SAN FRANCISCO -- The pace picked up a bit in the third quarter, but the Dolphins are no closer to victory. Further, actually.
The problem in the third quarter was a Marcus Thigpen fumbled punt inside his 10 yard line. The 49ers converted with a 1-yard Frank Gore TD run. Gore, by the way, has gone over 1,000 yards for the sixth time in his career.
The Dolphins answered San Francisco's TD with a field goal. Story of the year for the offense.

LOL at Alex Smith with the helmet in his hand.

No matter what happens, I am proud of the fins. They went all the way to the West Coast against one of the best teams in the NFL and have played with a lot of heart.

Wake all over the field
Posted by: 72perfectstill | December 09, 2012 at 06:36 PM
Obviously the Dolphins Sherman has no clue that he needs to run the no huddle and the last possession he ran the "O" as if they were just there to burn up the clock.
Pathetic OC.

Another Tanne comeback?
Posted by: 72perfectstill | December 09, 2012 at 06:36 PM
Actually reg, Tanny is the only guy on the offense I like besides Pouncey. It's not his fault Ireland gave him nothing to work with.
Posted by: Andrew | December 09, 2012 at 06:36 PM
Anyone surprised to see Wake make that stop???
Posted by: genothefox | December 09, 2012 at 06:37 PM

Andrew,
I give Hartline & Bess a ton of credit for stepping up this year. I also have to give Martin a ton of credit for stepping in @ LT against the best defense in the NFL.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 09, 2012 at 06:39 PM
MARTIN'S HELD HIS OWN AGAINST SMITH SO FAR TODAY. GIVING UP 1 SACK TO ALDON SMITH IS NOT BAD.

Again we are close and it looks like we have hit on that franchise QB. Can't wait until next year.

sAME PLAY LAST WEEK
Posted by: Tony in Miami | December 09, 2012 at 06:41 PM
Tannehill got crushed on that play.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 09, 2012 at 06:41 PM
Tannehill had a lot of heart to step into that throw. Very brave.
Posted by: Andrew | December 09, 2012 at 06:41 PM
Dierdorf is the biggest d-bag announcer there is.
Posted by: Dan | December 09, 2012 at 06:42 PM
Giving up on sack isn't bad? Try again. Always bad, and he looked awful
Posted by: inimounts | December 09, 2012 at 06:43 PM
If we score a td here we need to go for 2.
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone $Ever! | December 09, 2012 at 06:43 PM
Brandon Marshall: 10 Rec 160 yards, td
All Were right not to want him
Posted by: inimounts | December 09, 2012 at 06:44 PM
Draft picks,
Hartline and Bess are serviceable, nothing more, and they don't get in the end zone ever. No separation, no points.
Posted by: Andrew | December 09, 2012 at 06:44 PM
again, Tanny needs to run..
Posted by: IMAWriter | December 09, 2012 at 06:44 PM
OK do you kick a FG here if you don't get the first down.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 09, 2012 at 06:44 PM
F-BOMB!!
THAT IS WHAT U AM TALKING ABOUT!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 09, 2012 at 06:45 PM
Great work by Philbin on that time out.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 09, 2012 at 06:45 PM
No!
Posted by: inimounts | December 09, 2012 at 06:45 PM
You need a TD here. FG is meaningless, especially now that we wasted a TO.
Posted by: Dan | December 09, 2012 at 06:45 PM
Wow they just wasted a timeout. Now you have to go for it on 4th down.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 09, 2012 at 06:45 PM
*I'm!
Posted by: Dashi | December 09, 2012 at 06:45 PM
Time for CLAY
Posted by: IMAWriter | December 09, 2012 at 06:45 PM
Hartline and Bess are serviceable, nothing more, and they don't get in the end zone ever. No separation, no points.
Andrew,
No argument here.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 09, 2012 at 06:45 PM
But, but Marshall is a diva! Therefore, it's good we got rid of our only true weapon. Dierdorf won't shut up about our lack of weapons. We know Dan!
Posted by: Andrew | December 09, 2012 at 06:45 PM
Bess is soooo slow
Posted by: 72perfectstill | December 09, 2012 at 06:46 PM
The party's over.
Posted by: NY "G" | December 09, 2012 at 06:46 PM
Overthrown, both
Posted by: jtlawson5 | December 09, 2012 at 06:46 PM
Wow. 4 straight incompletes. What a waste.
Posted by: Dan | December 09, 2012 at 06:47 PM
No receivers open.
Blame Ireland.
Posted by: IMAWriter | December 09, 2012 at 06:47 PM
2 Terrible throws by Tanny, game over
Posted by: Earl | December 09, 2012 at 06:47 PM
No chance
Posted by: Jkv | December 09, 2012 at 06:47 PM
Are we the only team in the league without a legitimate receiver over 6 foot?
Posted by: inimounts | December 09, 2012 at 06:47 PM
T-Hill has to work on his accuracy. He throws high a lot. It is not over yet but the lights are starting to dim.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 09, 2012 at 06:47 PM
Sorry, make that 5 straight duds from Tanne.
Posted by: Dan | December 09, 2012 at 06:47 PM
Ya heard of the no name defense? This is the no score offense.
Posted by: Sheesh | December 09, 2012 at 06:47 PM
Who does Tannehill think our WRs are? Not very good...
Posted by: nydolfan19 | December 09, 2012 at 06:47 PM
Horrible pattern.
This is where a big receiver like Clay up the middle gets it done.
Posted by: IMAWriter | December 09, 2012 at 06:47 PM
Wow.. I am a fan of T-hill but that was bad passing
Posted by: mixer552 | December 09, 2012 at 06:47 PM
God out offense is so terrible. No one is ever open! How can people support Ireland and want him picking for us? He put the team in this state. Insane.
