Cameron Wake is All NFL

The postseason awards are starting to filter in now and at least one Dolphins player is being recognized for a great season:

Cameron Wake.

Wake was today voted to the 2012 All NFL team by Pro Football Weekly and the Professional Football Writers of America. This is deserved as Wake had a career-high 15 sacks in 2012. I am assuming the big award, the All Pro awards by the Associated Press, will also recognize Wake in the coming weeks.

MATT RYAN!!!!!!!!!!!

Kris must be jacking off his dog right now!

Awesome game...

YG, tell us again how tired Seattle is! YOU MORON!!
Posted by: YG'S A MORON | January 13, 2013 at 04:04 PM

MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BLAH........HAHAHA..............

Matt Ryan giveth, Matt Ryan taketh away

Lost it for them and brought them back. Finally they are able to lift the curse

..WTF are the Falcons doing????

MATTY ICE AGAINNNNNN................. OMG HE DIDNT FROZE............ LOL...

Yesterday is nothing but Methane Gas with mental issues.

Spoke too soon. But I still dislike Smith as a coach. :)

Ryan was clutch in the final seconds. Maybe they are going to get the monkey of their back.

Orlando,

The truth is that he still wouldn't have won sh#t if Parcells took Ryan instead. ATL has Pro-Bowl O-lineman, two Pro-Bowl WR's, a HOF TE, & two good RB's & he'll be lucky to win this game....

Holly crap is.nolan ST coach as well?

DD,

Not sure I'm blaming the loss last night ENTIRELY on the GB OL. I think their defence went to sleep on the second half on SF. Kaepernick's an INCREDIBLE athlete and one of the QBs I wanted in the draft last year (Dalton was the other).

But the GB offence was brutal in the second half and I think a lot of that was on the OL (and the playcalling). I just wanted to make certain in all the hoopla from last night, that the play of the GB OL didn't get missed.

NO REPLACEMENT REFS ON THAT HAIL MARY! LOL.........

Mike Nolan SB?

When all is said and done these teams played like crap down the stretch. Defensively and ST were awful. Offenses were good by default. Matt Ryan got lucky though. 17-0 in the first half and he couldn't seal it. He can ice the game but he nearly blew it. Great game to watch overall

In a way Im happy to see Ryan win this game. I believed that a loss here nearly crushes the kid for the rest of nfl career. Would have been extremely sad for him.

WHDPs,

I agree with your post @4:13pm. Flacons eeked one out....big deal. Are guys REALLY going to say Ryan pulled them out of the fire becuase their kicker kicked a 49 yard FG. Seriously??

Let's see how he does next week against a VERY tough SF team.

Kudo to Seattle on having one Hell of a season. I underestimated them ALL year! This is a team to worry about next year and St. Louis will be better too.

Ryan would've had us in SB contention every year.

"Spoke too soon. But I still dislike Smith as a coach. :)"

Phins78,

The Niners are going to pound Ryan next week. Seattle had no pass rush today w/o Clemons.

Yeah...Atlanta was lucky. d was terrible second half and Koetter also called a bad game at the end. no reason not to use Michael T every down down the stretch...

Craigm,

WTH are you tslking about? With only 30 seconds to play, it was Matt Ryan's job to get them in makeble fg position, trailing by only 2 pts. I mean, what more do you want from the guy, he did his job and did very well!

WHDPS,

Again I agree with your comment at 4:16pm. Still something missing from this Atlanta team. They don't punish teams when they should and seem to ease up.

I like SF and NE for the Superbowl (although yesterday it was Denver and GB.....LOL).

Lovong this playoff football!! I SO want Miami to be a part of this REALLY soon!!

It must be great to have a team like Seattle. I know that they lost but how bright is their future? Fins fans are looking at a ton of holes everywhere. Pete Carrol has built a great team with very little need for improvement. In looking at this game, I would say they could use another pass rusher and another top flight receiver. I don't know them that much but they could probably use some OL help too. Not a lot of holes and they are very close. Their biggest mistake is probably having a 10 million dollar back up QB.

ATL wasnt lucky, Sea just left to much time on the clock after they scored. The outcome of this game shows there was still chance left the Falcons could win. It was only a 2pt margin. Geesh, people, get over yourselves. LOL...

YG,

They still needed their K to hit a 49 yard FG, no chip shot!! If he'd missed it, we'd all be saying, 'Ryan didn't do it again'.

YGDBFOOL

Why u stop talking bout me bro? Why u no give me more luv dude?

Matty "Ice" is 2nd only to Tom Brady.

Craig,

I believe the Niners are the best overall TEAM in the NFL. I thought they were last year too BUT that kid Williams blew it against the Giants.

I love their O-line, I love Frank Gore & their running game, & their defense is the best in football.

It comes down to being able to identify NFL talent. That said the Dolphins could have had Russell Wilson, Matt Ryan, Julio Jones and Zach Miller when he was a free agent. The Dolphins seem to go after the prototype WR, QB etc......The Parcells M.O. go big forget about athletic and quick.

YG,

Interesting you would tell people to 'get over yourself'. Maybe you need to take some of your own advice, no?

Now let's hope the Texans can pull it off...

..Craig M.. There is a definite change in the future of offensive football. The way teams are using this pistol style-deception offense could be the trend of offensive football in the future. I understand it puts the quarterback at risk, that it seems only a matter of time beofre an injury occurs. But it has to be much easier to get a young guy up to speed in this offense then the conventional, even what may have been revolutionary offenses of as close as a year ago.

The way quarterback is played from youth football, to high school, to college has groomed these new style of athletically gifted quarterbacks who can also throw. It is the future of the game(IMO) it could be possible that teams will start looking at guys closer to the skill sets of the Griffens, Kaepernicks, Newtons, instead of the classic drop back styles we are accostomed.

The way teams play defense will have to change. It is very possible the up the field pass rush studs could be replaced with quicker, more agile, defenders who can play horizontaly, who's skill sets are different from anything we idenitfy as important today. These new offenses render these stud end rusher useless most of the time as the deception is the equalizer to their skills as pash rushers.

Of course..This could be a fad, and all of my points above useless jibber jabber. I just see these offenses sticking, and the key to defending them could be an unconventional approach.

YG,

Interesting you would tell people to 'get over yourself'. Maybe you need to take some of your own advice, no?

Craigm,

49yds is makeble fg land. Ryan did his job. Why is that so difficult to understand? We can make excuses about anything we like when refusing to accept reality.

Reality is, Ryan did his job of gettying the offense in a fg position, and the kicker did his job too. Hell, even a 29yd fg attempt isnt "automatic". So many things can still go wrong.

YG < Cow Gas

WHDPs,

Good points. I would still have to flip a coin between SF and NE to be honest. NE scares the Hell out of me, if they are on fire.

Having said all that, watch them lose to Houston....LOL.

Craigm,

I guess juast like Mark In Toronto, youre unhappy when there's peace. See youre ready to start up again. Arent you a s s hole! LOL...

Tannehill isnt in the same league as these playoff QB's.

It must be great to have a team like Seattle. I know that they lost but how bright is their future? Fins fans are looking at a ton of holes everywhere. Agreed that their future is extremely bright but their O-line is EXTREMELY good. Their LT & Center are both Pro-Bowlers & they protected Wilson REALLY well this year plus they are great in the running game. Seattle built their team the right way & IMO they're the closest to the Niners which is a physically tough team on both sides of the ball.

BTW--They drafted both of their starting CB's Sherman & Browner in last year's draft!!!

I just dont know why CraigM and a few other other duffuses here think this blog was only created for them.

Guess what "gang of duffuses" it isnt. LOL...

Didnt Russel Wilson play in Philbin's backyard?

Guys,

Probably not the right time for this but I'm ready to scrap the TEs we have on this team and go in a new direction. I'm tired of the slow-plodding, stone hands guys we've had for too long.

I want this team to sign Cook from Tenn and do what they have to to land the TE from Stanford. I'd keep Egnew around for another year and hope to God he wakes up. I don't see him ever working out but he doesn't make a lot of money. He can stay around another year.

I see all of these teams with TWO TE threats. We've got NONE of that. THIS is the new age in the NFL. Wake the f8ck up and get these guys on this team....NOW!

CraigM,

I guess Ive just "run out of nice" when trying to deal with a duffuses like you. Even impossible's a much easier task. You guys are like youre "demonically possessed" with your head up your a s s e s leading the way.

Craig M, no one cares what you are "ready" for, nerd.

"Good points. I would still have to flip a coin between SF and NE to be honest. NE scares the Hell out of me, if they are on fire.

Craig,

Brady & that offense are unbelievable. If it's NE/SF it will be a heck of a SB. I'm somewhat old school in that I love the way the Niners play defense & run the ball. I'd MUCH rather see the Dolphins built that way then having a QB that throws the ball 35-40 times trying to outscore NE. Not sure what the new blueprint of the Dolphins is going forward...

..Oh well, at least the Hawks covered. I have the Texans in this next game +10. 2-1 so far this weekend. I was way off about that Ravens Broncos game yesterday.

YG,

I just have a problem with you telling people 'to get over themselves'. Not sure you realize how condescending that is. I know you don't like it when people say something like that to you, so I'm not really sure what you're thinking. I'm not even sure if your original comment was directed at me or not, but whatever.

If me calling you out on it makes me an a88hole then so be it.

CraigM,

Wake the f u c k up. Do you think Jared Cook's team is jus going to let a very young TE walk?

Geesh dude, if braons were rain, you would be bone dry. LOL...

32 teams passed on Russell Wilson, twice....
How should we have had Julio Jones?....
Zach Miller was good but wouldn't have gotten us any more wins...
I'll give you Matt Ryan.

The whole league is changing at the QB position, but if you notice, the top. 5 QBs are all prototypical pocket passers. Manning x2, Brady, Rodgers, Brees. RGIII, Wilson, and Kaepernick are breaking that mold but I remember Michael Vick was suppose to be that guy in Atlanta and in Philly and that didn't necessarily work out. Next year I think defenses will adjust to that kind of duel-threat passer (at least in the NFC where they all are). This was the first year that kind of QB took off and surprised everyone.

Promichael,

You are so right about Parcell's antiquated mentality. Look at his first draft here: 1. LT Jake Long, 2a. DE Phillip Merling, 2b. QB Chad Henne, 3a. DE Kendall Langford, 4. G. Shawn Murphy, 6a. RB Parmalee, 6b. G Donald Thomas, 6c. Lex Hilliard, 7. DE Dotson.

Six of the first 9 picks were linemen. The other picks a big slow non athletic QB and 2 RBs. He was planning on just pounding the ball on the ground and dominating the line of scrimmage. His strategy back fired. Except for Long all of the Linemen were busts or minimal contributors. Henne is a back up QB, and the other three picks at the end of the draft did not amount to anything. Parcell did a lot of damage with his philosophy of 3 yards and cloud of dust.

Enjoy the game guys.

YG,

You're a funny guy.....you tell people to 'get over themselves' and I call you out on it and I'm the a**hole.

OK bud....have a good one!

CraigM,.

You have a problem with waking the f u c k up period a s s hole. LOL...

If me calling you out on it makes me an a88hole then so be it.

Posted by: Craig M | January 13, 2013 at 04:37 PM

I'm pretty sure its your genes that make you an a88hole.

YG,

You been drinking today or something, bud? What EXACTLY is the problem?

CraigM,

Always the guy throing the stones and first to hide your hands. Everyone's on to you, at least 90% of the blog has no use for you. LOL..

YG,

Speaking of that 49 yd feild goal, when will coaches learn and quit calling those time outs?

I was talking to Jay Feely earlier this season after Philbin did that, and he said he would take that first "free" kick anytime.

YG,

You doing the split personality thing today or something?

I suggest Jared Cook as a guy that I'd like to see on this team and you start with the insults?

Why is it OK for you to suggest stuff but nobody else can? You can be a really strange guys sometimes....honestly.

Anyways, hope we're done for the day.....

YG,

You been drinking today or something, bud? What EXACTLY is the problem?

Either his wife is too gross to fckkk or he can no longer get it up.

CraigM,

Even your fellow countryman "Montreal" see thru you and the other transparent duffus Mark In Toronto. You guys are 2 of the most pathetic and troublesome bloggers on this entire blog.

The blog would actually be a better place if you two duffuses decided not to come here anymore. You both are like undiagnosed viruses here.
