Cameron Wake is All NFL

The postseason awards are starting to filter in now and at least one Dolphins player is being recognized for a great season:

Cameron Wake.

Wake was today voted to the 2012 All NFL team by Pro Football Weekly and the Professional Football Writers of America. This is deserved as Wake had a career-high 15 sacks in 2012. I am assuming the big award, the All Pro awards by the Associated Press, will also recognize Wake in the coming weeks.

I am one of the 50 people that vote for All Pro and I voted for Wake. So we'll see. Meanwhile, the PFF/PFWA All NFL team and awards are below:

LIFE IS SHORT................

At least Sparano can boast that he had an 11-5 record in his first season. Philbin has not achieved that yet. It is too early though, let's cut him some slack.

How about Weeden jackass?
How about no noe thought Tannehill could even start and he did, and he did it pretty damn well.
So how about if you don't know what you are talking about then STFU

how about 6-10 last year.
If you people would like to try to have an intellegent debate then please please please have some no BS true stats.

Monte will be posting under a different screen name in 24 hours, his comments are worse by the second.

Fisher was smart. He wasnt going to allow his future to rest on Irescum's incompetence.

Therion you must be changing names as I've never seen you here before.

Back to the draft.. A friend of mine came up with an interesting scenario.

resign: Long, Starks, Smith, Hartline, Fasano and Clemons.
Release: Bush, McDaniel, and Incognito (I think we save 4 million if we cut him)
sign only Jennings in FA.

Draft: 1a. Guard. Warmack, 2a. Guard Barret Jones 2b. TE Ertz, 3A. BA CB 3B. BA DE

His rational is that in this footbal era there are 3 important areas. 1. a franchise QB 2. Pass rushers that can get to that franchise QB and OL that can protect the QB.

With Martin LT, Warmack LG, Pouncey C, Jones RG Long RT. This could be the best line in the NFL. The running game would be awesome and passing game would improve with the addition of Jennings and Ertz. In addition, Tannehill's confidence would improve with the additional time to throw the football. Interesting theory to go with two guards with your first 2 picks and then addressing receiver with FA and TE with the other 2nd round pick.

Sorry Therin, My Bad, they were 6-10, 6-10 and 7 and 9.
There still on a 3 season slide..Just Saying.

Mark in Toronto & Craig M,

Gotta burn your a**es to see Ryan Clady there don't it?

Afterall, a few weeks back you were both rving about hw sh*tty he is. Remember when I tried to tell you the facts that he had 2 down years only because he was blocking for 2 of the worst qb's. Orton Mr. Hold the ball forever & Tebow who can't throw at all & scrambles for loses(sacks).

Read it & weep!

lol Fisher.. seriously? seriously? someone is still screaming about Fisher getting passed on by the Fins? one super bowl APPEARANCE and a .500 over all record.. compared to a head coach that actually HAS A SUPER BOWL RING.. Sub Par culture vs Winning culture.. enough said. Fisher is and always be a middle of the road coach.. Philbin went 7-9 with a mediocre roster and a rookie QB...
The franchise seems to have taken a turn in the right direction by hiring Philbin..

mattybfromnc ,

Wannstadt had 3 SB rings. You thought he was great too? LMAO!

Tony Nathan,

Mike Tomlin was a rookie HC. So was Bruce Arians. So was the guy in TB. So was the guy that had cancer in Indy.

What's your point?

So was Jim Harbaugh. So was John Harbaugh. So was Kubiak. So was McCarthy.

Are you getting the point yet?

Are they going to announce an All Practice Squad team? If so, the Dolphins would have several fine candidates.

Congrats to AP. He earned it, he deserved it. The reality is there was no way to give either to Peyton, who has multiple MVP's. It would have looked racist to ignore a truly incredible season by AP.

We would have had two if we didn't have Ireland as our GM.

Matt Moore and Allen Uverson would be missing from any "All Practice Squad Team". Both would make the "Practice, Are We Talking About, Practice Squad" though.

I don't think we can just assume the Brady train will run another 2 or 3 years. When a player or a team starts to decline, often there is no warning. Also with age athletes are more injury prone, and heal slower.

I see a general changing of the guard in the AFC. Houston, Denver and Indy look to be in the drivers seat, but from there, it's wide open, and the fins, if both GM and Philbin do what we think they can do, we can be right in that mix starting next season.

You think the Redskins would've won the AFC East? Only reason RGIII's in the playoffs is because their division was weak. Not taking anything away from RGIII, because I have a tremendous amount of respect for the guy, but no way in hell they would've made the playoffs in the same division as NE.

Sly, AlthoughI Hate Brady, Yeah I see him going for 2 to 3 years,,

Congrats to CW for making the All NFL team...a well-deserved accomplishment!

I'm not really sure where all the b**ching is coming from. No one with a fully functional brain picked this team to do any better than 5-11 or 6-10. They went 7-9, and that was with Bess out the last few games and Long with his annual trip to the M*A*S*H unit. Leading an offense as a rookie QB is hard. I realize that Luck, RGIII, and Wilson made it look easy, but they have more weapons at their disposal. Bush didn't even make 1,000 yards; I realize part of that is due to our stellar O-Line, but the guy played beneath his potential this year. He has to know he can do better.

Ireland has a golden opportunity to hit a home run in this draft. He also knows he damn well better, or he's out the door at season's end. My personal opinion is that things are looking up for this team, and I think they'll see the playoffs in a couple years. Which will be great, because 30 years between SB appearances SUCKS!

The NFC East with the Giants and Dallas and Washington is a far tougher division than the AFC East which has only one serious team. Maybe they don't win the division, but they easily win a wild card.

what are the chance the PATS "throw it all"...for Johnny football in a few years....

go thru hell for Johnny Manziel....

that might suck....

I gotta agree @ 8:41....

NFC EAST way tougher than the AFC EAST.....

and has been for a LONG TIME......

Slap in the face to Luck you had a better year than RG3.Did you notice that guy on there Brandon Marshall? The guy that Moran Ireland traded away for nothing.

I won't make any predictions. I'm hedging toward the positive for 2013.

That being said, Ireland and Philbin must step up their game. Ross has given Ireland more than a fair shot. He has this next draft loaded with picks, plus the we will see how his looking good 2012 draft progresses in their second season.

Phiblin, going into only his second year, is a seasoned veteran in the coaching world, he is no green spring chicken and shouldn't need too much time to show what he can do. He needs to show he can out coach and out scheme and make mid game adjustments that win games. He has had an ok start, but needs to impress us more in this coming season. Carroll did it. Harbaugh did it. Arians did it. Can he?

kris manziel isnt even projected high in draft, they dont like his size and his arm is avg at best

I would have agreed with you last year and the year before. But Russell Wilson has opened my eyes. The kid has got game in his own way. I wouldn't write off Manziel.

im not writing him just saying he has to play another year and that will be without a studs on his oline and people knowing who he is now. hes barely 6 ft tall, and like i said arm is nothing special

Most Improved Player - Cowboy WR Dez Bryant

Thanks Irescum

I suppose. The NFL is a different game. But look at how many GM's (all of them) didn't see Wilson as being worth more than he actually was.

It's a crap shoot. There are no experts.

NFL East has been arguably the toughest division in the league the last 3-4 years and produced 2 SB wins.

even jacksonville wont take tebow, his career is about over

Tannehill wouldnt evn start for his college team this year. Well, maybe at WR.

Really I could care less about individual honors on a 7-9 team. They are nice for players to get contracts but do nothing for fans. The pro bowl is a popularity contest and nothing more.

Manziel is a freshman. He'll be picked 1st or 2nd when he's draft eligible.

Let me ask you. If back during the draft the crystal ball said Tannehill would throw for more yards in his rookie year than any rookie dolphin qb in history, would you have taken him?

Because he did. That ain't a bad stat.

But it is plain to see you post only with the interest of getting someone riled up.

Sly, yardage is meaningless to me. Its all about the W's and Tannehill has never excelled at that. Not even in college. I'm sorry the truth hurts you.

If Ireland is Irescum in your book, what exactly are you? He obviously has achieved a far more lofty position. So you must be less.

u have no clue if he will shula, barkley was the number one pick 2 years ago. now he could go second rd or worse. manziels stock will drop next year with his stud oline gone. and hes def not gonna grow anymore

Lofty position?? Really? In whose opinion ?

You are worth nobody's time. That is obvious. But if you want to write off a QB after his rookie season and proclaim he is a bust...you are entitled to your opinion.

Brees was called a bust for his first 4 years and jettisoned. The GREAT Elway didn't win the big one until his final two years of a long career. The Super Great Marino never one it.

But I see you are too young, immature and inexperienced to understand how things work.

dusty, Manziel doesnt have to grow. The kid is absolutely great. And if Barkley recovers 100% he's gone before we pick.

Lofty position?? Really? In whose opinion ?

My wild guess is your job, if you have one, is not nearly as enviable as GM of an NFL Team. LOL.

Scum is not a lofty lofty position in my book. Just sayin.

If Sly thinks EVERYONE that makes more money then him is better then him......I feel very sorry for him.

shula u need to learn, all qbs drop quickly year to year. look at landry jones, a third or 4th rounder now, wow

If Sly thinks EVERYONE that makes more money then him is better then him......I feel very sorry for him.

Sly thinks Jay has shown that he is a bitter, envious person.

Jay acts like he never made a mistake. Jay doesn't realize that he has nowhere near the capacity Ireland has had to work hard and dedicate yourself to something enough to attain the position that he has. There are only 32 NFL GM's on earth, Ireland is one of them. Two billionaires have signed his paycheck.

Whether you approve of his work or not is irrelevant. To refer to him as scum only proves you are nothing.

"Didnt we have that guy Brandon Marshall on the team?? What do you know he's All Pro. F U C K U Ireland"

He was a weenie for us.

dusty maybe I'm just better at evaluating players then you are. Landry Jones was never good IMO.

"Therion, TanneBust is the only starting rookie QB that didnt make the playoffs. Put that in your pipe and smoke it!"

Let's see how far RG3 makes it next year. Smoke that, dude.

no ur def not that shula. barkley is complete garbage

Jay would you walk up to Irelands children and tell them their daddy is scum?

Is that the kind of person you are?

Bye again, LOL.

Ok, I know the routine from my last visit here. Soon someone (like Jay) will imposter my name and say stupid stuff. But know it isn't me, because I am out for a spell.

Go fins.

"Maybe they don't win the division, but they easily win a wild card."

Whoopee. The risk of a running back got them one (losing) playoff game.

That's the end of that 'run'.

sly says goodbye but never leaves? too funny!

i think i know which blogger is half the trolls here.
