Cameron Wake is All NFL

The postseason awards are starting to filter in now and at least one Dolphins player is being recognized for a great season:

Cameron Wake.

Wake was today voted to the 2012 All NFL team by Pro Football Weekly and the Professional Football Writers of America. This is deserved as Wake had a career-high 15 sacks in 2012. I am assuming the big award, the All Pro awards by the Associated Press, will also recognize Wake in the coming weeks.

I am one of the 50 people that vote for All Pro and I voted for Wake. So we'll see. Meanwhile, the PFF/PFWA All NFL team and awards are below:

REESE............YOU MAY BE RIGHT ,STILL DENVER HAVE MADE A LOT OF MONEY THIS YEAR.WHICH COUNT FOR A LOT.

Peyton is probably the saddest person on earth right now, but the richest sad person. He won't catch little brother Eli in Rings.

I would much perfer wallace to be our #1 target in FA, yes I know he has some drops but he's young and a premiere WR in the league...the man just wants to be paid and doesnt present the headaches marshall did when he was here nor the age and injury problems jennings offers us signing here either....

Signing wallace and even a TE in Keller or Miller would make this FA a much more promising one than miami has had in recent years..

Even considering wallace had a down year in pitts, he still recorded over 800 yrds of recieving and 8 TDS......thats more TDS than bess and hartline have had in two years combined...JUST SAYIN!!!

The question is did Denver make enough more money to cover Peytons super high salary for the next few years? His salary is guaranteed unless they cut him soon, and they should.

Peyton's very last play was the #1 mistake most rookies make. He should have known better.

Mark L. Baer/USA TODAY Sports
In his first full season as the Patriots' top back, Stevan Ridley (left) rushed for over 1,300 total yards and 12 TDs.

Maybe Bush is overrated.

Repeating my previous comment, Fox was not aggressive enough with the play calling. He got conservative at the wrong time.

And that is my final comment about that game.

Reese,

I would only sign Wallace for a reasonable price. I have a feeling that the fins will not go for an expensive receiver in FA. They may actually reach for a receiver in the first round like Keenan Allen and resign Hartline. They may double up and draft another receiver in the third round like Stedman Bailey or Swope. If you look at the GB offense (Philbin's offense) they never spend big money on receivers. I think that the fins will try to build the receiving unit through the draft. I think that Charlie Campbell's draft will be very reflective of what the fins will do:

1a. Keenan Allen 2a. Zach Ertz (TE), 2b. Justin Pugh (OT), 3a. Leon McFadden (CB), Stedman Bailey (3B).

Jennings,
1 catch for 7 yards in a playoff game. Oh yeah, got to have him, he will bring us 9 SB's.

REESE,

Flacco played a great game and shined at crunch time. Ravens are dangerous with Flacco playing great. What an arm and accurate.

What happens is fans hear a familiar name, like Jennings, and automatically assume the guy is gold. They forget that ha had a SB offense around him and a top 3 QB. Brady said last year that nobody was playing QB better than Rodgers.

I don't see that he is what we need, even at a cheap price.

If I was Elway I will fire Fox for taking the ball away from Payton. In too many situations. IMO Fox screwed up that game. I tell you guys what Fox gets fired by next week! It's too bad that I can't say the same thing about FIRELAND.... You guys think Ross is going to open that check book are dreaming. And for what so JI can't bring in bust after bust after bust!

Reese, its not fair to judge jennings on one game even if it is the playoffs, Overall, he's more than made a name for himself in establishing himself as a go-to guy...Green Bay has an offense where they dont have to rely on one man carrying the entire team(unless its the QB)...

Point is , even Good or great recievers can have bad games to but while i dont think miami should or will break the bank for him in FA, he still would present miami with an upgrade at the reciever position they so desperatly LACK at this point....

Some of the bloggers here obviously have personality disorders. I'm going to have dinner and watch the rest of the game. See you all around draft day.

*FOOL!!!

I am sure that Rodgers would have thrown Hatline more balls than he has thrown Jennings if he was on that team. Jennings is the 4th receiver on his team and some in Miami are crazy about him coming here.

Reese is actually on the money. I beleive that Jennings had 366 yards receiving this year. Frankly, I am not sure that he would even be an upgrade over Hartline. Also, he is injury prone. You are better off resigning Hartline and using an early pick on a receiver.

James Jones, Jordy Nelson, and Randell Cobb make it easy for Rodgers not to have to staredown one reciever in Jennings....unlike miami, they dont have a lot of 3,4,5's on their team...more like 1,2, and 3's..Just sayin!!!

kaepernick!! wow!

Packers also have Rodgers!

Like i said, even Good recievers can have bad days and every now and then they have a bad year...they are human too after all and not SUPER Beings...and yes injury is a ? mark with signing jennings as his age, however his career stats would put any dolphin reciever within the last decade to shame.....

Packers wish they had our OL.

superPhin,

Jennings has 3 receptions for 39 yards and 0 TDs. Does that sound like someone you pay 6 million a year and make your #1 receiver. We are better off going in a different direction. We need a true #1 receiver.

Orlando, your looking at one half of one game? Really?

If Jennings was on the fins his career numbers would not be as impressive. He has been lucky to have Farve and Rodgers throwing him the ball. With arguably the best QB in the league he has 3 receptions for 39 yards in this game and only 366 yards receiveing for the year.

Personally no orlando, it doesnt make sense that miami would pay jennings that much, but he is not the focal point of green bays offense so they arent relying on him as much this year given their surrounding talent overall around rodgers(and his injury situation)..If miami did sign jennings, I would think it would be incentive driven on his health and how many % of plays he's on the field for and he's guaranteed $$ would be minimal...

Mike,

What about the entire year. He had 366 yards receiving for the year. To put it in perspective, Davon Bess had 778 receiving yards. He is not worth the money and again I don't think that you can depend on a guy that is hurt as often as he is.

If Jennings was on the fins his career numbers would not be as impressive because we we dont have a QB. You gonna blame Jennings for that?

Now we agree superPhin. I would bring him here for an incentive based contract but if he is the only FA receiver we bring in, I would draft a WR with either the 1st or 2nd pick and I would resign Hartline.

I'm on the sign everyone opinion. If they have talent bring em and sort it out later.

Mike,

I agree and that is what I mean. I think that if Hartline and Bess were on teams like the Patriots or the Packers there numbers would be tremendous. It is all about the QB.

Also, look at Wes Welker. He had 117 receptions, 1350 yards and 6 TDs. He is a good receiver but a lot of that has to do with Brady.

I know that we need a #1 receiver and a big play TE but I just think we don't appreciate the contributions of Bess and Hartline enough. We are constantly slamming these guys but these two players have never had a HOF QB throwing them the ball.

Agreed Orlando

Kaepernick another QB that the PHINS had a chance to draft but instead didn't even draft a QB in the 2011 draft. Ross was on the money wanting Harbough he knows talent. There was a quote by the PHINS that 2011 draft that there wasn't good enough QB to be drafted in the first second or third round. That's was JI. And you guys think next years dolphins are going to be better. The only thing I see is at least 20 QB better than T-Hill right now in the NFL! Good luck Philbin with the garbage players JI picks for you. And I hope and pray T-Hill is the real deal. Well at least his wife is!

Orlando...RT has nothing HOF written on him either so Hartline and Bess could very well present the same type of production(with less yards in my opinion) next year even if we add a wallace and fred davis in FA...

I do agree with you tho on miami spending one of its first three round picks on a WR regardless with whatever miami decides to do with hartline..

the least miami can do is draft a young WR to push hartline for the #2 Spot on the team

superPhin,

If RT does not become a top 10 QB all the talk about top receivers is mute. Unfortunately, I think that we are in a tough spot. While Wallace may be the best WR in FA this year, he is not worth the 10 million he wants and at that price I don't want him. He would cripple our salary cap and his impact would not warrant it. Think about it 10 million a year is what Marshall makes and I don't think Wallace is anywhere the WR Marshall is. The other WRs in FA are full of question marks. Though I think that the fins could be reaching by taking a WR in the first round it may be the way to go. Take the big play TE in FA and take the receivers in the draft.

Jennings gets a TD in garbage time.

see, jennings can score*lmao*

We need receivers that actually catch the balls that most would not. And hopefully 60 percent of the time the can do that and stay on their feet.

It has been a long time since I have seen super catches by Miami receivers. Anyone Remember Gasden, Fryer, and the Marks Brothers. Guys we need receivers that make it easier on the QB.

I dont care who we get so long as the can catch the inperfect pass. I would draft every Alabama player available when we pick. Starting with Warmack. Unless that CB falls to us.

Go Dolphins!! By the way guys we hate on Ross a ton around here and he seemed to be right about Harbaugh he just could get him to come to Miami. Think he might be right on Philbin also.

I disagree on that Orlando....wallace in my opinion has far more potential and is more explosive than marshall is as a WR...he is young and would command double teams like marshall would but would provide better speed and more big plays....and he's less of a problem child so RT wouldnt have to fear him breaking down during the season....

10 million is steep but theres no-one in the draft this year that would equate to wallace's talent level at anything but a risky gamble, one that I wouldnt have faith in irefiend would make early...

I love how dolfans use stats to suit thier purpose. Orlando googled Jenning and only listed his recieving yardge.

He failed to mention 36 receptions, 4tds, and in omly 8gms. Let's add those figures to a 16gm production:

72 receptions, 782yds, 8 tds. Still had Jennings been healthy the entire season, the 782yds are probably much higher.

2011, playing in omly 13gms, Jennings numbers were:

67 receptions, 949yds, 9 tds

So continue to listen to clueless Orlando.

Yesterday's Gone 4Ever!, how many times do we have to tell you how to spell RECEIVER until you get it in that thick head of yours. Cmon Man!

Jennings gets a TD in garbage time.
Posted by: Orlando Dolphan | January 12, 2013 at 11:30 PM

Yeah, as many tds as Hartline had for an entire season.

Also, with 4 tds playing in only 8gms in 2012, Jennings quadrupled Hartline's td production for 16gms.

Those aren't exactly alpha receiver stats YG, they are middle of the road. So continue to listen to your clueless self. LOL

Its amazing the lengths posters here will go to intentionally hide the truth from themselves.

My biggest pet peeve with jennings is his health, which makes me RED FLAG handing him over a large sum of $$$, and he's not getting any older to warrant anything other than a 3 year contract...to me, wallace seems like the safer option if we indeed plan on spending on a #1 Reciever in FA....

Yes, like you. You are a hypocrite and a contradiction wrapped together.

actually he is getting older, I meant not any younger....

Greg Jennings Career games

2006---- 14gm
2007---- 13gm
2008---- 16gm
2009---- 16gm
2010---- 16gm
2011---- 13gm
2012---- 8gm

So as you can see, up until 2012, Jennings has never missed more than 3 games in a season. Im done doing research for a bunch of babbling lazy worry warts. LOL...

say what you will about baltimore and frisco...but the harbaugh brothers know how to motivate their teams into competing early and often, and even winning with NON-ELITE QBS....

superPHIN, Kaepernick looks as elite as they come. Whats he played 6 games?

WHAT A DUMB@SS

YOU JUST MADE ORLANDOS POINT CLEARER CONSIDERING WHAT A HEALTH RISK JENNINGS IS MORON

HIS LAST TWO YEARS HAVE SHOWN HE'S BECOME MORE INJURY PRONE AND OH YEA HE IS GETTING OLDER TOO, WHAT WILL HE BE? 30 YRS OLD NEXT YEAR BUT YEA IDIOT, LETS PLAY RISK AND GAMBLE 10 MILLION ON A GUY WHO MAY PLAY HALF THE SEASON NEXT YEAR!!

YOU REALLY ARE TRULY ONE DUMB SOB!

Posted by: superPHIN | January 12, 2013 at 11:55 PM

You dont have to neccesarily have to be an "elite qb" to play an "elite level game". If you didnt see that both these qb's add "elite games" today youre wearing "blinders".

Hell, even "elite qb's" at time have bad games.

As for Flacco, he does at times have elite games. Kaepernick as already had several "elite games" his starter career. He keeps this up and it wont be long before he's known as an "elite qb".

I saw a tremendous "refuse to lose" attitude with Kaepernick tonight, reminiscent of the great Terry Bradshaw. This kid is the reaL deal as far as winning games.

Just Saying.

I OWN YOU!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good Thing I Don't Bet! BOTH Games Were Upsets To Me.

Nobody, expected The 49ers to have such a good game. Specially K'nick.

The Ravens Game was a Good game also. So far this has been a good round of football.

Whoever watched The 49er Game! HEARD OVER AND OVER!! HOW IMPORTANT THE O-LINE IS!! And The 49ers have 3 First RD Picks On The O-Line!!

And Luitapa or Whatever His Name Is!! Showed how Important A Great Guard!! Can Dominate The Trenches!!

Draft Womack!! Sign Levitre!!

KEEP JAKE!!

Dominate the Line!!

Mike, His legs look elite but im not sold he can make all the throws when his running doesnt bail him out, and it also helps that he has one of the best 0-line in the league and a pretty damn good back in gore to help....can you honestly say the same if keapernick was playing here this year with said talent around him and having the same success with this overpaid unerperformed 0-line???

It would be CAM NEWTON PRT 2(with strecthers included)!!!

WHAT A DUMB@SS

Really? DUMBASS, you didnt have to the @ symbol to write DUMB@SS.

ROTFLMAO @ this DUMBASS! LOL...
