The Dolphins are getting timely penalty-calling against the Jaguars -- and that has helped convert multiple third down situations and nullified a touchdown.
The Dolphins are also getting a good rebound game from Ryan Tannehill, who started slow but has now completed 10 of 14 passes including a 4-yard TD to Jorvorskie Lane.
So Miami leads 10-3 going to the third quarter.

We dont have playcallers in the end zone , not playmakers...the O.C. SUCKS !!!!

Bush get run, then hits whole for 2. Then same old same old does the bouncing routine for zero yard. Hit the hole PLEASE!

DC,
I like Devlin enough as a QB that they don't need another QB. When are you proposing they pick one?
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:05 PM
Hartline and Bess all day
Posted by: reg | December 16, 2012 at 03:05 PM
Shorts and Blackmon by a ton. That can't be a serious question Armando, it's not close. Ireland stinks.
Posted by: Andrew | December 16, 2012 at 03:05 PM
Hartline/Bess. Add a speed receiver who can catch and we're away.
Posted by: Mark | December 16, 2012 at 03:06 PM
Do we have anybody else that can run like Reggie? Then...
Oscar,
Reggie is clearly our best RB. It comes down to money.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:06 PM
Looks like about 25000 in the stands.
Posted by: gussoto | December 16, 2012 at 03:06 PM
OK men, non-scientific survey:
Cecil Shorts and Justin Blackmon or Brian Hartline and Davone Bess?
Go!
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 16, 2012 at 03:04 PM
Well, they both have more TD's than hartline and bess combined so would that not help their case??? and they play on an AWFUL jax squad with henne throwing them the ball!!...Just Sayin!!!

Mando,
Ehhhhhhhh....Good question. Right now I'd take Bess & Hartline but the future looks bright for those guys.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:07 PM
Lol at any homer who takes slow and slower. Blackmon is a rookie who will only get better and Shorts has five more TDs than Bess and Hartline COMBINED.
Posted by: Andrew | December 16, 2012 at 03:07 PM
Just the Jags luck. They don't have a QB on their team and they're going to end up with the first or second pick, with no Luck or RGIII in this draft. F8cked again!
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:08 PM
Also, what happened to your 4-12 prediction Craig? Sure are putting a lot of criticism on the rookie QB whom you predicted would lead a 4-12 team? How good did you expect he'd be? Andrew Luck on a 4-12 team?
I predicted the same, therefore, at 5 wins and at least 8 games where he did enough to win, he's overachieving to me. This is the next team up. Why not give him credit for executing the plays?
You're too 1-dimensional dude. There's a HC to blame. A OC. And yes, even a LEFT TACKLE. I guess you're mad Long can't be a part of the end of ANOTHER Season, but get over it.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | December 16, 2012 at 03:08 PM
I would go with Shorts and Blackmon on my team.
And the reason I ask is because you must realize Tannehill does MORE with Harline and Bess while Henne does LESS with Blackmon and Shorts.

Andrew,
How about today??? Not next year or in two years.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:09 PM
Shorts and Blackmon but I seriously hope they e-sign Hartline
Posted by: TNfinfan | December 16, 2012 at 03:09 PM
Armando you are comparing Bistec with Muringa..Hartline-Bess all the way...
Posted by: Tony in Miami | December 16, 2012 at 03:09 PM
We still need 2 More Td's!!
And Keep The Jag's Under 10pts!!
Let Actually Score A TD This Drive!! I want To See Matt Moore In The 4th!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 03:09 PM
Craig I agree with you that Tannehill has been one of the worst rated passers this year. However, he is just a rookie, he does not have elite talent around him, and he does show flashes of brilliance at times (ike today). I beleive that the fins would have won more games this year with Moore but that does not mean T-Hill won't learn and be the future of the franchise. I have also been critical of him but I guess we have to be patient. Nothing left to do but wait and see. He has played well today. Let's give him credit.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 16, 2012 at 03:10 PM
this game is so meaningless that even the clock attendent is trying to speed up the game...
Posted by: superPHIN | December 16, 2012 at 03:10 PM
HenneHill is not the answer, so we're back to square one.
Posted by: The Seer | December 16, 2012 at 03:10 PM
Mando-- have you seen that Brandon Fields 'pass' at practice?
Posted by: Tom | December 16, 2012 at 03:11 PM
He has great chemistry w/ Hartline so I'd keep Hartline and Bess.. With a caveat that u get a receiver to blow top off D's...
Posted by: robbyhernz | December 16, 2012 at 03:11 PM
Hartline - 9 yards away for 1,000 yards on the season!
Posted by: I Hope | December 16, 2012 at 03:11 PM
Did Tanne just change the snap count to "on 3"....lol....
48....GO GO...
48..GO
Posted by: Kris | December 16, 2012 at 03:11 PM
Mando, I agree. Shorts and Blackmon are superior players. Nice run by Tannehill!
Posted by: DC Dolfan | December 16, 2012 at 03:11 PM
U SEE!!!!!!! He can run!!!
Posted by: robbyhernz | December 16, 2012 at 03:11 PM
"I would go with Shorts and Blackmon on my team.

Blackmon & Shorts have more talent & if I were building a team I'd want them but right now Bess & Tannehill are playing at a higher level. Is it b/c Tannehill is better than Henne???? Maybe.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:11 PM
Today it's still Blackmon and Shorts by a lot. Are you high? Blackmon is a very talented rookie and Shorts has quadrupled the dolphins entire WR touchdown production. They're better now, and that gap will only grow with time because they are both young.
You guys are nuts/completely incapable of honestly judging Dolphins players.
Posted by: Andrew | December 16, 2012 at 03:12 PM
A vet should get more out of his receivers. Not quite a fair analysis.
Posted by: Mark | December 16, 2012 at 03:12 PM
DC,
I have NO clue what you're on about above. My 4-12 season had Matt Moore at QB for some if not most of the season. So what's your point?
I can't complain about the QB? Are there rules against that? Yes, I've already complained about some of Philbin and Sherman's decisions? I'm 'too one-dimensional'?
All I've said is, 'the kid hasn't progressed the way some of us would have liked and his accuracy isn't good enough at this point'. YOUR the guy who is already drafting a first round QB in April. You're WAY ahead of me....
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:12 PM
That guy Mathis is their Nolan Carrol
Posted by: jtlawson5 | December 16, 2012 at 03:12 PM
No, Tom. Practice is open for only 30 minutes. They work those kind of plays when no one is around.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 16, 2012 at 03:12 PM
Look at Tannehill go!!!
Posted by: rattlersteve | December 16, 2012 at 03:12 PM
QB is a bust.

Is Reggie Bush our Running back or Ronnie Brown?
Posted by: Tony in Miami | December 16, 2012 at 03:13 PM
Yesterday
Tell us about that scouting report again?
I'm sure we'll here from you the next time RT does something wrong, but until then...silence.

50% of T-Hill incompletions have been drops...
Posted by: robbyhernz | December 16, 2012 at 03:13 PM
Bush keeps doing that same thing to the left.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:14 PM
gotta hold on to that thigpen!!!!
Posted by: rattlersteve | December 16, 2012 at 03:14 PM
GREAT THROW by Tanne.....
GREAT THROW....
Posted by: Kris | December 16, 2012 at 03:14 PM
Orlando,
All I'm saying is his accuracy isn't good enough right now. Blame that on being a rookie or not having enough talent or whatever....it HAS to get better or he's not going to make it.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:14 PM
Tannehil is throwing well today. We neeed to get hims some receivers that hang on to the ball.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 16, 2012 at 03:14 PM
Why dont go for it ? C'mon men
Posted by: Tony in Miami | December 16, 2012 at 03:14 PM
The Jags QB situation is even worse than ours starting a rookie. Jags are well set for the future at the WR position.
Posted by: Andrew | December 16, 2012 at 03:15 PM
Thanks, dumb question but I was curious if you ever saw it work lol
Posted by: Tom | December 16, 2012 at 03:16 PM
we should have 3 TDs in this qtr. gotta execute much better
Posted by: rattlersteve | December 16, 2012 at 03:16 PM
good drive again and better hands from thigpen and it would have been even better
Posted by: reg | December 16, 2012 at 03:16 PM
Drops really hurt THill. Another thing is Sherman does'nt let him get in a rhythm throwing the ball.
Posted by: TNfinfan | December 16, 2012 at 03:16 PM

Craig,
I don't know what game you're watching but Tannehill has looked great since the first two drives. Thigpen just dropped a perfect pass for a TD.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:16 PM
Everyone on the team needs to learn where the 1st down marker is and get there or beyond-I knew that in Gray Y football-but our pro's do not seem to-that is inexcusable from Hartline + Thigpen has to catch that
Posted by: David | December 16, 2012 at 03:16 PM
It's not good enough. But it's been pretty good other than the 1st quarter. The kid is inconsistent. And then you add the other factors (like receivers with too many drops). However, he's been far better than Henne.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | December 16, 2012 at 03:16 PM
we're 5-8, season almost over...playoffs non existant, and playing in front of a docile crowd....U go for the fist pump!!*lmao*
Posted by: superPHIN | December 16, 2012 at 03:17 PM
More fans at a WNBA game than here today. Fin fans suck...
Posted by: robbyhernz | December 16, 2012 at 03:17 PM
Could be 30-3 if we had played well.

You think???

Don't forget how to tackle-boys-we have to win this
Posted by: David | December 16, 2012 at 03:18 PM
Armando -- Thomas is injured, according to Dolphins radio...knee injury. That guy gets hurt often!
Posted by: I Hope | December 16, 2012 at 03:19 PM
WHDPs,
This is one game against a crappy team. We all see that. He needs to get better against the rest of the league. THAT's what I'm talkig about.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:20 PM
Please go to the fourth quarter post now.
