FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Partiots have been churning yards and moving the chains but it wasn't until Ryan Tannehill threw an interception to open the door that they got on the scoreboard.
Ryan Tannehill threw his first interception in 136 passes (four games) and that gave New England the football inside the Dolphins 20 yard line.
Tom Brady threw a 9 yard pass to Wes Welker a couple of plays later.
That's not all the bad news.
Starting corner Dimitri Patterson came off the field late in the first quarter with an ankle injury. The Dolphins were already without Nolan Carroll. That thrust Bryan McCann into starting duty.

Miller + Matthews

Insure, it's not about how fast the Pats run their offense, it's about how well.
they just broke the team record for first downs by an NFL team in a year. You pick up 400+ first downs, you have the defense on their heels.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 30, 2012 at 05:21 PM
The Patriots are looking at us like we are fresh fish.
Posted by: dj starface | December 30, 2012 at 05:21 PM
Armando, he is here to speak the TRUTH and not put out fluff pieces like you do time and time again.
I am in Philly now and the media here GETS CHANGES DONE.
The Miami Dolphins coverage in Miami is like a communist following of the Ross dictatorship.
MAKE SOME NOISE!
GET IRELAND OUT!

Sorry, meant FINS.
Posted by: IMAWriter | December 30, 2012 at 05:22 PM
You tell him Armando!!!
Posted by: InsureThisOnline | December 30, 2012 at 05:22 PM
Look how predicatable - 2nd and 1 and you run a draw-
YOU RETARDS
Posted by: The Fins Suck | December 30, 2012 at 05:22 PM
Based on the way our OL is protecting the QB today, I am starting to think that keeping Long is a priority. To go into next year with Garner as the starting RT is dangerous. We will have to use one of our first 3 picks on a RT if Long walks.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 30, 2012 at 05:22 PM
Jeeeeeez ... don't telegraph the run
Posted by: Ignignokt | December 30, 2012 at 05:22 PM
Tannehill is not accurate.
Its so frustrating.
Posted by: The Fins Suck | December 30, 2012 at 05:23 PM
Tannehill has Reggie Bush wide open for a TD and missed him.
Posted by: Armando Salguero | December 30, 2012 at 05:23 PM
Got to hit those....
Tanne need to work on touch in Off season.....
Posted by: Kris | December 30, 2012 at 05:23 PM
Classic Tannehill overthrow. That will NEVER improve, unfortunately. Henne part 2.
Posted by: TJ | December 30, 2012 at 05:23 PM
Mike Sherman has been so bad this year it's unreal. His plays are completely telegraphed.
Oh, Tannehill overthrows a wide open guy deep, that is new. Not!
Posted by: Andrew | December 30, 2012 at 05:23 PM
Honestly I be fine if we let Bush walk. Tannehill misses a wide open Reggie!!!! His accuracy sucks!

Craig,
Who Is The MLB's For The Giants?
Don't They Have 3 Great DE's!!
Now Who Is The MLB!! In San Fran, Seahawks! And Probably The Top 5 Teams!! Leading In Sack!!
Craig If You Think Pass Rush Is Just Getting To The QB!! You are Wrong!!
Pass Rush!! Is Scheme and Team!! Not DE's and OLB's!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 30, 2012 at 05:23 PM
Was Bush slow or did Tanne overthrow?
Posted by: 72perfectstill | December 30, 2012 at 05:23 PM
That is a horrible call bit we will take it.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 30, 2012 at 05:23 PM

Posted by: InsureThisOnline | December 30, 2012 at 05:24 PM
That lame flag was the refs making up for that no call on Thigpen in the first quarter.
Posted by: 48-Go | December 30, 2012 at 05:24 PM
Boy do I hate when I (and everybody else watching this game) know exactly what play the dolphins are running before they run it
Posted by: jtlawson5 | December 30, 2012 at 05:24 PM
Matthews was a good 7th round pick.

Posted by: Angry Elf | December 30, 2012 at 05:25 PM
That was a great throw
Posted by: jtlawson5 | December 30, 2012 at 05:25 PM
Armando,
Can you tell us why the NE defence is in the backfield all game? Surely that's got to be on our OL, no? What's going on today?
anyone under the impression that New England has a dominant pass rush?
Posted by: Craig M | December 30, 2012 at 05:25 PM
He dropped it. What a pass by T-Hill.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | December 30, 2012 at 05:25 PM

Posted by: Kris | December 30, 2012 at 05:25 PM

Posted by: zaphod | December 30, 2012 at 05:26 PM
Funny Thing Is Hartline Missed a Catch Just Like The Binns One Last week!
At Least Binns Turned In The Air!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 30, 2012 at 05:26 PM

The Pats are Abusing The Edge!!
Posted by: Dashi | December 30, 2012 at 05:27 PM

Posted by: Angry Fin Fan | December 30, 2012 at 05:27 PM
Phil Simms' piped-in voice will certainly be one of the punishments in hell.
Posted by: Angry Elf | December 30, 2012 at 05:27 PM
Yes. One down.
Posted by: oscar canosa | December 30, 2012 at 05:27 PM
I say go for it here. We're in four down territory the rest of the game! LOL!!!!
Posted by: zaphod | December 30, 2012 at 05:28 PM
Please let Reggie walk and we need JL back Martin sucks as LT. Garner sucks at RT
Posted by: Clue | December 30, 2012 at 05:28 PM
Armando, I'm here in hopes that if I point out the truth enough, someone in the Miami media will start calling for Ireland to be fired instead of the weird praise he receives for accumulating draft picks by trading away our only competent wide receiver.
And, fwiw, you are less of an Ireland apologist than Omar Kelly at the sun sentinel.
Posted by: Andrew | December 30, 2012 at 05:28 PM
I also like Mathews and think that he is a keeper. We have to wait for players to develop sometimes. Everyone wants to get all these FA receivers. I would take one FA receiver, resign Hartline, and wait for guys like Mathews to develop.
