Dolphins struggling offense needs to wake up

On Tuesday I reported to you that Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman had a career chat with his players and implored them to overcome the difficulties of the past couple of weeks and make their sons proud.

It was Sherman's way, I guess, of challenging his players.

Well, I challenge Mike Sherman to make necessary corrections and make fans proud -- because the offense the Dolphins have been putting on tape for much of this season, and particularly lately, simply isn't good enough.

Consider:

The Dolphins are averaging 19.2 points per game this season. That is 25th in the NFL.

That is the worst mark in the AFC East so far.

That is worse than a season ago when Miami averaged what we all considered an unacceptable 20.6 points per game.

The Dolphins have not scored a touchdown in six quarters.

The Dolphins are tied with Kansas City for the fewest passing TDs in the NFL (6) so far this season.

This is not good. Fact is, it is terrible because the Dolphins haven't exactly been playing stellar competition. The hard part of the schedule is coming up, believe it or not, after the Buffalo game.

“I think it’s just a lot of things that we just have to execute better," Sherman said. "It’s typical coach talk. We’ve got to execute a lot better. We’ve got to not have penalties. Not turn the ball over. Those things all play a part in it. Got to have good plays. I’ve got to call good plays -- make sure they’re the ones that apply specifically to that defense.

"There’s a lot of reasons, which we have to get fixed. There’s no question. This is unacceptable."

Correct!

Unacceptable.

I cringe at the idea that Miami still has to play against the San Francisco and Seattle defenses.

The situation is frustrating because generally the Miami defense and special teams have been good enough, with the exception of the last two losses to Indianapolis and Tennessee, to provide Miami with a winning team.

So the offense needs to hop on its horse and giddyup.

The Bills, Thursday night's opponent, provide an opportunity. The Bills, to put it diplomatically, stink on defense.

They give up more points (31.7) per game than any other NFL team. They are dead last in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game. Combined, they allow 410 yards per game on the ground and through the air and that's 31st of 32 teams.

So the Bills are possibly a prescription for what ails the Dolphins offense.

Of course, I kind of thought that last week before the Tennessee game.

I'm just saying T-Hill should be able to take off sometimes...not all the time or often. Not run like a RB but instead to escape the pressure or when there is no separation like mobile QB's can. Of course he should always SLIDE or escape out of bounds whenever possible.

Yeah, all we need is to just be able to run the ball, sounds simple doesnt it?

Guys, the problem isnt the running game, Ireland exported Brandon Marshall and didnt import a very good wr in. Heck it wouldnt matter about wr if we had the Pats 2 great te's. Theyre basically 2 great bigass wr's.

Guys, I just dont get why you dont understand, that to consistently and effectively run the ball. You also need to have threaning recievers. This keeps the defense honest and stops them from playing 8-9 in the run box.

Then when they have no choice but to put 8-9 in the box because you're gashing hell out of them in the run game. Then that's when you go over the top or gash them deep with the passing game.

The running game and passing game both work in hand in hand with the other. Defenses will game plan to stop one and fully expose the other for what it really is. What our recieving corps really is can be considered "plainly average" at best.

Craig,

Gaffney disappeared simply because he is just a guy. He came in late and was never a top consistent performer to begin with. Miami needs should be able to run the ball and needs to put together a game plan where Tannehill can throw 20-25 times and also get 25-30 from the backs. This is a road game on a short week. It's time to stop force feeding him. He has done a lot with a little but as you saw last week you can't expect a zero turnover game every week.

The run game is still averaging at least around 100ypg. Thats still a damn good avg when considering they go against 8-9 in the run box continuously(not a dc in the league fears our recieving unit).

Imagine what our running would do if we had a recieving corps that can force defenses to play it honestly? We could "EASILY" avg 150yds per game, no sweat.

All Im asking for is we take some shots down the field, even when we were down to the Titans we were still running 7 yard outs. Jeez I cant beleieve how slow all the WR's are can anyone on the team run a 9 route besides the white dude?

It is not possible for most Teams to Win if you let another Team put up 35 pts. on the Board. Just not possible.

The Dolphins are up and down much like some of you frauds. Get a clue and a perspective on where this team stands.

Miami has finally found thier QB and a good one at that. Stop comparing him to Luck, RG3 or even Russel Wilson. Just let him be himself which in time will be very good but he needs more help. A proven star vet QB would struggle with this offense. It just doesn't have the weapons or consistency at any position on the field and you guys expect a rookie to be the difference maker when he has no difference makers? Hartline is a solid #2 but far from a #1 and no D cordinators are losing sleep over how to stop him, Bess, Fasano or a street FA like Gaffney. Bush has fallen back to earth and is still productive and a threat but the only threat and he's inconsistent but still the only weapon. Remember when Mando was slobbing all over the fact the longer Bush isn't signed the harder it will be? Well right now seems perfect. Jake Long? Wow he is becoming a mark out there at LT. Speed rushers are killing him. Power Rushers are killing him too. I don't get it other then to assume he more hurt then he is leading on. Do you guys remember Tony Boselli? Same thing. He was dominant and then fell off a cliff talent wise in just 1 season.

Relax and enjoy the ride because Tannehill is playing good and he is also allowed and supposed to have games like last week. Tannehill needs more help at OL, WR and TE. He needs more consistent play calling and not a play call that thrust all the pressure onto him. I like Sherman and he is good but just like many O-coordinators he out thinks himself sometimes. 2nd and 1 does not mean lets go shotgun. Miami is about a 6-7 win team this year. Offensively not enough and defensively they can't stop the pass.

Miami 23 Buffalo 20

AndyNJ,

I agree with everything you just posted. 6 or 7 wins sounds right to me which is better than I expected during after watching the way we played throughout the pre-season.

I'm bothered most by the insane criticism of Tannehill & the never ending defenders of Jake Long. Tannehill is playing extremely well this season (better than I could have ever imagined) with only two consistent WR's, a lackluster running game, & an O-line that has had protection problems & has incurred too many penalties.

BTW--Funny you should mention Tony Boselli. I was thinking the exact same thing last week. Outstanding, stud LT who was even better than Jake Long before the injuries & then went downhill FAST. I'm sure Texans fans remember Tony Boselli....

Maybe the Marinos, the Bradys and their Os can overcome 15-20 point deficits. We just don't have that kind of ammunition now.

Andy,

Couldn't agree more.

YG,

Agreed.

The Fins need to Attack This OffSeason Evenly.

On The Offense.

Dashi believes the Fins only need 1 Real Good WR! A Playmaker!! Now the ONLY REAL GOOD WR'S!! Are Free Agents! Not in the Top of the Draft(First 2 Rounds). SO GO OUT AND GET WALLACE!!!

The Fins Shouldn't Go Crazy On Free Agents! Just 1 or 2!! A WR and a CB!!

Re-Sign Hartline. At the Right Price. IF NOT LET HIM WALK!! He's Nothing Special!

Excellent D. Efficient O. Thats the recipe for winning in any Team Sport. You think the Heat are all O? Wroooong....

The Miami Dolphins is a private corporation staffed by millionaires. They don't care about you, Craig M. They are not "we."

DC....

I understand you think its a rebuildng year...and yout OK with whatever happens this season...and so on...

but you need to factor THIS into the equation....

We ar losing to BAD TEAMS....jets, Titans, Cards...and got our @sses handed to us by the Rams....and we SHOULD have been able to handle the Colts....

Its not that were losing....we SHOULD lose to BETTER teams...by all means....but we SHOULD NOT lose to LESSER TEAMS.....NOT ANY YEAR....

That's why this is dissapointing....

It's a shame, in a way, that Marlon Moore is such a valuable(our best) ST Player. He's our best receiver, but only Human. My opinion.

Dashi,

Yes, 1 offseason reciever. Then Hartline would be the #2, even keep Gaffney 1 more season as the #3. Bess is a straight out 4th wr, a guy you make sort of a 3rd down wr 5-10 wr.

Bess just isnt much of a downfield threat period.

armando!.. knock!knock!knockkk!
it's game day!.
lol

Let me put it like this DC....

This team in not making the "progress" you hoped to see evry week during your 4-12 season....

If the FINS finish 4-12 now...or even 6-10....it will be among the most disapointing finishes to a season since the "7-1 is so much fun" phrase uttered by Tim Bowens (I think)....and then the team collapes...and missed the playoffs.....

"The run game is still averaging at least around 100ypg. Thats still a damn good avg when considering they go against 8-9 in the run box continuously(not a dc in the league fears our recieving unit).

YG,

8 or 9 in the box??? Seriously...What games are you watching???

The lack of attempts is the number one issue. We abandoned the running game that was working against the Colts in the 2nd half & we buried ourselves early against the Titans.

The second issue is the absence of an every down back & clearly it's Miller time. Bush is gone after this year & we need to see more of this kid. Bring Thomas in on 3rd downs to pass protect but we need to take advantage of Miller's speed & skill set.

So, you People betting your $ on the Dolphins? LV has Buffalo by ~2. Yeah, I know, I covered the under, I teased, I parlayed.. Utter Bullcrap.

You play TO WIN, always, in any kind of Sports, Betting.

My favorite DRAFT TALK!

I see some you guys are not high on some of the WR's. Well I'm really high on 2 and luke warm on the 3rd

1. Justin Hunter - Love him! He is big, fast and a difference maker. He reminds me of a more wiry version of AJ Green. He can seperate, run past and out maneuver defenders. The big question is his durability he tore his ACL on a routine play last season and those injuries or troublesome for WRs. He's a home run hitter and at 15 give or take he is exactly what Miami needs but again durability concerns. At best is he AJ Green type or at worse Yatil Green?

2. Robert Woods - He isn't very big at 6'1 180ish but he looks like an ideal fit in a West Coast offense in that he runs hard routes and accelerates in and out of cuts. He is probably schematically the best fit of the 3 Im naming. He obviously can afford to bulk up. This is high praise but he reminds me a lot of Marvin Harrison how he plays, run routes and even his so so Senior season in college. I'm not saying he will have anything like the career of Harrison but from demeanor to size, acceleration, route running (good for college player).

3. Keenan Allen - I like him but he just seems like the type that is so much bigger then terrible Pac 12 DBs that he out muscles them to and for the ball. He also isn't the play maker the other 2 are however he has that Dwayne Bowe that he just is stronger and more physical then most defenders which is a good fit in a West Coast offense. Or he could be Michael Clayton formerly of the Bucs where he just isn't sudden enough to get away from anyone.

Kris,

Losing to bad teams? Overall, on both sides of the ball we equate to just plain average. In the nfl "plain avg" equates to having a bad team.

When 2 bad teams play someone has to win. We've won 4 out of 7 of those games. The Texans arent one of those teams and the currently 6-3 Colts cant really be considered ine of those teams either. Because, more often than not, you are what your record says you are.

So, I guess, basically we're 4-3 when playing other "bad teams".

WHRBs....

we also ditched the running game against the cards and the jets (1st game)...when it was working fine....albiet slowed a little after the Bush injury in the jets games....still working tho...

I have an excellent bet in the 4th at Calder Today. But I'm not going to tell you. I'm mad as hell at you, you're such Dunces.

We Have RBs,

Exactly bro! Name the stud high paid O-linemen from the defending Champ Giants? Name the stud in Green Bay who is the highest paid? You can't because that's not the new league and how it works. Granted if Long was up to form and didn't look like he was in his 30's and falling apart I would say pay the man he is one of the best in the league but right now I'm thinking if they pay him like Joe Thomas it will come back to haunt them.

Andy, I'm with you on Justin Hunter and he would be the guy I'm looking at if we are picking 15-20. However, what concerns me is that Tennessee has a very good offense but his produciton is mediocre despite being the most physically gifted amongst all WRs. Similar to Arrelious Benn a few years back.

YG...I agree...and I could see myself making the EXACT same argument to someone else...

However....

When its my FINS....and two "ba" teams play....I think we should stink it up less....

Kris,

If I recall correctly that "collapse" was more injury related than anything else.

And as for this season it's pretty damn clear that the overall talent of this team is lacking. More than anything else we need another good draft. With an extra 2nd & 3rd round pick plus the draft pick we added from the Cowboys for Cook--we certainly have the fire power to get it done.

Doesn't Mean Don't Draft a WR or TE in the Mid Rounds.

I just don't want to see Ireland Use Any of the fins First 5 Picks In the Draft! On The Line!!!

Any Line!!

On Jake, I'm 80/20. I believe With Him being Hurt. (Next Season Should be the REAL TEST!! He's Been Fairly Healthy, This Year!! Hasn't Missed A REAL GAME!)And It Doesn't Help having Incognito to his Right. It's Like Martin With Jerry! These Tackles Are being Hindered By BAD GUARD PLAY!!

THATS WHY WE CAN'T CONVERT A 3RD AND 1! EVEN THOUGH!! THE CENTER IS DOING HIS JOB!!

JAKE CAME FROM A ZONE BLOCKING SCHEME!! That's What Michigan Ran!! J.Martin Is Also An Athletic Tackle!

The Fins Problem! Is Those 2 Fat Arse!!! Guards!!! Can't Pull!! Or Slide Side To Side! And Apparently!! Can't Even Get Off the Line!!

And If we WERE HAVING A IQ TEST!!! OF ALL THE LINEMEN!! WE ALL KNOW!! WHO THE 3 SMART ONES ARE!!

Still We can Address these 2 Needs At the Bottom Of the Draft!!! A Mid Round Pick Guard!!! Is Usually WAY BETTER THAN A Mid Round Pick Tackle! All the Good Tackles!! Are Taken At the Top Of The Draft!!

AND WE HAVE OFFENSIVE TACKLES!! WE NEED GUARDS!!

WHRBs @11:24am,

Well said. That's why I've put the blame on the coaches. If Bush isn't working, then don't abandon the run. Let's see more of Miller or let's get Thomas working. They are too quick to abandon the run, IMO. If we can't run the ball effectively tonight we're not beating Buffalo. Plain and simple.

Andym I'm no expert on the College game but I like what I've seen of Woods. I think he fits what we want to do in this offence. I'm not as sold on Hunter as you, but I do see the talent. There are some kids in the second round I like and that's why I'm saying we should wait until then. I'm sure I'm in the minority but this offence doesn't NEED a Calvin Johnson to work. What it needs is someone who can do things that Bess and Hartline can't and to me there are some talented kids in the second who could offer us that.

Why would the Dolphins leave a talent like Michael Egnew on the inactive list when they are in such dire need of offensive help?

Agree WHRBS...the TALENT IS SORELY LACKING.....

but we ALL know who's fault that is...

So the age old question then becomes....should he be allowed to continue to pick sub-par talent...

Andy,

I like the WR DeAndre Hopkins from Clemson & the TE's from Stanford & ND. Any one of these three players would help in the passing game.

As for Woods--I just don't trust USC players. Too many USC prospects are 'system' players & don't translate to the NFL. Like Dwayne Jarrett & the kid we drafted.

Andy,

I don't think we need to pay Long a Joe Thomas contract. According to YG, Long still has an option year left on his contract (something like $12.5 mil a year). So pay it. If he doesn't then franchise him. Bite the bullet. This idea of moving Martin to LT and drafting a RT, sounds like the tinkering that Sparano would have done. It's a bad plan. We have other needs that have to be addressed and if guys want to get rid of Long after NEXT year because he's not getting it done, then so be it. But why open up another hole now and have a need to draft a tackle, when we also need WR, S, OLB/DE, CB and TE needs. We're CREATING holes and not filling them. So now, what if Marin and/or the RT don't work out. Now you've got OTHER needs to fill. Stick with what we've got for now (Long LT and Martin RT) and let's address what NEEDS to be addressed.

And Sorry To be Captain Obvious!! With JAKE LONG!! THE FRANCHISE!!

JAKE IS JEFF IRELAND!!

ON TOP OF THAT!! STEPHEN M. ROSS!!

WAS BORN IN DETROIT!!

WENT TO MICHIGAN!!!!!

And The University of Michigan renamed its business school the "Ross School of Business" in his honor after receiving a $100 million gift from Ross!!!!!

SO IF HE WANTS T-HILL TO BE THE NEXT DAN MARINO!!

HE BOUGHT THE TEAM BECAUSE HE WANTED JAKE LONG!!! THE CONTRACT IS ALREADY SIGNED SEALED AND DELIVERED!!!

"Agree WHRBS...the TALENT IS SORELY LACKING.....

So the age old question then becomes....should he be allowed to continue to pick sub-par talent..."

Kris,

Other than Matt Millen (LOL!!!) has a GM ever survived four straight losing seasons??? I guess we're going to find out....

Kris, in all fairness, it's not that Ireland is picking sub-par players at the skill positions - it's just that up until last year, they haven't picked skill players for the most part.

T is a skill player and he found Long and Martin - good
CB - missed on Vontae, hit on Smith - fine
QB - Tannehill - shown the potential to work out. henne and white were bad picks.
WR - spent a fourth on hartine and a third on Turner - that's pretty good use of a fourth and third if one guys works out if you ask me.
RB - Thomas avg in the 2nd , Miller looks really good in the fourth

The rest of the top end picks were spent on the lines which are pretty good if you ask me. At least good enough to be a good team.

I have confidence that Ireland would find good enough players at WR, CB, S, and TE if they actually use the picks on those skill positions. His track record in the top two rounds is pretty good overall. better than anyone we've had in my lifetime. Shula and Johnson included. Schula was a disgrace and Johnson's first round picks were awful except for Gardner.

I dont like drafting WR period unless therereally talented, Andre Johnson, Calvin Johnson type guy, back the brinks truck up to Wallace crib I doubt Ireland does this cause hes so frugal with money.

If we draft a WR he wont be a big difference maker until year 3, Look at Blackmon and some of the other rookie WR minimal impact this year. SIGN WALLACE! Egnew has to be one dumb SOB if he cant see the field this year, Ireland should lose his job just because his 3rd pick been inactive all season.

Just an FYI there is not a 6th yr option on Long it was a false report. He is a clear FA at the end of the season.

Craig,

Dashi may be out of his mind but I believe he's correct that as long as Jeff Ireland is GM, Jake Long will be a Dolphin.

If Ireland is fired then it MAY get interesting. My gut is that we keep him although I strongly disagree based on how Long has played so far this season.

WHRBs, look at Ireland's first two round picks over the last five years - they have been as good as anyone. The talent void on this team is because we didn't draft anyone in the top two rounds that was worth a damn for a generation before that. The vast majority of our best players are in their first four years in the league. The nucleus is so very young.

Our leaders should be 28-32 years of age. Who are those players for us? Soliai, Starks, Incognito, and Bush. Two pro bowls between them. Not exactly a championship winning nucleus.

oscar put 5 on hanzel as well,
they're running in dirt 2day. listen 2 u'r crazy phan senor~ 2 watt oscar.
lol

Clue,

So it looks like Ireland has hit on Tannehill, Martin, Vernon and Miller in rounds 1,2,3 and 4 and because the coach doesn't want to play the other third pick (Egnew), he should be fired? Does anything seem wrong with that logic to you?

Would you disown your kid if he came home with a 80 per cent average from school?

DRAFT TALK,

Another huge need outside of play making WR is CB or Safety and it's probably even a bigger need but at what value is the question. CB's get blown up almost as much as QBs these days because the NFL being such a pass happy unbalanced league.

1. Kenny Vaccaro Safety Texas - a safety that has elite cover skills is something this defense has lacked forever. Texas like many programs scout similar players at certain positions and if this isn't Earl Thomas' clone I don't know what is. He is fast, athletic and prescense is felt on the field.

2. David Amerson CB NC State - I saw him get ate up by Justin Hunter this year for about 10 catches but it was all underneath stuff and in the same game was beat for like a 60 yard bomb by the other WR but that was 1 game and Tennessee for once couldn't miss. Amerson is 6'2 and fast with good balls skills. More likely a late 1st or 2nd round guy.

3. Desmond Trufant CB Washington - He isn't as big as Amerson but he has good coverage skills and good genetics brother is Marcus Trufant. Fast and Quick so has the speed to take a pick the distance.

As you can see I didn't name Dee Milliner or Jonathan Banks which are the 2 highest rated CBs so far in the draft by most. Milliner to me and from the untrained eye looks more like a safety cause he just looks stiff with smaller WRs, ask Swope from A&M. He couldn't break down on routes or tackle well in the open field. It was 1 game but a red flag to me. Plus Bama boys always get hyped and deservingly so. Jonathan Banks is Sean Smith to me. He is good but will never be elite and isn't the fastest CB either.

Kris,

How many holes do expect to be filled in one draft class? They now have RT, QB, RB (after Bush) filled. The WRs didn't pan out. Only 7 rounds, and after the first 2 you're adding depth basically.

Ireland/Philbin/Sherman/Coyle inherited a junk roster, they don't have magic wands. Calling Ireland a bad GM just points out that you are an idiot.

andy cb and* fs. not or

Mark,

Hit on Smith??? Really??? I'd say the jury is still out on that draft pick.

In five drafts I'd say we hit Hartline & the early returns on Tannehill look extremely promising. Miller just hasn't played nearly enough to be evaluated so far.

Not sure how you can have confidence in Ireland to find a TE after Clay has underwhelmed this year & Egnew hasn't even been activated.

Sean Smith sucks lemons...Biggest pus** in the NFL...Big guy who's afraid to hit someone...Vontae tackled twice harder than this wuss...

Craig, anyone saying an executive shoudl be fired for missing on a 3rd round pick in any sport is simply losing perspective. 3rd round picks only have about a 20% of even becoming 3 year starters in this league - statisitcally proven. They are far from sure things.

Mark,

You're dead right. Because this team has sacrificed MANY picks for players through the years (two firsts for Williams, two seconds for Marshall, a second for Culpepper, a second for Feeley, a third for Gordon) and missed on may firsts (Green, Fletcher, Avery, Allen), Ireland should be fired? He's been playing 'catch-up' for ineptness that happened long before he was even here. Crazy to suggest otherwise.

But maybe some of you guys will get what you want. You want him out. You don't care who you get, you just want him out. It's the same thinking most of you had for Jerry, Hartline, Moore and others. 'Don't care who we get, just get him out'. Maybe you'll get your wish. Maybe we'll end up getting AJ Smith or Pioli. Maybe we need a move like that to make everyone happy.

Lets talk about Egnew as much isnt known about him except he cant crack getting onto the field. I really feel next year he will come into his own. The reason for it is the kid while at Missouri was used mostly as a receiving TE. Regardless of what we say, going from standing up like a WR to coming in and blocking a 290lb + DL is tough. I think they will DEVELOPE him to his full potential which is why they drafted him. Philbi did the same thing with Finley and he has turned out to be a good TE. Or on the other hand he might not ever see the field but I think Philbin will develope him this first year..

dolphins struggling beat writer can't put ^ a new blog on game day.

armando, put that garbage plate away and get crack'n like a cracker on a horse in a cotton field.
lol

Mark Toronto,

Tennessee has a ton of talent but a bad O-line and inconsistent QB. Tyler Bray is money 1 week and then over throws deep routes or skips passes the next. Hunter is the real deal. The injury is what concerns me more then the production. He is everything you want in a WR tall, fast, body control it's just that knee is what I would worry about.

WHRBs, if you find a very competent starter with a 2nd round pick at a premium position like CB - that is a hit. There are a lot worse Cbs than Sean Smith in the NFL. A LOT WORSE. That was a very useful pick. And it wasn't even an early 2nd pick. It was the 25th pick of the 2nd I believe.

mark, how cold is it 2nite?

BOYCOTT THE FINS UNTIL IRELAND IS FIRED! WE"RE TIRED OF THE LOSING! HELP MAKE THE CHANGE!

Yg,

On The Wr's.

Hartline is a #3/4. Bess is a #2/3(Because a Good Slot Guy can be Great!!! If U have other Weapons!). I wouldn't resign Gaffney!!! Sign Wallace!! And LEt Moore Battle R.Matthews! For A Roster Spot! And Probably Draft a WR In the 2nd or 3rd! To fill out The Group!

But Like Craig Said. We Don't Need a Calvin Johnson Type!! Just 1 or 2 More WR's!! That Compliment! D.Bess! AND FILL OUT THE GROUP!!

Mark,

I like your point that Ireland hasn't drafted a WR in the 3rd round or higher. Well made. He hasn't been able to because he's been so busy plug the dam from the holes that were here when he took over. People can argue that he should have picked a guy like Nicks or Britt instead of Davis and that may be valid but this defence was sorely in need of CBs at the time and to simply draft WR and ignore the secondary would have been a mistake too. He thought he's addressed it with the trade for Marshal. Didn't work out.

I think this roster is FINALLY at the point that we can afford to draft a WR in the first or second round. When was the last time we could have said that about this team?

WHRBs, look at Ireland's first two round picks over the last five years - they have been as good as anyone. The talent void on this team is because we didn't draft anyone in the top two rounds that was worth a damn for a generation before that. The vast majority of our best players are in their first four years in the league. The nucleus is so very young.

Mark,

You're serious??? Ha!!! You REALLY want to go there....

I'll give you Long, Pouncey, Tannehill & even Misi BUT look at the misses over 5 years in the first two rounds--Merling, Vontae, Henne, S. Smith, Pat White, & Odrick??? Really...That's as good as anyone???
