OK, so maybe it isn't the most exciting game on the schedule.
But the Jaguars scored ... a field goal.
And the Dolphins scored ... a field goal.
Game's tied 3-3.
The live blog continues in the comments section. Who knows, maybe somebody scores a touchdown this quarter.
How exciting!

Cecil Shorts has impressed me so far today.

And The Playbook Keeps Growing!!
Again!! This Team Is Young and Still Developing!
Good To See T-Hill running some Spread Option! He Just Needs To Slide Better!! Raise That Front Foot T-Hill!! Get The Slide Down!! And We Good!! At least He Didn't Go Head First!!
Still T-Hill is Not Henne!!
Yg Read The Report!! The Kid is The Prototype!! He Just needs Experience!! Yeah Things still haven't changed!
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 02:22 PM
If Henne can shred our Secondary then you know they su_k

YG
Tell us more about that scouting report.
Posted by: Razo | December 16, 2012 at 02:23 PM
Kris,
I agree you have to give Philbin more than one year.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 16, 2012 at 02:23 PM
Dan Marino had offensive tools except a running game and no defence. Lame R. Tannehill has no talent at the WR and a defence. And Robert Griese had all of the above plus an awesome owner, GM and director of player personnel Bobby Beathard. Hence current Dolphins team will never go to SB. Clean house from ownership, front office to players on the field. Its hard work watching the Fins!

Way to answer Miami D!!! I guess they figured it was halftime.
Posted by: Earl | December 16, 2012 at 02:23 PM
Henne plays well, for a half, or 3 quarters. Then he fades, like always. Ask Ohio State.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | December 16, 2012 at 02:23 PM
Our DB's are terrible.
Posted by: KS | December 16, 2012 at 02:23 PM
Tae the ball away and score! Don't let them score
Posted by: David | December 16, 2012 at 02:23 PM
I called out the coaching staff. I didn't signal Philbin out. To be honest with you, I'm starting to have questions about some of the play-calling that's coming from Sherman. I'm more down on him at this point, than Philbin to be honest.
Don't worry Kris, if Ireland gets the axe, Philbin won't be far behind. We've had this conversation.

I havent heard of too many folks wanting to give up on Matthews already......dude barely plays--and looks pretty decent when he does--lets see how he develops
Posted by: benz | December 16, 2012 at 02:24 PM
because all you're doing is moaning about philbin craig!!!!
Posted by: reg | December 16, 2012 at 02:24 PM
Nice 2 min drill.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | December 16, 2012 at 02:24 PM
And suddenly, Tannehill has completed 10 of 14 passes and has a 108 QB rating so far.
Mando,
And suddenly he's not the bust that people think he is.

I won't believe Fins will win this game until it's over.
They'll find a way to lose it to go 5-11.
Posted by: Noplayoffsagain | December 16, 2012 at 02:24 PM
A lot of holding penalties against Jacksonville.
Should have had a few more sacks.
Posted by: jpao | December 16, 2012 at 02:25 PM
Way to go into the Half!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 02:25 PM
Our defense is garbage today. Penalties are keeping Jaguars from beating us today.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 02:25 PM
Finally Smith makes a play
Posted by: jpao | December 16, 2012 at 02:25 PM
Exactly robbyhernz! We may lose a lot, but we do it in a very stable manner.
Posted by: Ireland's Republican Army | December 16, 2012 at 02:25 PM
10-14 with 2 drops! One by Mathews and 1 by Bush..
But 4 incompletions is too much--FIRE HIM!
Posted by: robbyhernz | December 16, 2012 at 02:26 PM
thats funny WHDP, about Tannehill......so true--changes by the hour though
Posted by: benz | December 16, 2012 at 02:26 PM
DC,
Respectfully, you're changing your tune. He was your guys and none of it was about this year....your words. Now all of a sudden you're drafting a first round QB next year. He's either your guy or he's not.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 02:26 PM
Really!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 02:26 PM
Great play by Smith!!!
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 02:26 PM
God Henne sucks. Is he still using the 'no weapons' claim, with Blackmon and Shorts on his team?
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 02:27 PM
Fins suck
Posted by: Sea of Orange | December 16, 2012 at 02:28 PM
Really! On the Kick!
Really!! That kick was Nasty!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 02:28 PM
T-Hill criticized for throw to Mathews, but someone like Brees just throws it up and Graham comes down with it. Funny how Graham takes away Brees' inaccuracies...
Posted by: robbyhernz | December 16, 2012 at 02:28 PM
Ireland R Army, really? We're stable?
Posted by: robbyhernz | December 16, 2012 at 02:30 PM
Drew Brees came to play today. He's some kind of pi88sed and Roger Goddell right now and he's taking it out on the Bucs today.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 02:30 PM
thats funny WHDP, about Tannehill......so true--changes by the hour though
There are a LOT of babies on here who love to bash every mistake Tannehill makes. I can't remember the last time a Dolphin rookie was so over-analyzed. It's just petty & annoying.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 02:31 PM
They'll play like there is a QB competition, but there really isn't. Tannehill is the QB in 2013/14 season, unless he's hurt. They need to pull it all together next year, or there will be more picketing fans down at Dolphins headquarters.
Nice ending to what seemed like a long first half!
Keep it up!

Looks like Vontae Davis is active today. Just made a tackle....WOW!
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 02:32 PM
I'm taking up a collection to get the refs holiday cards as a thank you for the penalties to sustain our one drive and stop the Jags from driving by calling multiple holding calls, anyone wanna chip in?
Posted by: nyfinfan | December 16, 2012 at 02:32 PM
Correction: Davis has 4 tackles on the day.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 02:33 PM
THill may get a pass this year. He is showing flashes of brilliance but next year he will have to be better, much better.
Posted by: TNfinfan | December 16, 2012 at 02:33 PM

Robby,
Like I said, I can't remember the last rookie who had every single play dissected.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 02:33 PM
I bet Chad Johnson is still open!
Posted by: qbclub13 | December 16, 2012 at 02:34 PM
Like a Onion The Playbook Keeps expanding!!
You Guys want Sherman To Show The Whole Book This Year!!
He is Not!!
And H'e's Not Shanahan!! EITHER!! Who's Job was On The Line From The Get!! This Season!!
Sherman has To Get The Bread and Butter Plays Down!! For When Even T-Hill has No Weapons He Can Move The Ball!! Brady has Been Running The Same Play For Years!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 02:34 PM
THill may get a pass this year. He is showing flashes of brilliance but next year he will have to be better, much better.
TNfinfan,
Of course. He DEFINITELY needs to improve but that's the unknown. Will he take the next step??? No one knows.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 02:35 PM
great TEAM drive, with T-Hill doing a much much better job completing 6-6 and couple of v good runs by bush and thomas! doesn't it make a difference when you can throw to recievrs who have a little seperation.
Armando why can't you just stop after the bit you say nice play by the phins on the TD, instead of saying bad D by the jags????? That can be said on every play if you want to be stupid!!!!!!
Posted by: reg | December 16, 2012 at 02:35 PM
Gonna go watch Ice melt, it's more entertaining
Posted by: Sea of Orange | December 16, 2012 at 02:39 PM
The Dolphins need to select the best player available in next year's draft. The best talent in next year's draft is on the line. Therefore I say draft a pass rusher or a an OL with the first pick. Upgrade the WR position in FA and later in the draft. We also MUST resign Long.
My two draft targets (and hopefuly Ireland's): Werner DE from FSU or Warmack Guard from Alabama.
