How does this new CB fit in? Never heard of him, can't possibly be worse than the performance we had last week, can it?
Posted by: MiamiD20 | November 11, 2012 at 12:00 PM
Matthews still on the team?
Posted by: DC Dolfan | November 11, 2012 at 12:01 PM
Phins, from last blog:
Phins, every city is different dude. What ELSE will people in DC do? Football is king up here anyway. Wizards suck, who cares about hockey, and the Nats just started getting good. So people will come to Skins games (but before RG3 they were starting to fade just like in Miami). Where else are you talking about? Who else has been as bad as Miami? Rams have won SBs in my lifetime, ditto San Fran. Atlanta had Vick, then re-tooled with an exciting style of football. Jets are in NY, and Buffalo's about to move to Canada if they don't shape up. So what other teams are you talking about that have been as bad as us for so long, playing the most BORING style of football, NEVER improving, for decades? I can't think of one. Bucs? Won SB in my lifetime. Raiders, have BEEN to SB in my lifetime. Jax is about to be the London Jaguars.
Stop defending the franchise who's just NOW getting it. Miami is a transplant city. Have the residents from somewhere else on retirement. Think they're going to games? You have the beaches, and then they need to contend with the Heat and Marlins. My cousins (retired) love both Marlins and Dolphins, and choose to go to Marlins games. Plus frankly, with fantasy and everything else, it's better to watch games at home (and not deal with the traffic and parking). Same thing is said in DC.
Yes, there is a bit of fans being wishy-washy in their support and not being supportive, I'll accept that. But it hasn't always been that way, Florida LOVES football. The U has a very good fanbase. But I'm saying winning will cure all of that. So why cry about it now? A win is still a win with 20 or 50K in the stadium. I'm not too worried about it, if we start getting above .500 consistently, and fans stay away, THEN I'll get upset. But right now I could care less, I'd rather the reporters talk about what the FOOTBALL side is doing to get better, and not what the organization is doing to make it's billionaire more money.

Not to mention: is Egnew progressing at all in practice? Will we see him next year at this rate? Clay had no problem adjusting as a 6th round pick, why can't Egnew?
Posted by: MiamiD20 | November 11, 2012 at 12:03 PM
Was mcdonald that bad to be cut after 3 days? Did the guy actually cover someone in practice and the coaches got confused?
Posted by: Sammo | November 11, 2012 at 12:05 PM
When are we going to hear Kris and Ody fess up and admit they were DEAD WRONG about Tannehill not being worth the pick at 8?
When?
Just fess up like men. But I know, instead you will retort with grade school mockery.

There, we knew YG was sick...
Posted by: oscar canosa | November 11, 2012 at 12:10 PM
Listen, Everybody tires of losing, even the Players. We could have won 3 more Games, including last weeks', if it weren't for the Coaching. Nobody is going to pay good $ to again see a lackluster effort by the Team. Now, they play with good effort with a good Game plan installed today, and win or make it close, People will be back in their usual seats at the Sadium.
Posted by: oscar canosa | November 11, 2012 at 12:20 PM
Yeah, you tell'em, Oscar!
Posted by: oscar canosa | November 11, 2012 at 12:22 PM
Maybe i do have this all wrong and it really is that the true fans do not live in florida anymore. When true fans left all that was left were the band wagon riders. cause when you say you only going to games when they get good again that is a wagon rider
Posted by: robert909 | November 11, 2012 at 12:23 PM
Good game today MUST WIN!
Agreed with everything DC said!
And would Like to add 1 thing! Miami Fans! Or People from Miami! Are REAL! FANS!
IF U SUCK!!! WE LET U KNOW!! IF UR GOOD!! WE LET U KNOW!!!
MEANING U WONT CATCH ANYBODY FROM MIAMI ROOTING FOR U BECAUSE U SUCK!! BUT U REPRESENT THE CITY!!!
REASON NOBODY!!! IN MIAMI LIKES MOORE AS A STARTER!!! Notice all those!! We want Dansby! AND START MATT MOORE FANS!! ARE FROM OUT OF FLORIDA!!!
FOOTBALL IS GOD IN SFLA!! AND AS TRUE FOOTBALL FANS!! IF U SUCK!! WE WON'T WATCH!! WE HAVE POP WARNER TEAMS! THAT PLAY BETTER!! THAN SOME PRO TEAMS!!!
SFLA!! FANS LOVE FOOTBALL! BUT WE LOVE CRUSHING THE OTHER SIDE EVEN MORE!!
U CAN EVEN SAY WE MIGHT BE THE MOST KNOWLEDGEABLE!! SO IT GIVES US A REASON TO HATE WHEN U SUCK! WE EXPECT MOORE! OUT OF OUR PLAYERS!!
BUT DC SAID IT BEST!!! THE FINS HAVE A "STANDARD" TO LIVE UP TO!!!
And over this past decade plus!! The Fins haven't played to the STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE!!! WE ALL EXPECT FROM THIS FRANCHISE!!!!
Posted by: Dashi | November 11, 2012 at 12:25 PM
No SB win in 40 + years
No playoff win in 15+ years
3-4 consecutive losing seasons
Ireland insulting players, fans, media
Ross making the team a laughingstock
HAS TURNED THE FANS OFF!
Posted by: Nothing Puzzling | November 11, 2012 at 12:27 PM
THE BOYCOTT IS WORKING! ANOTHER EMPTY STADIUM TODAY! ROSS IS GETTING THE MESSAGE! BOYCOTT THE FINS UNTIL IRELAND IS FIRED! WE'RE TIRED OF THE LOSING! HELP MAKE THE CHANGE!
Posted by: BOYCOTT IS ON | November 11, 2012 at 12:28 PM
I believe you have it wrong, robert, at least in what pertains to me. I used to go see or hear on the Radio all the Dolphins Games since their inception(Joe Auers kickoff return for a TD in the inaugural Game, remember?). Now, yes, Miami's Social dynamics have changed a lot but it is not Our fault.
Posted by: oscar canosa | November 11, 2012 at 12:30 PM
Eggnew = another Irescum bust
Posted by: Phinmanski | November 11, 2012 at 12:30 PM
A 4-4 record doesn't make up for years of ineptitude.
Posted by: Mark | November 11, 2012 at 12:32 PM
Why would anyone go to a Marlins game over a Dolphins game?
Posted by: MiamiD20 | November 11, 2012 at 12:33 PM
because they prefer baseball to football?
Posted by: Mark | November 11, 2012 at 12:34 PM
Not going to a game because they're inept does not make you a true fan. If you come back when we win and stay away when we lose that makes you a fan that hops on the bandwagon...
Posted by: MiamiD20 | November 11, 2012 at 12:35 PM
What CB? The one they just signed and released?
ON This game we all know the 1 key to the game!!!!! Stop the Titans on 3rd Down!!! Plain and Simple!
Make some F'ing Plays! U overpaid LB's!! Would love to see someone other than our front 4!! Make a Play in The Running Game! Or In The Passing Game! A sack!! a INT!! A Tackle for Loss!!! Something!!!
I know THE DYNAMIC DUO!! ONLY PLAYS HALF A SEASON!! Dashi just thought it was the 2nd half of the season! Not the First! Even though they didn't do nothing special!! the first 8 games!! Time to step up!!
Posted by: Dashi | November 11, 2012 at 12:35 PM
probably - welcome to the real world.
Posted by: Mark | November 11, 2012 at 12:36 PM
Yes mark that is a legitimate reason, but from what DC explained they seemed to be an equal fan of each and chose one over the other. If you don't go see Miami cause they're a bad team why would you see an even worse team with the Marlins
Posted by: MiamiD20 | November 11, 2012 at 12:39 PM
Why would anyone go to a Marlins game over a Dolphins game?
Posted by: MiamiD20 | November 11, 2012 at 12:33 PM
Because the Marlins have 2 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS the last 15 years....And a beautiful state of the art domed stadium. DUUHHH!
Posted by: Fins are Trash | November 11, 2012 at 12:41 PM
Nobody likes a loser. Its no fun to see the Dolphins lose all their home games.
Posted by: mike | November 11, 2012 at 12:43 PM
i have watch every game miami has played since 1994 never missed a game moved out of florida in 1988 to join service. If i lived near miami i would be a season ticket holder and would go to every game. i just do not understand. I am tired of watching the team lose too but how about supporting the players. not there fault that management can not get stuff st8
Posted by: robert909 | November 11, 2012 at 12:43 PM
Before you ask i been paying for sunday ticket every year since 1994

Dullfins vs Titans = BORING MATCHUP
Posted by: TGH | November 11, 2012 at 12:45 PM
10-15,000 Empty seats? That means 55-62,000 fans to see the Fins play the woeful Titans.
Folks, if the Fins were coming off of a sb championship, you wouldnt get many more fans to come out and watch them plays the "TITANS". Let that marinate in your dolfans minds for a minute.
Last season we're lucky if 40,000 fans show up for this game. There is a great improvement in attendance for this typ of opponent.
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone 4Ever! | November 11, 2012 at 12:46 PM
Watching a team lose! Doesn't make u a real fan!!
JUST MAKES U INTO A MASOCHIST!!!
And I would just go to Marlin stadium! To look at what a 21st Century Venue Looks and Feels like!
Trust me I would rather watch a Marlins game in that Stadium! Over! Them UnComfortable!! Little Orange Seats!! At Dolphin Stadium!
If U have been to other Stadiums!! U will Notice!! The Big Difference!! Specially The New One's! Like The Texans! Or The Cards!
Perfect Example! The Lions!
When U are Not Winning!! The Fan Experience has to be great! And after the Marlins! Joe Robbie stopped being a football stadium!!
I know even Mando wants a Upgrade! In The PressBox!!
Posted by: Dashi | November 11, 2012 at 12:46 PM
Hello everyone!
Posted by: Armando Salguero | November 11, 2012 at 12:46 PM
Last season, for an opponent like the Titans 25-30,000 empty seats fora team of the Titans calibre would be totally inline. s. fla fan are aware of the Fins improvement.
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone 4Ever! | November 11, 2012 at 12:46 PM
MD20, because they say the stadium is new and it's easier to get there.
Don't get me wrong people, if I lived in Miami, I'd have Season tix. I live in DC and have gone to at least one game (home or away) every year. I try to do what I can to support my team. I buy the DirectTV package so I catch every game. But I'm a fanatic. Everyone isn't like that. Much of my family living in Miami are island folks who prefer soccer to anything. And the ones who like football (American) have HD TVs and just tailgate from home.
Don't you people see, Mando LOVES to stir up controversy and discord. That's what he does. Why do you play into it? WHO CARES? We're about to destroy a horrible team, and people are arguing over how many empty seats they'll see. Sorry, but I won't be looking at the orange seats. I'll be looking at the Tannehill to Hartline TD pass. I'll be looking at Wake's 3 sacks. I'll be looking at Bess' 4 3rd down conversions. I'll be looking at Brandon Fields punts-of-beauty. I'LL BE WATCHING MY TEAM DO WHAT THEY DO! Enjoy the stands (and some of you call yourselves FOOTBALL fans, you should be embarrassed of yourselves).

Want you guys to know first:
Jabar Gaffney apparently tweaked a leg or ankle in warmups so it will be interesting to see if it affects the amount of time he plays today or not.
Keep an eye out.

Guess Cortland Finnegan will looking to mug Hartline today. Finnegan is with the Titans right? It's Titans or Panthers.

I can't beleive that all of these negative so called Dolphin fans keep on blogging here. Just pick another team but don't jump back on the band wagon when the Dolphins become a consistent playoff team.
The team is headed in the right direction, even with a rookie QB they are at .500. Ireland has put together a pretty good team. They lost to a 6-3 Indianapolis team on the road last week that is playing inspired and they had a chance to win at the end of the game. Let's enjoy this team and get behind them.
