Dolphins lead Jags 16-3 going to fourth quarter

This one has gone pretty much as scripted.

The Dolphins are a solid team playing solid. The Jaguars are a terrible team playing ... well, you know.

Miami's had to settle for way too many field goals today -- three to be exact. It would have been four had coaches not decided on calling a whack fake field goal in which punter Brandon Fields tried to pass the ball for a TD.

Anyway, stay with me. You know no lead is safe against Chad Henne.

Fins should bring in some hired gun consultants to help them with next year's draft pick selection and FA acquisitions.

Here comes the REAL reason we are 5-8. For alll the QB whining...We lose more games at the end because of the secondary.

FakeSteve,

This team needs a LOT of improvement on both sides of the ball.

McCann > Carroll or Wilson

Great play by McCann. This is the first game I've seen our CB's (Smith had one earlier) knocking passes away.

Same ole damn Henne. Sucks in the redzone! LOL...

So much for drafting Matt Barkley. We wont get him now.

Man!!! Great catch but out of bounds.

Sure The Fins want To Give Up a TD!!

Great Defense Want 3& OUT!!

THAT IS REAL PREVENT DEFENSE!!

GET THE BALL BACK!! AND RUN THE CLOCK OUT!!

No Such Thing as Prevent Defense In The NFL!! Team want To Win!! And Win BIG!!

2 Minutes Left!! You Don't Let The Other Team Score!!

That Is Simple Football!!

We didnt exactly overwhelm Mt Union today. Oops, I mean Jacksonville. LOL...

CAMERON WAKE!

If I were Stephen Ross I would want Ireland to sit down at the end of the year and explain IN DETAIL what he plans on doing in the off-season to fix the team. If it mostly involves re-signing the teams FA's that have led to 3 soon to be 4 losing season's, I fire him and move on.

$45 mil in cap room and 5 picks in the first 100. This will not happen again most likely. You have to absolutely nail this off-season or the franchise will be set back for years...again

One thing is good for sure. Henne is not a dolphin anymore

2 terrible QB's.

good stand by the D......

Miami 24 Mt Union 3!

And there are ACTUALLY Dolphin fans who think that Henne is better than Tannehill...LOL!!!

T-Hill has to change up the cadences. I hear 180 GO GO 20 times a game. Surprised the coaching staff hasn't hit him on that yet

The toilet bowl Woo hooo!!!! Go Pinns!!!

Uh HUH!!

Wake In Coverage!!

Mr.W!!

The Defense Played Great!!

This Is The Standard!! Hold People Without a TD!!

Yes!! It's The Jags!! But This was A Whole Team Win!!

A Must Win!! We Can Put To Rest The Henne vs T-Sizzle Debate To Rest!! First Round KO!!

WHDP, This is what annoys me, by all means be critical when necessary but you should also give credit where credit is due. Armando has continously moaned about T-Hill not closing games out. He does it yet.............Nothing!!!!! Sign of a critic(along with others) that really don't know what they are talking about. Serial moaners and monday morning coaches who think they sound clever after the play!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make no mistake, the Miami Dolphins do not need Matt Barkley. He is just like every other QB from USC that has come into the NFL over recent memory.

I say again, Ryan Tannehill is the QB next year. New coaching staff, rookie QB. The guy is coming back, unless he's hurt.

Important win for this team. They were supposed to win, and they did. Good job to the entire team!

T-hill's future will be brighter if he scores two passing TDs in each of the remaining two games.

He's still shooting for the least passing TDs by a Fin rookie.

Not sure what the NFL rookie low is for 16 games.

YG, didn't they take a good team to OT a couple weeks ago? Being able to beat a horrible team badly is a start. Scored over 20 points. Defense held them to 0 TDs. Those are credible stats.

I don't care about draft position. My objective for this year is to see improvememt from Tannehill and we saw that today. I would love to go out with a ban win our last 3 including the one in NE the last game of the year. At least we will have something to look forward to.

Told you guys, this defense is not great, but good enough to win.

On the other hand, this offense struggle to put up 24pts against the Mt Union defense today.

I TOLD you that we would be celebrating this afternoon! What a monumental victory!! And to think some posters here are critical of Jeff Ireland. Well, this win certainly silences all of them permanently.

Henne > Tannehill Dont forget Henne is playing against a much tougher D.

DC,

We'
ve been in the game against good teams this year because the defense is good, but, not great.

There were about 2 gms this year that defense was really terrible. We were blown out in each. Why? We cant score tds regular enough.

Jon,

I totally agree with you. Ireland & his staff have to get it right this offseason by surrounding Tannehill with more weapons. They also need to find guys who can make impact plays on defense. The lack of turnovers is a major problem but what bothers me even more is the poor tackling which is unacceptable.

The only guy I'm 100% sold on re-signing is Hartline. After that I'd say Smith but there are going to be some tough decisions on high profile names like Long & Bush.

I knew those two overtime games would come back to haunt us. Then thow in the Indy and Buff game...that is 4 games damn it. Take that sht away and we can throw away the last game of the season and still make the playoff's and maybe even the wild card game at home. YOU CAN'T THROW AWAY THOSE EARLY GAMES!!!

Hey Irelands Republican Army....I hope your just kidding.

It can still be a 6-10 season.

Bills game is 50-50.

Pats game could be 50-50 if Pats give their key players only one half of play.

He appeals to the Tannehaters. Personally I think he's been way off the mark on Tannehill. I haven't heard one analyst who covers the NFL who was a former QB that thinks Tannehill won't be a good one.

Ken,

I don't like to see us lose games but we need higher draft picks more than winning meaningless games. We're not a good team yet & we most likely won't be better than 8-8 next year. This team has holes all over the place.

Maybe Bush is trying out for dancing with the stars? How many open holes does this guy dance around. Open hole, hit it! Stop with the dancing. I swear to God if Bushes vision equaled his ability he would be unstoppable.

Henne fans can we put this to rest now? He just got outplayed by a rookie qb who only played qb for 1 1/2 years before entering the NFL. Just stop, thank him for his time and move on, he's not an nfl starting qb and never will be.

Tannehill 22-28 220yds 2 td 0 int , 8 rushes 52 yds .

And still people complain ! Lol. Haters going to hate no matter what!

Good win! Go dolphins!
