartline an extension now...Today.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | November 25, 2012 at 02:37 PM

Bush also had a run outside for ten. They should continue this.
Posted by: Craig M | November 25, 2012 at 02:38 PM

fail forward fast
Posted by: Ben | November 25, 2012 at 02:39 PM
Shift penalty cause Tanny forgot to say "48." Really.
Posted by: IMAWriter | November 25, 2012 at 02:39 PM
WHDPs,
I'd bring Hartline back in a hearbeat. Guy on here this week was calling Bess and Hartline '4th and 5th receivers on any other team'.....friggin' hilarious!
Posted by: Craig M | November 25, 2012 at 02:40 PM
.. A break in the inaction.

CraigM, true, but why not go with something that's pretty much worked the entire game. BTW, what happened to to the vertical passing game?
I actually believe Sherman has short term memory loss. He seems to always go away from what works.
Posted by: IMAWriter | November 25, 2012 at 02:42 PM
Seattle has tremendous pursuit. How about a play action to Bush to the R and throw it to the L. Or viceversa hint, hint
Posted by: oscar canosa | November 25, 2012 at 02:42 PM
Philbin & Sherman have been in the coaching business for many years and still they dont realize than Bush can't run between tackles
Posted by: Tony in Miami | November 25, 2012 at 02:42 PM
Sean Smith. Is that house up for sale yet?
Posted by: Jon | November 25, 2012 at 02:42 PM
bill,
I loved the guys yesterday who was saying Moore should be our starter and Henne should be our backup. I think some States should be re-thinking their policy to legalize drugs....LOL.
Posted by: Craig M | November 25, 2012 at 02:43 PM
Yeah Craig...give up good receivers? if the O-line would give Tannehill time we'd see more production...money says that New England would snatch up Hartline in a heartbeat
Posted by: AisleBBach | November 25, 2012 at 02:43 PM
What a borin game. Yawn. Tannehill sucks. He runs off the field satisfied when not converting a 3rd down.

I can't even respond to someone who says that.

Good open field tackle by Clemons .
Posted by: Ignignokt | November 25, 2012 at 02:43 PM
Thomas needs to get in the game. Reggie keeps dancing. He is hit or miss. Sometimes Reggie gives you the spectacular run but most of the times he dances around and gives you a two yard loss.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | November 25, 2012 at 02:44 PM
Wilson is fast and has a gun.
Posted by: Coach Cam Philbin | November 25, 2012 at 02:44 PM

Imawriter,
From last blog.
It's Instincts!! These DB's Don't Turn Around!! WE DON'T HAVE A TRUE BALLHAWK!!
A GUY THAT ONCE!! THE BALL IS IN THE AIR!! THEY TURN TO A OFFENSIVE PLAYER!! AND GO FOR THE BALL!!
U CAN INCLUDE THE LB'S IN THAT GROUP!!
OUR BACK 7!! Have No Pass Coverage Instincts!! THEY SHOULD GET CALLED FOR PI!! EVERY PLAY!! THEY FACE GUARD THE RECIEVERS!! ALL THE TIME!!!
IT'S SIMPLE!! IF THE GUY PUTS HIS ARM OUT TO CATCH THE BALL!! TURN AROUND!! THE BALL IS COMING!!
U MIGHT CATCH IT!!
NOT
Misi
Dansby
Burnett
S.Smith
Carroll
J.Wilson
Clemmons
R.Jones
And Can U MORONS STOP!!!
NOBODY WILL TAKE U SERIOUS HOPING FOR MOORE!!
U GUYS TRULY NO NOTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL! NEVERMIND THE QB POSITION!!
LET ME GUESS Matt Barkley!! Will go In The 1ST ROUND!! AND HAND SIZE IS NOT IMPORTANT FOR A NFL QB!!!
Matt Barkley is a 6th Round Pick!! At Best!!
And U need To be able to Eat a Whooper!! To be a NFL QB!!
Look at RUSSELL WILSON!!! HE MIGHT BE SHORT FOR A NFL QB!! BUT HE HAS SOME OF THE BIGGEST HANDS FOR A QB!!
Hand Size!! Is Important to Hold the Ball!! And Carry out fakes!!
MATT MOORE PUMP FAKES WITH 2 HANDS!!!
Posted by: Dashi | November 25, 2012 at 02:45 PM
Mando,
What was that you said about Russell Wilson before??? Oh yeah he sucks right???
