This one has gone pretty much as scripted.
The Dolphins are a solid team playing solid. The Jaguars are a terrible team playing ... well, you know.
Miami's had to settle for way too many field goals today -- three to be exact. It would have been four had coaches not decided on calling a whack fake field goal in which punter Brandon Fields tried to pass the ball for a TD.
Anyway, stay with me. You know no lead is safe against Chad Henne.

Pass the damn ball!! Stop Running up the middle.

I understand Craig, but it at least gives the QB a fighting chance and enable him the time to throw the ball 'properly'
Posted by: reg | December 16, 2012 at 03:37 PM
"To me there are still questions on Thomas and Miller. We don't know enough about Miller yet. Anyone feel confident if it's those two?"
Craig,
No.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:37 PM
Dolphins with some serious ball control. Had the ball 10 more minutes than JAX so far.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 16, 2012 at 03:37 PM
Kris,
A little balance.....
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:37 PM
And the fins playoff hopes are still alive lol. However, more importantly this is what I wanted to see from the fins the rest of this year. Tannehill going out strong giving us some hope for the future and knowing that going into next year the number one priority is providing him protection and giving him some weapons.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 16, 2012 at 03:37 PM
Craig...
again....
J-ville has quit...this is no great FEAT being put on by the FINS....this isn't the PATS destroying the Texans ...or even Denver SPanking B'more....
Its the Fins beating the Jags,,,,
and nobody is watching except us DIE HARDS....do you see the stadium shots......
Posted by: Kris | December 16, 2012 at 03:38 PM
And Kris....you're one of the guys who wanted Hartline gone before the season started. You didn't think it was fair that Crowder was treated differently.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:38 PM
Hartline was a Parcells draft pick, not Ireland. Which explains why he is competent probably.
He never makes anyone miss though.
Posted by: Andrew | December 16, 2012 at 03:39 PM
finally a good playcall in the red rone
Posted by: rattlersteve | December 16, 2012 at 03:39 PM
Hartline has to be the only 1,000yd wr in nfl history with only 1 RECIEVING TD! LOL...
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone 4Ever! | December 16, 2012 at 03:39 PM
Ruining our draft position................shortsighted.
Posted by: The Seer | December 16, 2012 at 03:39 PM
I'd like to see a TD here but a FG here should be enough to beat these clowns.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:39 PM
T-Sizzle. Just wait until he has some weapons and a year in the league under his belt
Posted by: Jon | December 16, 2012 at 03:39 PM
Fasano....
2 week in a row with a TD pass....
Last time he did that Ireland signed him to a BIG FAT extension....
Posted by: Kris | December 16, 2012 at 03:39 PM
Wish we could play Jags every week!! Sooo relaxed right now...
Posted by: robbyhernz | December 16, 2012 at 03:40 PM
TD fasano!!!!!!
Posted by: reg | December 16, 2012 at 03:40 PM
seriosly craig, what defense would fear hartline, yes, hes good and solid but he's not a burner and he can easily be taken out of a game when needed, his seperation is limited and he is not someone who you can hang your head down and depend on through crunch time....
Posted by: superPHIN | December 16, 2012 at 03:40 PM
WOW ....WE WENT ABOVE THE AVERAGE SCORING ...we have to get drunk today Folks....

No fair bringing up facts, dude. Whiners don't like that.

Wish we played the Jaguars every week.

Craig,
L.Miller is a RB!!
Add That He Is A RB From The U!!
You Have a Standard!!
A Pedigree!! If You Will!! Right Now!! UM has Barry Sanders 2.0! The Duke!!
So Yes!! The Fins Will Be Okay With L.Miller & Thomas & Thigpen!
Bush and Hartline are On The Way Out!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 03:40 PM
VERY pleased that this team is doing what they need to do against a very BAD team. They are not playing down to the level of the competition, and they are opening up the playbook. Good way to end the season, and build toward next year! NICE!
Posted by: I Hope | December 16, 2012 at 03:41 PM
That was classless
Posted by: nyfinfan | December 16, 2012 at 03:41 PM
What will it be?
6-10
7-9
or 8-8 and backing in to the playoffs?
Posted by: Noplayoffsagain | December 16, 2012 at 03:41 PM
The Jags have found their QB of the future with Henne.
Posted by: Ireland's Republican Army | December 16, 2012 at 03:41 PM
Ryan Tannehill has thrown 2 TDs in a game twice this season. Last time was Oct. 14 vs. St. Louis.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 16, 2012 at 03:41 PM
There you go Craig....Kudos to a 1,000 yard receiver on a CRAP 6-8 team...and "he was an Ireland draf pick".....
well I got NEWS for you Craig...the REST of this PILE of DUNG are Ireland Draft picks 2.....
Posted by: Kris | December 16, 2012 at 03:35 PM
U unhappy bro? You are always so negative.
Posted by: Klondike | December 16, 2012 at 03:41 PM
Kris,
I'm not disputing the level of our competition today. I'm calling out the 'Henning-like' playcalling we've seen the last few weeks. Conservative. Boring. This isn't Tannehill's game. He took it to people early in the year. That's what we saw. All goes back to this 'reeling in' of our QB and I'm blaming some of the playcalling.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:41 PM
Dashi,
Even though he dropped a TD pass Thigpen is a heck of an athlete.
Posted by: We Have Draft Picks | December 16, 2012 at 03:42 PM
That's playing odds NYfan. 19 point lead to 20 is nothing, going to 21 is what you should do.
Posted by: KS | December 16, 2012 at 03:42 PM
Craig M....
It wouldn't bother me even a little bit if Hartline walks....
He is like the rest of Ireland draft picks....average....and disappears for games @ a time....
Posted by: Kris | December 16, 2012 at 03:42 PM
that is the type of throw Henne couldn't make, a pass needing a bit of touch. And with us having T-Hill who is mobile definately opens up our chances of scoring. Great 2pt play to. This is the time to try these
Posted by: reg | December 16, 2012 at 03:43 PM
I can't watch the game as I'm here in DC (between my daughter going to Baylor and the Redskins nuts about Robert, I'm in my own private Idaho (state of mind).
Is Tannehill's success due to Jax's secondary, or is he not running for his life (for once)???
Posted by: thefakesteveyoung | December 16, 2012 at 03:43 PM
7-9. 8-8 would drop the team a good 4-5 spots in the draft and the Pats love beating the hell out of Miami the last game of the season. But hey, you never know. The only thing that matters is that T-Hill keeps playing like he has the last few weeks and continues to improve
Posted by: Jon | December 16, 2012 at 03:44 PM
Clearly, the Ireland boycott is working. I've never seen the stadium emptier.
Posted by: Monte | December 16, 2012 at 03:44 PM
Here is my solution to the Ireland problem. Let him pick from the 5th to the 7th rounds and sign undrafted players. So you get your reliable, good special teams, maybe diamond on the rough player. But let somebody else pick from the first round to the 4th so we can get winning, pro bowl caliber players...
Posted by: jtlawson5 | December 16, 2012 at 03:44 PM
7-9!!
The Number 18th Pick In The Draft!!
My Te'o Dream Up In Smoke?!
Well Last time We had #18 We Went O-Line Right?
Womack? anyone!!
Yes, O-Line!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 03:44 PM
Armando - It would be interesting to find out how many plays were "new" for this game.
It's time for the defense to take the ball back...just for fun!
Posted by: I Hope | December 16, 2012 at 03:45 PM
Kris,
I'll remember that when he's eating us up every time we play the Pats in the Welker role. You can remind me then that's he average.
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:45 PM
We need to keep Hartline. He has become a favorite target for T-Hill. You want to add to the good players we have. Hartline would be even better with a #1 receiver attracting the attention.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 16, 2012 at 03:45 PM
Ok defense-don't relax and give this game away!
Posted by: David | December 16, 2012 at 03:45 PM
I said before the start that we couldn't win today. Even if we did 'win' it was only against the Jags.
But if this gives some confidence to a few players then a win it is!
Posted by: Mark | December 16, 2012 at 03:45 PM
too many FGs and that continues to be a problem, agree, but at 24-3, even against a bad team, solid performance overall--a little ugly and we left points on the field, but thats basically the way its been most of the year.
Posted by: benz | December 16, 2012 at 03:45 PM
Bottom line is hartline even with his success in miami is very replacable in this offense if he's looking for a big pay day in the offseason...let him walk....
Posted by: superPHIN | December 16, 2012 at 03:45 PM

FakeSteveYoung,
Both but he's also throwing the ball well today.

Is Dansby Tired?
Why Is The Defense Quiting?
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 03:46 PM
Armando you are truly amazing T-Hill takes the team the length of the field on a clock sapping drive and all you say is it's only the 2nd time he has had 2 TD's in a game. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!
You do everything you can not to give him credit when credit is due!!!!
Posted by: reg | December 16, 2012 at 03:47 PM
nice to see L Miller get a few carries......did Thomas get dinged again?--looked like it, got up slow and limping somewaht--took another big hit to the head
Posted by: benz | December 16, 2012 at 03:47 PM
Here's my simple yet shrewd solution to the Ireland problem:
[15 minutes after last game of the year]:
Ross: "Jeff....you're fired. Best of luck for the future. You may return to Miami on the Team Charter."
Posted by: The Seer | December 16, 2012 at 03:48 PM
Here comes the REAL reason we are 5-8. For alll the QB whining...We lose more games at the end because of the secondary.
Posted by: thefakesteveyoung | December 16, 2012 at 03:48 PM
Monte,
There were more people at Marlins games.....BEFORE they moved! LOL
Posted by: Shula 73 | December 16, 2012 at 03:49 PM
Dashi,
I know this won't mean anything to you but it's called 'prevent defence'. The defence gives these guys a bit of a cushion to prevent the big play and guys getting behind them.
Look it up....
Posted by: Craig M | December 16, 2012 at 03:49 PM
IMO, The Tennessee and Buffalo games spooked the coaching staff and they scaled back the offense and went conservative. They were worried about his confidence and breaking him like so many teams do to rookie QB's their first year. That's just my take
Posted by: Jon | December 16, 2012 at 03:49 PM
Kris,
I'll remember that when he's eating us up every time we play the Pats in the Welker role. You can remind me then that's he average.

That is a real possibility.....

Another Game With No INT's!!
Can't wait! Til We Get Weapons!!
Expect Bess To Play Next Week!! And Hartline To Sit!!
L.Miller is The Future RB!! Specially with D.Thomas Being More Injury Prone Than R.Brown!!
Expect The Fins To Draft Another RB!! This Year!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 16, 2012 at 03:51 PM

Reg,
It's horrible isn't???
Hmmm....Funny how the all haters magically disappeared. People make like we drafted Tim Couch or Blaine Gabbert.
