This one has gone pretty much as scripted.
The Dolphins are a solid team playing solid. The Jaguars are a terrible team playing ... well, you know.
Miami's had to settle for way too many field goals today -- three to be exact. It would have been four had coaches not decided on calling a whack fake field goal in which punter Brandon Fields tried to pass the ball for a TD.
Anyway, stay with me. You know no lead is safe against Chad Henne.

QB Ratings after 3 quarters:
RT 113
Eli 35
Peyton Manning 93
Flacco 47

That's the second time Henne checks into a 1-yard run. Terrible.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 16, 2012 at 03:22 PM
Kudos to Hartline reaching 1000 yards. Just the 8th Dolphin WR in history to reach that feat. There were guys on here who wanted this guy cut in camp and he's had a great season. Oh yeah....he was an Ireland draft pick too.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:22 PM
promichael would tell you that Hartline is a 4th or 5th receiver in this league also.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:23 PM
great hold!!!!!
Posted by: rattlersteve | December 16, 2012 at 03:23 PM
Nice play by the D!

"This is one game against a crappy team. We all see that. He needs to get better against the rest of the league. THAT's what I'm talkig about."
Craig,
Agreed. Even the biggest Tahnnehill supporters know that. I hope the improvement comes next season.

I hope: If Thomas is hurt, it happened in warmups because he was not on injury report all week long.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 16, 2012 at 03:24 PM
just end this game.....PLEASE!!!
Posted by: superPHIN | December 16, 2012 at 03:24 PM
Man...The Jaguars are a sorry football team.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:25 PM
Craig, agree he's having a good Season, but did you see that drop last quarter? For a TD? Good WRs get 1,000 yards. GREAT WRs get 10+ TDs/year.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | December 16, 2012 at 03:25 PM
I almost forgot how scared Henne plays the QB position. Just awful
Posted by: Jon | December 16, 2012 at 03:25 PM
Hurt on one good run he had earlier in game.

Cannot chance another season to "find out" if improvement comes nxt yr.
Need to target a QB now & jettison HenneHill

Indy is giving the Texans all they can handle! Good game.
Cousins looking good in D.C. w/o RGIII
We are stuck in Pergatory

"I hope: If Thomas is hurt, it happened in warmups because he was not on injury report all week long.
Mando,
He looked a little shaken up after that first run he had.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:26 PM
DC,
No question. He's a 4th round WR for a reason. Just pary he's not in New England next year. We need top tie talent to complement him.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:26 PM
How about Andrew Luck? How many superbowls will that kid win?
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 16, 2012 at 03:27 PM
Missed it, WHDP. My bad.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 16, 2012 at 03:27 PM
Craig, agree he's having a good Season, but did you see that drop last quarter? For a TD? Good WRs get 1,000 yards. GREAT WRs get 10+ TDs/year.
DC,
Anyway you slice it Hartline is good WR & it will be a HUGE mistake if he's not re-signed.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:27 PM
I agree. He'll be very beneficial with talent around him.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | December 16, 2012 at 03:27 PM
How Many TD's?
Bess Already Had A Thousand Yard Season!! Your Point Craig?
Binns has the same amount of TD's!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 03:27 PM
Hartling is good, but not great. He's an ideal #2 who probably won't be back next year. His agent is Drew Rosenhouse and he already is talking about possibly not being here next season. He'll play for the team that will throw him the most money, not that I blame him at all for that. Just saying
Posted by: Jon | December 16, 2012 at 03:27 PM
craig, it is going to be difficult for T-Hill to play well against the 'better' teams if he has limited weapons and an O-line that hasn't protected well enough at times
Posted by: reg | December 16, 2012 at 03:28 PM
Did he just throw a pass on 3rd & 1???
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:28 PM
superPHIN,
He's a FOURTH round pick. What exactly were you looking for? And it's not all on Hartline he doesn't have more TDs. Some him. Some T-Hill. Some the play-calling and soe the lack of more help. He's had an excellent season.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:28 PM
Binns Is Going To Break The #19 Curse!!
I Like This Kid Already!!
Acorn!!

Need to be able to run out the clock in the 4th qtr.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | December 16, 2012 at 03:29 PM
Nice run Lamar!!!!
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:29 PM
THILL looks good today. I like Mathews. I like Thigpen. Not sure why we haven't seen more from them this year?
Posted by: jpao | December 16, 2012 at 03:30 PM
reg,
I'm not disputing that. But better weapons and a better OL does not guarantee better accuracy. Most of that is on the QB.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:30 PM
this kid Matthews look a very good receiver
Posted by: Tony in Miami | December 16, 2012 at 03:30 PM
Starting to think Miami should seriously consider re-signing Bush or targeting a RB in the draft. Thomas is just too injury prone and he hasn't shown enough to have confidence in him going forward
Posted by: Jon | December 16, 2012 at 03:30 PM
TanneBust = FG FISTPUMP!!
Posted by: Play Moore | December 16, 2012 at 03:30 PM
Throw the ball downfield.

T-Sizzle and No Wr's!!
The Future!! Matthews looks Like a Find! And Binns!
OK!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 03:30 PM
THILL....nice step up in the pocket!!!
Posted by: jpao | December 16, 2012 at 03:31 PM
Mando-Why does every receiver fall down instead of run forward for the TD?
Posted by: David | December 16, 2012 at 03:32 PM
Will the Dullfins ever win another SB?
Posted by: I Doubt It | December 16, 2012 at 03:32 PM
TOTALLY different team since early in the game. They are taking it to Jacksonville now. This is how we played earlier in the year. This is what's been missing lately. Again, a lot of the blame from me goes towards Sherman for the play-calling. THIS is who Tannehill is and needs to become. Be AGGRESSIVE more.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:32 PM
Hartline is definately the type of hard nose receiver that Pats like. He will be a Patriot next year if the fins don't sign him.
BTW- This is the best game I have seen from T-Hill. He has thrown on the run, through tight windows, and had run the ball well.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 16, 2012 at 03:32 PM
NICE drive to bleed the clock. Maybe a crap team, but this is how you SHOULD be doing against them.
Posted by: DC Dolfan | December 16, 2012 at 03:33 PM
Yesterday apparently won't be back to tell us about the scouting report today because RT is putting that report to bed.
Posted by: Razo | December 16, 2012 at 03:33 PM
Bush is having HUGE success today when he doesn't dance.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:33 PM
L.Miller!
Reggie Without The Dancing!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 03:33 PM
Oh no Hartline is hurt.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 16, 2012 at 03:34 PM
OK...two dropped passes in the endzone today. Lets see how they do here. Like to see THIll throw again.
Posted by: jpao | December 16, 2012 at 03:34 PM
Orlando Dolphan,
Agree 100%. If Hartline is allowed to hit the market there's little doubt in my mind the Pats will go all out for him. Especially since they're set to let Welker walk
Posted by: Jon | December 16, 2012 at 03:34 PM
i hope the Dolphins win so they get worse draft choices.
Posted by: Pathetic Franchise | December 16, 2012 at 03:35 PM
Armando, Field Goal or TD?
Posted by: Tony in Miami | December 16, 2012 at 03:35 PM
Now Harline hurt??? F#ck!!!
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:35 PM
Jon,
I agree with you on Bush. Again guys are saying he's gone without having any clue what kind of money he wants. If you guys get your wish and Long's contract isn't here there will be money to spend. To me there are still questions on Thomas and Miller. We don't know enough about Miller yet. Anyone feel confident if it's those two?
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:35 PM
I would sign Bush back. Every team needs that hard working, good influence, fired up player. That is contagious. Even if he misses holes from time to time and dances a little bit too much.
Posted by: jtlawson5 | December 16, 2012 at 03:35 PM
Reggie wants Those 5 Yards!
Good To See that!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 03:35 PM
