The postseason awards are starting to filter in now and at least one Dolphins player is being recognized for a great season:
Cameron Wake.
Wake was today voted to the 2012 All NFL team by Pro Football Weekly and the Professional Football Writers of America. This is deserved as Wake had a career-high 15 sacks in 2012. I am assuming the big award, the All Pro awards by the Associated Press, will also recognize Wake in the coming weeks.
I am one of the 50 people that vote for All Pro and I voted for Wake. So we'll see. Meanwhile, the PFF/PFWA All NFL team and awards are below:

Didnt we have that guy Brandon Marshall on the team?? What do you know he's All Pro. F U C K U Ireland
Posted by: Clue | January 10, 2013 at 05:04 PM
We had a shot to draft Earl Thomas! What do you know Ireland trades down for Odrick.. How does Ireland still have a job?
Posted by: Clue | January 10, 2013 at 05:06 PM
All-Pro which is much different tha Pro-Bowlers. La Creme de la Creme.
Posted by: oscar canosa | January 10, 2013 at 05:08 PM
We had a shot at TY Hilton and Ireland decided to draft Egcrap! Double f u c k u Ireland!
Posted by: Clue | January 10, 2013 at 05:11 PM
Wouldn't mind having a Team made of all those Pro-Bowlers.
Posted by: oscar canosa | January 10, 2013 at 05:12 PM
I had no idea Armando had so much power! 1 out of 50 votes. Plus, he has the trust of the players, the team, and the fans. He's like the Castro of the Dolphins ;)

Sorry fellas.....busy day on this end!
matty,
Congratulations on the new addition!! I think you said it's a girl. Being a father of two who are grwoing up very quickly, I can relate. Seems like just recently they were that age.
Kris,
I've never done cross-fit but there's a woman I play squash with, who does it 3 times a week, and I can confirm she is in EXCELLENT shape (wink!wink!). She wears by it but it is in fact VERY gruelling!!....have fun with it!!
I missed most of the talk today but hopefully all is well with everyone. I have no football to talk about today....sorry.
Posted by: Craig M | January 10, 2013 at 05:18 PM
Congrats to Cam Wake for the accolades....fully deserving!
Nah....we wouldn't want ANY of those guys on the All Pro offensive line. Must be a COICIDENCE that all their teams made the playoffs. After all, you don't need OL to be successful in this league....right fellas? It's a passing league!
Posted by: Craig M | January 10, 2013 at 05:20 PM
Luke Kuechly was a given. Only not part of our needs last year. Same will happen this year to Us with some of these outstanding Rookies.
Posted by: oscar canosa | January 10, 2013 at 05:21 PM
Thank you Craig
Posted by: mattybfrom nc | January 10, 2013 at 05:24 PM
Didn't the Dolphins have that all-pro Brandon Marshall last year? Great trade.....
Posted by: fins4ever | January 10, 2013 at 05:25 PM
Not sure if anyone mentioned it on here today but did anyone see the report on Junior Seau's brain? Seems like a ton of damage from his playing days. What a SHAME! I have to think he was one of my all time favourite players. Interesting we have seen this in football now and in hockey, with some of the enforcers. Good thing they are doing their best to take hits to the head out of the game. We don't need to see an increase in these type of tragic deaths.
Posted by: Craig M | January 10, 2013 at 05:26 PM
That's what we would prefer in that 1st Round this Year, givens in explosive O Players.
Posted by: oscar canosa | January 10, 2013 at 05:29 PM
I'm not seeing too many 'T'eo is the BEST player in this draft by far' quotes this week. Where did everyone go?
Posted by: Craig M | January 10, 2013 at 05:31 PM
Hey, where is odin? He liked Kuechly too before last year's Draft. Credit where credit is due.
Posted by: oscar canosa | January 10, 2013 at 05:35 PM
Hey, Egnew replaced Da Beast. HAHAHAHAHA
Posted by: Duck Dynasty | January 10, 2013 at 05:44 PM
Shouldnt Manning get MVP and comeback player?
Posted by: Jay | January 10, 2013 at 05:45 PM
Good job Cam Wake.
Posted by: klndry | January 10, 2013 at 05:57 PM
Someone mentioned Jeff Fisher on previous blog. The comment I can't recall and is unrelated to this. I recall a majority of the fans screaming for Jeff Fisher to be the next Miami coach. And all bent out of shape when he "turned us down" (I don't really see it as he turned us down but that would be for another post) Bottom line here is that with much superior picks in last years draft, a "franchise QB" and for all intense prposes probably a better roster what did the Rams finish the season at? Oh yeah 7-8-1. Pretty much on par for Fishers career. So not really much better than Miami with better picks, better QB (at the moment) and better players for the most part. BTW, who won the head to head matchup this year also. Oh yeah thats right. Yep, Miami got the coaching pick correct.
Your welcome.

once the season starts,YOU DON'T HEAR A WORD COMING OUT OF WAKE'S MOUTH .........BUT MR 48 MILLION DANSBY NEVER STOP TALKING........
THAT'S WHY WAKE IS ALL NFL .........
Posted by: ALoco | January 10, 2013 at 06:02 PM
what makes the Ireland bashers so disingenuous is that the come here only to beat him down without ever acknowledging a single thing he as done well.
like Mr. Wake for example.
Posted by: verdad | January 10, 2013 at 06:04 PM
VERDED........
THE TUNA SIGNED WAKE,NOT OUR GARAGE MANAGER,,,,,
Posted by: ALoco | January 10, 2013 at 06:07 PM
Therion,
Not landing Jeff Fisher was a nightmare blow to the Dolphin franchise. Dont forget the Rams were 2-14 before Fisher joined. The Rams improved from 2-14 the prior year to basically .500. Fisher indeed turned us down and the Rams have now passed the Dolphins for good.
Posted by: Vazman | January 10, 2013 at 06:10 PM
It was Parcells that found Wake.
Posted by: Monte | January 10, 2013 at 06:11 PM
GREAT JOB BIG CAM !! NOW IF JEFFY CAN ONLY FIND YOU SOME HELP ON THE OTHER SIDE I CAN SEE ANOTHER 3-5 SACKS ADDED NEXT YEAR. GREAT JOB AGAIN AND THE DOLPHINS KNOW THAT YOU ARE THE TYPE PLAYER WE NEED MORE OF.
Posted by: TK SWAN!! | January 10, 2013 at 06:11 PM
Therion,
You forget one very important thing: "LONGTERM".
Fisher has the Skins 2013 and 2014 1st rd draft picks. Both years they'll have 2 #1 draft picks. Then we'll see who really came out on top.
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone 4Ever! | January 10, 2013 at 06:18 PM
No way Vazman. Who cares what they turned it around to. They still had a losing record. We were 1-15 and under Tony Sparano went 11-5 the next year and made the playoffs. So youre point is kind of invalid. Don't think Fisher turned us down. He wanted all the power and Ross kindly said, I don't think so bud.
Posted by: Therion | January 10, 2013 at 06:18 PM
Irescum found Pat White, D Thomas, P Merling, Egnew, Clyde Gates, and a hooka mom he didnt like.
Posted by: Monte | January 10, 2013 at 06:18 PM
Therion, Ross was shocked when Fisher turned us down.
Posted by: Monte | January 10, 2013 at 06:20 PM
Im not saying Fisher would did any better job than Philbin if he were here. But in St Louis, his shorterm longterm is much brighter(2 #1 picks in these next two seasons).
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone 4Ever! | January 10, 2013 at 06:20 PM
If a nightmare blow to a franchise is not landing a career .500 coach then that teams fan base is more off ther rocker than previously thought.
Posted by: Therion | January 10, 2013 at 06:21 PM
Parcells turned us around like Fisher turned the Rams around.
Posted by: Vazman | January 10, 2013 at 06:21 PM
Therion, pass whatever you're smokin. LOL
Posted by: Monte | January 10, 2013 at 06:23 PM
The Rams were a WAY underperforming team that Fisher got to what his career reflects he can do. But opinions flow either way, moving along...
Posted by: Therion | January 10, 2013 at 06:23 PM
Funny the Rams didnt want Philbin, huh?
Posted by: Monte | January 10, 2013 at 06:27 PM
If I was smoking it Monte I doubt I would pass it to you
Posted by: Therion | January 10, 2013 at 06:27 PM
Vazman,
The Rams nearly won thier division 1 yr prior to 1-15. Bradford's first season was his best.
It was basically injuries that brought the Rams down to 1-15, ot gross lack of talent. Fisher basically only got hem back to where they were the year prior to going 1-15.
Remember 2010? The Rams and Seahawks battled it out I think it was the last game of the season to see who won the division to get into the playoffs. Seattle won that game, the divison, making the playoffs at 9-7. U think Bradford and the Rams finished 8-8 in 2010
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone 4Ever! | January 10, 2013 at 06:27 PM
Fisher was higher on Ross's list then Philbin. That is a fact. And he was/is much higher on my list. Rookie NFL HC's have not been kind to the Dolphins. Saban, Cameron, Sparano, all failures. And the Dolphins hire ANOTHER rookie HC? WTF? No one with a choice joins the lowly Fins.
Posted by: Tony Nathan | January 10, 2013 at 06:33 PM
THE RAMS ARE LIVING IN THE CELLAR NEXT TO US.
Posted by: ALoco | January 10, 2013 at 06:33 PM
Who cares what the Rams wanted??
We were projected to be in the AFC East cellar, if not the AFC cellar, if not the NFL Cellar. We finished 2nd in the division and tied for 8th in the AFC. With a Rookie HC, Rookie QB and almost new everything else. The Rams finished with the EXACT same number of wins we did...
so come on man.
Posted by: Therion | January 10, 2013 at 06:34 PM
Therion 3 rookie QB's went to the playoffs! Stop with the excuses.
Posted by: Monte | January 10, 2013 at 06:37 PM
From nfl.com
In 2010, the Rams and Seahawks both finished 7-9. Seattle won the division like I said.
2011 the Rams finished 1-15
2012 finished 7-8-1
So Fisher actually got them 1/2 game from where they finshed in 2010. So with an entire draft and 2 seasons later they were still 1/2 game better in 2010, than with Fisher in 2011.
That's with a Sam bradford having 2 more seasons of nfl experience too. LOL...
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone 4Ever! | January 10, 2013 at 06:39 PM
There have been plenty of failures here, there is no doubt about that. But to think we would be better off with a mediocre head coach that would consistantly keep us in the middle of the pack is foolish, to me. I would much rather go all in on an unknown commodity, and see what happens. I would like ot think our arrow is pointing up. The Rams, even. The Jets, down. The Bills, even. But there is no question that we are siting here discussing these things instead of a game this weekend. Of course that is the ultimate goal. To be talking about the next game in January.
Posted by: Therion | January 10, 2013 at 06:42 PM
Therion, TanneBust is the only starting rookie QB that didnt make the playoffs. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!
Posted by: Zonk | January 10, 2013 at 06:43 PM
Yeah Oscar but who is really the best bowler out of the pro-bowlers or the writers bowlers do they get rings if they win either award oscar?which award accompanies a check and a trophy.Wake looks like he could bowl a 300.
Posted by: KingShula | January 10, 2013 at 06:43 PM
We had moe improvement under Philbin when comparing 2010(6-10) to 2012(7-9), than the Rams in 2010(7-9) to 2012(7-8-1).
We are a game and half better. The Rams are still 1/2 game worse. Fisher had more talent to work with too. LOL...
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone 4Ever! | January 10, 2013 at 06:44 PM
Hopefully, we can get one of our rookies on the all rookie team next year. We had none this year. Does not having anyone on the all rookie team a reflection of this year's draft. Thre are plenty of players on it that are not first round picks.
I am guessing that Pouncey was on last year's team but I wonder how many of Ireland's rookies have been on the all rookie team since he has been GM? Puncey and Long for sure?
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | January 10, 2013 at 06:45 PM
Aloco usually Rams live at high altitudes while Dolphins can swim to great depths but also are known for doing push-ups on the sea, thats when you see em,you know what Im sayin bro.
Posted by: KingShula | January 10, 2013 at 06:47 PM
Therion, You can thank Sporono for the Jets last place, and can thank Dave Wannstad for Buffalos demise too., Dont think the fins did anything near Great, They were 7 and 9...For the third stright season.
They were Losers. It just so happends Buffalo andthe Jets had Miami EX Head coaches..LOL
Why any team in there right minds would touch any EX Fin coachis a mystery, Kinda like giving a gun to a Manic depressent person.

Zonk,
When the hell did Brandon Weedon make the playoffs? You said Tannehill was "the only starting rookie qb who didnt".
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone 4Ever! | January 10, 2013 at 06:47 PM
Why do you guys even follow the sport if it infuriates you so much?
I'm serious about that. Some of you quite LITERALLY seem to think this stuff is REALLY important rather than just a diversion.
I can't imagine going through life so miserable and creepily obsessive about a freaking GAME.

A PLUMBER ????
Posted by: ALoco | January 10, 2013 at 06:49 PM
Orlando,
If you noticed, only 22 rookies are on the all rokie team. Close to 230 of them are drafted. An awful lot of other teams didnt have rookies on the team either.
The Colts have 3 and Andrew Luck isnt even on the team. Relax man. LOL...
Posted by: Yesterday's Gone 4Ever! | January 10, 2013 at 06:50 PM
Colts have 3 on the all rookie team because Hilton is named at 2 different positions. My bad. LOL...

Sorry, New Jersey.
Posted by: ( . ) ( . ) MaGee. | January 10, 2013 at 06:54 PM
YG,
Good point that only 22 are on the rookie. It is just always good to see your rookies considered the best at their position. It would be nice to have one.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | January 10, 2013 at 06:55 PM
Philbin will be back as an OC in 2 years. He's worse then Sparano.
